Service - Ordered carry out. Nowhere to park, no hostess up front. Went to the bar and the idea of a non-DoorDash employee pickup seemed like a foreign concept, thus resulting in an additional 5-10 minutes of waiting. Food - I live 1/2 a mile from this restaurant. Food was still warm, but all soggy. Everything from the sampler was cooked in what tasted like month old oil. Nothing "golden," all dark, dark brown. Chicken tacos were so dry the sauce couldn't even help it go down. Tortilla chips were a combination of dark/overcooked and somehow soft and bendy. The pulled pork Mac had no cheese. At least none that could be tasted or visually seen, resulting in even more dry, flavorless food. Only decent food were the wings and Walleye. Walleye was soft and a bit soggy, but at least it had some flavor. Just had to get past the random bite of fish bone. The wings were the only thing actually crispy and the BBQ sauce was ok. This was our first and likely last experience with The Hangar. Maybe it's more about the environment than the food??? read more

Stopped in on a whim Sunday evening and there were several tables and the bar full of people. Pretty chill vibe and a great waitress who was all smiles. We ordered a pizza and wings and a couple beers. We were pleased with the flash fried wings that has a special sauce. Beer selection was great and ice cold when served. 1st time here. Lots of TV to watch the game. My husband and I decided to stop here for lunch and sat at the bar. We were greeted right away and asked what we would like to drink. Unfortunately most of their draft beers were out or the lines weren't working. I decided to try a Bloody Mary. It was just okay. No spice and not much flavor. We decided to try their cheese fries as an appetizer. Which were very good. We both got their chicken strips that our bartender recommended. They were heavily breaded but the chicken was moist. My boyfriend and I were introduced to this place by a local and have been there twice now. It's a fun neighborhood bar inside an airplane hangar-themed building. The menu is huge, with pizza, tacos, wings, burgers, sandwiches and wraps. They also have dessert, a full bar and free popcorn! We stopped in on a busy Thursday evening and our server took our drink orders right away. We ordered some mixed grill wings to share - these are awesome and a must-try! They're flash fried and then charcoal grilled which gives them an amazing flavor. Super delicious! I got the Italian sub sandwich which was like Jimmy John's on steroids - really good soft bread piled with Italian meat and crisp lettuce. I was surprised at how big the sandwich was for the price (around $9 including a side of fries). My boyfriend got the buffalo chicken wrap which was really good too. To be honest, I was not expecting too much when we first visited, but I have been pleasantly surprised with the quick and attentive service, quality of food for the price and fun atmosphere! I met a friend here for lunch. There was plenty of seating to choose from, bar area separated from other seating by a wall. There were a ton of televisions playing numerous different sports! Both menu and beer list were extensive! Our server was attentive and checked on us often. Some typical bar fare on the menu, but also items you might not expect! My friend had a salad, and it came in a huge bowl made from pita bread! Worth noting, my friend is allergic to onions, and the server noticed the kitchen put onions on the salad; she had them totally remake the salad. Came last weekend to pick up a take-out order. My wife and have loved the food here for a long time, but we won't be back. When I arrived, there was a guy in a blue hoodie sitting at the bar, with his feet up on the bar, playing on his phone. Additionally, he had two Bud Light bottles in front of him. If this is the image they put forth in this time, there are plenty of other places struggling to get by. Hell, the Main St. Pub is right across the street. If they're going to allow staff to drink in front of customers while likely working, why should they get support? read more

I've just about given up on the menu, and we all know some of the servers are good and many of them are pretty ambivalent, but my review is regarding their specials. I ordered what I thought was their beer of the month, as indicated by not only a sign at the bar, but also a sign that's staring you in the face the moment you walk in. When I got my bill, the price of the beer was 33% higher than it was supposed to be. I mentioned that to the bartender and she said that it wasn't the beer of the month any more. I pointed out how there were two signs contradicting her and she said "oh ok, we'll take those down", as she proceeded to charge me the standard price. I don't really see a point to going there anymore, minus a $6.00 pitcher special. Granted, it was November 7th, so I guess that's still technically, "the beginning of the month", but that's just poor leadership. read more

Very good drink specials and wings special on Sunday just cannot be beat. We always know what to expect when we come here (wings and drinks) and are never disappointed. Husband is a fan of their blue cheese dressing and orders a side salad most visits. I am a fan of "interesting salads" (different combos of ingredients for "meat-relief" and carb-overkill). All their salads come in a huge bread bowl. I have ordered different salads hoping to find "the one". I guess I will stick with what they're good at, which is drinks and wings. read more

My first time here after a round of golf with friends. It was packed on a Tuesday night. We stayed for trivia which ended up being a blast. That is really where the good stuff stops. Our server rarely came to our table or checked on us if we needed anything. The food was not good. We ordered mozzarella wedges & potato slabs. The mozzarella wedges were fried so much the cheese was gone from the inside. The potato slabs were OK, nothing great. For dinner we had the buffalo chicken wrap & the Awesome mixed grill wings with waffle fries. The buffalo chicken warp was a major disappointment, the flavor of the blue cheese seemed off with the wing sauce they used. They didn't seem to go together like they normally do. I didn't finish the first half or touch the second half. It was served with homemade chips, which were OK. Many of them were not crispy. The awesome wings had a good review from my husband but the waffle fries were fried so much they were almost too hard to bite threw. Sounds like they had a rough night with the fryer. I like this place! I have been here a few times. It was in a very convenient location when my friends lived on Howard. This place is kind of a laid back sports bar where you can go to watch the game. I've never wrote a review so I apologize in advance if this isn't the correct way to do this but felt I had to throw one out for this place. Walked in, someone finally acknowledged me about 5 minutes later. It was "seat yourself" at that point so I ventured in to find a seat. There are about 20 booths in the entire place, plus the seats at the bar. I had to wait 23 minutes for a booth to open up. Jumped on it. About 5 minutes later the waitress asked what I wanted to drink. Water didn't apparently excite her but she brought it. My dinner date arrived and we decided to get an appetizer with our meal. Good thing. The appetizer took 15 minutes and dinner was another 45 MINUTES! We ordered burgers and fries. I could've cooked it at home in less time than that. Not going to be a return customer.
