Sunny and crisp day in MDR calls for some coffee by the water. They had a special cloud foam with ube advertised right outside so we decided to give it a try which is a collab with the Sparks. Also available on hand are collab merch with the Sparks with the same color-way as the Lakers Get parking validated at the cafe and walk around to enjoy the Marina. Coffee tasted pretty good - a little sweet when the ube settles but a quick stir remedies that.

I love their World Famous Vanilla Latte. It's so good and consistently good! I've recently tried their Strawberry Matcha Latte and it's yummy, too. I don't always say that because I'm pickier when it comes to matcha, but it's really good. Parking is easy to find. Service is quick.

Busy place but efficient. Friendly service received on our visit. One person working the register. Three preparing orders. A small amount of indoor seating but there are tables outside. The breakfast burrito was good as was the bagel with cream cheese. My caramel latte didn't have a lot of caramel flavor, but otherwise all was good with our visit.

The matcha was a good bitter and not sweet at all. I am curious to try the matchaga next time. The staff moves the line quickly and there is plenty of spots to sit outside and enjoy your drink. They have a bathroom inside and parking isn't too difficult. They also validate up to 2hrs so thats nice too!

We came to this coffee shop after having dinner at the handroll shop next door. We felt like we needed a caffeine kick! This is the same parking lot as the shops for the marina. You can park on the left or right. You get two hours of free parking with validation! We stared at the menu for a bit before ordering. We finally decided to get their vanilla latte since it was advertised as the one that got them famous?? It was our first time here, so we were willing to try it. When ordering it, I tried to use the restroom.... Either someone was using it for a very long time, or I just couldn't figure out how to open it. I gave up! We received our drink within 5 minutes and headed back to our car. We drank it and thought it was very strong but no vanilla? We grabbed a fork from my glove compartment to give it a swirl. We drank it again and couldn't tell if there was vanilla in it. Long story short, we're not sure what made it famous because the taste was lacking. For coffee, it is definitely on the strong side, but the flavor profile was not there. It's also fairly overpriced compared to the delicious mom and pop shops we're used to. Needless to say, we probably won't give it another go.

I arrived here early at 750am and there was a small line. There were about 6 employees but only one register. They don't take cash here, it's completely cashless. The line was moving so slow, it took about 10 minutes just to take my order. I didn't end up getting my drinks until 828am. Too many employees just chit chatting instead of actually moving the line. The coffee was ok, nothing spectacular about it. Would I come back here? Nope, I can make better coffee at home in less time.

I had read about Alfred Coffee in a foodie magazine and when I drove by this location in Marina del Rey, I decided to stop and check it out. This small artisan coffee shop was bustling on a Sunday morning. The busy baristas were working hard through the long line and never ending list of both in-store and mobile orders, which gave the shop a lively and slightly chaotic vibe. It definitely feels like a grab-and-go spot more than a place to settle in, especially since seating and parking are very limited. You do get validated parking with a purchase. The location is right next to a marina. There's a nice outdoor area which makes it perfect for grabbing your coffee and taking a walk around while looking at the boats and water. It's a great way to enjoy your drink without needing a seat, which is good because there are very few inside. I was there in early January, which means the holiday menu was still being offered. The seasonal drinks were fun and creative. I decided to try the eggnog latte, which was espresso and cashew milk blended with eggnog style spices. It was weird to be sure, and much different than your typical coffee drink. I'm not usually a huge fan of super involved coffee concoctions, but I still enjoyed it and appreciated that Alfred does something a little playful with their menu. I would not order it again, however. The pastries looked amazing but I had just had brunch so I passed, but knowing they're made with real French butter definitely ups the appeal. I also loved the maritime-themed décor, which fits the Marina del Rey setting perfectly. There were little sailor sculptures, diving knick knacks, and a wall decorated entirely with yacht rock albums (nice)! This made the whole place feel very on-brand for the neighborhood. I found Alfred Coffee Marina del Rey to be a fun stop for a quick, quality coffee and a stroll by the water. I'd definitely return and try one of those flaky croissants next time!

I decided to head to Alfred's on a Wednesday morning , I figured it would be a busy time so I did a mobile order . I was right on the busy as there was a line out the door and people waiting around for their orders. Mobile order said it would be ready in 15 minutes but actually took closer to 25 minutes so order ahead ! I took advantage of the Tesla chargers which was a plus! I ordered their famous vanilla iced coffee and their bagel with the fresh spread and the coffee was a 9/10 because I had to keep mixing the syrup in the bottom but the fresh bagel with the spread was 15/10! The marina is so relaxing I decided to slow down and work from there because you really can't beat the views !

While looking for a Bank of America. I stumbled upon this cute little coffee shop. It was very trendy with an upscale feel. I ordered their famous vanilla latte with coconut milk. I was in a rush to a meeting and forgot to take a picture of the drink. It was very hot and delicious. They had a good selection of drinks and food on their menu. Note: you get two hours of free parking with validation.

A quaint coffee shop by the marina. Plenty of seating outside. Paid parking but they validate for the first two hours. The staff was nice and service is fast. I ordered the World Famous Vanilla Latte which was good.

I was excited to try Alfred's coffee while in LA for the first time. Unfortunately, I stopped by twice and I wasn't a fan of my drinks either time. The vibe and location of this place is top tier, but the coffee and matcha fell flat for me. The ratio of milk vs coffee/matcha was way off. It tasted like I was drinking a cup of milk. Popular place, and they offer parking validation, but I'd get coffee basically anywhere else.

