We had a work dinner here a couple weeks ago, and it was just an meh experience, at best. The place is a whole vibe, and upstairs is a tiki themed bar which is cool. We were sat in the private room which nicely accommodated 50+ people so that was great, but it had no vibe or feel compared to the rest of the place. The drinks are mostly tiki themed. I ordered an espresso martini which was one of the worst I've ever had (conflicting flavors that didn't belong in it) so I got a mojito instead. I suppose tropical drinks are the way to go here since it's tiki themed after all! We had a pre fixe menu and I'm not sure who chose the different items but none of them went together (??). Oh, and the food is just terrible. The appetizers we had were potstickers, beer cheese pretzels & a fig/brie toast. I usually love potstickers but these were sitting in a watery soy/ginger sauce that took all crisp out of them. The fig/brie toast was soggy too, but the beer cheese & pretzels were good. Just all an odd combo for apps! I asked for no goat cheese on my salad bc I have a strong disdain for it, and the server said unless it's an allergy, they couldn't accommodate... seriously?! Ok. For the entree, I chose the beef filet & it was okay, just lacked flavor. And I don't remember what we had for dessert bc I think I gave up by that point. All in all, the only good thing The Henry had going for it was a vibey space & good tropical drinks... and I certainly can't say I'll be back. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. The design of this restaurant is immaculate. The restaurant was busy at the time so I understood that it took the waitress a while to get to us and to get our food as we sat at the bar. I got the Caesar salad and the croutons and chicken had a pungent burnt taste to them so it was to enjoy the salad. The Brussels sprouts were good though. The mocktail was good as well. Parking is validated but please note it is up to 2 hours for free. read more

We went as two couples for a holiday celebration. We chose the rooftop for the festive atmosphere and decorations. The menu is limited, but the full menu is available in the main restaurant. We tried the crab cake (delicious), short ribs (fantastic), burger (good), and the Spicy Tuna (very good). It was very crowded, so the service was a little slow but not horrible. The server was covering quite a few tables with mostly four or more people, so I think she did well (maintained a cheerful attitude). We had a couple of old-fashioned cocktails, a couple of martinis, and a couple of shots. We spent about $200 per couple, including the tip. We would go back to the rooftop for a multi-couple date, but we also want to experience the full menu at the main restaurant. read more

My friend randomly found this place and thank god he did! I am picky and when I looked up the menu and saw they had a pretzel I was sold. What a great place! I was with a group of 10 people and we had a great time. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the filet and it was perfect. Joseph took care of our table and was just excellent. Loved the soft lighting of the space and seating arrangements. Enough room to not feel crowded, overall good ambiance. The wait staff were welcoming and accommodating from the beginning to the end. The meal itself was delicious and would love to have tried more things. Brussels sprouts {4.5/5}: Crunchy, salty, and good overall umami taste. A little too salty, but ate this with the rigatoni to balance it out. Rigatoni alla Vodka with burrata (+ chicken add on) {4.5/5}: Rich vodka sauce that had a touch of heat pairing well with the soothing burrata. We actually attended the St. Henry's Winter Wonderland, rooftop lounge area. The roof top was beautifully lit up and very sparkly. They had the plastic coverings down which was fine since it was a tad chilly this night but they didn't have our fireplace lit until we were getting ready to leave. The service was okay, our server was a little all over but she apologized for being pulled in many directions. We didn't actually stay too long because the drink selections weren't to our taste and they couldn't make changes because they were made in batches (which is smart for Special menu drinks) but you can't top off with something extra? That's weird to me. There's no food menu on the roof top, only little plates to share; another reason why we left. To be real honest, if you come here-- make reservations to dine on the first floor, the roof top is a bit over-hyped. The food and experience is great otherwise read more

My girlfriends and I had an amazing time at The Henry. We arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday night with no reservation, the hostess let us know there'd be about an hour wait for the upstairs bar area and it's an in-person line. She was accurate with the timing and we were promptly sat. The upstairs was beautifully decorated and the vibes were right with a great DJ! We ordered mostly apps, one plate (the braided short rib with mashed potatoes) and shared amongst the 3 of us - everything was delicious! Especially the short rib potstickers, they truly melt in your mouth and we'd go back just for those! The espresso martini tree was a cute touch, they brought it out with sparklers and the drinks were delicious. This place is perfect for a romantic date night or a girls night out! read more

