First time visiting and checked out the closer (2nd) newer location off Wrightsville. The original location is downtown. They were busy on a Sunday! There's a line out the door but it moves pretty fast. Gives you enough time to decide what to get. We tried the Italian and chipped ham. The Italian was perfect. The chipped ham was absolutely loaded with yellow mustard. I'd ask for it on the side next time. They have canned beverages, NA and alcoholic. Water and ice machine. Indoor and patio seating. Long tables for a big group or to share with new friends. The pickles are homemade and briney. Will be back for round 2!

I had their Italian sub with spicy relish. The relish was really spicy but definitely added to the flavor of the sandwich. It was a nice size and the price wasn't too high for the amount of food and the quality. The service was fast and inviting. The staff were very nice. The overall vibe of the restaurant was just a beach feel that seemed to be more so a get and get out type of vibe. I would recommend if you have a taste for a good sub and don't want something too heavy on your stomach.

The hype is so real- best sandwich I've ever had and the photo just does not do it justice. The pickle on the side was also the best pickle I've ever had. Our sandwiches came out quick and workers were polite and cool, making for an amazing beach day.

Absolutely loved our sandwiches from the Half. Walk in and browse the menu before going to the counter to place your order, they have 2 locations but we went to the one closest to the beach, I believe it opened more recently. I got the Harvey and my wife got the Chipped Ham. The Harvey came on a beautiful ciabatta roll and was perfect in every way. Juicy pastrami, pickled onion, slaw, swiss with a tangy garlicky mustard sauce. Perfect portion of meat and the cheese and mustard sauce complement the sandwich, one of the best things I ate on my recent trip to Wilmington. Each sandwich also comes with a side, I went with the house seasoned chips which come in a paper bag, good portion and a wonderful side. My wife's Chipped Ham was also good size, similar sandwich to the Harvey but comes on an Italian roll. Service was quick and smooth, place your order if you are dining in or out front and they will bring your food directly to you. Nice looking sandwich shop, a must try when you are in the area. They also had about 3-4 local beers on draft for a fair price.

Hello Harvey! I'll be back for more!

I shared the calabash style shrimp with chip and A Maker's Mark Salad. Both were delicious. The grilled peach sangria was refreshing and our server brought out my daughters order in record time which was much appreciated. The indoor area was nice and cool after a day at the beach. We were all left satisfied and full.

I saw so many tik toks about this place so I drove a little over two hours to visit and was surprised that it didn't look as good as it presented online. Starting off, I walked in and wasn't greeted at all by the host who I kindly asked to help me locate the restroom. When I came back from the bathroom, I sat at the bar waiting on my boyfriend to park his car to join me. As I sat at the bar, the bartender completely ignored me and didn't offer me a water or anything else which I had to request. My boyfriend came inside the restaurant after a very sweet, skinny Caucasian girl with long hair with a pony tail assisted him with parking (we're not from this area but come every year for the past 3 years). This lady was the only reason why we even decided to place an order at this restaurant. As we ordered our food, my boyfriend reassured me he would be more comfortable knowing I had more space being seated at a table. We requested to be sat at a table after placing an order at the bar. Once seated, I spotted a orange dot in my water (that I had to request) and as we were being seated, we requested a booth near the window and were informed there was a reservation for that specific booth although the entire restaurant was practically empty. Not only that but the host didn't wait until we were seated to allow us to finish our order, we made adjustments to the order we placed at the bar AT THE HOST STAND. Never have I been to a restaurant where the you make adjustments to your order at the host stand, he could've waited until we were seated to make sure our order was correctly placed while grabbing us both a water but neither the host or bartender did that. Overall, while visiting, I had to ask a series of questions that could've been avoided if I had just been acknowledged and given the basic decency of someone who works in a hospitality industry. Never have I had to sit down at a bar and request to be served or any restaurant in general. Other than that, the restroom was extremely uncleanly. The staff was passive aggressive and the server who took our order was practically whispering under his breath after I had already informed him I have a hearing impairment. This is the last place on the entirety of east coast I'd recommend you to eat. I'd suggest going to McDonald's before recommending this place- genuinely. Please bring Guy Fiery back, the menu was also overpriced for basic food items and we eat everywhere from dive bars to top scale expensive five course and Michelin star dinners... never again.

He had a great recommendation of the Malbec (Zuccardi) wine, which we were given a huge glass of. Would go back just for that wine. Best bite of the night was truly the Rockefeller Oysters, which come with a fresh biscuit but Kyle made sure I had the saltines I really love with them. Those were *eyes roll back in your head* REALLY good, especially for the quality of the cheese. Second best was the Blue crab pasta, which used local crab, but I think average flavor overall. Great portion and loved the capers but, didn't get the depth I expected from shallot and white wine sauce. I wouldn't get the salmon gyros again, even as creative that combo sounds the salmon was overwhelmingly not fresh and there wasn't enough tzatziki to cover it up. We loved the toasted naan and fries. Kyle told us the staff loves to get the salmon gyro but with fried chicken instead, I may try that next time. Overall a fabulously efficient and positive vibe from every staff member I interacted with, could certainly come back and eat another dozen oysters.

The sushi coming out of the kitchen also looked fantastic and is definitely something I'd like to try on a future visit. We came three times on our recent vacation. The first time my husband had a burger, and I had shrimp tacos. Then we tried the half price sushi happy hour, which is a great deal. We aren't sushi experts, so we tried the crispy rice appetizer and the California roll along with a tempura shrimp roll of some kind. On our third visit, my husband ordered another burger and I had the fried shrimp platter. We can't wait to go back when we visit the area again. We discovered this time that the upstairs has a great view of the ocean!