    Tonya M.

Fun, bright coffee spot!! Next to the marina. Great place to grab a cappuccino (it's really good!) and sit for a spell. We have other coffee spots close..but choose to drive here (it's a favorite)

Finally got to try the famous vanilla latte! I got the vanilla sugar free with almond milk and it definitely lived up to the hype! I will give it 5/5 for the drinks! We also got the drink with espresso and Vanilla cold foam on top. Loved it! My husband was literally licking the foam from the cup at the end. We came on a Saturday morning and the line was really long. We tried to order on their website but it asked a lot of questions and wasn't very user friendly. Took us a while to order ahead on their online website and same with those around us who were trying to do the same. Once our drinks were made- our name was not called so we were just waiting for them to come out meanwhile they were sitting there on the counter. I'd definitely come back for the drinks but would order ahead on my way there to avoid the long wait!

What a wonderful surprise…read more I live just around the corner from Jamaica Bay Inn, and for whatever reason, it took me far too long to finally have dinner here with family and friends. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The restaurant overlooks Mother's Beach, and the setting is exactly what you'd hope for: peaceful, relaxed, and quintessential Marina del Rey. You almost expect the view to be the highlight... Then the food shows up. For appetizers, we shared the hummus plate and the calamari. Both were excellent. As someone whose kids were practically raised eating seafood around the ports of New England, calamari is one of those deceptively simple dishes we judge pretty harshly. Beachside absolutely passed the test. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was solid, but the real stars of the evening were the roasted Jidori chicken and the jumbo shrimp fettuccine. The chicken was perfectly juicy, something that sounds easy but surprisingly few restaurants consistently get right. The shrimp fettuccine completely stole the show. In fact, it's now become my daughter's regular takeout order, and she's easily the toughest pasta critic in our family. Congratulations... you've officially earned the title of our favorite pasta spot in the Marina. The service was another highlight. Our server spoke both German and Italian, had a great sense of humor, and made the evening feel warm and effortless. Between the location, the food, and the hospitality, I already know this is going to become one of our regular family dinner spots.

First let me say that Nahum, who helped us was excellent. The absolute perfect balance of checking on you but not overdoing it. If it weren't for Nahum, morning sun, and the breeze, I think we would have sent back our plates and left. Really. We didn't tell him there were any issues, because once the decision was made to stay, why ruin his holiday too? lol Ordered coffee. Dreadful. Ok, no big deal. The food came out and I could immediately SEE The Unappetizing . It's special when you can tell that your food is going to be bad before you take one bite. The French toast was Sahara dry, burned and flavorless. The chicken, was competing with it in the dry and flavorless category-- I really can't say which was worse. I don't really use hot sauce and I drowned the tenders in Cholula just to make it halfway edible. Literally we could have waited for the AMC chicken tenders and they would have been better, which is horrifying. Particularly when you try to avoid fried food in general and now you are poisoning your body for no good reason. Husband ordered a steak and eggs, medium well. I'll attach the picture and I'll let you be the judge of whether or not it was cooked properly. Eggs were not good either. Immediately, I gave hubby more than half my plate because he eats All of Everything that's put in front of him. Something would have to get up and walk off his plate for him to not eat it. He was taught not to waste food, period. The exception was steak so that he could take it home, cook it, and then eat it. This was possibly the worst meal I've ever had, and certainly on a special occasion. So many places we could have gone today that would have been a different experience, but it will never happen again. I was excited to see that this place had a biscuits and gravy and one with fried chicken bits nonetheless, but I guess they... lied? My biscuits and gravy came without fried chicken bits. Unless by "bits of fried chicken gravy" they meant fried chicken emulsified into a gravy- but I thought that "bits" implied that I would be receiving actual *bits* of fried chicken. The biscuits were nice and buttery enough but paired with the proteinless gravy, it kind of just tasted like butter overload. This place is also pretty inflexible. Wanted to replace my potatoes with turkey sausage, but it would've been an upcharge despite these two sides being of equal value a la carte on the menu. Alright. Then, I ordered a chocolate crepe, sat for a minute, and then changed my mind and wanted to switch to the cinnamon and sugar crepe. Problem is is that they only have one cashier at all times, and the bald cashier was pretty busy ranting about this serial grubhub scammer to his line of customers, so by the time I got to the front, the crepe had already been made; and they were unwilling to switch it for me at that point. Cool. The ambiance itself seemed nice-ish; they had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for the space and the indoor was nicely decorated, but the clientele that day made it a miserable dine-in experience (at least two screaming toddlers and a man who refused to hand over the bathroom key until I explained to him that if they gave the bathroom key to another customer, someone would walk in on me in the bathroom). So yeah. I think I won't come back.

They shared that each pizza dough is individually wrapped for transport from their bakery, then assembled onsite. To make sure the plastic mishap doesn't happen again, they updated their protocol to ensure more supervisor and individual checkpoints from drop off to assembly to baking. ACCOUNTABILITY I was really appreciative of the general manager being so quick to respond and share what they were doing to understand the root of the issue AND how they could make it right. REBUILDING TRUST The general manager was kind enough to invite us back to have dinner on the house! Super soft bubbles in the crust leading to a crispy yet soft bite. Amazing texture and flavor combinations - Duck Confit: WOW! I went with my French boyfriend and even he approved. Perfectly crispy skin, juicy cooked to perfection inside, and the grapes were a nice unexpected touch with the flavor profile. DO NOT SKIP! SO GOOD! - Wagyu beef cheek & burrata pasta: WOWOWW!
