For me, this is one of the better Halal Guys locations. Highlights: - They give you a LOT of food in your platters here. Some other nameless locations will be stingy on the rice and veggies, but this place gives you plenty. On my most recent trip here, the regular platter ended up being 2.5 meals for me and my SO. - They provided extra white sauce and hot sauce when asked - no hassling me for additional payment. - If there is a line, it moves pretty fast. - Parking is OK, can be a bit challenging - if you go further down towards the grocery store you should be able to find a spot more easily. read more

I enjoy eating at Halal Guys because I love knowing that if I have leftovers, it will still taste amazing later. The employees are nice, very welcoming. The restaurant wasn't crowded, there were plenty of chairs and tables. The restaurant was a bit loud, but it was tolerable. The food was amazing as always. I did tell the employee that I wanted no jalapeños, but that's probably my fault. I should have talked louder to beat the cooking and music volume. I was heading home and I was in the area of Long Beach so right away I thought why don't I stop at the restaurant Halal Guys, a popular Mediterranean restaurant. I pulled into the driveway and I wasn't worried about finding parking because it's a big parking lot and has many spots available especially right in front so I didn't have to walk too far. I walk through the doors and I was greeted by a friendly employee by the name of J.J. From the moment I walked in, J.J greeted me with a welcome smile and made me feel right at home! He asked me how my day was I told him it was good a little tired but I'm good, I asked him how his day was he replied He's doing well and said thank you for asking. I didn't even need to look at the menu because I know what they have and I always get the same thing. J.J was patient and ready to fix up my order, I told him I would have the large bowl he proceeded to ask me rice tomatoes lettuce and I told him the works that I wanted, told him I wanted extra tomato he put extra tomato for me and asked me again to make sure if that was enough or if I wanted more. I definitely knew that I was going to get the beef as the protein it's so flavorful and delicious with every single bite! I proceeded to tell him that I wanted beef and J.J wasted no time continuing to prepare my order. While J.J was preparing my for my food, J.J ask me if I wanted any of the add-ons such as jalapeno, onions, and so forth, I told him I would like olives jalapenos and everything else that he had, as he's preparing the toppings he showed me my bowl and asked me If that was good or if I wanted more, this whole time I'm thinking what great customer service he's providing. I told him to top it off with extra white sauce as he did for my request. I asked him if I can get some of the hot sauce on the side and he threw in an extra one for me! He really showed the most upright top tier customer service. JJ's friendly demeanor and genuine care for his customers made my experience all the more enjoyable, So enjoyable that I want to go back just to say hello to him, it's customer service like he provided today that brings back customers. When I got into my car I was so hungry I couldn't wait I cracked open the top and I was I was blown away by the generous portion size. The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the rice with all the toppings and the famous white sauce they have is the perfect combination! I had thoughts on myself once again that J.J had personally made sure that my order was exactly how and what I wanted. It was clear that J.J takes great pride in his work and genuinely cares about providing excellent service to all of his customers. I have been wanting to try The Halal Guys for a while and I'm so glad that I finally got to try it! First, I have to say I came in at the very end of the evening after a long day of Doordashing, and Stewie and Ray were both so kind and upbeat when I came in - it was a great way to end the evening. I got the chicken and the beef platter and both proteins were so good! The chicken was moist and had a great marinade. The beef had a little kick to it. It was great! The pita bread was nice and soft and the seasoned rice is really great as well-perfectly cooked. I LOVED the spicy hummus and the white sauce (which it seems like they're known for) is so good I bet you could put it on any food and it would make it taste good. Unfortunately someone had tried to break in and broke the front door to the restaurant. I truly do not understand people who try to steal from small businesses. Even with the door out of commission, the team was accommodating and uplifting and trying to lighten everyone's spirits. You can tell that people really love this place because as soon as people would see the door, you could audibly hear people say "who would do that". Not the best visit. I've visited this and the LA Koreatown location before, but this time was a little off. The service was prompt and friendly (probably LB State students). However, the food was not too fresh and not piping hot. I ordered the combo plate and both the chicken and gyro were lukewarm at best. The pita slices came out of a jumbled pile of crumbs and were quite dried out. I tried the Halal Guys Food Track chicken platter in Atlanta, GA. It was really good, citrusy, and flavorful. And also it is halal so the meat is good quality and pretty tender and well-prepared. The service was up to par and they also have other options as well as vegetarian options such as falafel platter. They also serve gyros and combos. It is a good mediterranean franchise to eat that. And the pita bread was super soft and good. And the salad was well prepared and clean. Had ordered takeout here on Friday , they get really busy during lunch time so ordered ahead and picked up . They have a tables to sit outside. It's in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking . I ordered the small chicken platter : chicken, rice, lettuce,tomatoes and pita bread and on the side they have their branded of white sauce and hot sauce. It's nice so you can put as much or as little you prefer. Everything was fresh , and good quality. The rice is servers over lettuce too, so it's way overloaded with lettuce but at least they give you on the side the white sauce packets so you have plenty to spread over. Any real NYer will tell you their Halal Guys experience standing in the freezing cold waiting in a 60 person line to get this stuff. Sometimes waiting an hour or longer. LA has no idea how lucky they have it to not have to wait outside for this food. It's just as good as I remember it and now that I know it's down the block from my employer I'll be there often. This is the healthy alternative to having a burger for sure! First up... get a combo. I go for a combination of chicken and gyro. It comes with all the toppings you want over a bed of shredded lettuce and saffron rice. I ask for jalapeños on the side as well as their signature "white sauce". BTW, ask for their hummus. So good!
