Had dinner with my teenage son and hubby. When we arrived it wasn't packed and service was good. As the place started to fill up our waitress become less visible. When the bill arrived we were charged for 5 drinks each which I had 3 beers and my husband and 3 vodka and lemonades. Our dinner took almost 2 hours. When I brought it to her attention she said I don't know how that happened. I charged you for what you ordered. Excuse me but I know how many drinks I had and I have never had 5 drinks with dinner ever. She then fixed bill. I would have been happy to have the manger come over. Came here with my mom and bf for my birthday dinner. Service was pretty slow for a Wednesday. And it wasn't very crowded. My mom ordered a Pepsi and got a diet when she complained about it the waitress claimed it wasn't. But didn't offer her a new one. My bf also ordered a water and got a Pepsi. Short poor on the beers. My husband asked about it and they said 2 finger rule for foam. Most places around Kalamazoo do not do that, except for the millennium group restaurants. Hate those too. While service was good to get us our drinks and refills, the food took forever - a burger and a wrap. Only been here once but that's all it takes to make an impression. Everyone I've talked to had said it was "great" and "tasty" that WAS NOT the case this evening when we went to get some burgers. We sat down around 6 on a Monday. Waited about 20 minutes to be greeted. After that it was about another 10 to get drinks and the popcorn they hand out. Waitress came back over and took our order. She was talking very fast like she had other things to do. She was looking around and we didn't really feel like she was focusing on our table. We were informed that it was 50 cent wing night so we thought why not get some. After an HOUR went by, our food finally arrived. Throughout the hour, our waters ran dry, our popcorn empty and we weren't told our food was on the way. Once on the table, the wings were warm. Not hot. The burgers were crispy and dry. (We asked for medium rare). We sent the burgers back because after an hour, you would think they'd be perfect if they were spending that much time on them. 20 minutes went by and we still didn't get our new burgers. Asked to speak with a manager. He comped them off for us but we still had to pay for our wings that took an hour. after we got the new burgers they were also WELL DONE and not medium rare like we had asked. We were going to be late to our movie if we had waited for them to fix it again so we paid for our wings and left. Tried the coconut shrimp, not bad for seafood in a bar and the dip trio that was pretty good. What made this place great was the affordable drinks, appetizer deals and extremely attentive staff! We didn't have a seat to start, but they said they would keep an eye out for us and in the mean time they took our drink order. Most of the time it is clean atmosphere. I will say that their special BOGO appetizers etc are good deals..however their prices are a little over priced for what you get. My husband and I ordered a $11 pizza and it was seriously the smallest pizza I have ever ordered for $11! My husband and I left hungry and $40 in the hole. We have 4 beers and this small pizza and clearly over paid for what we got. I will say the TVs are great...and love watching sports there but the most recent visit (April 11, 2014) they continued live music while the games were on! I highly recommend NOT having LIVE MUSIC while sports games are on. We left for this very reason along with the SLOOOOW service! read more

The Hangar used to one of our go tos. But in the last couple of years the food has been inconsistent. It always had great wood fired pizzas and fried perch. They're salads are served in a pizza crust bowl. Unfortunately we've been burned one too many times and we won't be back. Fish was bad once. Chicken on salad over cooked. Real onions and not red onions on pizza. We waited more than an hour for our lunch and the waitress said not her fault she's not cooking. read more

