I guess it took me 2 years to get back to Gina's. The wait here is still forever. Foetunately we came in at 2pm and were seated right away (as they close at 3pm). There was still a lot of people here when we arrived. They got our orders quickly. And the food came out very fast. We had their chai tea latte (hot) and a cold honey lavander matcha. The matcha drink wasent the greatest. Ive had better. The chai drink was soothing. They served both drinks with a biscoff cookie, which was nice. I ordered their omelette with house potatoes and my wife got their chicken and waffles. The chicken isnt what you would think for the chicken and waffles. More like a big chicken patty. But it was crispy. And the waffle was fluffy and amazing. The omelette was very good. And I so do love their potatoes. Everything tasted great. These past few times we've been here... EPIC FAIL. Service- one of the check in host can be RUDE. Food service is usually decent and quick. FOOD- sadly this place for me has gone through the "hype up, lower standards" that usually happens when a place gets too popular/ busy . Examples: cold coffee. It's not ok to serve your customers cold coffee and pretend no one knows. Soggy French toast: ew. They used to be my favorite and now they're just soggy pieces of egg flavored bread- no thank you. The place clearly has a strong local following because customers kept coming in nonstop the entire time we were there. Even with the high volume, the service stayed friendly and efficient, which was impressive. Tried the huevos rancheros and it was really satisfying and filling without feeling too heavy. Portions here are huge overall, so come hungry. One thing that surprisingly stood out the most was the potatoes. They were unbelievably soft, flavorful, and perfectly cooked to the point we were jokingly wondering if they were somehow engineered in a lab because they tasted that good. Came here with my sister and her husband and we all ordered the traditional breakfast combo with waffles, eggs, potatoes, sausage, and bacon. Everything was really delicious. The waffles were soft and flavorful, the eggs were cooked just right, and the potatoes had great seasoning. The sausage and bacon were very good as well. What really stood out was the service. They told us the wait would be about 15-20 minutes, but we were seated in about 5 minutes, which was a nice surprise. I love this place. My Boy's and I have been twice this month. We dined for dinner. I always See the parking lot full and I loathe crowds so I never had a chance to experience it before. I don't write reviews often--but this one I had to write. We've been to Gina's Kitchen a handful of times for breakfast, and it has never disappointed. Recently, we had an out-of-state guest who just wanted a good lunch--he ordered the burger and said it was one of the best he's ever had. That's when we realized they also serve dinner... and WOW. Last week, my husband and I came for dinner and were blown away. So last night, we brought friends who had never been--and the experience was honestly next level. We started with the pork belly guacamole. The pork belly was like butter--perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. I ordered the "Outside Skirt," not even fully knowing what cut it was. When it came out, Chef George himself came to the table and explained the best way to cut and enjoy it. Then he brought out a gravy glaze to go with it--what a touch! Let me just say: this was the best steak I have ever had. And I'm not kidding when I say it was better than any steak I've had at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Truly exceptional. Our waitress, Lexi, was an absolute doll--so attentive and kind. As an iced tea lover, I especially appreciated that my glass was never empty (that matters more than people realize!). I even asked Lexi to tell Chef George this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. And then... the churro cake. I'm diabetic and never eat dessert--but I had two bites and all I can say is: WOW. Seriously WOW. It was that good. I wish I had taken pictures of all the food, but we were too busy enjoying every bite. I did manage to snap a before-and-after of the cake... and that alone tells the story! For the price, you absolutely get your money's worth. We couldn't stop raving about the green chilaquiles or the poblano panini! We also tried the strawberry matcha, but it tasted mostly like milk, so I wouldn't recommend that one. However, the dirty chai and caramel latte were both excellent! The location appears bigger on the outside but quite small on the inside however it does have outdoor seating. The food was good but I wasn't wowed and that's common with Mexican food. The portions were good for the price except for the pancake, the pancakes price felt unjustified by a few dollars. The service was amazing though, every employee that walked by checked in on us . My friend had the Mexican Cinnamon Latte- though I forgot its exact name, and I had an orange latte. We both ordered the chilaquiles, and the portion was huge. One thing to keep in mind is that parking can be a big problem since there aren't too many spots open, especially in this busy commercial shopping area.
