The clam chowder was incredible, not your standard cream and few clam bits, but rich, layered in flavor, savory, with plenty of clams and whole potato cubes. The tuna was perfect, such stunning notes of flavor. The lobster and beef surf and turf was perfectly prepared, fresh, and just the right portions, and the mushrooms were incredibly rich and savory. Key lime pie was light, bright, and creamy, with a great graham cracker crust that was tender and crispy, not at all dense or overbaked. The ganache chocolate strawberries were a lovely garnish and the complementary chocolate coconut dessert a joy. Our waiter, James, made the evening so lovely and perfect, truly a joy. Please thank him especially for finding out which drink the table behind us had, the aperol spritz was delicious! I cannot recommend enough the treasure chest specialty drink. My partner's spiced tequila drink was also excellent, and the bartenders so funny and kind. Staff does their best to accommodate large groups. Restaurant is clean and beautiful with an amazing views. The inside does not match how great the inside is. I can't give you my thoughts on cost given I was there for a work related event. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Parking within the pier is an option at a cost. Well I know this is off for the Harbor and I'm open to try again hoping for better. I wanted to see the newly reopened Harbor after their remodel. I arrived about 4:15pm today. No one was at the front desk so I waited. No one came so I wandered in & asked someone if they were open. He said it was happy hour until 5 and seated me. Even with my visual impairment I could see that the window sill area appeared sticky with rings imprinted where drinks had been placed. I'm mentioned it to him. He said ok and left. There's some good here. The view of the harbor was spectacular. The layout was elegant and inviting. The "Happy Hour" seating area was informal, inviting and cozy. The dinner hour side was more formal with white table cloths. I sat alone for about 15 minutes before the server approached. He appeared disheveled, hurried and a bit stressed out. He asked me if I wanted a drink, took my order for sparkling water with lime and then went over to one of the 2 other occupied tables. I could hear him apologize that he had taken so long to get back to them. He explained that he was alone, well not alone because other staff was onsite but he had no help. While I was waiting for the water, I observed that the table was actually littered with crumbs, perhaps bread crumbs or cracker crumbs, unsure. Yuck. When he returned with my water, he dropped it and left. I didn't even have time to address the unclean table and window sill. As I waited again, now about 4:45, I finally gave up on ordering food and just wanted to pay the check and leave. The server was again no where to be found. I went to the front desk and asked to pay him. He directed me to pay at the bar. There was no one there. Finally the gentleman behind the front counter looked around and found someone else who could take my payment. I'm guessing he might have been a manager who had just come out from a meeting. He questioned me about what I had ordered. Good news, on his behalf, he asked if it was just sparkling water and no alcohol he said no charge. So, not the best review. I know they & we deserve better. read more

The newly remodeled restaurant is lovely. We ate downstairs. As always the view is wonderful - such a great place to take out of town visitors-for a drink. The waiter was warm and efficient - the food- ordinary and expensive. I had prime rib- $52. , a bit salty, flavorless and chewy. Cooked the way I asked tho, which I appreciated. my friend had the halibut and said it was "good". I loved the beet salad, and the alcoholic beverages were perfect. I was ticked when the bill reflected an unrecognized $12. charge which turned out to be for the bottled water! The bottle was already on the table and poured by a server without a word about the charge. I'll go back I guess, but skip bottled water and maybe just order from the appetizer and salad list. Zander, at just 18 years old, handled half of the entire group with an attentiveness and care that truly impressed me. His focus, professionalism, and calm presence made our whole table feel taken care of. I'll be honest -- the food wasn't the greatest that night, but the service alone is enough to make me come back. What stood out even more was how he and his coworker managed a very complicated bill situation at the end. We had to split the check in what felt like a million different ways, and Zander handled it like a champ. No stress, no attitude, just excellent hospitality. Huge shoutout to Zander and his teammate. This is hands down the worst dining experience we've ever had in Santa Barbara. We come to Santa Barbara several times a year and this is the one restaurant we usually avoid. The food is over-priced and bland. They also act like they're some fancy restaurant - which they absolutely are not! This place sucks. The food wasn't very good the first time we came here. The only real reason to go here is the location on the pier. Our special needs son wanted to "be brave" and sit out on the pier. They were condescending snobs towards us and made it feel almost racial towards my wife and son. There was a large group of older Caucasian men and women who wouldn't stop complaining about having to wait to be seated until they talked to my wife about our concerns. This group of patrons went full Karen on us saying some pretty nasty stuff and the maître d' absolutely heard them and said and did nothing about it. Needless to say, we won't be back! The service was terrible. My daughter and I were visiting for a mother day spa weekend. We made our reservation a week ahead. We got there, we were greeted by a hostess who asked if we were there to work the party. ( we were the only women of color in the restaurant) we said no had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We were ultimately seated in front of the bar which had been open since we walked in. No one took our drink orders for another 20 minutes, the wait staff kept avoiding eye contact. We then could see our drinks waiting on the bar for us for another 10 minutes before they were delivered and our order was taken. We let the server know we now only had 40 minutes to eat, because we had massages booked and had been there near an hour before we were able to order food. The food came out timely, once I said that. I will give then that, but it was terrible. The lobster was so over cooked, it tasted like chewing gum. Literally, so rubbery, it was difficult to eat, we left it. The steak was cooked to order, but completely unseasoned. Overall the only thing We enjoyed about the restaurant was the view. It's a pretty place, in a nice location, with terrible food that is grossly overpriced for the quality of the food, and terrible service. We went 4 beautiful restaurants in the area that weekend and this was the only one, I would never go back to. And our bill was almost close to $300.00 for that experience. DO NOT HAVE A EVENT HERE IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD We had my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner here, were reassured multiple times beforehand that we would have top notch service. Upon arrival, we were sat at the table with no menus, no water, and no utensils. The server finally came around about 45 minutes after being seated (by the way no one walked us to the table they just opened the room for us). The server started to request drink orders, but wasn't familiar with the drink menu (mind you, we didn't have menus so we were all trying to order drinks completely blind here), and he left the room, didn't come back for another 15 minutes or so. By that time we now had menus (yay). Half the drinks never showed up, we had to ask numerous times for them, some guests ordered lemonade, we found out from one of the owners that they "made it wrong" which is why it tasted like extremely sour lemon juice. Now - we are waiting for server to come back to take our order.... Amidst refilling our own water glasses, refilling our glasses of wine that they were supplying due to the "inconvenience"....Two hours later, he finally comes, takes 4 people's orders, disappears. Comes back about 15 minutes later, finishes but then looses the first 4 orders, causing someone else to have to come back and try to figure out what was ordered. FINALLY about 9pm our food starts to arrive (I had already gone to the manager at this time being that we had been there already 3 hours). Half our food order was missing, sides not there, food not cooked to order, etc. All in all, beautiful view but go somewhere else. So many choice restaurants in Santa Barbara with gorgeous views where you can get good service and food that you ordered. Very disappointing experience overall, on such a special night. read more
