This past Saturday, May 8, 2026, we were in the Carol Stream Home Depot looking for a cordless blower. After searching around for one we thought we might like we were approached by Ryan who works for Milwaukee Tool within the Home Depot Store. When we explained we wanted a light weight, quiet model he pointed us to a Ryobi model (the company that also makes Milwaukee tools) that seemed perfect for what we wanted and needed. He then explained that if we purchased the trimmer/edger we would also get the necessary battery and charger that would work with all three implements. To further help us make the purchase decision he opened the trimmer/edger and put it together which allowed my husband to really assess if it was going to work for him. At another point in the process, Jim, from electrical came over to lend a hand. This level of service was exceptional and will not be forgotten the next time we need to make hardware purchases!! My Home Depot truck rental experience was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I reserved a rental truck three weeks in advance at the Carol Stream, IL Home Depot. When I arrived to pick it up, I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled. No one could explain why, and I had received no phone call, email, or any other notification that my reservation no longer existed. The rental associate did everything they could to help, but they were just as confused as I was. They even told me this isn't an uncommon occurrence and that two other customers the day before had also been turned away after their reservations were mysteriously cancelled. That says this is a systemic problem, not an isolated mistake. The associate searched for another available truck and found one at the Downers Grove Home Depot. Before making the drive, I called that store myself and was told they had a truck available. After driving all the way there, I was met by employees who informed me they had misread the computer system and there was actually no truck available. I asked to speak with a manager. While he acknowledged my frustration, he also couldn't explain why my original reservation had been cancelled. After a lengthy discussion, the only solution offered was a truck that had been taken out of service because of a broken windshield wiper. Since I had no other option and urgently needed the truck, I accepted it. To the manager's credit, he reduced my rental charge by 50% for the 2.5-hour rental, and I appreciate that gesture. However, a discount doesn't fix the underlying issue. The most frustrating part is that Home Depot allows customers to reserve trucks weeks in advance, charges a reservation fee, and then apparently provides no guarantee whatsoever that the truck will actually be there. If reservations can simply disappear without notice, what is the purpose of making one? To make matters worse, the manager even suggested that perhaps I was supposed to do something after making the reservation to confirm it. I did exactly what Home Depot required--I made the reservation, received a confirmation number, and paid the reservation fee. There was nothing else I was instructed to do. My advice to anyone considering a Home Depot truck rental is simple: don't rely on the reservation. Even if you have a confirmation number and have paid the reservation fee, there is apparently no assurance that a truck will be available when you arrive. If you're moving or working on a project with a strict schedule, be prepared for the possibility that your reservation could be cancelled without warning and without explanation. This entire experience was frustrating, inconvenient, and completely avoidable. Home Depot needs to fix its reservation system or stop calling it a reservation in the first place. Subject: This Home Depot is a big cheater! I bought 2 two-gallon paint buckets with the correct lids for them. I forgot to bring my credit card so I paid cash for them. When I arrived home, I noticed that these were poorly made and the lids weren't light enough so I couldn't store paint there because it would harden since it wasn't air tight. I decided to return them sometime. Yesterday, I decided to return them, but I misplaced the receipt. I went to the Carol Stream HD to return it. Since I paid by cash and I had no receipt, HD just gave me a store credit for $8.62. I thought that that this was correct, but when I returned home, I found that they only gave me a penny for each of the lids and I found out from the HD website that each of the lids were $2.48 plus tax. I went back to the HD to complain about it. The CS rep said that I was only given a penny each because I had no receipt. They would only give it to me at their lowest price at a penny and she said that the cashier failed to tell me about it. I said that you were the same person who served me and I remember your face and how you look. I can't imagine how a large company like HD could cheat a customer of $5.36! This HD is a cheater and I would not go back there. I'd rather patronize Menards or ACE Hardware because they don't cheat and are more helpful to customers. One more thing, HD is expensive. Paint counter needs to get its act together. I came in for paint to paint a door and some shutters. There