    Iced Beekeeper Latte
    Zan L.

A nice little breakfast and lunch café attached to the AMLI apartment complex. I live walking distance away, so can't speak to parking however when we arrived at around 10 AM on Saturday morning, it was pretty crowded. They have a few tall counter seats inside, however most of the seats are outside, but during our visit, every table was taken so we had to get our items to go. The service is really fast and and the server behind the counter was polite. However, I'm giving four stars due to the lack of options on the menu and the high pricing. I had breakfast at a restaurant about half a mile away the day after and it was actually less expensive than this little café. We got a breakfast burrito, avocado toast, and two lattes, and it was almost $60. This place is more designed as a quick to go option and should not be seen as somewhere with a full service sit down type of experience. You place your order at the counter and they call your name and then you are on your own. It is in a very pretty location and very close to the beach so that will factor into the pricing. For our visit, we chose the Braised Beef Breakfast Burrito, which I thought was pretty nice although it was more watery than I like, and I think it would've been better if there would have been Carne Asada, and perhaps the eggs were added too quickly because it was just more liquid in there than I expected. The Avocado Toast was honestly great and the Beekeeper Lattes that we got were fantastic, one of the better oat milk lattes I've ever had. Overall, I would recommend if you are in the area and I plan to be back in the future to try more items.

Amazing toasts! I got the butter/berry toast - the most amazing take on a PB&J I've ever had! Nice area to sit outside. They also have a super cool selection of inspiring books.

Stopped by The Hive in Marina del Rey and left completely refreshed! I ordered the TROPICALI smoothie--mango, pineapple, coconut, banana, almond milk, and bee pollen--and it was pure sunshine in a cup. It had the perfect balance of tropical sweetness and creamy texture, with just the right touch of natural energy from the bee pollen. You can taste the quality and freshness in every sip. It's the kind of drink that makes you feel like you're doing something good for your body and your taste buds. The spot itself is bright, clean, and has a super chill vibe--perfect for a post-workout boost or just a feel-good treat any time of day. Can't wait to go back and try more!

This is a delicious spot with fresh ingredients, friendly service, and plenty of vegan options. Although you're limited to 1 base, 2 crunches, and 2 friends, they serve a generous amount of everything. The almond butter was $2 extra, but the amount given was plentiful. On top of yummy food, the storefront is vibrantly decorated and a nice place to sit and enjoy your meal. I hope to go back and try more vegan dishes. Food: 9/10, Service: 10/10, Ambience: 9/10, Vegan-friendly: 10/10

    OG Breakfast Burrito
    Naz S.

Such a great neighborhood spot. The food is fresh, flavorful, and feels genuinely nourishing without being boring. everything tastes well thought-out and high quality. The drip coffee was a bit lighter than I prefer, but still enjoyable. Service is friendly and the vibe is relaxed but stylish. Perfect stop after a workout or for a casual meet-up. Definitely a Marina del Rey staple.

Stopped by for a smoothie after a sunny day out. I love blue spirulina & coconut so I got the blue crush. It was very yummy! However it was almost $20 for a pretty small size so sadly will not be returning.

    Donnie's Breakfast Burrito

The hive is a nice little casual brunch spot in the marina. You can be in out quick and they have good costumer service. The Donnie Breakfast burrito is cool. It's a decent size and packs some food flavor. The egg is cooked well could use some more pepper. The side salsa was not my favorite but it was ok.

Small grab and good spot Orangetheory fitness and semi close to Marriott A decent amount of outdoor seating and friendly service. They actually brought the food out and consistently checked in Donnie's breakfast burrito was Phil. I love how it's loaded with tons of mushrooms and well-balanced. The OG breakfast burrito was also amazing if you like your baking crispy or your potatoes crispy, I will let them know Avocado toast looks like a popular item since I saw a lot of people get it along with her açaí bowls Had the blue crush smoothie which is really good the blue spirulina, blueberries, and coconut whip cream definitely blended well Love this spot and nothing but positive vibes definitely will be coming back

    BYO Warm Bowl
    Angela P.

Here's the choices I added for the BYO macro bowl: Coconut ginger quinoa and lemon herb farro base, balsamic brussel sprouts, maple sweet potatoes, whipped hummus, crumbled pistachios, lemon herb tahini. The macro bowl was delicious, although the portion size was small for the price. It took up barely 1/3 of the bowl. Could've added more portions to the base and toppings :( The place was really cute! Not a lot of people and it was very clean and organized. It was very difficult to find parking, took about 45 min looking for parking without paying a ridiculous fee. Please make parking more accessible to reach the restaurant. Based on my concerns, I docked off two stars. Overall, it's a good place to get lunch, but it could be better.

    Matcha Latte with almond milk
    Krystal H.

The hive just opened up in my area (used to be a starbucks) and Im so glad. I wanted a place near me that sold acai bowls and cheap healthy eats. To have some self control ive limited myself to coming twice this month lol The first time I had a regular iced almond milk latte and their avocado toast on their gluten bread. For the price it came out to $20 with the added poached eggs, which is a little high, but the flavor profile was well worth it and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Go I ordered eggs Benedict and their Matcha latte with almond milk. I was a little disappointed to see that the eggs Benedict were overcooked given that my first meal with them had perfectly poached eggs, the flavor profile for the eggs bunny also wasn't as great as the flavor profile for the avocado toast. The Matcha latte was good. It was not sweetened and had a very earthy flavor to it. I'm looking forward to trying an açai bowl or smoothie at this place to give a full review but so far what I've had has been tasty and decent

    Green Hornet Smoothie
    Kellen P.

