Hit or miss. I have gone here quite a few times because I live close by. The food tends to be hit or miss. Some of the food on the menu is really good and some is not. I have had their Dapan Niu and I like it most of the time. Sometimes even when I request that the food be spicy they forget to add spice to it. Their Drunken Noodles are subpar. It lacks bold flavor and I had to add additional stuff to it to make it taste good when I had it. I have tried several other things on the menu and they are decent. A lot of the dishes lack flavor. My favorite place to order take out in the neighborhood. Great variety of noodles, so you can always try something new everytime. Spice can be really hot. So choose wisely on your level of spice. Dopeness. I found this place just googling noodle spots near me. I actually thought it was a full restaurant & was slightly surprised when I arrived. Its sort of a take out place with a few chairs to eat but they have a window you can pull up a chair to which was sooooo nice on a cool day (I know, I'm easily impressed). My favorite is the Lagaman noodles (they are so thick and chewy) with lamb or beef and I love all the dumplings and that brown sauce they come with. SO tasty, great sized portion and cheap in cost. This is the thing I order when my partner leaves me to fend for myself (lagman noodles with beef) or when I'm feeling under the weather (beef noodle soup). So by sheer serendipity I found this place on Instagram. Photos on their page were beautiful and I knew I had to try these noodles... but I was a little hesitant because of the location, it's chinese food in Harlem, I wasn't sure if the food was going to be authentic or "whitewashed" y'all know what I mean... "Americanized". On the other hand I was relieved to not have to travel all the way downtown or to queens to enjoy northern Chinese food. It's a very small restaurant and didn't have outside seating but wasn't hard to find. I was cheerfully greeted by the lovely lady at the counter. Regrettably I never got her name. She was very helpful, answered my questions about the menu politely. Even with her mask on I saw her smiling at me. They don't accept cash but that was alright because I love using Apple Pay. My order: Spicy cumin lamb stir fry ribbon noodles (medium spice) Beijing Bolognese Cucumber salad Chicken fried dumpling Pork fried dumplings Amazingly authentic flavors and Perfect proportions. Handpulled Noodle is my favorite takeout place in NYC! I'm vegan so I always get the handpulled noodles (ding ding or lagman) with veggies & seitan, medium spice. They are so damn good, I can't believe it. The seitan has such an amazing texture and soaks up the broth so well. And the noodles are so delicious and chewy. The food is crazy good, but I gotta give 3 stars because of the delivery policy and procedure. I ordered well in advance of when I actually wanted my food, about an hour (ordering at 7:50, expecting food by 9:00), knowing how busy they are on Friday nights. Seamless claimed 30-40 minute wait for delivery, and about 20 minutes after ordering, I get a notification that my food is on its way BUT that it would arrive between 9:30-9:40. Called the restaurant and was told "Yeah, that means it's on its way." Don't change the advertised delivery time AFTER you've already taken my money. read more

The best part of the order was the can of Coke. The food, well, it was inedible. I ordered the chicken noodle and the pork and chive dumplings. The noodles were a gummy mess, the chicken was none existent, and the veg consisted of unripe tomatoes. The dumplings had congealed pork fat on the side of the dumplings. This is one of my favorite noodle spots in NYC but I was very disappointed with my last experience. Also this is only a critique on the service not the food. I made a delivery through yelp, the person calls me back and says that they don't have someone to delivery the food so I should cancel it. Ordered take out from here on a friday night. BF ordered the usual bolognese dish and since it was my first time, i got the herbal beef ribbon noodle soup and pork&chive dumplings. The food from here is pretty comparable to Xian's. Bf really enjoyed the dumplings. We reheated these the next night, which to my surprise, tasted better as leftovers. This place is truly fabulous in every way. The food always turns out excellent, the service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. This is my favorite takeout spot in all of Manhattan! First of all, I would highly recommend the ding ding noodles with beef. This is my FAVORITE dish on the menu. I usually get low spice- definitely be on the cautious side of ordering a higher spice level because as they'll tell you, their spice levels are higher than most. Always order extra noodles!!! For $1.50, it's so worth it and you'll have leftovers. For sides, order their scallion pancakes (my absolute favorite item on their menu) and dumplings (I recommend the pork and chive). The scallion pancakes are magical. I don't know what the sauce is that they serve with them- but it's SO good. I can't recommend this place enough.