were 2 or 3 women working in Paint. I asked one which paint would be suitable. After trying to figure out which paint among many in the aisle, I had to go back so she could show me. I left with one gallon of exterior paint but no stirring sticks nor pouring spout as they used to provide. I also selected a 3M hand sander and 3M sanding sheets with her help. At home, I tried putting the 1/3 sheets onto the hand sander, but they are the exact size of the sander surface, no overhang to secure beneath the screwed-on holders. The sheets do not seem to be adhesive backed. How can a sales person not know which products go together? I have to go back and get a sander and paper which are compatible. And a stick. And tiny foam brushes. Sales people need to know their products and provide service. read more

We are planning to clean and plant our backyard garden. It have a lot of dress and some tall grass that need to trim. We have no tools or equipment to used , so me and my dad went to this store. They have lot of tools and equipment for gardening so I think we bought all of we need. I grab one cart before we went to the area of gardening tools. There are lot of people in some section so its hard to push the cart. When I looked at my dad I can see that he knows what he purchased. It seems that we need those. After we bought tools we wen to the pot area. There are lot of pot to choose. Some of them are colorful and some are simple. Since my dad knows that mom like the plain color he grabbed the white pot. After he put it in the cart we went to the counter. I can say that this store was good. read more

Edit: After I posted reviews, Home Depot did reach out to me and agreed to expedite the shipping of the carpet, which allows the missed portion to be installed in about a week. They also gave us a more significant discount on the carpet. We may still have to wait on the storm door installation (unless someone else cancels), but we appreciate these efforts to make things right. Original review: We decided to use Home Depot for carpet and storm door replacement in a property that we need to sell rather quickly. It turns out, this was a big mistake. My husband and I live out of state but drove to IL specifically for the carpet install on 7/15. Unfortunately, Home Depot failed to record correctly where we wanted carpet and so did not measure adequately, with the result that the installers did not have adequate carpet to finish the project. This means they will need to order more (which will take probably 5 days) and then schedule a new install time, for which we'll have to be present (or find someone who can be, which is tricky since they give you a two-hour window for when they will start). Again, we live out of state, so this is a major inconvenience. And we are needing to sell the property quickly; it was a rental that is no longer inhabited, so every week delayed is costing us a significant amount of money. This was their mistake, but they refuse to expedite the shipping of the carpet, claiming it is not possible (how could it not be possible?). In addition, we paid to have Home Depot install a storm door. When I spoke with salespeople on the phone about installing the storm door, it sounded like we probably would not need to be present for that (since it is on the exterior of the unit), and I was told that it usually took about 1 week to get it installed once measurements had been taken. This is why we decided to go ahead with using Home Depot -- again, we needed it in soon. However, both points they told me were false: We (or our representative, if we can find one) do have to be there for the installation, and the scheduler couldn't fit us in for installation until a full 2 weeks after he called us (which was already a couple days after the measure was taken). When I objected, the installation person was not very polite or helpful, either. I tried talking to a manager, who acted like he would try to fix it and referred my case to their customer service specialist. It turns out that his assurances were empty. When the customer service person called the next day, she did absolutely nothing to make this right. She apologized that I was upset, but not that Home Depot made mistakes and misled us. After I vigorously objected to the total lack of doing anything to make it right, she said she would talk to a manager about possibly giving us a small discount. As if that makes up for us having to wait additional weeks to get our property on the market... As if that makes up for my husband potentially having to drive down to IL again when I could go into labor with our first child any day now. I would have cancelled the orders, but we need the carpet to match what's already installed, and starting the storm door process over with another company would probably delay things further at this point. So, because of our vulnerable situation, we are stuck giving more money to a company that has already done significant harm to us. I will never shop at the Carol Stream Home Depot again and will avoid Home Depots in general; they made mistakes and misled us to get our money, but they refuse to expedite anything or to make any concessions (such as not requiring us to be present for installation: