The Halal Guys is good and reliable. The portions are consistent and the food is tasty. The service is friendly and efficient. I came during the lunch rush and surprisingly I was out of there within 5 minutes. I ordered the chicken lunch platter. That comes with rice, tomatoes, lettuce and pita bread. SO GOOD! They give a good amount, I ended up having leftovers. Food is fresh and delicious. I love the white sauce that comes with the meal, it is packed with flavor and takes the meal to another level!

My memories of Halal Guys will forever be connected to the late nights lined up at their original 53rd & 6th cart in NYC. They've since expanded; when perusing Boston dinner options on a food delivery app, the familiar name jumped out at me. I ordered a regular-size Falafel Platter ($14.49 on the delivery app) which comes with pita, tomatoes, & lettuce over rice. The rice & falafel aren't as soft & fluffy as I would've liked (it didn't have anything to do with transit time as our food arrived quickly, still hot & fresh.) Much better when combined with the veggies & lashings of white sauce & hot sauce provided. Large portion, nice & comforting flavors, however I'm looking for a more pillowy mouthfeel. My companions were happy with their platters of Chicken Wings ($13.99, choice of sauce) & Spicy BBQ Chicken ($15.49.) Times sure have changed. I love the convenience of delivery to my warm, comfortable hotel room; those exciting, exhausted, often drunken 1am's in the city was a lifetime ago.

This Halal Guys is solid and dependable. The platters I get from here are very consistent, and always taste so good. The service here is kind & quick as well. There is seating here too, though it was a bit crowded. Prices have gone up significantly since before the pandemic as expected in today's economy, so keep that in mind when dropping by--now getting halal may not be the most affordable/bang for your buck cheap bite depending on what you are looking for. Nevertheless, this Halal Guys is a good spot when you're getting the craving!

NYC Halal Guys was my first and brings back so many good memories. I stopped by on Thursday for a late lunch and my taste buds definitely missed the delightful mix of white sauce with a lil bit of red, on top of the yummy beef and perfect rice. The regular platter is perfect to share or to split for 2 meals.

Halal Guys in Boston serves solid, tasty Middle Eastern food, with flavorful proteins, gyro, or falafel over rice or in a pita, topped with their signature white sauce and hot sauce (optional). While the food is good, the prices can feel a bit high for what you get if you stuck with small, especially since the portion size difference between the small and regular for the extra $1-1.50 more is worth more. Service was quick and easy, luckily it wasn't that busy that I was able to take my time to order. Overall, if you're craving Halal Guys and don't mind spending a little more, it's a solid choice for the area. Regular platter is $13-14 but not sure what I added to make it more expensive then originally thought. 2x Regular Platter and 1x bottle soda totaled to $37.

Ordered through UberEats. Great value, nicely packaged. Looks unseasoned but packs a lot of flavor.

Beef Gyro Platter

As a Jersey girl, I'm embarassed to say I've never had Halah Guys in New York City. However, the Boston version did not disappoint. I tried the basic Beef Gyro Platter, which was loaded up with plenty of meat and rice. To my surprise, the meat wasn't too greasy and had a pretty nice flavor. I do wish they threw on some more vegetables, however. I added some of the hot sauce to my bowl, which was actually quite spicy! The location itself is nothing special, just what you would expect from a fast food joint. But, you're not coming for the service or the ambiance, you're coming for the food. I could see this being a good spot for either a quick lunch or a late night snack. Now I'll just have to visit one of the New York City locations and see what the hype is all about!

I went for the grand opening today. Waited for more than 1 hours. The food was okay and not worth to wait that long.

All street parking and we had to circle around to find a spot so plan ahead. We got a red wine and the flawless victory cocktail. I got to try a couple wines before committing to a glass. My partner loved his cocktail. Super well balanced and really unique combo of flavors. Both drinks paired well with all our food too. Zucchini pancakes (2/5) - the only miss. The pancakes were not crispy at all and ate very mushy. The carrot curry was delish but all the flavors together with the raita didn't really do it for me. White bean hummus (4/5) - amazing flavor and the little sesame ring it comes with was yummy. The texture of the hummus could have been smoother though. Sugar snaps (5/5) - perfect sweet and salty balance and really great texture from the quinoa. Good creaminess too. Octopus souvlaki (5/5) - well charred octopus and tender. The flavors were rich in flavor. Yellow split pea was a nice creamy base. Revani snack cake (5/5) - we almost didn't get dessert but glad we did! It a citrus pound cake with a pineapple glaze and a spiced macadamia crunchy topping. Served chilled. Very yummy and not too heavy. Overall very happy we tried this place. It's pricey for what you get but nice for a special occasion.

The menu changes often, which makes me wish I lived closer so I could visit regularly. We ordered quite a few dishes, and the portions were perfect for sharing. The fresh bread was an amazing start to the meal, and the sugar snap peas were a standout. Since the menu is always evolving, my recommendation is to ask your server what the chef is most excited about and order it. You really can't go wrong. This was a memorable dining experience, and I hope my next visit won't be too far away.

I am not a foodie and had no idea about the ingredients but am now interested in the art of cooking due to this experience. Now I only want to drink beet sumac soda!!! Okay, for a solo adventure I chose the bar and yes, they took me to a seat there. Looking at the menu I knew it was tapas style going in but before I could really start looking at anything the bar tender said, "or, there's a chef tasting." Okay, stop there, let's just do that and add the meat and fish option. To start was the Strawberry Fattoush - Little Gems, Cucumber, Pomegranate Vinaigrette, Pita Chips, Sumac - amazing. Next was the Warm Buttered Hummus - Basturma, Tomato, Black Olive. Still doing great! Then the Fried Mussels - Hot Peppers, Turkish Almond Tarator Sauce. Can't say I have ever had those before! The Spinach Falafel - Tahini, Beet Tzatziki, Pickles was next. Though you could roll it up, eating it that way was pointless. Back to the knife and fork. After that was the Grilled Asparagus - Sorrel Aioli, Puffed Black Rice, Bergamot Honey. Probably the most familiar looking dish of the night. Then the Sultan's Delight - Tamarind Beef, Smoky Eggplant Purée, Basil. Aamazing! Still going after that was the Swordfish - Nettle Freekah, Red Pepper Tahini, Buttermilk Fried Fiddle Heads. Then finally the Turkish-Style Profiteroles - Brown Butter Crème, Sesame Caramel Cashews, Halva with something else on the side. All of this with a Shepherds Pilsner which I believe is my first brew from Palestine. Who knew that was possible? Needless to say, the meal was quite an adventure. Definitely worth it. All amazing as was the service at the bar!
