Came here with my boyfriend because I had a huge craving for spicy dry pot. Their menu is interesting because it has all different kinds of "chinese" food. They have a dim sum menu, food from Hunan, food from Shanghai, and even American Chinese food. Normally I don't like this style because it means they wouldn't be good at any one cuisine, but I thought everything here wasn't bad. We ordered the chili wontons, pork soup dumplings and the spicy dry pot with 7 ingredients. The chili wontons were a miss for me, I thought it was kind of bland. The pork soup dumplings were surprisingly really good! And the spicy dry pot portion was a lot and filled me up. We had to buy extra rice because we ordered for two. I made an order for delivery through Uber Eats late on a Sunday night and food was delivered fresh and still warm within about 30-45 minutes. I ordered the sesame chicken and it came exactly as expected and tasted great, though I do feel they could have packed a bit more into the bowl. The chicken came with a side of white rice, though I wish there would have been a brown rice option, the white rice was really light and fluffy! I was really craving a really nice Asian beef dish but I haven't always had good luck in the past. I don't often get beef when I order Chinese (I usually opt for chicken or shrimp. when done well I sometimes enjoy a nice Mongolian beef.) But this time, I decided to try something new: I decided to order the sesame beef and it was the best decision. This was one of the best meals I've had recently. The beef was perfectly crispy with a sweet taste snd the portion was generous. The price was more than your run of the mill takeout but the quality is so worth it. This restaurant clearly knows what they're doing. One glance at the menu and you can see that they're authentic Chinese. They have so many protein options you don't find at most restaurants (kidneys, duck blood, pigs feet). Definitely for the adventurous eater, but they also have Americanized favorites as well. Food: I would say the food is quite decent. Pork soup dumplings have enough meat. The fish dish is quite spicy but it is delicious. (Ask the server to do it with less spice if you can't handle spice like me). But it would be great if there are more fish fillets. To be honest, I went to the restaurant because I am craving some cold sesame noodles. Although the dish itself is good, it does not meet up my expectation. The taste is very sweet and greasy. My parents and I were on the way home when some unforeseeable problem occurred at the Port Authority Bus Terminal happened, preventing all buses from leaving. Instead of waiting for who knows how long we decided to grab a quick bite to eat somewhere nearby. We were pretty tired from walking all day so finding this right next to the terminal was a great spot! We came in around 6:30 PM on a Thursday night and it was almost full. We were seated immediately and looked through the menu. We ordered crispy orange chicken, sliced beef with scallion, and the braised beef flank Hunan rice noodle soup. The waiter warned me that the soup was spicy but it wasn't bad at all for me. Additionally, it basically came out instantly. It took about maybe 3-4 minutes after I ordered for it to come out which was nice but I still waited for my parent's orders to arrive. All the food was good! The beef flank was delicious and the soup was comforting on a cold night in NY. The crispy orange chicken was delicious. It was nice and crispy on the outside and a nice juicy inside. The beef with scallion was also a great pick up! I enjoyed the food that night and the service was not decent. The biggest issue for me was it was a bit pricey for the two dishes and not the soup. The soup I thought was a bit reasonably priced but the two dishes came with rice and were a bit small for the price of $20 each. Regardless, it was enough to fill us up but if we were very hungry we might go elsewhere. Overall not a bad experience! read more

This is my favorite dry pot place in the neighborhood! My favorite is the build your own pot where you can select the meats and vegetables as well as the spice level you'd like. I always get the pork and lotus root - the root is perfectly cooked with the right level of tenderness and crunch. I get the medium spice level and as someone who loves spicy food, it's just right for me. My friend and I split some of the appetizers, including the pork soup dumplings and scallion pancakes. The scallion pancakes are super tasty but the pork soup dumplings are a bit too thick for my taste. Overall, a solid 4.5/5 meal! read more

For a party of 2, we got 3 dishes to share: Sauteed Hunan Smoked Pork with Green Leek, Salted Egg Sauce with Shredded Potato, and Tea Smoke Duck and 2 bowls of rice. Considering our choices (Everything was salty), we finished the small bowl of rice in no time. We agreed on the Smoked Pork with Green Leek being the tastiest dish out of the three. The smoky, salty flavor paired so well with the green leek, delish. For the shredded potatoes, the taste wasn't as interesting as the name sounds. Wouldn't really recommend it unless you like want the salted egg taste which was more on the subtle side. The smoked duck was good with lots of duck meat and a tasty hoisin-like sauce on the side to dip. The portions here are quite generous so we got the leftovers for take-out. read more

Came here for dinner during Chinese New Years. The place was pretty packed but we were only two people so we got seated right away. The larger groups had to wait a bit. It's Hunan cuisine and pretty authentic too compared to some of the other places in Manhattan. It's definitely surprising to see such a high quality Chinese restaurant in the middle of Hell's Kitchen area or basically any place outside of Chinatown. It's a little pricier than what you would see in Chinatown but it's not that bad. We got the cabbage with pork belly, beef and green chilies and the whole steamed fish with peppers. Everything was delicious! The first two dishes came out in about 10 minutes but the fish took longer about 30 minutes though that's typical especially for such a busy night. The host was very friendly and gracious and the waitress was helpful as well. Service overall was speedy and efficient. I went here again during lunch time with 2 other people. We all had the lunch special...soup and a main dish for about $10 each. We tried both hot & sour soup and egg drop soup, and both were good. I ordered recently last week because I was craving some more Chinese food. Got the cumin lamb and the broccoli chicken.
