I was out of town and placed an order online. For convenience I opted to have the order shipped to my home. I had an estimated delivery time of two days for the full order minus one extension cord that would be delayed. After paying an ungodly amount for shipping I waited. After two days part of my order showed up. I texted the help line to find out where the rest was. As with all farmed out support lines they were no help at all. I waited until the next day to call the store directly only to them find out that they said *I* was supposed to call them to have lumber delivered and on top of that there's no estimated time for the delivery I have to make myself available the whole day. NO WHERE and at no time was I told to call the store directly during my online purchase. I'm still waiting on my lumber, hopefully, it'll be here tomorrow. Ordered 5 doors to be installed. The vendor who comes out to measure lost our order to come out. Then when the did come out, the store said they couldn't see the measurements (even though the vendor said they would be visible in 3-4 hours from when the came to measure them). After waiting 5 days I spoke again with the store door specialist who said they still were not in. I found this odd and called on of the HD virtual specialist who found them right away and placed my order. Then when we got the doors, 3 of the 5 had major dings in the wood. One had orange scuffs from the cart so who knows if they came that way from the factory or were damaged while they were brought up to the front. The installer graciously communicated the damage to the store and said they would be sending out new doors. After waiting 10 days I called to check the status. The store said they did not place the order and would be contacting the vendor that day. I called for an update the next day and they still had not called the door vendor. I have spoke with managers and tried to resolve this before leaving a review. At this point, I feel the public should know to not deal with this location if you wish to receive and kind of customer service. At no time I have even received an apology. We bought a washer and dryer set in September. The dryer stopped heating up at the end of December. I called the Home Depot where we made the purchase. The woman who took my call was unhelpful, not even bothering to look up the order. She just said, "We do not fix things here, call the manufacturer.". She repeated this multiple times. While this may be standard procedure, I felt they could be decent: step up; do the right thing, and exchange the dryer for one that worked. Be sure to read what you are signing. They will not help you in the event something goes wrong. I never have left a review, but I felt exceptionally frustrated and unheard. We need to purchase other appliances, but we will go elsewhere. Worst place to use for a kitchen remodel. Its been a year sense they started the remodel and haven't finished. A lot of the things that where ordered where either damaged or not correct. Needless to say the cabinets are damaged. The intallers damaged the freshly painted walls, the light switch and the laminate flooring installed is covered in glue also no sink because the plumber can't put it together due to the counters not been done. Believe me they've been contacted several times and all they do is go back and forth via email and never have a solution nor do thwy have any information on when they will have things finished. I Q check on any isle please. I'm not sure who is running this whack a mole circus into the ground but who ever it is is doing an outstanding job of loosing card caring customers. Today's 2nd trip in 48 hours and FOUR phone calls later has confirmed that we will not finish our $21,000 worth of summer exterior projects with Home Depot. The frustration was not with just one idiot at the paint counter, but with the lighting department too. Day 2 of dealing with the paint manager and watching her basically rolling her eyes and acting as if we are not worth her time or her energy. Thanks Debbie for your demeaning and rude crappy way of dealing with customers. Were you really that threatened that we complimented one of the other store employees in the paint department so much after we complained about a second employee? It's funny that she didn't even bother to pretend to care about what we said nor did she even try to take care of the issue. I am going to go to Home Depot and fill out an employee complement form about the outstanding service we got from one employee because that person truly should be recognized for her outstanding customer service and help on day 1. Refused to be drained and treated by some shady used care salesman who is suppose to be a manager who fixes things. So remember YOU are the customer. THEY NEED YOU more then you need to be treated like trash. When I spoke to my nephew who manages a different Home Depot Store in another state he was not only horrified but pretty disgusted. He informed me that every Home depot associate has the authority to fix what he considered a minor problem. My head was spinning when he said nothing you have said should have EVER happened to any customer. And the last straw was he said that any cashier has automatic Authority to fix this most minor of issues. So Hamiltom Lumber