The Halal Guys is an enjoyable meal. The regular platter is large so the small is better for lunch. Their fries are yummy, crisp, crunchy and flavorful. You can add different veggies to your platter. Service is friendly and quick. The restaurant space is small inside with a few seats outside. They are usually busy during the lunch hour. I used to visit weekly when I worked nearby. read more

In comparing this to two other Halal Guys locations the chain is pretty consistent in offerings and flavors - this location in particular is quick, friendly, and filling =) read more

I had pretty high expectations for this place because I know how good they are in NYC. But our recent visit was nothing special. The food seems fresh and made to order. I had the beef gyro sandwich and my wife had the chicken and beef rice bowl. Both servings were filling and tasty. The chicken in the rice bowl was a little dry. But the other items made up for it. The restaurant is on the small side and can be difficult to find a table for four. The service of the food preparers were kind and helpful. Have ordered here several times and always pretty good in the past. This last time was disappointing for several reasons. The pita bread is shown looked like it was torn up by hand, which I've never seen before. The gyros meat was also overcooked. Pretty disappointed for what used to be a good spot. read more

Love halal guys, I always want to get it when I'm up here. My go to is the combo plate of chicken and gyro with extra white sauce. It comes with rice lettuce tomato and pita (hummus is extra). I'll even buy a white sauce packet and get one red sauce packet. As their red sauce is super spicy, so I suggest u put a little at a time. My husband doesn't even use a full packet. There's an app u can download and order ahead of time and collect points to earn rewards. I think the app also has special offers. There's a fountain drink station also. Limited seating inside and out. Free parking lot right out front. read more

They said they were temporarily out of protein and told him to come back in 15 minutes. He waited in his car. When he walked back up, the lights were off. He could see all the trays of food had been pulled out and they were cleaning. They closed early after telling him to come back. Completely not ok. read more

3.5 so rounding up to 4 Ok if you've had the OG halal guys cart in NYC, this will not compare flavor wise . However with that said, they do offer up a generous portion of rice and delicious gyro in their platters that still tastes good. I used to get the combo of both gyro and chicken but I just kept getting disappointed with how dry the chicken was. This was the first time I went and only got the beef gyro so I was happier with my choice. Unfortunately it seems like the pita bread it comes with just keeps getting smaller and today, the pieces I got were just dry. I went an hour before closing on a Saturday night and the workers were already closing down their stations and doing cleaning duties. Then with the same gloves they were using to clean, they used to touch the utensils to serve the customers. They were out of rice, a halal guys staple, and told customers with a smile on their face. I used to work in a restaurant and this is completely unacceptable to start closing duties so soon. I get wanting to leave earlier but then the store hours should be adjusted. No regard for the customers or sanitation. Just made everyone feel very unwelcome to come in and "bother" people being paid to serve food. read more

I'm from NorCal and we don't have a location here but I had heard a lot about Halal Guys. I was super excited to try it out. Inside was clean and not much seating. Much like chipotle where you go down the line and tell them what toppings and protein you'd like. The portions are extremely small. It was about $13 for the regular size (two options: regular or large). Was not filling. Can get twice as much food at chipotle for same price. read more

Having never been to the original location in NYC, it's hard to have anything to compare it to. I've been to this location a few times mostly at night for take out. Usually there's no line so service is very fast. I get the combo platter and the portions are usually generous but this may be hit or miss sometimes. The beef/chicken combo platter itself seasoned pretty well, but the white sauce is what puts it over the top. Plus the added warm pita bread on the side really rounds out the dish. The prices at this locatuon have gone up a lot recently, but if you want some fast takeout chicken and rice dish to enjoy at home, this place is worth a try. read more

Last night an hour before close the employees were scrubbing the grill and there were two of the food trays myself and my friend were served from that were sitting out of the heaters. There was nothing being made fresh. Some of the lettuce was rotten. My roommate threw up. The woman who served us finish d scrubbing the grill with a dirty cloth dropped it into a bucket of water then didn't wash her hands and put ok different gloves and served us food that had been sitting out and we got sick. Unacceptable. Also just to add ... a few days earlier we had attempted to order food from here and 30 minutes before close they "ran out of food". Seems like they just do not want to make food later in the day so they can prematurely clean and close early. read more

It's OK- not really worth the money. The meat is seasoned fine, nothing to write home about, and the whole plate is something that would be cheap and easy to make at home. Shredded lettuce and some chopped tomato with the meat is all there is to it. Their white sauce is good, the only thing that really adds any flavor to the lack-luster meal. As someone who lived in NYC when the cart was at its prime, truthfully the food here isn't the same, but it's a solid place with a variety of options and customizations in your platter or gyro. They always include the white sauce and hot sauce, which is great for a spice fiend like myself. I love that they also have a rotating special meat sometimes where you can get hot chicken or special flavor lamb. I usually stick to a salad (no rice) with gyro meat and salad.
