Creamy coffee drink of Americano, smoky flavor, lovely salted creamy top. It's basically a cream top coffee. Loved the cream. Very well done. Everything mixed together tasted like coffee ice cream. TROPICOQUETA Guava-forward matcha drink. A little bit of fizz. There was an extra mineral taste. Could be from the carbonated water. Matcha was okay. But it didn't shine. It tasted muddled. It wasn't good. I always want to try mango mixed matchas, but this one was a letdown. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly service. Greeted as I first walked in and the barista even offered to answer any questions in regards to their menu. She was very easy-going and was not rushing me to order, which was nice. INDOOR + OUTDOOR SEATS Indoor sofas, tables, seats and bar seats. Outdoor tables and seats available. Very relaxed vibe overall. Most of the seats and tables were occupied and most people were there working on their laptops. PARKING There is a parking garage right next to Noun, but it is not free parking. I did not park there. Carpooled so I did not have to find parking, but the parking garage is an option if you're having your drinks to go. But probably best to find street parking. read more

Noun is a good little coffee shop near me. I always get the Matcha Heaven, it's very rich and intense but it really hits the spot when I need a hit of caffeine in the morning. Honestly, just for this drink it's a perfect place. The food and pastries here are just alright, and overpriced imo. I got the fruit yogurt granola thing and it was solid but a little plain and for $15 it was a total ripoff, but I was feeling hungry so what the heck. Loved the energy and aesthetic of this place! The girl at the register who also made our drinks was awesome. Super friendly and kind. Discovered this spot a on TikTok and went later that day. Great vibes. Went with the "short stack" drink, so so good. The sea salt is an amazing touch. I also got the chocolate cookie with cardamom, which I never heard of before. It was... Different. Not the biggest fan, but the cookie was still tasty and the big chocolate piece on it helped. Absolutely delicious if you're into cardamom. Loads of indoor and outdoor seating. This is a nice spot. Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon with a friend. Street parking was easy to find. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Perfect for working or catching up with a friend They sell lots of goodies, beans, matcha kits, Palestinian olive oil, etc Noun Coffee on a rainy day feels like a warm hug. I really Loved the Honeyama matcha latte. It has a nice matcha cream top and the flavor was strong but not too sweet My friend got their latte hot, which was rich warm felt like a hug, it was so good. The avocado toast on sourdough was delicious. The big windows soft comfy couches and beautiful natural light made it the perfect place to spend a rainy day afternoon. The fact that this place doesn't a higher star rating is diabolical! I finally made it down here from DTLA. I came from the Tik Tok viral Fridge Cigarette video & I had to make my way, being that I'm a Diet Coke Girly to the death of meeeeee. So. I got my fridge cigarette $8. I paid additional $2+ for the soft top add on which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing. Then I look to my right, & they have DIET COKE MERCH!? Helloooo!!? Ok so boom, now I got me a Diet Coke lighter & next I'm coming back for the Fridge Cig hat & spend some more time looking around. Parking was ehh, there's a parking structure but no spaces available it's limited. Otherwise good luck with street parking or loading zone which is why I couldn't stay long. Beautiful inside decorum, everything was modern aesthetic, really chill vibes to get some work done, catch up with friends, or stay awhile after dark & have some wine which I will be going next! I was excited to see that Marina Del Rey got a new coffeeshop with a nice aesthetic, this area has needed one for way too long. We came around 7 am on a weekday morning and got parking right outside. It didn't look like they had their own dedicated carpark. Noun's interior is cozy and gorgeous. It's the best thing about this place. Service was friendly and welcoming. We were surprised to find that they didn't have some regular espresso-based drinks, like lattes or flat whites. They had their own drink creations, which I appreciated, but it was unusual that they didn't offer the basics. I got a matcha latte which tasted mostly like almond milk, and my husband, who normally orders flat whites, had to get one of their specialty drinks, which was way too sweet for him. He also ordered a breakfast item which he didn't enjoy. I may try this place again when they're more established. read more