will get all the money for lumber as well as all the siding for the garage, Lowe's will get the rest of the money for all the electrical and shed lighting plus the entire ground up bathroom suite. So when you treat paying customers like trash be prepared that you will be fired just like you should be for the shenanigans and nonsense of the last 48 hours. Shame on you for being judge mental and demeaning people for they way they dress. It is never okay to be rude snotty and arrogant. wish i could give them 0 stars. workers are so lazy!! i've done a drive up order several time and each time it takes them 30 min to an hour to bring out my pick up order, each time they've forgotten something or they lost half of my order. i ordered lumber this last time and they used me to get rid of there bode and broken lumber so i had to go in to exchange it and the manager was far from helpful with the exchange. they brought out my lumber and the girl just walked away, didn't even help me load it... thats part of your job!!! it's bad how lazy the workers are. a drive up order should not take over an hour. it's supposed to be quick and easy but they make it more of a hassle. no longer waiting my time doing a pick up when i could be in and out in 15 minutes... lowes is getting my service from here on out. read more

Paid for our cabinets in September (over $20,000) They arrived in our living room in January, where they sat for 3 months, floor to ceiling till they were installed in March. 4 cabinets were ordered wrong, no apology or here's what we can do. Just excuses. We ended up building rolling shelves and the missing shelves ourselves. It's been busy at this location even during the stay at home order, but everyone got time for projects so I get it. They had a stack left of deck boards and it needed to be dropped down. Two employees came, the woman was suggesting we come another time because they were too busy, they won't be able to get it down now. The other employee, Andre C. said he could take care of us but it'd take an hour because he has other tasks. We really didn't want drive another day in and out of town to come back, so were willing to wait the hour. Only, Andrew got his other tasks done and made sure we didn't have to wait too long which was less than an hour. He went above and beyond and made sure we were taken care of and not push us off to "come back another time because their too busy". He helped us load our cart up with 70 boards. Horrible would be a compliment. They advertised a carpeting promotion. Free tear-out and install on orders over $699. What they do not tell you how incompetent they are at each step. 1. You must order a measurement ($50). The measurement arm HDMS is its own department and a new level of incompetence. First I'm informed that they can only measure installation. But I paid for measurement of install and tear-out. He informed me he was too busy for that. 2. Second measurement guy measured the tear-out. But now I'm informed I had to return to Home Depot. I did. At this step I'm informed that there are now 2 job orders and I have to pay for both before they will order the carpet. I do this. This is the first time I'm told it will be 2-3 weeks to get the carpet. 3. Romanoff Flooring is the installers. Yet another level of absurdity. Finally after several calls we schedule the tear-out. I'm told I'll be called a day before to confirm. No call. When they do arrive. They won't do the tear-out. So again calls to Home Depot and again call Romanoff. Excuses and apologies. So now after dozens of calls, multiple trips to Home Depot and multiple conversations with Flooring coordinator and store manager... guess what? Still no tear-out, no carpet. A huge waste of time. At this HomeDepot, it felt like I was troubling them with my $2000 washer and dryer purchase. And when I called to confirm delivery, they couldn't find my order in their systems. The guy helping me simply muttered "I'll have to call you back" and hung up before I could even reply. Still haven't heard from him... If you are making regular purchases, this place is fine. Do NOT purchase flooring from this place. We purchased the flooring to be delivered to the store. The flooring came a week later than it was suppose to. Due to the late arrival, our floor guy has started another project and we had to wait until he was available again. My husband was at the store from 5:20-8:05 just to pick up the flooring. When he got home we realized we were missing 9 boxes. The only way I was able to get in touch with someone at this store was by calling the 800 customer service number. They finally called to tell me, I was wrong and that they gave us all the boxes we paid for when, in fact, they did not!!! They were not willing to purchase these boxes for us and did not give us our money back. So it looks like we can not finish our floors!!! read more

