Everyone warned me about Home Depot customer service & to not contract them for any of my household projects and yet I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I payed 50 dollars to have them come out to measure a DOOR FRAME to install French doors in my home. The guy who does this wanted to do it on his own terms apparently because we scheduled a day and time frame, yet he decided to come out at 8am when no one was home and not 2-5pm as scheduled. Spoke with the manager, said we would get a call back and never did. It took over a WEEK to be able to get an appointment to have a DOOR WAY MEASURED. If it's this much trouble getting a door measured I can't imagine getting it installed. I want my 50 bucks back and taking my business somewhere else. Also, many of the employees who work at this location are just not good at their job. If I try to ask them a question they're like deer in headlights or avoid eye contact like the plague. Of course, to those who have come up to me, and asked me if I need assistance... thank you. Of the 100's of times I've been there, thank you to those 3 people. read more

WARNING: Do not arrange for any door/window installs through Home Depot. Great prices, but complete incompetence in getting necessary peices/delivery schedules. Tried to get a Patio Door ordered and installed. Multiple "glitches" and over-promising about deliveries, only to find out "the truck isn't working." Home Depot Associate lied to me about terms of the credit contract and period of zero interest financing available. Will never use again. Used to go in for the military discount, but 100% Lowe's and Orchard Supply from now on. read more

Do not understand the 3 star rating at the moment with this home depot , I go to home depot through out southern California for projects , This one is my favorite , ( all home depot online order and inventory are off from my experience , so there's not much you can complaint with that, same goes to target and walmart , they are worst ) the only reason I'm happy with this home depot is because it's always clean and organized everywhere through out the store and every single staff here are SuPer friendly and happy to be there, with some knowledge and knows where things are( even though I use their app mostly to find everything most of the time ) . 5 Stars for the Home Depot itself. 2 Stars for the service. I called in a few weeks back with some questions regarding a door I wanted to purchase that I had seen online. I was transferred from department to department about 5 times, until I was bounced back to the operator. She was transferring me again, so I hung up as I was on hold. That day, I went in live to the Home Depot in Yorba Linda where I received excellent service. A few days later I went to this Home Depot, and there seemed to be a lack of personnel to assist you. Not that they were bad people, they were just no people! A few days later another project lead me back to this Home Depot, and I experienced the same thing. No one in sight for aisles and aisles :P We needed some wood cut, and finally had to go to the paint station to ask who can assist us. He pointed another way, where we found another employee. He pointed 2 aisles down and said that guy will help us. By the time we could catch up to the other guy, he was halfway down the store heading away from us etc. And on and on it went. Another funny thing is during my visit, employees were receiving calls transferring customers on round and about, just like I had experienced over the phone. Please, get your customer service together. Otherwise, no complaints on the products. read more

Ordered a refrigerator last Saturday. It arrived on Wednesday with a huge dent on the side panel and front door. Sent it back. Arrives again today with a bigger dent on the front door. Called Home Depot and they could not even apologize for the inconvenience. They transferred me around and then hung up on me. When I asked the girl why she could not apologize for the inconvenience she said it was because it was not her fault. She needs customer service skills 101. I've had really poor and racist experiences at this location in the last 1 year (at one point I overheard the employees ridiculing me in the next aisle over where the PVC pipes are located...called them out obviously). I swore I would I never go back. Unfortunately I had an emergency Saturday night, so I went. There was a guy overseeing the checkout area, Johnny, who was very knowledgeable and radiated good energy. This Home Depot is the worst when it comes to the garden department! The aisles are so full of plants you cannot have two people going in different directions, there is no room to pass. They have the worst people watering, the hose is in everyone's way, getting tangled in people's carts it is almost comical to watch! I was told they have to water on the schedule the state has set whatever! I now go to the a Fullerton location much better lay out and employees much better with customer service. read more

I wasted nearly 40 minutes waiting for someone from electrical to help me. I was looking to purchase a total of 22 LED bulbs. I asked 3 times for help to no avail. Customer service had 5-6 people just hanging around with 3 employees tending to 1 box. At no time did anyone make an effort to help. When I asked for the manager, the manager never picked up the call, returned the call, or came up to check on the problem. I guess the employees are simply following leadership style/example. Jorge helped me with sinks today and he was so nice and so helpful. It was so refreshing to feel comfortable asking someone questions, feel their honesty, and to feel like they care and will spend as much time with me as I need. Jorge was very sweet and even went to get a cart to load the sinks up for me. Another shorter gentleman helped me load a toilet into my car that was way too big. He spent a lot of time with me contorting the box until it fit. The check out guys were very friendly too. I will be back to this Home Depot, even though it's very far out of my way. read more

