Went in for dinner. Was seated right away. We each had different burgers. Both good. Service not great. Our server was pretty inattentive compared to others around us. Burgers were fantastic. Food came out fast. Asked for extra sauce because it was light on sauce. Never came. Had to wait to get drink refills. Different sever brought them. Said he "found them at the bar". The food here was delicious! I loved that you get to "write" on their menu for your food selection. Such a fun way to order and especially helpful when doing the build your own option which I did. We ordered the build your own options and also a few yummy cocktails. I also really enjoyed the ambiance here, the bar is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating and everything is tastefully decorated to theme. Our server was very sweet and attentive, making sure we had what we needed and checking on us. My only issue was that she accidentally spilled a bit of my cocktail on my coat that was on another chair. She was apologetic, brought some extra cocktail napkins over and I initially was able to wipe off where I saw the spill, but upon closer inspection at home did notice a large stain on the interior lining which has required me to get the coat dry cleaned. I know it was simply an accident, but still disappointing that it occurred. We popped in for dinner at Hangry Bison, and they were very busy. We had a reservation time for 6:15, but we were about an hour early, and they were actually able to seat us which we really appreciated! I've been here a handful of times, and each time was awesome. This time my in-laws were in town, and we figured let's go out to downtown Winter Garden and try the Hangry Bison. They really liked the ability to customize their burgers, and the number of options they had. We also had an order of fried green tomatoes to start, and they were absolutely delicious. (We noted they were hosting a Bourbon Tasting event, which looked very fun. Spoke to some of the servers about that and it includes a several course meal paired with some bourbons, varying distilleries depending on the night, and it seemed VERY reasonably priced. Sign up, get the emails and get yourself to one of these!) Back to our dinner... server was very helpful. I had their version of Happy Hour Old Fashioned which was good. (I personally make a pretty great Old Fashioned so I have a high bar on this one). To order, if you want to "build" your own burger, you select various options and mark them on the menus. Met friends here for dinner on Saturday night around 6:30 in the evening. It was already super busy so glad that we went online and made a reservation with them ahead of time. But highly encourage anybody to do the same. We arrived early and checked in and they noted that we had arrived and we received a text message when our table was ready. thankfully we only had to wait a little bit, again, most likely because we had a reservation. We opted for a table inside and were seated at a table that was right on the cusp of being outside, but yet was actually considered indoors. As it was a little windy, the wind did get cold at times because you were right at the doors that were open to outside. The food has always been pretty good when we come here. Our table started with the hangover, which is Chicharrón loaded with bacon and cheese, grape tomatoes, and other goodness. The pork rings are crispy but they can get a little soggy, depending on how much cheese is spread over them. I chose the bourbon chicken salad. It has become one of my go tos here. I love the bourbon vinaigrette, and the salad is always very fresh. My husband chose to make his own burger. He had requested for medium well and his burger definitely came out a little overdone. So note to self stick with the medium as it tends to come out the way that he wants it. I do love the long list of Bourbons that they have. We ended up here on Valentine's night after ass-uming we could find a few seats at a bar somewhere more special night- oriented. We got a table for 2 right away in the dining room and were served by Jeremy. We weren't super hungry ( were hoping for apps at a bar! ) so we shared some truffle fries and a burger with a side salad. While my burger was cooked well and I did enjoy the meal overall, the service on our entry was a little bit of the issue. First time visitor with a friend/couple, we had to ask twice where are server was once seated for about 10-12mins without being greeted yet. I have very mixed feelings about today's visit to the Hangry Bison. Usually, my family love this spot but today they really missed the mark with a few silly mistakes. Upon arriving, we were seated at a table by the bar and as soon as the hostess but the menus on the table, about 12 flies flew from the table. It was a little disgusting to me, but my husband told me not to make a big deal so we sat down. After sitting for about 5 minutes and looking around, I noticed 3 different people around me had flies on their backs. Thats where I drew the line. We asked for a different table and were able to be moved quickly to the other side of the restaurant, furthest from the bar. This area was much better, but we still found ourselves around a few flies and constantly swatting bugs away from our food. We probably would've had less bugs around us outdoors, which is crazy. Under both the old table and the new table, it was a mess. Food and trash from prior guests. The standard of cleanliness this visit was the worst I had ever seen at this location. We then needed a high chair for my 1 year old, but our server let us know that none were available, so he had to sit on my lap. That was a little uncomfortable for both of us while eating. Despite the lack of cleanliness, our server Aliyah was amazing and did everything she could to make sure we had a great time. The food was hot, fresh and delicious - as always. Between Aliyah and the food, that's what saved those review from being a 1. But I would love to see the restaurant put more effort into upholding standards of cleanliness. We came here on a whim while we were on an adventure in Winter Garden. The place looked super busy (it was a weekend around 1pm) but we were seated immediately. They brought me another one, and I tasted it and it was not any better. It wasn't really a burger. It was more like a patty smashed patty. One of the gentleman at our table is in food quality control and after tasting it, he said he would not eat it either. It was not even remotely close to resembling a salmon patty, and it was more like sawdust. The drinks were absolutely perfect delicious. The service was flawless, and the company was the best to be had.