Grabbed the Green Hornet Smoothie as a quick snack to take on my walk around the marina and it was pretty darn tasty for a green smoothie. It consisted of kale, ginger, spirulina, apple, avocado, green protein alchemy, bee pollen, and banana. The Hive's staff was also friendly and fairly quick to whip up my order. There's a few single window seats in the cafe along with multitudes of self-help books for the choosing. There's also several shaded outdoor tables for those who want to dine in the fresh marina air yet forgot to lather on enough sunscreen to confidently risk a summer sunburn. Or if you're in need of a healthy tan, take your food closer to the marina boardwalk to soak up some rays and watch the sea lions bark at one another. TLDR: if you're on a growth journey both mentally and physically, this spot has you covered!

    Is there table service?

No, it's a counter service cafe.

Is the chicken organic and salmon wild-caught? Thank you!

What are the ingredients in their chicken? Do they use olive oil or another oil to cook their food?…

Hi London, thanks for writing in. For our chicken, it is cooked with tomatoes, olive oil, lemon, balsamic vinegar, onions, salt and pepper and chicken stock. The almond milk we use in BOH is house made daily. Hope this helps!

Do they validate parking? Garage rates first 15 min free , $10 per hour

We sure do. 60 mins free parking. But currently the gate just opens when you leave as the building is just getting it organized.

    Do they offer free wifi?

    Yes!

Belle's is located right on Venice Beach, which made al fresco dining very nice. We had a private bar as well as an array of appetizers. The servers and bartenders were very nice and accommodating. A group of us had the Marine Layer cocktail upon their recommendation. This cocktail was summery and tropical with heavy Japanese influence. The base was tequila. Yuzu and passionfruit provided sweetness and tang while elements such as mitsuba, chili, and lava salt added umami and contrast. Other drinks I enjoyed included their Mai Tai and Watermelon Margarita. I really liked the marg with Mezcal. The lychee spritz was also good. It was the most wine-forward lychee spritz I've ever had, but it was still very nice. The appetizers were delicious. I really liked the crispy rock shrimp, spicy tuna crispy rice, and yakitori skewers. The avocado toast needed a hearty sprinkle of salt and pepper, but other than that, the food was great. I had a wonderful time at Belle's Beach House. I would love to come back to try more cocktails and small bites.

The food was just ok, but really - the whole experience was not good enough to justify the pricing. We had the calamari, which came with fried slices of lemon (strange) and zucchini (only about 1/3 was calamari), and it was overfried and oily. That didn't work for me! Also, we had shrimp rolls, which were categorized as an entrée, but really it was an appetizer. It literally was a small bread roll 5 x 2 inches long, filled with small shrimp; very tasty, but again not filling in the least!! Plus, they charged extra for fries with this little thing. Personally, I was turned off about that as the server said we had a choice of fries or salad; this was another way to upcharge. Disappointed, we ordered salad and added additional shrimp for extra $$, and the salad was small, although very tasty! We enjoyed ourselves because the atmosphere was nice and the service was super friendly. Still, I left feeling that I greatly overpaid, plus they tack on extra for health care on the bill; sorry, but that's another turn-off. As a suggestion to management: Your costs are your business, and as a customer, I am fine with paying high prices that include ALL your costs. It's tacky to add that stuff on the bill to see; I expect you will provide adequate pay for your staff, and I would have happily paid even more if the food was correctly and fairly portioned.

What a wonderful surprise…read more I live just around the corner from Jamaica Bay Inn, and for whatever reason, it took me far too long to finally have dinner here with family and friends. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The restaurant overlooks Mother's Beach, and the setting is exactly what you'd hope for: peaceful, relaxed, and quintessential Marina del Rey. You almost expect the view to be the highlight... Then the food shows up. For appetizers, we shared the hummus plate and the calamari. Both were excellent. As someone whose kids were practically raised eating seafood around the ports of New England, calamari is one of those deceptively simple dishes we judge pretty harshly. Beachside absolutely passed the test. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was solid, but the real stars of the evening were the roasted Jidori chicken and the jumbo shrimp fettuccine. The chicken was perfectly juicy, something that sounds easy but surprisingly few restaurants consistently get right. The shrimp fettuccine completely stole the show. In fact, it's now become my daughter's regular takeout order, and she's easily the toughest pasta critic in our family. Congratulations... you've officially earned the title of our favorite pasta spot in the Marina. The service was another highlight. Our server spoke both German and Italian, had a great sense of humor, and made the evening feel warm and effortless. Between the location, the food, and the hospitality, I already know this is going to become one of our regular family dinner spots.

We didn't tell him there were any issues, because once the decision was made to stay, why ruin his holiday too? lol Ordered coffee. Dreadful. Ok, no big deal. The food came out and I could immediately SEE The Unappetizing . It's special when you can tell that your food is going to be bad before you take one bite. The French toast was Sahara dry, burned and flavorless. The chicken, was competing with it in the dry and flavorless category-- I really can't say which was worse. I don't really use hot sauce and I drowned the tenders in Cholula just to make it halfway edible. Literally we could have waited for the AMC chicken tenders and they would have been better, which is horrifying. Particularly when you try to avoid fried food in general and now you are poisoning your body for no good reason. Husband ordered a steak and eggs, medium well. I'll attach the picture and I'll let you be the judge of whether or not it was cooked properly. Eggs were not good either. Immediately, I gave hubby more than half my plate because he eats All of Everything that's put in front of him. Something would have to get up and walk off his plate for him to not eat it. He was taught not to waste food, period. The exception was steak so that he could take it home, cook it, and then eat it. This was possibly the worst meal I've ever had, and certainly on a special occasion.