Was there this evening with my 3 year old. had a dog and dog owner walk around the corner while getting a hose and the dog start barking at my 3 year old and I. Scared the poop out of me, didn't expect a dog to be in the store let alone start barking. Dog owner didn't seem to think it was a problem, either way made for a poor experience. read more

Went in to pick up some aluminum wire, figured it wouldn't take too long. Stood in the Electrical aisle in front of said wire for over half an hour while people called over the PA system for someone named Trevor to assist me. First of all, why is there only one person working in Electrical who is able to cut wire for customers? Second, if Trevor was the only person who can do that, what was he doing for half an hour that he couldn't spend like, five minutes to cut some wire? Homeboy better have had some explosive diarrhea or SOMETHING. Ended up walking out empty handed. What a waste of time. read more

This review is for the garden center only, I cannot speak to the other sections. I don't normally review large chains unless they exceed my expectations in some way and this one did. We went in to get a snake plant and learned that they are apparently pretty popular. After looking where I assumed they were (the greenhouse and I was wrong), we regretted sending away one of the employees. We dreaded the experience of that one commercial of having to "find a guy." I struck out with one of the younger employees in the outdoor plant center (who looked like this was a summer job she could care less for), but another employee who waters the plants noticed and asked if he could be of any help. We went to the section he thought the plants were, but alas, they also were not outside. He went and found the greenhouse guy for me and the two of them searched the indoor area but to no avail... so it seemed. So after they informed me when the next shipment would come in and I had resigned to the fate of having to settle for another indoor plant and I returned to the greenhouse to check out the peace lilies. They came back five minutes later, appeared relieved that I was still there, and presented me a small snake plant that had been hiding between two taller plants with a big smile! They truly went above and beyond for a snake plant. read more

Today I needed to buy all the materials to construct a 6' outdoor plant stand. I arrived arount 12:30 pm and the store was really busy. I picked out my stain, drop cloth, and brush. Then I went to the tools department to find the right screws and was immediately helped by a young man (darn I didn't get his name but he wore a black hat!). He took me to the wood screws area and handed me a pack of screws with the drill tip included! Then I went to the pro desk where a young lady found Mark, the man who would cut the wood I needed for the project. I was so impressed with Mark, every question I asked about selecting the wood for me (yes he chose the best possible and explained why) to the stain I chose, Mark knew the answer. I needed another product I didn't know much about and Mark provided 2 options and explained the difference.Then Mark cut the wood to my exact dimensions and loaded everything into a cart for easy transport. If this isn't great customer service.....then I don't know what is. I extend a great big thank you to Mark and the other employees who went above and beyond today. I love this Home Depot! read more

Hubby called pro desk this morning to place a lumber order for delivery. After being on hold for 30 minutes before a live agent got on the line, then spending an additional 30 minutes trying to place the order with a gal who wasn't able to find most of what he wanted to order (which he physically saw in the warehouse the evening before so he knew it was available) demonstrating she really wasn't qualified to be on the pro desk order line, he gave up trying to place the order. I came to Home Depot a few days ago to get some electrical parts for my small business that is thankfully open during this shut down. I was helped by a very friendly eager young man in the electrical dept. upon getting to my car my husband had called, I got the wrong part. I quickly came back into the store and I was able to find the same helpful young man, he got me what I needed promptly. After I left I realized I rang the bell for good service but I really should've gotten the young mans name, he deserved a great review. To my delight when I went back today, he was the greeter at the door! His name is Trevor from the electrical dept. Great job Home Depot for hiring a great kid! Give that boy a raise! I was in the store today with employees arguing and swearing at each other. Everytime I go into this store half the aisle I need stuff on are closed with nobody working or I get kicked out of the aisle so they can work. Today I was online at a register and asked to go to another register because they were closing so they could do a credit card setup for the person in front of me. The register I went to closed and I had to go elsewhere. I can never get help at this store and when someone can help me they don't know what I'm talking about or can't help me and I end up wasting my time! read more

I counted one employee as I walked the aisles looking for help. Then to cap it off I asked for change from the cashier after I checked out and got cash back and was told no I can't do that. They have a huge selection of tools for things you want to fix up yourself at home. They also have many different fixtures of various types you can browse if you are looking to update a room. They have everything from door knobs to lighting in a bathroom to faucets for sinks. Just looking at the fixtures gave me ideas I might want to upgrade in my house in the future. The service is great too, the cashiers are friendly and make small talk while they ring up your items. read more

I ran to Home Depot with my husband and left my wallet in the shopping cart. Went back 15 minutes later and luckily one of their honest employees turned it in! When I got there to inquire if anyone had turned it in I was treated very nice! I was offered a chair and a bottled water. The manager came out minutes later carrying my wallet! :) she said they even tried calling my work to notify them.