I live in Santa Monica and was really looking forward to trying this new coffee place. I saw posts on social media and was impressed by the cozy vibes. The customer service was excellent, but the coffee itself was just ok. I'm paying $8 for a cup of coffee; it better be good than the one I have at home. First, I tried a pumpkin iced coffee, which was too sweet for me, so I asked the barista to make me a new one, which was the golden hour. It was ok, but nothing special, nothing I hadn't tried before at any other coffee shop. The location is a few minutes from Costco, which was very convenient since I had to do a Costco run that morning. Vibes and atmosphere: Quiet, Cozy, chairs, couches, tables. Cozy little study spot in the more residential area of Marina/Venice. Place was easy to find but only street parking available. Overall I think it's a cool spot with great decor. I got the pumpkin coffee and honestly it was a little overpriced for the quality. They do serve alcohol after 5pm so maybe this is better as a bar spot with friends. Stopped by on a Sunday morning. Ordered a pour over, iced oat vanilla latte and a breakfast quesadilla. Everything was just okay, but also overpriced. Typically I'd expect the pour over to be served in a warm cup (e.g., warmed with hot water) but it wasn't. We parked on the street, it's next to an apartment though so you may be able to park in their garage. Definitely a cozy space, but for the price and quality, I'd rather go somewhere else for coffee. Might be back to check out the wine bar though. read more

Love this cute coffee shop/bar in MDR Arts District!! Very convenient fully automated parking structure that is very reasonably priced. Very nice ambiance. Employees are very friendly and helpful with menu perusal/make choices. Short stack coffee drink is a fantastic ''treat'' as it's quite sweet but with nice balance of cardamom spice and espresso notes. The Heavenly Matcha is truly heavenly. Perfect amount of earthiness but sweetness and matcha is very good quality. Don't sleep on their pastries or food options. Pan au chocolat is fantastic. They have a pressed sando which is definitely giving good Cubano sandwich vibes. Definitely glad to have Noun here and excited to come back! read more

The vibes and interior design here are soooo cozy and cute, great for lounging, yapping, or getting work done. It's spacious but parking is only street parking (which there's not a lot) if you plan on staying longer. The drinks were decent! I rarely give bad reviews but I've been to this place three times and every time I am extremely unhappy with my experience. First time I tried Matcha latte and it was very much water down; second time. I tried their iced latte, which wasn't good either; I gave it a third shot with coffee and pastries, but unfortunately, this place is not hood for their food or drinks, you can only come here for the interiors. Went there for a quick bite and drink. Nothing special after their cheese quesadillas. Too greasy in my opinion and over priced for that quality. I liked the yuzu drink but not worth the price. But you are in MDR so of course it's higher . Nice cozy coffee place. They don't have any pastries if you're in the mood for it. First impression on Noun Cafe was it gave me that artsy and contemporary co-working space vibe. Lo-fi background music, aesthetic design, with plenty of seats occupying various needs. Cozy couches for those who just hanged and chill, bigger group table that could accommodate people meeting-up or even working/studying together, and individual table for whom working on their own. This space used to be occupied by another coffee shop, which only opened until early afternoon so I was so excited knowing a brand new cafe now took it over and opened until pretty late in the evening every weekends. Seeing the vibe energized me even more especially having its location being so close to me, so I could easily hopped there when I fancied ambiance change and got fed up with my home working desk. They did offer plenty of food options throughout the day, various options of tea and coffee based drinks, and even alcoholic drinks since they did sell themselves as coffee and wine spot. Soaking under the sun watching the Glencoe traffic was another choice offered and the space was nicely well-shaded. I got 'The Usual', which was their version of Iced Vanilla Latte, served with house-made vanilla syrup. Selling their in-house blend as well, they offered stellar medium-bodied coffee and I fell for their vanilla syrup which came as perfect pair to the coffee. With plenty of seats available and speedy service, the place doubltlessly made it to my regular to-go list now. read more

I've been here twice on my way to work and both times I thought their coffee and matcha program was laughable. The most mediocre watered down & sweet drinks. No espresso machine in sight either, so I opted for their Matcha Heaven this time and it just tasted like watered down oat milk - mind you this drink has a matcha cloud as well, which is where most of the matcha flavor is coming from (yikes!) I also ordered a pastry--their homemade banana bread pudding. It was disgustingly dry I mean that bread was PARCHEDDDDDDDDDDD it need sum MILK!!! No flavor either. Just tasted like regular sourdough bread. I believe this was $8, and while a good heavy portion, save yourself the money. The only saving grace here is their warm indoor atmosphere and their employees who are very kind. Also, the outdoor seating area and overall feel of the street makes you feel like you're at a hospital or Irvine. This isn't a coffee shop -- this is more of a co working space for all the offices and corporate apartment complexes on their street. And it feels like it is ran like it too. read more