there is a realtor's box on the door, so access is not the issue). It may be that it isn't the customer service person's fault that she can't do more, but then Home Depot is poorly run, if they have no way to make things right when they make mistakes and say misleading things that harm financially vulnerable customers. I just dropped a chunk of change at this Home Depot, and my experience was pretty maddening. Again. TL; DR: The blind install department is extremely unhelpful and simply awful to work with. Employees in general should ask for help when struggling. ------------------------------- The new home I purchased was void of window treatments, so I used the measure ($50 and credited towards your purchase) + install ($150 fee) option Home Depot offers. After my window measurements were "in," we went to HD to select my blinds. I knew the exact style I wanted and settled on color a minute later. I'm not exaggerating, either: I'm a woman who knows what she wants. The whole process was SO INCREDIBLY SLOOOOW. The employee did not ask questions, offer suggestions, refer us to any samples or displays.. nothing. He gestured towards a rack of binders (with samples), and eventually sloooowly took one out. He could not answer questions about cost, or cost difference between brands and with different products. Completely unhelpful in every regard. I looked over the paperwork before I paid, and there were errors in both color of product (one grey colored blind, when every other color chosen for the windows was white) and with my address. I corrected him on both and thought everything was fixed, UNTIL I started getting emails and texts about expected shipping dates. It turns out my address was NOT fixed, and the orders were set to be delivered to the apartment I just vacated. Another employee (Jessica) had to cancel and re-run the entire order to fix it. She was helpful and answered a question I had about delivery and installation. After this debacle, I ordered a freezer to be delivered to my home since I was in need and the price point was attractive. (Another quick decision on my end.) The employee had the hardest time trying to get the correct promotional price to scan. Meanwhile, my very young kiddos were restless and tired from waiting so long for the blinds, and now we were all waiting on this freezer order. I wish the employee had asked someone for help and saved us all some time and aggravation. (He eventually got it.) I ended up getting a note in the mail regarding the freezer situation, which I thought was a bit redeeming. Very nice! Honestly, Lowe's is 5 minutes from my new house. Let me start by saying that I WAS a loyal Home Depot patron, but not anymore. I was so appalled with my treatment that I am done with them completely. I had spent hundreds if not thousands monthly at Home Depot but I'm cutting up my HD card and am heading for greener pastures elsewhere. On 05/12/21 I headed into Home Depot as any other morning to pick up supplies for my newly purchased home. This time however unlike most days I opened my safe to make change for a $100. Perfect time to pick up some plants to beautify my garden and make change for the tree removal company that had showed up that morning. I picked out a small tree and some flower bulbs in an effort to turn a $100 bill into smaller bills in order to pay the tree cutters an exact $50. I turn to the self checkout cash registers and ask the older woman if cash was accepted as most do not. She tells me that they do accept cash, so I go right ahead scanning my items. Insert my bill and it spits it out a few times. I turn the orientation and try a few more to no avail. I hail the woman working the self checkout and she inspects my bill and informs me that it doesn't feel real. Lmao. This woman doesn't look like she's ever seen a $100 bill, and I'm sorry for how pretentious that sounds but if you'd have seen her you'd understand. She asks if I have a different form of payment. Annoyed and needing change for my $100, I refuse. Still more annoyed I take my currency back and go to a human cash register (what I should have done in the first place). She calls over and sends someone over to essentially refuse it again. This much younger woman takes the bill and holds it up to observe the clear as day watermark. She probably looked at it for 30 seconds taking it all in. Again I doubt this woman has ever seen this version $100. Mind you no one has tried to use a counterfeit bill pen to test my clearly legitimate bill. This other woman remarks that the face looks off. (Hahahahaha) Clearly she's not familiar with Benjamin Franklin. At this point I'm done and take my money and leave. By the time I got to my car I decided that literally nothing was done for the CUSTOMER. and I had to go back. I go to customer service where the second woman shows up and glares at me. She doesn't help me but another woman from customer service hails the assistant manager. She takes one look at my bill and walked me to the register and had my items rang up. What a headache all before my first cup of coffee. I called back to speak to the assistant manager. I asked for the names of the employees that treated me so poorly and offered no solutions; only poor customer