    Lamb langman noodles
    Khadijah H.

Stopped by this established for a quick bite. Saw many raving reviews online. This location is tiny but has a limited amount of indoor seating. There was no line so I was able to quickly order. I chose the scallion and ginger stir fry, added lamb and chose the Lagman had pulled noodle. One thing to note is the dishes are buildable. Starts with a base and as you want to add, it costs. That's how I got, got. My meal easily went from $15 to $22 with the addition of meat and hand made noodle. As I'm a tourist, this price makes sense as I'm splurging. As a person who wants a regular meal, this is pricey for a takeout box of noodles for 1. Now, the meal itself was tasty. The meant was flavorable and tender. The noodles were cooked al dente so a bit chewy. I ate the box in one sitting and I felt just full. Would I return, possibly but I wouldn't fall for the add ons. I'd just choose an already made meal/ dish

We walked in and ordered with the woman behind the counter who was very friendly. We got 2 orders of noodles one with broth and one ginger and 2 orders of steamed dumplings. It took a little while to prepare since everything is made to order but to me that means it was super fresh. Its a small place so there are just stools against a wall with a bar to wait and eat. The servings are huge and the noodle container alone is heavy. The dumplings are perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back. Parking is just hard since the meters don't always work and there isn't always free parking available.

I've had hand pulled noodles before and it was so flavorful. So coming back years later was definitely cool. I went around 9pm. They close at 10pm. I ordered Curry stir fry noodles with Jackfruit, scallion pancakes , and a mango tea. I really enjoyed the noodles , they were so delicious and flavorful and addicting. I saved some for lynx for the next day at work haha. The scallion pancakes were pretty salty and honestly not my fave. The mango tea was tasty as hell! I like that they have different options for noodles that you can have with your meal. I would definitely go back for the noodles or dumplings! Staff were friendly and accommodating.

    Cumin noodle

My husband and I have been loved the noodle! Their cumin noodle is very good and addictive we used to live in Washington heights but moved to NJ. I hope they would open a restaurant in NJ as well!!!

    Dapan Niu

Solid spot for noodles, I got the dapan niu from a friend's suggestion and even though was recommended the chopped ribbon noodles, stuck with the classic ribbon and I'm glad I did. There's something so satisfying about the long squishy noodles, they went really well with the rich stewy sauce and tender chunks of beef. I thought it was so interesting to find potatoes in addition to the typical peppers and onions, but it really worked. The pork and chive dumplings were just fine, I'd skip next time. But would go back for the noodles, perhaps the ginger scallion next time.

The server was sweet and the food is AMAZING. The flavor is fresh and the noodles are perfectly done. Just a nice laid back place, limited seating, but easy to take to go as well. Portions are big and good balance of veggies and protein.

    Curry Stir Fry and broccoli.

Wayyy too salty and also overly greased. The curry noodles were swimming in salt and oil. The broccoli was wonderfully garlicky but again, so overly salted it was a bit hard to consume. Go easy on the salt man!

Heard good things and sentiment was right. Phenomenal pulled noodles and excellent dumplings. Also tried the scallion pancakes which were delicious. I've been bored with standard Chinese in NJ so this was a breath of fresh air. It's kind of a hole in the wall setting so don't expect the Ritz by any means, too cold in the middle of winter to sit outside and there are a few seats and table available inside but we did takeout and it carried well (we did wolf down the scallion pancakes in the car before leaving lol). It's a very solid option.

Everything was good, especially the stew beef noodles called Dapan Niu. The meat was soft and tender, and the sauce was so favorable. It was my favorite. I think my shrimp wontons in the broth could have been more favorable. It was lacking something. The pork and chive dumplings were amazing. It was like eating their scallion pancakes, but in a ball form, they were my kids' favorite. As for the noodles, I got the traditional stir fry with added chicken and the cumin stir fry. Although the flavors were there, they were ok. I think it's better to dine in on the spot. The time I got home, they were all stuck together, and they began to break, and that just changed the whole experience. The place is really small inside, but it gave a very intimate vibe. You were able to sit at countertop tables nestled up near the wall and by a window. The service was great. The guy who took my order was pleasant and explained the selection of noodles to me. I think the prices were decent. I would return to this restaurant. I'm giving two thumbs up. Happy Yelping!