WOW! I have only been here one other time and it was for a PACKED meetup event that was more of a "meat up". Came by myself today and arrived about 15 minutes before HH started @ 4p. The hostess was kind enough to let me sit at the downstairs bar and then promptly let me know when the rooftop bar opened (where HH is offered). First - gorgeous space at the actual bar...outside and inside. Would be great for any type of party. Second - the service was SPOT ON! The two young ladies behind the bar were all over it, super friendly, helpful with recommendations and efficient. True mixologists and customer ambassadors! I started with a dirty martini and 3 oysters (oh...the cilantro sauce - TDF!). I then tried the melt-in-your-mouth spicy tuna & crispy rice...OMG! Finally, for fun I ordered the pretzel bites with house made provolone fondue. I could only eat one, but took the rest home for later. All of the food was $12 each (HH $). Oh...forgot that I ordered a 2nd cocktail...the Thai grapefruit smash - refreshing AND yummy. All cocktails are $10 @ HH. Note - see my photos for more in-depth descriptions of everything. The food is truly unique and so flavorful! I highly recommend the short rib potstickers to start, and the Korean prime skirt steak was phenomenal!! Cocktail menu seems really carefully crafted, featured a good mix. A great spot for a quick drink, a date night, a corporate event, big or small they can accommodate all ranges, a really cool space. We went Monday night for dinner early at 5:30, upon being seated on the outside patio, we waited more than 20 minutes to be greeted by a server. Only after getting up and asking for someone to connect with our table did we get a server. Once we got a server, we were optimistic about the rest of the meal. We couldn't be more wrong. We immediately ordered apps and cocktails and a bottle of wine. 25+ minutes later, the apps arrived and they arrived before the cocktails and wine arrived. The bottle of wine took 45 minutes to arrive! The service was slow and awful, even when we addressed it with the server. When the meal finally arrived, it was excellent, but we won't be going back knowing service is that poor. read more

Went for a friends birthday after Christmas and they still had their holiday decor up and was super beautiful. I've heard not great things about the service however my party had no issue. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Didn't get any appetizers however I ordered the Korean bbq steak fried rice and I thought it was 10/10. It was cooked perfectly I liked the sauce. The fried rice was standard but good. A few friends of mine ordered the short rib which our server said was the most popular dish. However we all agreed that there was nothing special about it. We made a reservation for a Saturday brunch and it was definitely a lively brunch spot. Gave off a welcoming atmosphere with both upstairs and downstairs seating, plus a barista and cocktail bar. I started with an expresso martini, and my friends and I shared the potstickers appetizer. While I personally didn't enjoy the potstickers as much, my friends seemed to like them. I will say my harvest bowl was very delicious, the ingredients were fresh and the combination of grains, veggies, almond pesto, and cashew harissa created a wonderfully flavorful dish. Well done. Service was attentive and they made sure to come around to check on us a few times. Parking can be validated for up to 2 hours if you park in the garage, they also have valet at the front. Overall enjoyed my experience here. Good brunch spot and cozy enough for a dinner date as well. read more

Crab cake hit. Drinks hit. Desserts were gifted. This is not just dinner it's a vibe. Came here for my birthday and left a fan for life. The view sets the tone. Every drink was a showstopper, from presentation to flavor. My sisters and I came here yesterday for lunch for my moms birthday. We came at the right time since we beat the lunch rush. Our server was very sweet and helpful. My sisters got several appetizers that were tasty. I had been curious of the brussel sprouts due to the reviews. It does have a little bit of a charred taste but the flavor was good. Maybe just needs a little less seasoning. The pretzels with fondue were really fresh and yummy which my sister informed this spot is known for. I got the harvest bowl which was honestly perfect, all the combinations of flavor were so good together. I got to try my sisters tuna salad and the tuna was really refreshing. As was my sisters sprouts and squash salad. I didn't get to try my sisters Korean skirt steak but she said it was good besides it being a little spicier than she expected. My mom also loved her salmon. We got the lemon olive oil cake and we all really enjoyed it. It came with a cream cheese icing on the side, strawberry in a sauce and some lemon flavor. The henry has always been consistent from the location to Scottsdale to here in Dallas. The interior is reminiscent of a Ralph Lauren magazine. We came here from brunch and was quickly seated without a reservation. The valet was $8 for the first three hours. The overall quality of the food was amazing. It was fresh, filling, flavorfull and felt high quality without breaking the bank. read more

For an appetizer, the short rib potstickers are delectable. For mains, the burger and rotisserie chicken are great! If you’ve got a vegetarian in the group, the harvest bowl is fantastic.

