    Downspouts used as strapping point.
    Johnny C.

This is the worst example of a home improvement store. I can't speak to all Home Depot cause I actually like the Corvallis store and used to use it almost daily as it's 4 minutes from my job. Recently, I was doing some siding and minor remodeling. I purchased some plywood, siding, gutter down spouts, and windows online because I don't have access to a truck. The gutters were strapped in the dumbest way possible and were dented severely from that strap job. Called to have them exchanged as I had windows being delivered later in the week. Spoke to the help desk, and they were not at all helpful. Then I spoke to a manager, and he said they were out of stock(lie). Went back and forth via email to get a jobsite pick up, and the emails were 1.5 days apart. When I did get an email, I was told that I was refunded so they couldn't do a jobsite pick up. This wasn't what I wanted or was it communicated to me that this was happening. They did this so they could get out of fixing their mistake. Called the next day, and they hadn't refunded me like they said they had, and I asked if they had any 10ft downspouts in stock and they had 16. He checked, and they weren't damaged like the manager stated just a day before. Listen, HD is great for somethings, but the Albany store is full of liars, and they obviously don't take pride in their store. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate in hopes that whoever is in charge is either fired or reprimanded. Judging from the reviews, this isn't a new issue. The damaged items weren't that big of a deal. The lying and run around was.

Picture included: If I could give NO stars, this would be the rating. Purchased ALL new appliances and was delivered a dented washer and a very badly dented refrigerator. I paid for installation. I had sold my old refrigerator and purchased new coolers for temporary storage while waiting for new refrigerator. There was no way I would except a discount with this damage and insisted on another refrigerator. The delivery people said they would have to order a new one and there wasn't any in stock. They weren't even going to leave the damaged refrigerator so we had SOMETHING to keep our food in. After calls and complaining, they FINALLY left this damaged refrigerator as a loaner. Also, paid for installation and they said, "We will not install twice," and that we had a "choice of having the damaged loaner to be installed or the next one." As if we expected two deliveries. My husband had to install this loaner with a bad back which was why I paid for the installation in the first place. After calling the manager of Home Depot, they said because we excepted the damaged refrigerator this was considered ours. After more complaining, the appliance manager had to fight with GE to get us what we ordered. (Emily was actually helpful and a night staff Dave was helpful. Whoever Jill was, she should be stocking and out of customer distance.) Now have to wait 3 weeks for a new delivery and take another day off. I will NEVER buy from Home Depot ever again. UNLESS... adjustments/compensation are made, editing/adjusting my review will be pending.

We scheduled their service guy well in advance but got no notice until the last minute when he was at the wrong address and upset. We stopped at their location in Newberg and gave them photo of the washer info 5 days prior. The service tech (Wendell) showed up with preconceived idea of what was wrong despite even the error code on the machine. Did little to no investigation except saying the machine was over 5 years old, we needed to "junk" it, and to go their shop and buy a new Speed Queen. Totally torched any other product including our Maytag (which they sell). He did no investigative work and walked out. My step son looked on the internet and found the exact problem...unplug and let it re-set. Its now been 2 days since and numerous loads (after a week without a washer) with it working fine. Wendy (the Owner) called my wife today and admitted that their service guy "lacks communication skills". We also have a email from their sales person saying the same thing. It appeared to us he only wanted a show up fee and to sell us a new machine. And they marked us as "out of the area" on the service call even though we are only 2 miles from their business. I hate putting down a local business but I'd avoid this company even if it means going to the big box companies.

My old dishwasher was still working, but was making a lot of noise and was slowly dying. I removed my old dishwasher last night and had it sitting in my kitchen ready to be hauled away. At 8:15 am they called me and told me they accidentally sold my dishwasher to another customer, and now the don't have anymore. They apologized and said they might be able to deliver different in stock model soon if I wanted to change my order. I asked if soon, meant today. The sales person said probably not. We drove to their store, and looked at the other comparable dishwashers, but they all had features my wife did not like. So we asked how long to get another one of same model we had ordered. They said 1.5 to 2 weeks. I said, that since I didnt want to go 2 weeks without a dishwasher, I would have to re-install my old dying dishwasher and then remove it again in 2 weeks. What a PITA. I then asked for free delivery, install and haul away, since their F'up was costing a lot time and effort. The salesperson went to see if management would okay this request. Management did not. The best they would do was knock about $100 off their fees. I then canceled the order, and ordered from HD. With delivery and haul away included, it was about $60 less than Stover. Plus I could get it in 3 days. So, we got the model we wanted for less money and a much sooner delivery. So I'm not impressed with Stover's customer service, or really doing anything helpful after such a monumental F'up. I was specifically going with a local business because I thought they would have better customer service. I am very disappointed.

