Good spot for a quick lunch. The only thing that's kinda annoying is having to order through a kiosk instead of an actual person. They don't accept cash either, which makes sense since there's no real register interaction. The workers who are there do seem friendly and helpful. The lobby is small, so nobody is really eating there. It's more of a crowd waiting for their food. Everything is made fresh, so it does take a few extra minutes. The menu is pretty simple: smash burger, double smash burger, fries, and a handful of toppings. I usually get a double (patties are thin as with any smash) with cheese, grilled onions, and fresh jalapeños. The burger comes with Thousand Island-style sauce, and they have yellow chilis if you want some extra heat. The fries are crispy, the burgers are tasty, and even the bun is really good. They recently added lettuce as an option, so apparently the menu is expanding lol. I haven't tried the shakes yet, but they offer those too. This place is more of a quick-bite type spot, not a dinner date; I usually see people eating in their cars. It also closes pretty early at 7:30. Tried Fifty Burger for the first time today. Even with traveling home a few miles the food was still hot and fresh. The fry orders were huge and we could have easily shared an order between at least two people. The place was clean and our was prepared quickly. We expected a wait after reading other reviews but we were pleasantly surprised that our order was ready sooner than we thought it would be. We would definitely return. Update: Went again this past weekend. Burger 4.5 out of 5. For the price I think the burger is a solid value proposition for the quality of the meat and toppings. You start off by walking into a small restaurant space with limited seating area and two huge kiosks to order your food without needing to talk to anyone. If you struggle with social anxiety, or simply have days where your social battery is low i definitely recommend trying this place. Fifty Burger was recommended to my by a colleague at a work event. Can't trust people these days... Fifty Burger is located between Home Depot and Subways. There is plenty of parking but no tables inside, outside, or within the plaza. When I entered there's a line and 2 kiosks. Absolutely no engagement or interaction from staff. All while the wall has a sign that says "Community First". I would feel like the owners care if they had some tables for me to enjoy my food or if staff actually had a conversation with me. Since it was my first visit, I ordered from every section of their menu to support them and to give it a proper sampling. Since they have smashburgers I already know they're flat, so I ordered the Double ($6.50) with grilled onions, Fries ($3.50), and a Chocolate Premium Ice Cream Shake ($6.50). Even before eating the food I had already decided there was no way I would come back... I WAITED FOR FORTY MINUTESSSSSSS for this not-fast food. Goodness. Strangers and I were commiserating together as we waited. One lady said it would have been faster to go to the groceries and make burgers herself. Another lady pointed out there's no option to preorder online or by phone. But judging at how backed up they were, I don't think they can handle additional online orders unless they improve their efficiency. The shops small so there might be space limitations with the kitchen even if they choose to hire more staff. Fortyyyyyyyyyy minutes of my life wasted. Honestly if there was a staff member around I would have asked for a refund and left at the 20 minute mark. They called my number and handed me my food and shake. The bag had ONE napkin. Once again... I don't feel like a valued customer. Such messy food and I only get one napkin and no where to sit. It was too sketch to eat it on a curb outside so I had to eat it in my car for a fair assessment. It stinked up my car for days. I really regret coming here. Anyways as for the food, the burger with the grilled onions was fine. I enjoyed the taste, the potato bun is a nice touch. However it is small even for a double. AND NOT WORTH 40 MINUTES. The fries were okay, I only ate half cause it wasn't good enough to indulge in. The shake was just as disappointing as the 40 minute wait. I'm not sure when they made this shake but they made it too early. The product they gave me can't even be legally called a shake when it was the consistency of chocolate milk. I moved my straw around to find any part that is still thick but it's ALL WATERY. Gross!! I hate melted products the most. I tossed the shake after a few sips because it wasn't worth the calories and sugar intake. The place is small and gets crowded quick so patience is a must, we waited about 20/25 minutes for 4 burgers. Now for the burgers they have sweet, spicy, I tasted more of the sauce and grilled onions, buns then the thin meat patty, so for me this new smash burger place is ok, but if you like these kinds of burgers than this place is for you. The place is a little pricey and only takes card, no cash The place is clean, busy and has some areas to sit so you can wait for your order, there is a small table with chairs for the little ones to sit. We also ordered their fifty fries. The burgers are very good and for the price I don't know if you will find a better burger. I actually thought that the double would not be enough meat with their smashed patties but it may have been. I did enjoy my triple burger but do not think it is necessary. The fries I did not get a good sense because I did not try them for about 20 min after ordering and in the container they lost their crispness. Checking out this brand new hamburger location in the city of Upland. This is a cashless, pickup and go location. Specialty is only smashburgers. The inside is taylored for folks to wait while your burgers are cooked and smashed. There is a big long bench and also a small niche for children too draw or color while you wait. Other options are fries or nacho cheese fries. Ambience was very calm and relaxing; the two ladies at the location were very hospitable and welcoming. It was a bit salty IMO, but still good. I'd give it a solid 7/10. It's on the smaller side, so if you're hungry, get 2 or a 3x or 4x. For 1 burger the wait was a bit long. Almost 25 minutes and I only had 4 people ahead of me. This is a take-out only place. There is a bench to wait for your order, but thats all. This is a cashless place, which I'm not a fan of. You order on a kiosk and have little to no interaction until they call your number. Prices are a bit high IMO for the amount of meat you get, but the toppings were good and fresh, so I'll let it slide, but if they raise the price any, I would probably not go back. During the wait I needed to use the restroom but there was none and I had to walk to The Home Depot to use theirs. The burger was excellent but no tomato or lettuce was offered. The fries were also excellent. The shake was mediocre. They need to offer lettuce and tomato, make the shake thicker, and cut down on the wait time, and if they do that I will return; otherwise, In N Out is a better choice.