There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. The last time I went, it was during happy hour (4-6 pm, weekdays), when HH drinks are $9 each. I ordered the mushroom toast and my fave food option which is the Cacio e Pepe. They use flat long pasta in their Cacio e Pepe that is so delicious, flavorful, and hearty and top the dish off with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese. I also appreciate how late their kitchen is open in the evenings (10-11 pm) so you can stop by for a late night bite.

This ahi tuna crudo didn't have the best taste and while I won't say it wasn't fresh, I won't say it was either. I ordered a steak and it was ok but in a city where we can get great steak, this was not in the top 30. They at least validated valet parking.

The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

Their menu had some really interesting things on it that i'll try if i'm ever back in the neighborhood. Also, they gave me a complimentary bowl of fruit as a birthday treat, which I appreciated.

I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I'm not keen on mixing my dining / entertainment with religio-socialist political and/cultural action committees nor making my support of one a prerequisite for dining. I totally understand why some people would prefer this and that's certainly their right but I don't think that this has a place in dining establishments. When you walk in the door here, they expect each person to "donate" (by command) five dollars to the ahem...Salvation Army. And you must know why because they certainly do, if one has watched or read the news lately. The Salvation Army is apparently quite upset with those poor souls who are plagued with the inherently evil skin lacking in the right shade. They want "white people" to be admonished for their toxic whiteness ("lament, repent and apologize"--their words) and historical terror (the USA is racist, according to them). Yep. I wonder how many individuals of Jewish background have white skin and might want to dine here. Should they apologize too? Is white skin a marker of morality or immorality? What does this have to do with eating in a restaurant and why do I need to participate? Does this bizarre woketopian nonsense have any place in a restaurant? I need to be commanded to donate to a bunch of literal racists? Ridiculous. And insulting. You don't need to be conservative or a Trump supporter to find this repellant. It is repellant. All racism is repellant in whatever direction it's aimed at. read more

A great meal from start to finish at The Henry. When the pretzel and provolone fondue arrived, its presentation was intriguing--almost mysterious. The pretzel balls were so polished they hardly looked real, but cutting into them revealed a warm, fresh interior. Once dipped into the provolone fondue, all bets were off. Pure magic. The seared ahi tuna was clean and fresh, perfectly seared on the outside while staying tender and rare inside. At first glance, the vegetables seemed there for presentation alone, but one bite proved otherwise--their flavor was so well developed they could have been a meal in themselves. The braised short ribs delivered on every level. The crisp exterior blended beautifully with the tender interior, and while the smashed potatoes anchored the dish, the crumbled blue cheese over the top set it on fire. We initially declined dessert, but when Zach mentioned the in-house baked croissant bread pudding, we almost fell out of our chairs. The croissant bread pudding topped with salted caramel ice cream was the most insane dessert combination I've ever had. Zach was top-notch--engaged, attentive, present when needed, and gone when we didn't need him. His recommendations were spot-on, and it was hard to believe he's only been there six months. Do yourself a favor and request Zach when you visit The Henry in Dallas. read more

Not Worth the Expense or Experience I've been to this restaurant multiple times, usually dining upstairs, and never had any major concerns--until this visit. Upon exploring more of the space, I noticed disturbing elements in the decor that I hadn't seen before. The theme is unsettling, and it detracts from the overall dining experience. Service was just okay. Given the price point, I expected more attentiveness from the staff. Orders weren't handled as precisely as they should have been, and there was little effort to ensure a top-tier customer experience. The food was also just okay--nothing particularly memorable or worth returning for. On the positive side, management is accommodating, which is appreciated. However, even their efforts aren't enough to make up for the restaurant's shortcomings. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place. For the cost, there are far better dining options that offer superior food, service, and ambiance. read more

I was blown away by my dinner at The Henry! Everything from the decor to the food to the service was perfect. I arrived pretty early (around 5:45pm) on a Tuesday night and the place was already packed, so clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating along with a more casual coffee shop on the right side of the restaurant. I took advantage of the beautiful weather and sat outside. I started with an order of the roasted brussel sprouts, which were delicious and not too salty as they often are at restaurants. I ordered the harvest bowl ($17) as my main meal, and all of the flavors were perfect! You can get a protein like chicken or shrimp on top, but I chose to just have the veggies. I couldn't resist the bread pudding for dessert, which was the right decision. It comes in it's own dish and was SO GOOD. read more

