The potatoes were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the waffle was hands down the best I've ever had--crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. Gotta admit, I'm pretty bummed out about my experience. I was trying to find a good breakfast spot, and got a good vibe from pics and reviews. I got there and it was packed with a 55 minute wait. That told me, okay, worth it, just do it. I enjoyed the music, although it was slightly too loud. The restaurant is like being in an amphitheater, lots of echos. There was a ton of staff too. I was shocked to see how many servers were on deck. Ordered a Spanish Latte, and damn. It was perfection. Then seeing how friendly and energetic the staff was, made me excited to get my food. (Well, let's be clear... only ONE server was energetic and outgoing. lol) But then my green chilaquiles came and boy they were dry as hell. Sort of flavorless. I ordered a side of green salsa to help it out, but that's when I saw that the salsa was WAY too watery to do anything. The beans were also mid. I definitely would not come back for breakfast, but I would come back to get a coffee, sit outside, and perhaps try a French toast if the wait wasn't so ridiculous. But what is going on with the food?! I ordered the chilaquiles divorciados and was sadly underwhelmed. It's almost as if things are being cooked ahead of time and then reheated. I ordered over medium eggs and got sunny side up, which was good bc the salsa on the tortillas was DRY. The green salsa tastes better than the red. My husband ordered the sopes, which were fine, but he did get a CLUMP OF DIRT from his potatoes. The red chilaquiles were cold and tasted like tomato sauce. For $25 a plate I'm expecting something really good and I am once again completely let down. Please please put in the same effort you had 2 years ago when we found this place. Food came out hot and fresh. I guess you can claim farm to table even if food seems to be cooked in advanced and reheated. These past few times we've been here... EPIC FAIL. Service- one of the check in host can be RUDE. Food service is usually decent and quick. FOOD- sadly this place for me has gone through the "hype up, lower standards" that usually happens when a place gets too popular/ busy . Examples: cold coffee. It's not ok to serve your customers cold coffee and pretend no one knows. Soggy French toast: ew. They used to be my favorite and now they're just soggy pieces of egg flavored bread- no thank you. Came here on a Saturday morning at 10 am. I was alone so I sat at the bar, the service is good, super busy but good! I had the sopes divorciados and they were really good. I went on a Sunday at around 9:30am, waited less than 30 minutes to be seated. The host and waitress were super nice. The food was very delicious I love how they cook their potatoes here. Big portion sizes to fill you up and the lattes are absolutely delicious. I like how you're able to order a latte to go. The reason I took off a star is because this restaurant needs a bigger location. The outside seating feels very crammed and it's so small you have people waiting to be seating and in line staring at you while you eat creating an awkward moment. I guess it took me 2 years to get back to Gina's. The wait here is still forever. Foetunately we came in at 2pm and were seated right away (as they close at 3pm). There was still a lot of people here when we arrived. They got our orders quickly. And the food came out very fast. We had their chai tea latte (hot) and a cold honey lavander matcha. The matcha drink wasent the greatest. Ive had better. The chai drink was soothing. They served both drinks with a biscoff cookie, which was nice. I ordered their omelette with house potatoes and my wife got their chicken and waffles. The chicken isnt what you would think for the chicken and waffles. More like a big chicken patty. But it was crispy. And the waffle was fluffy and amazing. The omelette was very good. And I so do love their potatoes. Everything tasted great. The place clearly has a strong local following because customers kept coming in nonstop the entire time we were there. Portions here are huge overall, so come hungry. One thing that surprisingly stood out the most was the potatoes. The service here is great! Our waiters were very friendly and charming. It was my mom's birthday and they brought out a slice of chocolate cake with beautiful chocolate lettering on the plate. We did outdoor seating and the shading pretty decent! It is a little tight though with the layout and how many people are eating outside too. I ordered the Chicken and Waffle meal with a side of cooked vegetables. The chicken is very juicy and flavorful! I wish I asked for salt to bring out the flavors of the seasoning more but other than that, it was very delicious. The waffles were warm and toasty and topped with some sort of sweet cream (not sure which one?) that paired nicely with the waffles. The side with veggies were quite yummy too and serve as nice leftovers. To drink I ordered an iced Lavender Latte. I'm very picky with my coffee and this one was not for me. It was quite milky and tasted mostly like lavender and sweet milk. I wish the coffee flavor was more prominent and stronger. The lavender syrup is really decent though and seems to be made in house. Fair enough though, they don't specialize in coffees but the food. Can't wait to go back to try more food and coffee from Gina's! I'm interested in tasting the other coffees hot but maybe when the weather cools down. read more

We went in today 8/16 and we waited around 1.5 hours to be seated. Which we didn't mind because this place is hyped and there was a lot of people. We got sat at a bar. We were helped pretty fast which was nice and the waiter took our order. The food took roughly 20 mins to come out. (Understandable because it's very busy) the food esthetic is really nice. Nice colors in the food, clean presentation. Once we started eating, we were shocked. The food had absolutely no flavor. The salsa in the chilaquiles tasted like its was a bunch of peppers put together with NO seasoning. I asked for my eggs over medium and they came out with the egg white still raw. (In the picture it looks well cooked but some areas were raw) They did offer to bring be new eggs which were still under cooked but I ate the parts that were cooked. The Birria omelet did not have any flavor which is really disappointing because birria is a food that's packed with flavor. THE PANCAKE. The toppings 10/10 the banana was delicious and so was the cream on top. But the pancake itself was super hard. Felt like a brownie texture. Overall we would not come here again. The restaurant is SUPER hyped and does not deliver. I would understand if one plate did not live up to the hype but all plates were top a 3/10 for us. We went early for breakfast, around 8 am, and the place was practically empty- there was a couple outside and a couple inside. We went in and a waitress was setting a table, she saw us and said "I guess I'll seat you" like maybe someone else, like a hostess, was supposed to be doing the seating. She chose a table for us but we asked for the back corner table, she said no because they were waiting for 20 person group, so we sat by the window. The "group" did not show up while were there. The first waitress that came to us was sweet and helpful. She noticed we were looking for Splenda for our coffee, and brought us some. We are looking over the menu when another waitress came to take our order. She was younger and seemed less friendly. When taking our order, I asked for the Traditional Breakfast Combo with Waffle, I asked for sourdough toast but was told that my combo doesn't come with toast, even though it clearly shows it comes with toast. When I questioned her she said no because I picked the waffle, so then toast is extra. Huh? That didn't make sense. We are paying extra for the waffle so why would the toast be extra as well? Was a bit put off by that answer. My husband ordered the Breakfast Enchiladas with Chicken. The seasoning on the chicken was incredible! It was juicy and delicious. The breakfast enchiladas were in a spicy green sauce and were so creamy and fresh. My breakfast was good. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned. The bacon was undercooked as was the sausage. Eggs were fine and the waffle was OK. As we were eating, my husband asked if they had WiFi and was told no because it interfered with their devices. When he checked, there were 3 different listing for WiFi so he was a bit confused. Overall our experience was uncomfortable and we did feel welcomed.