I ordered four windows through this Home Depot back in April of 2022 that were supposed to be installed in August 2022. I was contacted the day prior to be told one of the windows wasn't in and if I would be ok to reschedule. I told them that was fine with me. I asked for a new ETA on the windows and ended up paying for them in full during that same conversation because we had plans coming up to go out of town. I was instructed to call back in a week for an ETA. From August until January I had to call weekly asking for a status of our windows that I paid $5000 for and was ghosted over and over again. Finally, in January of 2023 they came out to install the windows but one of them was the wrong size. Luckily, we had ordered a larger window and the smaller one that came in fit. However, we were charged a fee to cut the wall into a bigger size and charged for a bigger window. The team who came and installed the window said to make sure we were reimbursed for the services not rendered and the difference in window size. So... I have been back to calling daily asking for refund. I have been met constantly with a lack of empathy- the Home Depot team going as far to insinuate I am lying about the windows. I have given them the name of the window installation company and the gentleman who installed the window who confirmed my story and even submitted a document explaining that the wrong size window was received and what is owed to us. I was finally told almost 2 weeks ago I would receive a refund via a gift card and that was all they are willing to do, and that they would contact me last week with the details. I have not received a call. I gave them a few days and am back to calling daily. It is absolutely horrendous the way we have been treated. I started this process almost a year ago and was told our windows would be installed before the winter (the winds were for my kids rooms which get very cold because the windows are ancient) and now, a year later, we are still battling this process. All I have ever asked for is to be reimbursed for a service that I didn't receive (the cutting of my wall- an egress charge) and the difference for the size of window. I had plans to order another round of windows this year from them along with a screen door and new backdoor, but I will NEVER order from them again after this is finished. When the oven was delivered they were hours late and didn't come until the evening. When they arrived they didn't care that they where bringing mud into my home they didn't even try to wipe their feet. Then they told me they wouldn't install because I had tile in the way. I said "no problem I'll just remove it" they said they won't wait. I said it will only take 10 mins they said "no"! I said "I waited hours you can wait 10 mins". They started to take the oven out of the house and leave, I got angry and said I paid for it you can't take it. They said they where going to call the police and I said please do! From Nancy in the paint department, who mixed several samples for us to try and gave good advice on primers and such, to Brian in the garden center who helped us find the right weed killer and something to clean the outside of the house with, to Lisa the cashier, who helped us get the best terms on our large purchases, everyone was great. Giving one star because I can't give 0. My Home Depot nightmare went as follows: My dad and I are redoing the floor in our home. My dad went in to do a material take off and found beautiful, quality snap together laminate for 49 cents/sq foot. He went back in THE NEXT DAY to purchase the flooring and it turns out it was on sale and the sale ended that day. This was not indicated anywhere. My dad works for Cleaner Guys, a company that does fire and flood restoration, and they are big clients of HD. They spend thousands of dollars there buying materials weekly. The staff members we spoke to "couldn't" do anything to help us so we ended up having to settle for another flooring. Well we get this flooring home and let it sit at 70 degrees for about a week. My dad starts laying it and it doesn't snap together. He has to alter it by cutting off the locking lip to get it to go together. The product is absolute garbage, crumbling apart as he taps it together. There is a growing pile of useless planks. Many of which came out of the package damaged. I went into Home Depot and spoke with customer service. They were super kind and understanding, offering a full refund if we return the flooring. I said that's awesome but we still need new flooring, any way we can get what we wanted at the sale price? The supervisor in customer service didn't think that would be a problem and instructed me to talk with someone in flooring. So I did. Her response was that we got what we paid for and there's nothing she can do. I said "my dad's company is a huge client for your store, and you're telling me there's nothing you can do? I don't believe that for one second. You sold us garbage flooring! You shouldn't sell a product that doesn't snap together like it's supposed to!" I asked if they can send someone out to install it because my dad is a professional and this is the worst material he has ever worked with. That was a no, we would have to pay them for it. All in all horrible customer service. We are stuck with this horrible product and have to spend SO much more time laying it than we should have to. Something should have been done to make this right. When i sat down to ask about a layout/price I was greeted with a condescending reply I needed to make an appointment and soonest they could see me was 2 weeks away. I can see 2 weeks for having cabinets shipped in but 2 weeks just to start the order??? I'll try Bellingham HD. I'd go to the other big box store if client didn't alredy have a HD account set up. So I can say do not buy flooring from here. Pergo is a great brand and I would use it again in a second but order from somewhere else. They lost two pallets of my flooring and had to reorder from pergo. My project took an additional 8 days while waiting for my reorder. Also they don't stock the tools to cut the flooring, i.e. a laminate cutter. Had to get that from Lowe's. The management was ok, received a small refund for my headache and the product had two full cases damaged when delivered to my house. The ordering process was a nightmare as the lady helping me had no clue how to do an online order. I will be using Lowe's from now on. read more