The vibe is cozy and the couches are soooo comfortable, and it's one of my go-to spots to get work done without feeling rushed also I feel like it would be a great date spot too. The drinks are creative - the Fridge Cigarette is so good and strong lol. I also love the little things they sell on the side -- olive oil, cute knickknacks, random finds perfect for gifting. I really wanted to like it here... Going to a neighborhood coffee shop, I expect good service, good food/drinks, & consistency. Sadly the customer service is lacking, their food menu changes constantly, &the drinks are mid. Last time I came, they weren't busy and we decided to try a new food item. We finished our drinks and after some time passed, went up to the server to check on our food. They were talking to eachother so I politely waited. It's an open kitchen so i knew they could see me and figured they wouldn't leave me hanging... After an uncomfortable amount of time, I interrupted their convo & asked if they already started on the food. He acted annoyed and told me it was already being made. Like I said, they have an open kitchen so it's easy to see what's going on... clearly nothing was being made. I stopped by Noun since I live nearby and used to frequent this spot when it was Ten Cafe, where the coffee was consistently excellent. The new décor is beautiful -- I'd easily give five stars for the atmosphere. The staff was also friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the coffee itself was extremely disappointing. I ordered a pour-over, and when it arrived it was so light in color it looked like tea. The taste was even more concerning -- it reminded me of running water through a Keurig to clean it out. I drink my coffee black, so there was nothing masking the flavor. I tried to power through it while playing cards with my son, but I simply couldn't finish it. I went back to the counter and explained that it didn't taste like coffee at all. I asked if they had espresso, and when told yes, I ordered a double espresso with a little hot water on the side so I could make my own Americano. I watched the shot being pulled and it appeared to be a single, despite ordering a double. The color and extraction didn't look right for espresso. Then a very large amount of water was poured over it, completely diluting it. When I mentioned that it seemed like there might not be enough coffee being used, the barista simply said, "That's how we make it." For a shop that promotes itself as being "focused on premium coffee by day," the execution just isn't there. Premium coffee isn't just about décor and branding -- it's about proper extraction, correct ratios, quality equipment, and properly trained baristas. If you're going to position yourselves as a premium coffee shop, invest in equipment that reflects that standard -- machines like the La Marzocco Linea PB, Nuova Simonelli Aurelia Wave, or Victoria Arduino Black Eagle. These are respected Italian espresso machines known for precise temperature stability, multi-boiler systems, durability, and consistent extraction. Just as important, hire (or train) someone who truly understands how to dial them in and use them properly. Great machines only perform as well as the people operating them. At over $6 plus tax for a pour-over (and leaving a $1 tip), I expect something that tastes better than a basic $2 drip down the street. I truly hope they refine their brewing standards, because the space, location, and atmosphere deserve coffee that matches the aesthetic. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find this cozy coffee shop in Marina Del Rey just a short drive from the nearby Costco. I had the Gold Rush latte (espresso, dulce, autumnal spices) and Cachapa (a Venezuelan sweet corn pancake stuffed with a hard cheese; their version has whipped cream and lime zest on top) - both of which I thought were delicious. This place is perfect to lounge with your partner and puppy or catch up on work on a laptop. There are a couple of reviews regarding poor service that I did not personally experience. I agree that the cost is slightly high but not much different than other comparable independent coffee shops in LA. Street parking only. read more

We also shared the bean and cheese burrito (yummmmm) The ambiance alone is like something I've never seen before. Noun gained a new regular today. I had been meaning to check it out for a few weeks and plan to make it a regular spot. The setting is comfortable, cool, clean with a variety of couches, tables, and chairs to accommodate any type of patron. You could set up shop to get a few hours of work done, or cozy in with a book. Upon entry, I was greeted immediately with friendly service who walked me through their coffee drinks based on what I was looking for. I landed on "the usual." The espresso dulce adds the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering the drink. I subbed for almond milk, which actually added a nutty flavor that I enjoyed. There are couches for comfortable seating and tables (albeit with rock-hard chairs) for working. There is also plenty of outside seating. 2. Fast and functional WiFi. 3. There is street and lot parking. 4. Since you are paying tax "for here" / dine-in, they do serve their drinks in glassware. Now some cons: 1. The coffee is extremely acidic. For those of you who insist on loving sour coffee, I hope this one's for you. The coffee is simply not good, no matter the syrup or add-ons. 2. The baristas will refuse to make simple cafe classics. They insist on keeping to the menu, and "cannot" make a cappuccino without adding on their pre-batched sweeteners and custom menu items ($$$). read more

Cute neighborhood spot to work and socialize. Tried it out today since it's closer than Zinque. Love the relaxed vibe and the mixed seating options, the WiFi was also good. Some of the cons include: tough to find parking, no sugar-free syrups for coffee or matcha drinks, the AC was blasting on a chilly day and the music wasn't to my personal taste (70's and not in a good way).
