We drove all the way from San Diego just to try Halal Bodega on their grand opening day! There's plenty of street parking outside. There is seating inside and outside. Lots of space to sit! I loved that you can see the Hollywood sign from the front of the restaurant Service was fast and friendly. Abdul was very friendly and educated us about the menu! He had the greatest suggestion's! I love that the menu was small and simple. I wasn't overwhelmed with too many options. We ordered a single smash burger with everyone on it, the bodega special and the fries with everything on it too. Everything was soo sooo good! It was worth the 3 hours drive from San Diego with traffic. Super excited to come back!

Ahhh I'm so excited for this place because i've been loving their burgers since they were a pop up in the parking lot! It's a great smash burger that has a great bun, crispy edge patty, and great burger sauce. I love seeing a good halal option for a smash burger! Also they now have a chopped cheese on their menu that is ABSOLUTELY mandatory you HAVE to get it if you come!

Delicious smash burgers. Made to order! The quality is amazing! Great costumer service! I added jalapeños and they are fresh so the crunch it gives it so tasty! The wings have a nice crisp to them so even though they have sauce! The bread they use is nice and soft! All the flavors work well together and i love how thin and crispy the meat is!

crisped patty, soft potato bun, and thoroughly melted cheese- amazing 8$ burger pricepoint for great quality (: spoke to the owners who are two friends that started off as a pop up tent around Irvine and recently opened up their storefront in LA. super kind and they make great smashburgers, fries, and chopped cheese sandos!!

Wow! This place was a surprise. I was looking for food walking distance from my house and to have a smash burger spot near my house is a celebration. I got a double smash burger which was so yummy, it had crispy edges. The fries were exactly how I like them. Golden and crispy. I also got the Mango drink which was so thirst quenching and the perfect combo with the burger and fries. The guys making the burgers were so friendly, good vibes and good food. 5 stars and above +++

I wanted to like Halal Bodega, and to be fair, the burger was great. But the experience overall was frustrating. You can get in line around 5:45 and still be waiting at 8:25. The process feels highly disorganized, and the staff often seems more focused on talking with friends than actually cooking or moving orders along. If they could get their logistics in order, this place could be amazing. But right now, and in the short term, I can't imagine waiting another 2.5 hours for a burger anytime soon. I'll just go to Hammer Burger instead. I thought I was saving the drive to Santa Ana, but clearly I could have gone back and forth four times in the amount of time I waited.

Amazing smash burger! Got the double with pickles on the side. The hitter sauce had a sweetness to it. Enjoyed every bite. 9.5/10! Will come back!

The smash burger is great, the meat very well seasoned and smashed perfectly. The sauce is really good and the buns are toasted nicely. Everything is made on the spot with fresh ingredients and came out quickly. The seating and space inside is good. are The location is great with lots of fee parking in the structure in the back. Definitely am coming back anytime I need a smash burger

Halal Bodega is on another level. The quality of the food really stands out -- the burgers were insanely juicy, packed with flavor, and everything tasted super fresh. You can tell they use good ingredients and actually care about how the food comes out. The fries were hot, crispy, and just as good. On top of that, the customer service was top tier. Everyone was friendly, quick, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish.

Red and white tile, open kitchen, cooks in white hats calling out orders. You watch your whole meal get made. Double-Double Animal Style and fries. Order at the counter, they bring it out. Fries are cut in-house -- you can see the potatoes stacked by the slicer. Thin, hot, not greasy. Lightly salted and gone fast. Just fresh ingredients done right. Burger and fries for under $10 and you walk out full. This is probably my 2000th burger, and it still hits the same. An icon. The best! An LA staple. Clean, fast, consistent. I'm not getting paid to manage you, that is your MANAGER's job. I'm paying you for a service I am not getting, most of the time. This location gets my order wrong so often, I'm convinced it's by design to make the numbers look good. The manager gets away with it because ALL YOU SYCOPHANTS refuse to under-rate them when YOUR order doesn't go as planned. Most of America gets away with subpar service because a significant proportion of the Public can't be bothered to report or refuse to report so they can feel part of the In-N-Out Burger Cult. I order the same meal every time, with two fries and I only get one. They're often stale and resemble classic potato chips. I order a strawberry or vanilla shake and half of it is blended with chocolate. The burger is just meh at this point, nothing special, somewhat dry and small. But if I actually 'get my food' then at least I haven't been robbed of my money! The owner is an entitled billionaire who left the state because she didn't want to pay (literally) pocket change to the government to make our lives better. And here she is having her managers nickel and diming us to keep her profits absurdly high... I'm over it. I hope she fails. Get it together, Hollywood manager. Fix that traffic issue, fix the low quality of food preparedness, and stop ripping-off your customers who are too sycophantic to report your indiscretions. Cheers!

Very disappointing experience…read more I visited this Shake Shack on Friday around 2-3 PM, when temperatures were close to 100°F. The lobby was closed, and customers were expected to sit outside in the extreme heat. The manager informed customers that the lobby was closed but did not provide any explanation as to why as there was no construction going on and the tables were clean, with nothing wrong with them. There were children and elderly customers outside, and I was also working with an adult with autism at the time. I found it extremely concerning and unprofessional that customers were left outside in those conditions while the restaurant continued serving people. I understand that there may be operational reasons for closing the lobby, but customer safety should still be a priority, especially during extreme weather. On top of bad customer service- service was slow. A formal complaint has been reported to Shake Shack regarding this incident, and I hope management takes the matter seriously and reviews what happened at this location.

The Tenders were a decent size, very fresh and tasty. Our complaint is the tenders were luke warm. The fries were also good with a decent size portion, but they were also luke warm. The Texas Toast was fresh, but not warm at all and boring in taste. The Coleslaw was awesome and tasted great. If you like cold and creamy slaw, you'll love this side. Unfortunately, it's a real tiny portion. Just like the Tucson location, the food comes out super fast after ordering, and the employees are super friendly and helpful. The meal at the Tucson location was very warm compared to this location in Hollywood. I'll probably visit a Raising Cane's restaurant again, but they need to work on sending out much warmer food. For me, it's the chili that turns me off as I am not a fan of this food at all. Growing up, my family always made it with kidney beans which I don't eat, so I always thought chili was made with these (obviously learned later this was not the case). When a friend was craving Tommy's, I finally caved in to try it for myself. For this visit, I went for the #4 California cheeseburger with fries and a medium drink. I had a little trouble understanding the staff but once we were on the same page, everything was good. This was not bad; fries were decent and the burger was a big one. My first meal at Tommy's wasn't bad. Friend was raving about their strawberry milkshake so I returned later on my own for a chocolate one. Wasn't sure if this was the kind I can't stand (vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup instead of chocolate ice cream) but I finished it. Glad Tommy's isn't too far, and after a couple visits, I may add it into my rotation-
