Lamb always has the crispy bits too which is awesome, some spots avoid serving the crunchies. Fries are great too, as is the hummus and pita. Never really that busy inside, and it seems a little cold to me, but not a big deal as I'm usually grabbing takeout anyways. Seems a lot of people get DoorDash and/or UberEats delivery, then score low when it's cold. This isn't Gyro Guys fault.. Quit being lazy and go pick it up yourselves. A pretty good halal place! I got the small lamb and chicken rice platter, and they stuffed it with meat. Worth it for $10 because I finished the meal feeling very full. The meats were both very flavorful, but I thought some of the chicken pieces were a little dry. They did have a lunch special (chicken tikka) for $6, which is really good for how much food they gave. Reviews are great for this place so I couldn't wait to try it. The staff is really friendly and helpful so that's definitely a plus. They also seem to have an assortment of halal choices which looked fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, I was a tad bit disappointed in the overall flavor of my meal. I opted for the chicken gyro with fries. The gyro was plentiful - loaded with chicken, lettuce, onion and tomatoes. Nothing was wilted and all seemed fresh. However, the chicken was a little overcooked, under-salted and, to me, had a strange syrup-like taste. I just wasn't a fan. I thought after doctoring it up at home it was taste better but it didn't. We decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was super clean and the staff was very helpful. We ordered the lamb gyro and the Greek salad. The lamb meat was super tender but way too much lettuce on the sandwich, no tomatoes or red onions and very little taziki sauce. The Greek salad was different it had cauliflower in the salad? Very legit but admittedly not what I'm used to. I was excited to see a gyro and shwarma on the same menu - that means you're going to get legit Middle Eastern food, not just greasy "Greek" food that's been simplified for an American audience. I was much more excited when I realized the shopping complex this is located in has Arabic on most of the doors. The shwarma I got was likewise complex - it was not at all the peppery, garlicky shwarma I'm used to from LA and Europe, but it was still delicious, and, I'm sure, had a lot of distinct flavors I'm just not used to identifying. If I had to identify the difference, it was more of a tomato/cream paste flavor than the black pepper, hot pepper sauce and tzatziki you'd get at say, The Kebab Shop in San Diego, or the garlic paste and pickled vegetables you'd get at Zankou Chicken in LA. It's also worth noting that the Shwarma Chicken Plate is not as much of a plate as you might imagine - they still wrap the chicken etc in a wrap, it's just placed in a to-go foil with fries and vegetables. I would definitely go again but I'd probably try something else to find a favorite. read more

I would come here every week for the gyro fries alone! Outstanding flavors - cheese melted in beautifully-crispy and seasoned fries, along with gyro chunks piled on top. Amazing! I never really know what to expect when I go to a new restaurant like this. I have my two absolute favorites in this genre, ones that I have been going to for more than 20 years, so all get compared to those. It's a little unfair but those are hard to beat. I came to this restaurant to meet a friend who lives nearby the restaurant and cones here frequently for lunch. It's a new place, and so even though I don't live too far away, I had not been there before. It's a little hard to see because it is in a larger strip set off a bit from the road but it was worth the effort. Food was fresh and tasty, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the people were friendly. The decor did not quite match the food as it apparently previously was the site of a BBQ or Cajun restaurant but it works in Texas. The first time I came here I thought oh how interesting, mint tea. So I ordered it. But I feel like they just blended mint leaves and water which got stuck in the small straw. So, let me preface this review with saying in all my foodie years I have never had this popular dish before. I checked in on Yelp because I do that to remember to write reviews. They offered something for checking in which I redeem when I physically enter an establishment(if I want it). I don't remember what it was though. The reviews here are stellar and I am hopeful that this company will have staying power where others have failed, miserably. I have high hopes for this restaurant because of what I needed them to deliver: Well-seasoned, fresh, juicy, flavorful food. I was not disappointed! The chicken and lamb over rice with salad boasts juicy chicken and schwarma lamb over seasoned buttery basmati rice topped with (very fresh) lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion. I'm pretty sure it had onion but I'm not too sure because I enhaled the dish. I had a little taste of the chicken tikka which was moist and my company definitely inhaled theirs as well!!! I saw David N's review and was surprised to find out we had a chicken and rice place nearby. I usually get my fix at Jones Fried Chicken but so glad I went in to see what they had to offer. We ordered a large and small combo rice and a chicken shawarma to go. It doesn't beat out Jones but they definitely have my business. The chicken and lamb were flavorful and portions were good. So happy to see a New York style Gyro place open nearby; I discovered this style from food trucks in Philadelphia, which changed my whole perspective on food trucks, and left me with an unfulfilled craving here in Texas. This is not your typical gyro place -- in a good way. This location is pretty good. My wife & I each had the fried tilapia, with a side of falafel. The fried tilapia is grilled, with a flavorful coating, and nicely grilled. Falafel was good, but I would have preferred larger pieces. Also had a mango juice drink -- thick with mango. The fish came with the standard white sauce; I forgot to ask if they had the red sauce as well (I prefer a mix of both). I ordered a gyro lamb and fries. The fries were good with dry seasoning and came with lots of packets of ketchup. Now, the gyro tasted so delicious, the lamb meat with the sauce, cucumbers, onions and lettuce were authentic and left me wanting more even though I was full, lol. My food came with a drink.
