I absolutely LOVE The Handpulled Noodle. Every order has been consistent and delicious. I appreciate their customer support. The food is as spicy as they say. As someone who grew up and prefers spicy, I think the medium is just fine. My favorites are the pork and chive dumplings, the garlic broccoli, and traditional stir fry with chicken. LOVEEEEEE handpulled noodle!!!! Always reliably delicious, consistent, and quick delivery. The spicy food is actually spicy, unlike many places that have barely any heat. I appreciate that they have expanded their menu to have a few new options over the past year. This is one of the few places where I will switch up my order and try out new dishes, rather than getting the same thing every time. The food always hits the spot. Pickup is often ready within 10 minutes, and delivery always gets to my house in around 25 minutes, even if the estimated delivery time is an hour. The only drawback is that over the past year they have stopped sending me as many coupons as they used to.... but it hasn't really impacted how much I order from them!! read more

I moved to Hamilton Heights this summer, and one of the first chance discoveries I made was The Handpulled Noodle. It's been on heavy rotation at least once a week ever since! You pretty much can't go wrong with anything they offer, although I'm especially partial to the spicy cumin lamb stir fry with either Ding Ding (thick chopped noodles) or Lagman (rustic long thick noodles). During cold or allergy season, the ginger chicken soup is a definite winner, too! I also *love* the cumin lamb and stewed pork belly bao sliders, but I only recommend getting those for pickup, not delivery...they lose a little something when you don't eat them piping hot! All in all, I highly recommend The Handpulled Noodle. Their food is delicious, and on the extremely rare occasion there's been a delivery mishap, they've been fantastic about sorting it out and getting things fixed ASAP. So I have heard about this little spot. I decided one night to order and here's what I thought: Scallion Pancakes: 5 They were more doughy than I expected. Not bad but I've had better. Won't order again. Dumplings: 7 I ordered fried for a change. They were good. Meat was flavorful but again I felt the dumpling wrapper was doughy and not light and tender. But they were tasty. Spicy Cumin Beef Stirfry: 9 OMG this was amazing. Once again I felt the noodles were to thick, I got ribbon noodles. This dish is so flavorful! I got medium spice and it had a kick. Small physical space, so not much a dining-in option, especially during Covid, but it's absolutely my favorite option for takeout or delivery, hands down. Not only is the food delicious, but the delivery service is prompt, and the delivery packaging is the best I've seen. Wontons, greens, etc. arrive packaged in separate container from the broth so the veggies don't arrive prematurely limp, and the separate packaging makes it evident that everything is freshly and carefully prepared. ordered two different soups from here and created what inside the soups. The name is the built your own soup (w/ handpulled noddles). I chose the one of the herbal beef soup and with chopped ribbon noodles and with veggies and extra veggies and no scallops and no cilantro. And another order is almost same with other order only differences is I choose herbal ginger chicken flavored for the soup so the rest are same. The soups are comes on time. But in the soups no vegetables not any. They put onions in the soups but they were not mentioned about that in the menu. And also the noodles were in very bad condition. they were stuck together and looked like mud. It was horrible my moneys are wasted for this horrible food. I'm not going to be order here again. I had the spicy cumin lamb soup and it was generously portioned with plenty of meat and noodles in a flavorful soup. This hit the spot. Andréa who took my order was a lifesaver - he was very friendly, offered great recommendations off the menu, and he was so kind to hold onto my purse for me when I foolishly left it behind. Definitely a gem in the neighborhood without a doubt. I was looking for a quick place to eat when I stumbled upon The Handpulled Noodle. I was looking for spicy soup with flat hand ripped noodles and this place had just that. I ordered the ribbon noodles in the beef soup and lamb soup..decided to add some homemade steamed dumplings as well. I was actually quite blown away by the depth of beef and lamb flavor that were in those soups. The spicyness wasn't accompanied by an overwhelming amount of chili oil either. The noodles were thick and had a nice chew to them but if you prefer thinner noodles they have that as well. Great quantity for the price you pay but if you want extra noodles you can pay a little more for that as well, however I didn't feel the need for it. What really surprised me were those dumplings! I thought I couldn't be more satisfied but when I tried those dumplings...man they were on another level. Each piece had well seasoned and marinated meat, not dry whatsoever and most importantly they were packed with juices. Every piece literally oozed juices out so I would try to take them in one bite after they cool off for a bit. Add some chili oil and vinegar too while you're at it. I would not suggest you to leave this place without trying their dumplings, they are a must. As for the drinks I suggest their lychee tea. Servers were very nice and informative about their menu as well. Easy 5 stars from me. read more