The food was delicious. I had the curry noodles it had great taste spicy but balanced. And the shrimp wanton soup it warmed my soul.

Would I be able to order spicy ribbon noodles with just veggies?

Does this restaurant serve halal meat/broth?

Are the sauces safe for celiac (e.g. soy sauce has wheat in it?

When my GF friend eats here with me they are able to get glass noodles (japchae) or rice noodles for the build your own stirfry. I don't believe these noodles are available for all dishes, however.

They have a picture to promote calling the restaurant directly, how if the number listed doesn't work? ? Ok don not through the Yelp app. NYC restaurants should sue yelp. Your call through the app goes to grub hub and doesn't work

You can go to the restaurant official website thehandpullednoodle.com and order directly from the restaurant.

How many wontons come in an order?

SO many ! like too many to count- I stopped counting at 13 but YMMV- they are DELICIOUS

Is this place BYOB as far as beer goes when dining in?

Per owner, Only if camouflaged in a paper bag.

    Is this halal?

The lamb we use is certified Halal.

Do they separate the noodles and soup for delivery?

    Yes. :)

    Are there confirmed vegan options?

Yes! The dishes with seitan are vegan and the mushroom salad, though I've never ordered it. My favorite is stir fry seitan with chopped ribbon noodle :) long time vegan here!

I missed a call and literally two minutes later the call came through again and the woman yelled at me - "hurry up hurry up, hurry up, hurry up!" said the driver was waiting 10-15 minutes for me, which was simply untrue - I got a call literally two minutes before- just rude. Added a screenshot in case the owner doubles down that it was 15 mins. Guess the first call was from the delivery driver, and the second was from the restaurant itself. ‍ But the really disappointing part is that they didn't pack any soup separate from the noodles! - So my chicken dumpling noodle soup basically had no soup - don't know if they forgot it or if it was absorbed by the noodles but most restaurants at this point know to pack the broth and the noodles separately,- so I ended up having to add some of my own vegetable broth, which totally was not the flavor I was hoping for. So - love the food, but delivery service leaves a lot to be desired - next time I'll try giving instructions to pack the soup separate from the noodles and see if that helps!

"How 'bout there?" he responded pointing to Excellent Dumpling House. It was directly across the street. I pulled up Yelp, saw good reviews and readily agreed. At 3:30, the restaurant was empty. There were a few takeout orders, but we were the only people sitting down for late lunch. And y'know ... it was pretty good. Wonton soup is what I'd expect in Chinatown. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Then we got a handful of apps - everyone else swore by all the ones they'd had - but I just tried the Salt & Pepper Shrimp and... sweet baby Jesus, this little plate had a wicked amount of flavor from every angle.  "Aggressively seasoned" might be an understatement.  Wild. Onto the mains and I ventured towards their Spicy Drunken Noodle (my go-to whenever I'm hitting a Thai restaurant on my home turf) and... yeah, you probably guessed it - incredible. Not the biggest portion but they made every single component sing with flavor. With so much going on - of course I needed to indulge with another drink (hey, I wasn't driving!). There were six of us, it came to about $100 a person... welcome to NYC. But we did get a wide selection of plates/food and those two drinks accounted for about $40 of my tab. (And you'll never see such a heavy wine pour at a restaurant... they filled the glass almost to the rim - which was not even something I'd do for myself when I'm home.) Definitely recommended.

Split the Fortune Cookie Red Velvet Cake which okay I thought there would be more creativity with adding fortune cookies somewhere in the cake but it was just a cake with fortune cookies on top.
