The location, parking, and atmosphere here is great. I have yet to check out the rooftop at The Henry, but the main dining hall is always cozy. I tried the Korean steak with fried rice during my visit yesterday and enjoyed it. The Caesar salad comes with large, cheesy croutons and a tangy dressing. Parmesan truffle fries are a nice touch, they come in a huge bowl. The breakfast + coffee menu here is pretty extensive. I was able to order an iced matcha latte for a little pick me up. read more

Several people in our party received incorrect orders. One member was served bacon despite specifically not eating pork, which made her sick. Another requested that asparagus be left out of her bowl, but it was included anyway. A third person's chicken was visibly undercooked. Had to come back for Valentine's Day a second year in a row and once again The Henry delivered! There was not a single empty seat in the restaurant, yet service was smooth as can be and the hosts were quick to manage the constant guest arrival and departure. They even had a few cute Valentine's photo ops and a fresh rose to take home at the end of the meal. Our server was knowledgable and our courses flowed out naturally, never feeling rushed yet never waiting for more than a few minutes. I commend the management for staffing appropriately for the busy night and encourage them to offer a second evening the night before or after next year since reservations were so in demand and the menu and wine pairings were wonderful! read more

Walked into an open area with a big beautiful wooden bar and multiple tables and booths, with nice and comfortable seating. Started with the Expresso Martini, beautiful snowflake design and tasted perfect with equal parts liquor/coffee, yum! The Flower Child Scramble amazing, scrambled soft, great seasoning with meat/veggies and my friend enjoyed the Omelette.. We had tabbed out, but decided to visit a lil longer and ordered the cappuccino which was also beautifully designed and tasted delicious. We ordered a few items and were not blown away. It was just there for us to eat while we conversed and the food did not come up in conversation. My tortilla soup had a giant glob of cheese that felt unnecessary (broth was good), The eggs Benedict was ok, but too much bread for the topping. The avocado toast felt heavy and again, too much bread in proportion to avocado. The tuna sushi was delicious (5/5). Fries are good (did not come out hot). This place was definitely worth the hype! The restaurant was so cute and photo worthy, it definitely had an amazing vibe inside! Our waiter was so funny and personable we truly made the experience even better! Now on to the food, we ordered the crispy rice and pot stickers for an appetizer, both were a hit! The spicy tuna and crispy rice was my favorite thing I ate the entire meal! The other couple at our table got the brussel sprouts and crab cake. The crab cake was really fresh! The brussel sporuts were okay, they had a sauce on them that I personally could have done without. I got the braised short rib dinner and my husband got the skirt steak fried rice. Both were excellent options! I like the fried rice a little more, but would genuinely order them both again. Lastly, the cocktails were really good! I got the smoked pineapple marg and it was a 10/10! The espresso martini did leave a lot to be desired though, I could have done without that, and I love an espresso martini. Our dinner for 4 adults and one to go meal ended up being around $500, and collectively probably had 9 drinks so a lot of that tab was alcohol! 3 is a combination of 5 for taste (everything delicious) and a 2 for quantity is of scallops in that dish. I expected 5-7 half-dollar size scallops like, you know, at other restaurants. Instead these were tiny and the straight sides made me think larger ones were cut up. I feel like if i pieced them together i would have had 2 half-dollar sized scallops. Also, think there was maybe one skinny asparagus stalk in there. The good news is it was delicious and I didn't leave stuffed. It's a beautiful restaurant and our server was great. The atmosphere was very relaxed but also nice-comfortable not casual. Staff were attentive but not pushy. In my group, we had the short rib, the Korean skirt steak, the harvest bowl, and the seasonal sangria. Everyone loved everything. We dined at The Henry after calling ahead and were pleasantly surprised to get seating within about 10 minutes. Valet parking was easy, and we were seated shortly after our table was cleaned. We sat in a booth, which was comfortable, but the layout offers very little separation between parties--just a small iron rod between booths. Unfortunately, our neighboring booth was a loud group of six celebrating a birthday, and it made it difficult for our party of four to hear one another throughout the meal. Service got off to a slightly awkward start when our server was switched right after water was delivered due to a mix-up. From there, service remained on the slower side during the meal. The food itself was a mix of highlights and a few letdowns. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding and easily the star of the table. I ordered the salmon and really enjoyed the sweet potatoes that accompanied it, though the quinoa wasn't my favorite. My husband liked the Korean beef, and my son was happy with his hamburger. One disappointment was learning that the chicken sandwich is only available Monday-Friday on the dinner menu. Since we visited on the weekend, we were told they were serving brunch only, which limited options more than expected. Overall, The Henry has some great flavors and a lively atmosphere, but noise levels, slower service, and menu limitations on weekends made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped. read more

Visited the Henry during their pop up holiday event and it was really neat! The Christmas decorations are beautiful and it really puts on that festive atmosphere. It sure does make you feel like you're in a winter village and not downtown Dallas. The service was amazing and our waitress was great at offering suggestions and being attentive to our table. The food was good, but a bit overpriced for my taste. The food is like tapas style so they're like shareable sides but priced like an entree. It can add up quickly, however it is delicious. I've been to the regular restaurant before and thought the price point for those entrees were on target so not sure if these are special prices for the holiday pop up. Both bartenders were terrific and let me sample a few things before I made my decision. I ordered the Ahi tuna entrée, which came with lemongrass rice and vegetables. On my five day business trip, this was the best thing I ate. Not only was it quite flavorful, but sometimes it's hard to eat healthy on a trip and this was all very fresh and light, yet filling. Started the same way we have in the past, Short Rib Postickers, an Ol Fashioned for him, and an Espresso Martini for me. My hubby usually goes with the either the Braised Short Rib or the Korean Prime Skirt Steak, and I usually choose a fish entree, but tonight I chose the Harvest Bowl with egg - it was delicious!! I loved the food at The Henry. I came here twice during my visit to Dallas. The Hot Honey Crispy Chicken Sandwich was soooooo amazing. I wish I could go back just for that sandwich. The chicken was so crispy and melt in your mouth. The sauce was deliciously honey sweet with an amazing kick. It came with fries and ate every bite. The second time I went I had their Rotisserie Chicken with broccolini, heirloom carrot and chimichurri sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked and moist. The vegetables were well prepared. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. The servers were confused because I think this location is understaffed. The servers were nice and friendly but they kept forgetting things. One of my friends never got his latte and by the time we caught the server to asked for it, everyone else had finished their brunch drinks. The second incident all the food came out except one friend (out of 6 people), so everyone was almost done eating before her food arrived. My friends and I went to The Henry for a Christmas dinner. We had made our reservation one to two months in advance and were seated at the cutest table by the fireplace. The ambiance was beautiful--definitely a 5-star experience. I'd absolutely recommend dressing up for the occasion. The food was delicious, especially the wrapped shrimp appetizer. We had planned to do a gift exchange, but since we were seated by the fireplace (which was never turned on) rather than at a traditional table, our plans had to change. Unfortunately, because of that, we didn't make it past the appetizers. Maybe if you are seated on the first floor you'll be guaranteed a table and can enjoy the food.
