Love this tea shop! What a gem in Thousand Oaks! It's a magical healing den with such an excellent selection of teas and herbs, plus delicious custom herbal tea lattes. After gawking over all of their teas -- hello all you yummy oolongs and smoky lapsang souchong teas-- I spoke with Moe about creating a few custom blends. He's so helpful and knowledgeable. I got a custom blend for balancing my own health concerns: beet root, maca, hawthorn berries, hibiscus flower. I also got another custom blend for my teenage daughter to aid in sleeping better: "Valerian Dreams" blend, kava kava, ginseng, and a blend called "Suburban Mom." This place reminds me of a Chinatown apothecary meets The Bodhi Tree bookshop meets the herbology store at Hogwarts in Harry Potter. I love it! read more

If I could give THE HEALING TREE 20 stars, I would! Recently, I lived in Victoria BC Canada which is suffer from SINUS problems. It began in April 2018, where I had dental work done in Murrieta CA which cause mucus coming from my gums. I tried to explain this to the doctors, but no one listen and prescribed me medications. Since moving to Canada, my sinuses got worse due to the damp weather which affected my sleep as I would be coughing up mucus throughout the night. Again, I went to the Canadian doctors, who prescribed me an inhaler with steroids. Never got better but made me feel worse. Presently, I am back in Thousand Oaks which I went to visit Mo at the healing tree. I went through a foot detox for 1 hour to watch awful stuff come out from my feet. Today, I went to visit Mo for a cupping session. He listened to me. Mo scraped my neck and upper back to release the toxins. This was painful. Mo then asked me "Tell me where it hurts the most". I told him my middle back. He then said "This has to do with lungs. Did you have any grief lately". Wow, I said "Yes, I loss my mum in 2015, my brother in 2016 and my sister in 2021". So, he continued scraping, but as he kept scraping got less and less. He took a batan to hit my back then something to bring up some blood. Mo then did cupping including my forward and cheeks to draw out the toxins. He also prescribe from herbal medicine which has tremendously help me 100%. The woman behind the counter offered samples of a variety of teas, candied ginger, and li hing mui- all very delicious! I decided on a tea that aided with digestion, lowers cholesterol, and decreases inflammation. It's listed in their handy dandy tea bar book & contains turmeric. I was kinda surprised at how far $40 does not go for tea. Just a few ounces of each and I spent my whole deal. DEFINITELY a more authentic tea experience than Teavana (I used to love that place until it became all corporate) and much more relaxing. Stopped by here after the gym while killing time waiting for friends. I've had issues with GERD the last two years so wanted something like coffee that wasn't. He made me a great coffee like non coffee blend latte with cbd butter and honey and coconut oil. It was crazy good but 15 bucks. But had cbd. I was so chilled after it was great. Think about it like a cocktail for your soul. Then I asked for some tea for my gerd and I dunno if it was the tea or his dietary advice but I started taking both and my GERD became WAAAAY better. None of my doctors even gave the right dietary advice. They had not to eat high fats and coffee but the way dude ( sorry forget his name) explained it made so much more sense and was counter to want the doctors said. He said drink milk. Eat red meat, and don't eat gluten or beans or legumes cause they contained chemicals or something it made sense the way he said it. Anyway my symptoms are about 1/3 of what they were. And I quit taking the acid reducing medicine the doctors gave me. It's not even an acidity's thing. It's a what I'm eating thing. Which is great cause I love spicy. But I can't eat peanuts or gluten. It's so good just knowing what is up. 5 doctors didn't help me as much as a trip to this tea joint did. Oh the tea for my GERD isn't very tasty. But it's more medicine. So I put it in a tea stealer and drop that in my other herbal tea blends. So it adds the heal to the flavor. They also have about anything you need. My path to getting emotionally healthier led me to the most amazing little spot today. I am on the quest to beating my panic attacks naturally and without the use of medications. After spending time with me going over each of the herbs he was going to be giving me he made me the most delicious tea I have ever tasted. I suffer from chronic UTI, kidney infections and reoccurring stones. Nothing seemed to work and I was getting tired of surgeries and antibiotics. I've never been to any place quite like this one. I LOVE tea, so when I found this place I was pretty enthusiastic. I came to buy loose leaf, and they have just about any type of tea you can imagine, and you are free to sniff them all. I often suffer from the dreaded nasal fatigue when I come here, because I want to smell them all! Additionally, they always have a tea of the day that is already brewed, and which you can try. How else would they get people to buy shitake mushroom tea? I have been here twice, and have purchased cinnamon black tea, vanilla rooibos, jasmine green tea, and some matcha green tea powder. Because I am weak, I also bought a masala chai and a green earl grey chocolate bar. In addition to teas, they have a lot of tea-ish paraphernalia which is super awesome. They also sell various spices and traditional/medicinal/homeopathic herbs and things that you can buy per ounce. My husband purchased some ginseng root and some weird Chinese herbal concoction to help with altitude (in anticipation for our failing to summit Mt. Whitney). The guy that works here is super helpful and knows his stuff. We talked to him for a while and he mentioned how he has studied Chinese medicine and such. He literally seems to know everything. Did you know it against the law to cure Americans with plants? There is no money in the cure, just the chemo and pills and the return. Look how much they lost on Polio! This place uses the teas which appear to work and a treatment which did work for me. My hip was so bad I could not go with my son on a walk. I thought I was going to need a hip transplant. The weird thing of tapping out the gook and memories and whatever from the cells around the affected area. After 2 sessions in 2 weeks, that fixed my hip to where I can run and it's A-OK. Now, it does not matter if it was the tapping (which I must warn you - does hurt a bit) or that I just believed it would work is a moot point, my hip is happening. I am going back to fix a few other parts which, after the car wreck and emotional traumas have damaged parts of me. I feel like it is a tune-up. read more

They have an incredible selection of teas, a tea bar, and a little cupboard of delicious snacks (preserved meats, chocolate covered nuts, dried fruit, etc.). I had an awful cold and they mixed me up a blend that helped my cough and congestion tremendously. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. Everything they make at the tea bar looks delicious, but I can't get past the turmeric latte. So flavorful and delicious! Prices are steeeep, but you get what you pay for, I suppose.