Finding quality noodles in Harlem is hard. You basically can't find them, and if you do, they probably are out of your delivery zone. Well, problem solved. The Handpulled Noodle is DELICIOUS and has a nice delivery range if you live in Harlem. Especially during cold weather, these noodles will warm you right up, with your preferred level of spicy, and make you feel like you ventured down to Chinatown for authentic noodles. I decided to update my review because I'm seriously obsessed with this place! Truly the best Handpulled noodles I've had, period! Every time I try a new Handpulled noodle restaurant, I am always dissatisfied, due to my high expectations that I received from this restaurant. Unfortunately, I do not live in Washington Heights anymore but I still crave their Handpulled noodles all the time, quite literally. In fact, if I'm being honest, I used to go to this spot every week on Fridays. I've seen high reviews for "Very Fresh Noodles" and when I tried it, it was okay. Wasn't bad but also wasn't necessarily the best I've had. Also, I've tried the Handpulled noodles at "Big Biang Theory" in downtown OKC, which was very similar to "Very Fresh Noodles" (but a bit less seasoned). This is probably uptown Manhattan's best restaurant. Especially for those who want fresh and handmade food that is not only super complex but comforting and straight from the soul. Basically, I refuse to leave the neighborhood because of The Handpulled Noodle. We especially love all of the Native Picks, with the long ribbon noodles. The Dapan-niu, with tender and melt-in your moth Beef is outstanding. The Dapan-ji, bone-in chicken, is also great. So is the stewed pork. Sometimes I go for mild spicing but if I'm feeling up for it I'll do a medium or hot (but watch out, the hot ones are accurately described. The beautiful flavors of the stews go so well with the chewy and silky noodles. All of them are good. From time to time, I make my own stir fry, especially for a Cumin Lamb one with its herbal and spicy heat. The dumplings are all 10/10 but get them steamed instead of fried as the chefs intend. The sliders and the scallion pancakes are some of New York's best. We also appreciate the customization that's integrated with the menu. Diners can select heat level and cooking options, which makes the menu always fun and different. Lastly, don't overlook the veggie sides, which are perfectly cooked and make great leftovers throughout the week. I have yet to try the soups but seeing as we're all inside and need comforting and nutritious foods, I will keep exploring The Handpulled Noodle's beautiful and authentic north-western Chinese offerings. Love this place! Have ordered takeout from here multiple times and I almost always get the beef with stir fry veggies and medium spiciness and then change up the noodles I get. The handpulled ones are always the best (my favorite being the langman noodles) but the Shanghai noodles are also pretty good! I've also gotten the pork and chive dumplings before which were great, although I was not a fan of the dipping sauce that comes with the dumplings as it tasted weirdly sweet to me. I see a lot of people here have had bad delivery experiences so I highly recommend if you're in the area to order through their website for takeout (I.e. not through Grubhub or seamless). I've never had an issue and my order has consistently been ready at the time I'm told. A weekly must! My boyfriend and I order from Handpulled Noodle every Friday night. I am allergic to dairy & eggs, and they have a TON of options to suit my tastebuds & restrictions. My boyfriend consistently gets the Wokked Chicken & Vegetables with lagman noodles plus the Pork & Chive dumplings. I constantly change my "favorite" order. The Spicy Cumin soup is incredible, especially with the sweet potato noodles or chopped ribbon noodles. But I also love a standard wokked dish with lagman. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I also HIGHLY recommend the Scallion Pancakes. If you are looking for Vegan options, I recommend Spicy Cumin Seitan soup or the Wokked Veggies & Seitan with any of their handpulled noodles. The Sweet Potato noodles are also delicious in soups. Their Buddha's Veggie Delight dumplings are also a great bonus. If you're a fan of garlic, ANY of their sauteed veggies with garlic are a great add on to help round out a great meal. read more