They refused to bring me a washer that was functioning properly unless I made a payment. Forced me to pay for a broken washer! Then. 2 months later, They brought me the working washer! Yay right?! Nope. This washer was full of GERMAN COCKROACHES. MIND YOU. I have never seen one roach in my apartment. We have annual inspections that help us watch out of bugs like that. Our apartment is clean! They forced me to pay for that ROACH washer before they brought me one which took 3 weeks and that's 3 weeks with no washer for my family of 4 Then we lost our job and they took our washers after only 2 months of missing a payment. They refused to leave them and told us we had to pay the entire remaining balance before they bring them back to us! Mind you that will be another 2 weeks before we even get a chance to wash our laundry now! I had purchased a lock, only to discover when I opened it that it had been previously used and the keys were missing. I completed the customer survey, gave my honest feedback, and mentioned that I would be returning to the store since I had driven an hour and a half. When I arrived, the first associate I spoke with, Daisy, immediately asked if I had spoken with her manager because they had already seen my survey and were expecting me. She was kind and made me feel welcomed. Assistant Manager Robert sincerely apologized and asked me to pick out another lock while they took care of everything. Before I even made it down the aisle, I heard someone calling, " Ma'am!" I turned around, and it was Ben, the Store Manager. He introduced himself, personally apologized, and told me that my experience was unacceptable. What impressed me most was not the replacement lock--it was that he treated me like a person. Ben had read my survey, informed his staff to watch for my arrival, and personally wanted to apologize. We had a genuine conversation, not just a business transaction. He acknowledged the inconvenience of my hour-and-a-half drive back to the store, walked with me to customer service, and made sure everything was handled. I received a full refund for the original lock, and Ben only charged me one dollar for the new lock I selected. While that gesture was incredibly generous, this experience was never about the money. It was about the kindness, empathy, respect, and genuine human connection he showed me. In a world where it is easy to complain when things go wrong, it is just as important to recognize people who go above and beyond to make things right. Thank you, Daisy, Robert, and especially Ben, for reminding me what true customer service looks like. Lowe's is fortunate to have leaders and employees like you representing the company. I hope this recognition reaches the district and corporate level because this team deserves to be celebrated.

We contacted Kelly's to see if they at least had a leveling bolt we could get / purchase and were told that the person who installed the unit would contact us, which never happened. Ultimately we got a leveling bolt for free from a local appliance repair store (thank you) and fixed the dishwasher ourselves, but we had to buy two sprayer blades and deal with a leaking /overflowing dishwasher due to their bad installation job.

I ordered a professional range 2 months ago, and today was the fourth delivery attempt--which I ultimately declined and requested a refund. Four separate delivery days where I planned my day around and cancelled plans because of delivery. It takes A LOT for me to write a bad review. I am absolutely baffled by the level of incompetence from the sales team at Kelly's. I would never recommend buying from them. If your appliance arrives in perfect condition, consider yourself lucky--you do not want to deal with this company if anything goes wrong. I still have not received a single unprompted phone call. Delivery Attempt #1: The stove arrived and when the protective tape was pulled off, it left residue everywhere and the stainless steel looked damaged. I declined delivery. Frustrating but understand it's no one's fault. However, one of the delivery people and our sales person implied that we should just give it a little elbow grease ourselves. We paid several thousand dollars for a new stove, I think that is unreasonable to tell a customer to do that. It was taken back to the store, where the sales staff supposedly "cleaned" it. No call from our salesperson to schedule new delivery. Delivery Attempt #2: The following week, they attempted delivery again. It still wasn't in acceptable condition, so I declined it again. Our sales person was not friendly and acted like we were being unreasonable. I ordered a brand new stove so I think it's pretty reasonable to want in perfect condition upon arrival. So they then ordered a completely new stove. Again, no one called me about a timeline or delivery. Delivery Attempt #3: My delivery window was 11:45-3:45, but they didn't show up until 6:30 PM. I received zero communication--I had to call repeatedly just to get updates on arrival time. I have a toddler and a stove I couldn't use because they kept saying they were arriving any minute. The new stove arrived with the exact same tape issue. Frustrated, I begrudgingly allowed them to bring the stove inside with the promise that a cleaning crew would come the next week-- still not convinced that they would be able to get it cleaned, but so frustrated that I had been sitting at home for hours waiting and wanted to just get it done. The installers pulled out my old stove, brought the new one in, and after working through dinnertime, bathtime, and bedtime for my toddler, they informed me at 8:30 PM that they couldn't install it because they didn't have the correct fittings. This was the first time anyone mentioned a professional installer. Again, communication has been nonexistent the entire time aside from automated delivery confirmations. Since I couldn't be without a stove with a toddler, they had to bring back my old stove and reinstall. They left our home at 9:00 PM--from a window that was supposed to end at 3:45 PM. After going back and forth with the manager, we finally arranged a professional delivery team for the following week. Delivery Attempt #4 (Today): Yet again, the stove arrived in unacceptable condition despite attempts to clean it. The installer tried to clean it and even he agreed the stainless steel looked permanently damaged. At this point, I requested a full refund. Throughout this entire ordeal, not once did anyone from Kelly's reach out to us--no updates, no apologies, no communication at all. They issued a refund but still no call. Every single time, we had to call them. I wasted four days sitting waiting for this range, clearing out a path for delivery and canceling plans. The only positive part of this experience was the delivery crews themselves. They were polite and did the best they could with the situation they were given. Jose, Chris L, Lander and Chris H were awesome and understanding of our frustrations. The professional installer that came today (I believe his name was Gary) was also very professional and friendly.
