Our server, Hrutik, was outstanding and made our experience even better! The food, beer, and atmosphere were all fantastic. We started with the green bean fries and wings, and both were excellent. The wings were packed with flavor, and the green bean fries were perfectly crispy and absolutely delicious. For our entrees, I had the Caprese panini, which was fresh and flavorful, while my husband ordered the Reuben. So many places skimp on the meat in a Reuben, but not here - it was piled high. If you're looking for great food, cold beer, and a fun atmosphere, this place is definitely worth checking out. We'll absolutely be back!

Batu was very attentive and accommodating for my GF diet, putting my Altitude Burger on a lettuce wrap. Burgers were delicious (the maple bacon was fantastic)! Truffle fries were tasty and crispy. We will definitely stop in again when in Estes Park.

After a long travel day we wanted something easy but not fast food or too fancy. After reading the Yelp reviews we decided to give The Hive a try. It's located in the Estes Brewery but upstairs. The brewery has been there since 1994 with some limited bar food offerings. The restaurant part was taken over by new management about three months ago. They have inside and outside seating. We chose outside and it was lovely on the covered patio. We selected burgers with a side salad sub for fries. Two different types of burgers but both delicious. The prices are good too. Nice beer selection as well. Oh, they have a reasonably priced rib eye steak if you're really hunger.

Food is poor quality. Pizzas are way too cheesy, fried fish tastes like pancakes. Waitress took a long time to check in

Food was decent and not overly expensive but the atmosphere was just so so. Service was good.

The three dishes we got were all fantastic! - mango shrimp: came with at least 16 shrimps and such a light and refreshing flavor with the mango - steak frites: easily two meals and steak was delicious - bison flautas: savory and so well balanced with their guacamole Service was excellent as well! Our waitress was super attentive and had no issues with us moving tables and going from outdoors to indoors when we got too toasty outside.

I heard this place was amazing and that it's a must try in Estes Park but please if you have high taste and are expecting big city level quality, do not get your hopes up! It's not good!! Maybe I'm being snotty for coming from a big city (DC and NYC) so I need to lower my expectations, but I've had great food in Colorado so I don't think that's it. But this was upsetting. And I do appreciate the manager for being so kind because it was really a miserable evening. Starting off we had a reservation at 6:30. So I expect to be sat at least by 6:35/6:40. We made this reservation three weeks in advance. But they clearly oversat people without reservations because we didn't get sat until 7:00. That was frustrating. We waited for drinks for about 20 minutes. They were delicious don't get me wrong. These were the highlight of the evening. The pear spritz and grapefruit margarita were fantastic. Loved. We ordered apps next. I don't know why they think goat cheese is a good addition to potato leek soup. I figured I'd try it because why not. Not good. And the focaccia? Two small slices for $4? I would hope that the waiter would've told us what we were getting because yikes. Why is there more butter than bread? We would've paid extra for two more slices but the transparency made us feel jipped. Now let's talk food. Took about 45 minutes. It's busy, I understand. But honestly I thought it might've been out earlier because our food came out lukewarm. Borderline cold. And talk about salt!!! It was like eating the sea. My mom and I both ordered the filet and were horrified to see it was cut. A filet. It dries it out! But yeah, there was no balance. It was salt on salt on salt. Gross. The waiter was very nice and so was the manager. They asked to take it back. But honestly it was just bad so we were ready to leave. They brought out two free glasses of wine which again was nice. But we again, just wanted to be done and go home. We didn't get dessert even though it was offered. Everything fell so short that honestly I didn't even want to try dessert. Again-- the food is bad. All extremely salty. If you like that, there you go. But the fact that it was basically cold? Yeah that's unacceptable. And as I said, grateful to the staff. But starting off not having been sat for 30 minutes after making a reservation weeks in advance? This was pitiful to say the least. Don't go here unless you want drinks and a beautiful view.

There were a couple of mix-ups with our order, including Mezcal which has a very distinct taste accidentally being added to my margarita, and some incorrect side dishes but the staff handled everything quickly and professionally. Since the restaurant had only recently reopened with a new menu, the mistakes were understandable. I ordered the Smashburger with fries, and my friend had the chicken fajita sandwich with a salad. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable for the area. The rooftop offers beautiful views of Estes Park and is conveniently located right in the shopping district. The only downside was the orange barrier coverings around parts of the rooftop while renovations were being completed. They blocked some of the views and took away a bit of the ambiance. Once those renovations are finished, this will be an even better spot. Great food, attentive service, and a fantastic location, I would definitely visit again once the renovations are completed.

We sat down and about 10 minutes later, a couple sat behind us and our waitress visited and brought water to their table first instead of ours. In addition, another couple behind us was not seen by any waiter/waitress and had to ask a worker (who might have been an assistant manager? Although, not clear what his position was) if they can order with him. Overall service felt scattered, a bit slow overall, and unprofessional. Food: I ordered the tex mex bowl with barbacoa. It tasted as expected, nothing spectacular. However, there was a massive piece of plastic in my food. I let the waitress know and she apologized on behalf of the kitchen. I kept the meal because I hate waste and I didn't see any other plastic pieces in the food. Right after I found the plastic, I also discovered a bone in the meat. It was big enough to hurt a tooth if I had bit down on it but thankfully I spit it out before I chewed my food completely. While a bone might be normal to find in meat, I was certainly unhappy that now two objects were in this food. I was never comped for my meal and the manager never visited my table to apologize. I only write reviews if I had a fantastic experience or when I feel the need to warn others about the restaurant. I recommend choosing another restaurant before choosing this one if you prefer quality food and service.

After one of my go-to nearby restaurants closed down, I decided to venture here for a burger. This place rocks! Boss Burgers and Gyros reminds me of a classic dive that we all know and love. Nothing fancy, no frills, no fuss, no pretentiousness, just tasty food at an affordable price. You order at the counter and the cashier gives you a table number. Plenty of outdoor seating with some indoor seating as well. This place gets pretty busy, but the staff hustles. Kitchen is cranking out relatively quick ticket times so you don't have to wait that long at all. For a cheeseburger with bacon and jalapeños and an order of cheese fries, this was $14 and change. And I added the bacon and jalapeños to the burger! In Denver, this would be $25, haha. The cheese fries (small) were really enough for two people. So you get your money's worth after a day exhausting yourself at RMNP. Burger was great. I added some mustard to mine at the table. It comes with LTO, ketchup, and mayo. This tastes like what you want at a backyard BBQ. Served on a red plastic tray with paper lining, this mom and pop place dishes humble food without breaking the bank. Bacon was crispy, cheese was melty, I had no complaints! Only knock on the cheese fries were that they desperately needed salt. It's not the best burger place of all time, but it doesn't need to be. These are the types of places I love supporting. Will return and maybe try an elk dog next time!