Absolute terrible service, the waitress took our order 3 times and forgot all three times. They half cooked our burgers and forgot a pretzel bun on my mother's burger on Mother's Day. By far one of the worst places I've ever ate. The bathroom had paper towel thrown all over the floor and looked disgusting. The table was beyond sticky. This place is always busy and for good reason. They have a cool vibe going on with the old airplane hangar feel. They also have the food to back it up. Their chicken fingers are straight up white meat chicken breast cut in half making them my wife's favorite. I personally like the philly, because it's huge and always oozing with cheese. We stopped by there on a Sunday afternoon. The place was not very clean and the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was a lot to offer on the menu. The chicken wings were really dry and small. Note: lathering them in sauce does not make them moist. We also ordered the calzone. That was a huge disappointment. It looked and tasted like it was made with pillsbury pizza dough. We're use to getting a good calzone from Vitales and Aubrees. This was just a little bigger than a hot pocket, and not much flavor. Visited the West Main Location in Kalamazoo on 03/10/2018. After placing our order it took over an hour to get our food. I didn't listen to the reviews I read online and I couldn't be happier! I loved this place from the moment we got there. Very cool building with awesome decor. My dad and I were traveling thru the area about 7 years ago and stopped here as I had insisted. The wait staff was great, the food was great. Unfortunately they didn't have any T-shirt's available. I stop here every time I'm in the area (sometimes more than once), and I've even driven out of my way on a few occasions to get my fix while in Michigan. My dad and I really enjoyed the chips and queso, but I believe they have since changed it. The queso blanco was the best we'd ever had. I highly recommend the bbq chicken wood fired pizza. I get it every time. And I finally got my T-shirt! The service was a little slow last time I went but still good. Be aware that it is a bar and grill so can be a bit noisy. My daughter and I went there October 6th for dinner around 515 and waited for about half an hour, not bad, went downhill from there. Got a table and ordered an app and that took 30 minutes and the waitress never came back and said sorry its taking so long but yet was super attentive to the table kiddy corner from us. I ordered a wine which took another 20 minutes to get never a apology for the wait. We ordered dinner a salad and a sandwhich which took another 45 minutes again no return on her part yet was at the table behind us. Brings our food and never gave me any silverware no napkins-NOTHING. So I never got to eat because she never came back but boxed the table up behind us and gave them their bill. I called the hostess over and asked for boxes and our bill and told her to forget the wine I ordered, she tells me she's sorry and we will see what they can take off the bill--- well that ended up being ZERO, they took nothing off. Waitress finally comes back with the bill and sets it down and all she says is sorry and walks off. Worst ever!! Its the first time I have never left a tip and I waitressed for 25 years so I get it. I will never go back here I have given it 3 tries and all three have nothing but disappointing!! These young girls just act like they don't care!!! read more

I came in early this week from out of town to help my niece move into her new college apartment. After looking up places to eat in the area, I saw the Hangar come up on my search engine. I remembered a family friend saying that her daughter worked there and they would come in while she was working to visit. They emphasized that the food was great. While we were there, the restaurant was not extremely busy. However, our service was miserable! My husband went to the bar to turn in his keno ticket, but the bartender with glasses seemed more interested with other customers than us. She was short with us and seemed to have an attitude. We could not tell if our server was the blonde that originally helped us out, or the server with the dark curly hair. We later found it was the brunette, because we had to ask someone to grab our server so we could get more drinks after she had walked by us numerous times to help other tables. When we looked over to the other side of the restaurant, all of the servers seemed more interested in chatting with each other or being on their phones than helping the customers. When our food came out, our pizza was burned on one side. Our server said that there was nothing she could do about it... that's just how their pizzas are.... Despite our clear expression of dissatisfaction, our server offered nothing to convince us to come back again. After speaking to my friend who previously recommended the place that this must have been a joke, she said her daughter had left the job some time ago due to unfair and inconsistent management. Clearly this place is a reflection of it's leadership! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, and advise future customers not to waste their time. read more

Burgers ordered medium each time came to us well done, lipstick on a beer mug, cold fries....gee, at least with the mug they poured my beer into a new one, not cool. My dad has been here multiple times, and says they have the best fish. He loves the perch and cod basket. My wife had the cod based on that recommendation. She loved the fish, though she said the fries were supposed to be seasoned and they came out a little bland and warm like they had been sitting. I had the Philly steak which was good, though not the best Philly I have had. My dad had the perch and he said it was excellent and liked their tarter sauce. We also got their cheese wedges and a Texas egg roll, both I would recommend, they were very good. The prices are very good and the place is packed and pretty loud. That was great for our little kids because they like to be loud and party as hard as a 1 year old and a 3 year old can. Because they get rowdy we sometimes stay away from quiet places. The wait staff was a little slow. They also didn't seem to have an order of tables they wait on which I think affected their ability to thoroughly take care of their tables. I had to wait to get refills and we asked for a couple boxes and I think the girl forgot about it until she came back around about five minutes later. I did like the place but I think they could get better with some wait staff training and organization. read more