Update 8/30/17 - Oddly within just a couple of days of writing my Yelp review, someone finally followed up and phoned me regarding my numerous requests for assistance. This person actually knew what my issue was regarding the door (without me having to explain yet once again). He told me that the soonest he could come out would be yet another month, and scheduled the repair for noon 8/29/17. Yesterday I waited for the service person, then phoned the Home Depot service number which was provided to me, when it became evident that the service person was a no show. I was then told that they would contact the service company that they contract with, and give me a call back with an explanation. Needless to say, no one called me back, let alone the fact that I waited all day yesterday for a service person who never came, or the return phone call promised. Now it has been over 3 months that we have waited to have the door lock, which was broken upon install, to be replaced!! Still waiting........ We ordered two "Simonton" sliding glass patio doors on 4/25/17 from the Home Depot in Burlington, WA. We choose and the paid extra money for the Simonton brand as we valued the promise of a lifetime warranty described by our sales representative. We spent just shy of $4700 on 4/25/17 for two patio doors: one for our master bedroom and one for dining room. Both door were installed on 5/22/17. During the installation, our installer noted that both of the lock features on the door installed in the dining room were not working right (one gets stuck and the other doesn't work at all). He said that perhaps it will 'just work its way in', and to just give it some time to do so, albeit the door installed in the bedroom worked right immediately after installation. On 5/24/17, with both the door locks still not working on that particular door, I phoned the number on my receipt to request replacement of these locks. I was told that someone would get back to me. On 5/26/17, the installer phoned back and told me that I needed to practice to get the feel of how these locks work. I explained to him that the bedroom door has worked correctly from the time he installed it and I reminded him that during the installation, he noted as well that this particular lock is broken. He agreed and said that he did now remember this issue on that door, and told me he would order two new locks for the dining room door. On 6/15/17, I received a call from a woman who said her records indicate that both my doors had broken locks. I explained to her that it was only one door with both locks broken. She told me that no order had been placed for replacement locks, but she will do so for me that day. She told me that it would be two weeks before the locks would arrive. On 7/11/17, I received a call from a man who asked what the problem was, and he told me that no order had been placed for new locks, but he would do so that day, and will contact me again in two weeks. On 7/20/17, this same man phoned me again, and said he did not have the parts in his warehouse, so he would place an order that day for new locks, and please wait two weeks. At this point it is now 3 weeks, and I have heard nothing. I have now waited 2 months for this simple issue to be resolved. Therefore, I have no reason to believe that the Home Depot in Burlington, WA, will stand behind their products. We are incredibly frustrated with Home Depot, and would NOT recommend this store, especially with such a big purchase as this! read more

I would give this place a negative 5 star rating !!!!!! I tried 3 times going there before posting this and I thought maybe it was a bad day for employees. Everytime I went there I had to ask for help in locating an item after walking through the store before I ask for help and everytime the employee was so rude like it was the end of the world for them. The last and final straw I asked a employee where their birdbaths are located and trust me I had walked the entire store first before I dare to ask anyone. This guy wouldn't even look at me walked off and said to go order it online. I will never ever step in this place again. Home depot should take lowes employee training program where I ended up going each time due to the frustration which is a further drive. Lowes employees will take you to the item in question and are very friendly with smiles on their face and dont act and look like they absolutely hate their job (the two that actually looked at me). Home depot had lost a lot of money that I have happily gave to Lowes during my home remodel. read more