service. She informed me she would call me back but never did. I was inclined to give my review a little break but after she completely blew off following up with me I have to give my honest review. I do not recommend this Home Depot location. The employees are poorly trained. The cash register employees don't know their asses from a hole in the ground when it comes to identifying American currency, and to top it all off management doesn't follow up with customers' concerns. My Mother went into Home Depot to buy a microwave for me. We were on the phone together along with my son, listening to her talk to the associate. She was happily surprised when she saw the price tag of $298.00. As she was standing there, the associate took off the tags but didn't tell her the price was different. They were checking out, and she found out the price was $498.00. All 3 boxes had tags with the price of $298.00. Having been in customer service for years, I know that's not how it works. I love coming to get my paint here because the lady the works there is very knowledgeable in the paint department. She will tell you where to find a specific kind of paint, as well as what paint goes on what material. (You'd be surprised how many people are clueless as to what kind of paint to use) But she is there to help and makes the shopping experience smooth. Also. About the paint department. Home Depot will price match and beat that price by 10%! Now that is awesome! I had gone to buy my basement windows and the gentleman that works the windows department is such a sweet man. I've discovered the "buy online and pick up in store" option here. You avoid the check out line as well as dealing with the employees who don't really know where stuff is, but the pick up is not exactly smooth sailing. I used this option to get some packing boxes and packing tape. I got a text to go to their locker to pick it up. The text told me to go to the customer service desk where I waited my turn. Then they told me a code, then I had to walk over to the locker, punch in the code and get......just the tape! Next I had to walk back to the customer service desk, wait again and ask where my boxes were. They were conveniently located in the back with my name on them. ????? So, even this option can take awhile. Just go in and know that you can't get out of here fast. Deep breaths, flip flops and the "don't worry, be happy attitude" can keep you from blowing a gasket here. If you are a hardware store browser, have at it, but get the hell out of my way! This Home Depot has the most inventory. I go to a lot of Home Depot's in the suburbs and this one is always the most active. There are always people in every aisle to help you if you have any questions. I came to return a vanity cabinet and they accepted it with no hassle. I'm still a fan. Overall I think they are a better store than Menards (although I like shopping there too) and competitive with Lowe's.. Their return policy is excellent! Easier and better than Menards, that's for sure. We've purchased a very nice Thermatru fiberglass front door here and a big shed (From Tuff Shed) and the installations went well, pricing was very good. We also had them come out for quotes on wood windows, but their prices were fairly high and we purchased from a local guy (see review for Kornesczuk Windows and Doors) We are in here all the time for garden stuff and home projects. Yesterday (March 30) we stopped in for some garden stuff and were happily able to return some Christmas decorations.. no receipt, no problem. The one thing that I really knock them for are the relentless service providers that stand around trying to sell you their services. Good selection and inventory of products, terrible customer service. I came in looking for basement ceiling tile replacements. I found the section in the store only to realize they did not have what I was looking for. I approached 3 different people, showed them the picture of what I was looking for. All 3 responded they didn't know. I asked if they could be ordered and the response was "I don't know." I finally asked the 3rd person if they could direct me to someone who might know and he sent me to flooring. The flooring salesperson looked to be involved in a complicated order but I waited for 15 mins anyway. When he was still tied up, I approached a girl sitting at a desk near flooring and she turned me back and said "sorry I don't work in flooring." I just gave up and left the store. Not one person offered to try and get more information, locate the product or try and order it. It was just an "I don't know" and keep walking. I drove to Lowe's in Bloomingdale. They had the tiles and even offered to help load into my cart. Will not return here again. read more