The place was well decorated and the service was great! However I got the chicken sandwich and was it worth $16... absolutely not. Then they asked what kind of fries I wanted , when I was offered truffle and they said how yummy they were I got them. I wasn't even informed they were an upcharge so my $16 sandwich was $18 ... $20 with tax. So let's talk drinks. They were tasty but weak. If I'm spending $14 on a drink I expect more because for that price I mine as well buy a handle of liquor so I get a more out of it. I've paid $15 for drinks at places but at least the drinks are strong. I went upstairs and had 3 drinks and they were all good but very weak. I heard a lot of wonderful things about this place. I do want to try the brunch because it looks good. I just expect to get what I pay for. However the decor and service was A+ read more

I had a great experience at The Henry! The food was absolutely delicious, though on the pricier side. I ordered the French toast, which was a bit crispier than I prefer, but the cream cheese topping balanced it out beautifully. I also had an espresso martini, which was slightly too sweet for my taste, but still very enjoyable. My boyfriend ordered the smoked margarita and it was so so so good! I don't know how they get the smoked part in a margarita so well! Delicious! The service was excellent--our waitress was so friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I'd love to come back and try their dinner menu next time. If you're looking for a great meal with a cozy atmosphere, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

Already sent a detailed review Awful will never go back. Post my detailed review. Reservations completely screwed up. Hadn't seated people with times way before us. Girls at door clueless and rude. Place was packed people waiting you couldn't move. Fairly certain the Fire Marshall would not have been happy. Bartender was rude. Cancelled upcoming reservation we also had next week. Manager who followed me out front door was also rude. My husband knows owner he has sent him an email as well. TOTAL CLUSTER!!! And I had people from out of town. I have posted a very detailed review already. It shows posted. Not sure why it's not here. With so many great restaurants in Dallas, this place you can skip for sure read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Henry's Restaurant today. After being seated and handed menus, we were completely ignored for over 30 minutes. Not a single staff member came to check on us--not even to offer a glass of water. It was outrageous. My husband had to get up and track down another server just to get basic attention. The original server who dropped off the menus never came back. This is beyond poor service--it's a complete failure in hospitality. We will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice before dining here. read more

Discovered this place for lunch downtown and headed straight for the chicken sandwich, only to find it's unavailable on weekends. The weekend menu is mostly breakfast. We started with tasty brussel sprouts. My husband enjoyed his Scottish salmon, minus the quinoa. I ordered the Korean skirt steak, which was more rare than medium well as requested, but it had great flavors along with delicious fried rice. My son had an average burger. Service was slow, and the entrees took longer than expected. Overall, it was a mid experience and a bit pricey. read more

An underwhelming return. It's been a while since Ive dined here and I was looking forward to coming back after a hiatus, unfortunately my visit left me unimpressed. The food quality didn't match my recollection. I opted for the burger, but the thin patty and lukewarm bun were immediate red flags, especially for a $20 dish. My hopes for flavor were dashed with the first bite--it simply fell short. I ended up just picking at the fish and eating the fries. Went to The Henry for the first time for a birthday celebration and had an amazing evening with a close friend. Our server was fantastic super helpful with the menu, and even surprised us with complimentary bubbly for my birthday. The rooftop reservation and table setup were perfect. Dinner was solid, but honestly, the drinks, the ambiance, and the great conversation were the real highlights of the night. We'll definitely be coming back! Just a bit more lighting on the rooftop in the evening would make the experience even better! read more

We loved our meal so much that we ordered two more dishes and shared the salmon entrée, which was fantastic. The Korean skirt steak was also delicious. For appetizers, we had brussels sprouts and a crabcake. The drinks were even better! You have to try the espresso martini and the pineapple margarita. The atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. Make sure to ask for Luis S.; he was incredible! He suggested their best cocktails, appetizers, entrées, and desserts, all of which were divine. A true chef's kiss! read more

Its been a while since the last visit in this restaurant. They have great selection of food. Decent and nice quality of food. Nice location and the restaurant was so cool. The setting was wonderful especially outside. It was a nice experience dining there. The place was so cool. Good place for date. My husband and I really like the food. The drinks has amazing quality. I really enjoyed its food. Spicy tuna and short rib potstickers was delicious. They have plenty of dishes and would try them again next time. read more
