We're visiting family in Oshkosh and this is the best place that we have been to. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Two of us split the Southwestern salad with grilled chicken and we still couldn't finish it all. read more

Ordered a baked potato with my rake of ribs, also had the salad which was all good. Then I asked the waitress for Some sour cream to go with my potato, which she brought . But when I got my bill, my God $2.50! For 2 tablespoons in a little cup, what a rip off. If I would go there again I'd be sure To ask how much is ketchup of o N ordered Fries'. Service here was very slow. It was 35 minutes from the time we sat down until we received our soup and salad. There were two waitresses taking care of seven tables. Ten minutes later we received our main courses. My ribeye was ordered medium with mushrooms in anticipation of being under cooked. When I received it it was less than rare and there were no mushrooms. The redo came back rare which I ate. Overall the quality of food here was very average. Nothing special about the taste of anything. But it was cooked by a burger chef. I can't recommend this place for the food. Though it does look like they have a nice bar. read more

We got here at 4pm on a Friday, and the place was packed! We wanted some happy hour drinks so we went in the bar and found a small pub table. Then I fought my way to the bar to get some drinks. Don't get to excited over happy hour, it's a whopping 50 cents off all drinks! Then we went to get a table, and she asked if we had reservations. Didn't know any restaurants had reservations anymore. So we waited 30 minutes to get a table. We ordered the wings and the seafood galore platter. The menu said for the seafood platter: perch, haddock, shrimp, bread. When we got it, there was no shrimp or bread, but there was cocktail sauce? So the waitress said they don't have shrimp anymore, but they have walleye instead. The walleye and haddock and wings were all delicious, but the perch were very fishy. My overall opinion of this place is that it is popular with the locals, seemed like everyone knew everyone, and make sure you get there before 4 if you want a spot at the bar, and make reservations! read more

The service was fine - just me on a Wednesday night. Busy place in the bar area. They seem to draw a large local crowd. My spinach mushroom and shrimp risotto was delicious. Nice selection of local craft beers. Right next to my hotel so I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did. read more

Don't know why I waited so long to try this place. I only live 1/4 mile away and was feeling like a sandwich. The sandwiches here are fantastic. Lots of filling, the breads are the perfect combo of chewy and firm without being too extreme either way. They have lots of different ways to get a potato but the fries are really good. So are the potatoe pancakes. If you need a good place to come for a sandwich, make it The Hangar. read more

Awesome restaurant and bar in the shadow of Wittman Airport and EAA Museum. We visited during Air Venture, and though it was busy the service and food were excellent. Our first night we had one of the specials, Salmon Oscar, and it was so amazing we came back the next night and ordered it again. Many of the specials and menu items sounded great and it was hard to choose. Besides a comfortable aviation theme environment , there is an outdoor patio. Can't wait to visit again. First time visit on a Thursday night - no wait. The staff was very friendly, and the food was fantastic. We got the fish fry, pretzel fries (which are now pretzel nuggets), and club sandwich. All tasted great. The club sandwich I was fully prepared to be just your generic triple-decker. But omg it was HUGE with SO much meat, sauce, toppings. SO GOOD. And the house chips were delicious! I am not a leftovers person, especially sandwiches - but I took that baby home and finished it the next day. My only "complaints" would be that they didn't have a beer or cocktail list. I asked the waitress and she said "we just have wine and liquor" - even though I could see beer taps from across the room. It also seemed a little chaotic with the waitstaff - no one knew who was bringing our bill, so that took a while. But I'm sure it was either short staffed or new staff, and we weren't in a hurry so no big deal. Will be back! read more

I was greeted by a very personable hostess after I walked out of a restaurant just down the road. They warned patrons that they were shorthanded. The waitress was quick and my order and drinks came out timely and she deserved the 30% tip I gave her. read more

Good. Best perch I have ever had. Server was flexible with substitution on side items. Comped a messed up order. Bad. Served raw chicken on a salad. Then they cooked it further and it appeared to be placed back on the same salad. Long wait to get a table. The two stars is because of the issue with the chicken salad. Stay away, save your money for a real restaurant. Worst service and slow food prep EVER! Visited friends in Oshkosh and went out to eat. The manager is also a server and hostess. Very poorly managed Food took almost an hour for a few sandwiches. Then my friends went back a few weeks.after and nothing had changed. Terrible service, food just average. Staff does not care. Staff lousy Stay away. Will never return. read more

Went here tonight for an early supper. Hostess was friendly and seated us immediately. Our waitress was attentive and our food came out quite quickly. I had a Bloody Mary and perch dinner and everything tasted great. I will definitely come back to try other menu items. read more

The Hangar has the most amazing steak and mashed potatoes. Cooked perfectly every time and I love that they include au jus on the side.

We made a reservation, for 9, at 5:30 PM, thinking that normal dinner time it would be very busy. We ordered a round of drinks, then ordered. Then a second round of drinks, as the food wasn't served yet. Our server told us that they were slammed and our food should be out shortly. Some of us had a third round of drinks. At this point is was over 1 hour since we ordered. One table near us came in, ordered, ate and left, all since we ordered. Another table turned over twice. We asked our server to send the manager over. the server returned and said that the manager was very busy, and would try to come see us. We asked more forcefully to see the manager (but not rudely, as the server was doing a good job , and obviously was caught in the middle). Finally, the manager appeared, and before she even let us have our say, she went through what seemed to be a canned speech, starting with " I'm not making excuses....". then she listed excuse after excuse. Among other things, she blamed a large amount of take outs, on top of the dine-ins. She even said that all the restaurants were having this problem. Wouldn't you think that managers would have solved this problem long before this? She ended up telling us that other tables were getting their food late because she was talking to us - Wow! The good part of the night was that the food was very good, and the server was also. Management of The Hanger needs to figure out not only how to run their restaurant properly, and also how to deal with customers. read more

Our family came In for the first time and very quickly the experience was bad. We were seated and promptly asked for our drink Choices. The hostess said he would return with our drinks. After twenty minutes of waiting and still no drinks, we decided to leave. As we had walked out the person "getting our drinks" just waived as we left. Never going back! read more

The food was amazing. Chicken was juicy, steak sandwich was cook to perfection. They make a wonderful chili and tomato basil bisque.