Forget It If You Are Female Tool Rental & Pro Desk = -0% Store Managers (NOT Tool Rental Manager) = 100% I am a women contractor, Div 7, 8,10 who recently had power tools stolen, including the specific drill needed for a home project. I called Home Depot to reserve a drill, was told 2 were available & went to the store. Initially I was ignored by 2 Home Depot employees at the Tool Rental desk. When I finally got someone to talk to me, I was rudely interrogated as to why I wanted to rent a specific drill, what was I going to do with it, & what size drill & drill did I need ? I explained that I had called asking for the specific drill & was told that there were 2 available. The Tool Rental employee continued to rudely ask me the same questions & refused to show me the available drills. When I asked to speak to a manager, he brought a drill to the counter & told me that he was a manger. He then claimed that the drill only had 1 size drill bit available. I told him I'd buy the size needed & he said that I could not do that because the drill only took 1 size bit, & the store did not sell drill bits. I left the Tool Rental counter, went to Customer Service, spoke with a Store Manager & met a different Store Manager in the power tool aisle. The Tool Rental employee who had lied & refused to assist me approached the Store Manager to explain himself & to say that I was clueless. I told the Store Manager that I would not talk to the man from tool rental any further, that he was wasting my time & I had a job to finish that day. The Store Manger showed me where the correct drill bits were located, took me back to Tool Rental & assisted me in renting the drill. To compensate for my time, the Store Manger did not charge me for the drill bits & thanked me for my business. Even though the 2 Store Managers that helped me were professional & resolved the issue, it still took 45 minutes to rent 1 drill. If you are a female, I recommend ACE Hardware. read more

I will never shop from this store again. Even if they have a published low price, DONT BELIEVE IT. They do not honor their published policy regarding price match, NOR do they honor their veterans discount. I found this out first hand last night. I had an online chat with a representative where they told me they would price match a refrigerator on sale at Sears, as well as award the 10% military veteran discount. I wanted to make SURE I would get the veterans discount on top of a price match, otherwise i would have bought the item online from Sears. So, I printed out the exchange and brought my email, showed it to the associate and manager at the store, but STILL they refused to honor what their online company representative said they would honor. They would only match the price, not even price match - 10% veterans discount, WHICH IS THEIR PUBLISHED POLICY! I even showed them the printout from the website, but still they would only match Sears, no veterans discount which they proudly advertise. Why would I buy from them after being treated that way? I rarely go to home depot, as I much prefer Menards and Lowes, typically only going to HD for plants, but I was looking to replace a toilet quickly, and Menards was showing 2 months for special order, and HD was showing one week...they were the same price, but Menards had their 11% rebate going, so I called HD to see if they match, and they said yes, but had to come into store to place order... When I got to store, newbie associate (same one from phone) again confirmed they could do it...and with the help of more knowledgeable associate, he was able to get order entered...but they indicated I needed to go online to get rebate match...but since it sounded kind of vague, I had them go thru it with me on their computer....where it turned out it wouldn't work....apparently, it is not valid for online orders...despite the fact that it is for Menards.... Not happy of course after wasting time driving over, and sitting there while associate fumbled his way thru the order with frequent assistance..and answering a phone call....so I had him call Mgr (Rob) to see if they could do something, and again after another delay, Mgr "Rob" said they couldn't do it, citing that Menards offer is not valid online either...which it IS..nice to know store mgr doesn't even know competitors long running policies...so, long story short, I cancelled order and HD terrible customer service validated my avoidance of HD....which I recommend to everyone....unless you're looking for a plant and don't need any additional assistance.... read more

I went to HD in Carol Stream to get a price adjustment on a product purchased 2 days ago. The product manufacturer had dropped the price on the item at all retailers by 20% and HD had discontinued selling the product in-store, only on Homedepot.com. I thought it would be a straightforward request to get the price adjustment (all of $10) but had to get the store manager involved. They wanted me to return the item for a credit and re-order online at the reduced price. That has to be one of the most customer unfriendly situations I had seen lately. After 10 minutes they finally gave me the credit. If I am going to order something online I might as well use my Amazon account. read more

This Home Depot is pretty dumpy. I came in here one day & the place looked like it was closed down. I felt like I was in a Hardy Boys novel because the whole place as dimly lit & I was navigating around isles feeling like I was looking for a clue. It doesn't have that well of a selection especially compared to some of the other Home Depot stores. While the store itself is very big I was surprised to see that their selection was slacking. The workers here looked at me like I had poop all over my face when I was asking for help. No one wanted to show me where things were they just pointed me there. The bathroom here literally looked like some one was playing the drums with two hands full of poop all over it. To say it needed cleaning was an understatement. Overall the place was dimly lit, the service was not that good, the bathroom was filthy & the selection was not that great compared to other Home Depot stores. I judge a business not when they are selling you but what happens when there is a problem. I just had an issue returning an item at the Carol Stream il store. Customer service could not help me so I asked for the store manager. I explained my problem to John and he was concerned and listened intently. Don't use their flooring installer. Total rip-off, first thing they did was check all the floor with a level, then call their office. Got a call from the office telling me they needed to "grind" the floor to level it and this would cost $435. The total cost of the installation was $425. I called the store to complain and they reduced the "extra" to $200. I agreed to that and they processed to grind the floor area of about 10 square feet for all of 20 minutes. The floor was screwed down by my son. After the "grinding" the tops of the screws were barley touched, meaning they ground down about 1/32nd of an inch. Total rip- off artists. read more

Disclaimer: I used to be a Home Depot employee many years ago. But I am no longer employed or affiliated with the company in any way. I recently moved to a new house, an older one that needs a little TLC. So I've been going to this HD several times a day to pick up odds and ends I need to make repairs, installations and the like. Here are a list of my complaints: 1. Can't find an employee to help out. I'm not talking about showing me where something is, I'm talking about getting some basic advice, like why one product is better than another. I've also had employees give me the wrong product. 2. Not enough employees at the cash register. I've had to stand in long lines when they only had one register opened during the day. The guy who was being rung up had a huge cart full of stuff. Finally, one of the contractor check-out guys came and helped us out. 3. Products can be hard to find. They are not labeled well. And some products are placed in departments that make no sense at all. Ask an employee? See # 1 above. 4. They have these annoying "vendors" walking around the store, who look like employees. They ask if you need any help. If you do, they'll run all over the place trying to find a real employee. If not, they'll harass you about some special offer for new cabinets (for example). One lady followed me halfway down the store yapping away until I finally said I wasn't interested. HD is a big box store. They used to provide great customer service with knowledgable employees who took the time to help. Now they hire unexperienced workers who are under paid. Yeah they have a great selection, plus some. But I'd only go there if you know exactly what you're looking for. Don't count on getting a lot of help. This review is only for this specific location. So you may have better luck at other stores. read more

During a previous visit to this store, a sales associate advised me to buy what turned out to be the wrong primer / rollers causing me to lose time and money on a home paint project. My second visit to this store was to buy replacement equipment and to get advice on what paint or primer I should really be buying. That night, BEN in the paint department was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help me find what I needed. He took the time to LISTEN to my issue and not only helped me find the right paint, rollers and other supplies that made me work more efficiently, but took the time to look for deals and saved me money! He was genuine, patient, enthusiastic, funny, and knowledgeable. Everything is going so much better this time around. I would be completely screwed had it not been for his advice. I had to return a gas trimmer that wouldn't start. I owned since last summer and from the beginning it was not that reliable. I've owned a number of gas lawn products, sooner or later they give up. This Homelight trimmer was junk. I was expecting some push back from the store but I met Corre and Alicia when I walked in. Corre, I learned later was the store manager. Alicia was working the return desk. They had to be the most friendly people in retail I have ever met. They accepted the return, and I went and bought a more expensive item. Win/Win. Home Depot claims to price match however that's not entirely true. I tried to purchase a snowblower they have listed for $649.00 while a competitor had the exact same snowblower listed for $619.00. The store manager told me it was their policy to only price match against other competing big box chain stores. A local lawn, garden, & equipment store had the snowblower I was looking for for $30.00 less. I live in DuPage County and prefer to shop in DuPage County when possible (the competitor was in Cook County). Although it's always my preference to patronize the small independent business owner I prefer to not shop in Cook County if possible (higher taxes). The store manager let me walk out of the store over what was less than a 5% discount. They refused to price match against a small local retailer. I was buying top soil, garden rocks and sand. In all, 8 bags and very heavy. No one in the garden center asked if I wanted help. I paid and went to my car and started loading. Aanes, the cart attendant came over and asked if he could load the bags. What a really nice and polite young man. He could have ignored me as the people inside did and yet he didn't. We are going through a horrible time of our lives. We planned to change our counter tops, we thought we should go with professionals, home depot folks came and remove countertops and sink, it occurred in August, it supposes to be done within two weeks. We are living without countertops and kitchen sink! The customer service is horrible. They told us after one and a half month later that they do not have our chosen stone, so we chose another one. We are stuck! My husband has been calling them, they said they will tell us the date last Friday, nobody called, my husband called them yesterday, no response, he emailed today, no response. Online customer service is unhelpful. I ordered an expensive kitchen sink, hours later I decided on a different one and tried to cancel the first order. The guy on the phone said it was to soon, the order hadn't gone through yet, so I called the next morning. That person said it was too late to cancel, even though it hasn't even shipped yet! Do not use them for floor installations. We had a huge flooring project and thought going to a big box store would be easiest since we were removing all the flooring (carpet) and replacing it. Our plan was to use floating floor. We placed our order 5/5 and was told it would be about 2-3 weeks to finish it all. It's now 6/25 as I write this, and it's still not done. They kept finding issue after issue, and the cost of what needed to be done kept going up and up and up. So many things went wrong with their communication with us, it's hard to detail it all because there were so many things! 1. They removed our old carpet in early May, but didn't haul away the old carpet pad. They've been sitting in our living room for weeks. When I called, I was transferred multiple times. They said it was their subcontractor's fault; the subcontractor said it was Home Depot's. It's still sitting on our porch while Home Depot "figures out which installation crew will pick it up." 2. We were told anything we bought and didn't use would come and be picked up, and we'd receive a refund. We changed baseboard for part of our order and I called multiple times asking when it was going to be picked up. I was once transferred THREE times because no one knew who was going to get it! 3. Their installers once said that our carpet installers were coming between 9-11. I hightailed it from the city with my two young kids in tow to make it to the house. We waited, and waited, and waited. When they didn't arrive I called and they told me the window was actually 12-2 but they would get the installers over ASAP. They didn't show up until 1:50pm. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! We had them do 2 of the 3 jobs we originally contracted them for. (Carpet upstairs, sheet vinyl in finished basement). I called last week asking for a refund for the installation that has not been done with the hardwood flooring. They "initiated" that refund on 6/20. It's now 6/25 and they say that they're waiting on the subcontractor for the exact amount to refund us. We are owed over $2000 for work they have not done. It has been one big miscommunication after another with them, and this project has been changed so many times I've lost count. The ONLY person that knew anything was Kent, so, if after reading this you still decide to do flooring with them, ask for Kent. He's been the only person who knew anything about our project... seriously, I lost count of how many times I called about our flooring order, someone else answered, and said they only saw our countertop order. seriously? We spent about $10,000 with you and you can't find our order? You're better off buying just the materials here, or buying the materials at a local flooring shop, and getting a contractor to do the flooring work for you. Save your money, save your time, and save your sanity. read more

AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! I rented a carpet cleaner from here and had to return it because of the awful smell from leftover water inside the machine and because the machine was so heavy that I couldn't take it out of my car. I wasn't able to return the same day and called about 3 times to ask if I would be return the following day. When I couldn't reach anyone I decided to go back to the store which was a big inconvenience. When I arrived at the store, the cashier told me that he would not be able to refund because people usually come in say they didn't use the machine just to get their money back(basically calling me a liar). He asked where the machine was and if I had it with me, seriously? I already explained to him why I wasn't able to take it out of my car. I will not use this store again, the experience was beyond any experience I have ever had. read more
