My closest neighborhood home improvement store. My appreciation for this place went up when they added self checkout a couple of years ago. I'm the guy that is almost finished with a project and find I need one last small item. Ever wait 20 minutes in a long time just to buy one long metric screw? The service in store is hit and miss and they always seem to close down the aisle I need for restocking something. I find the service desk to be good to work with for returns or online ordering pickup. I have to big gripes about this store. They use about 15% of the parking lot (spaces closest to the exit) for rental equipment. I also don't care to be accosted for a new furnace the moment I come in the door. Speaking of rental equipment, I use to occasionally rent one of their trucks, but now they only have 1 and it never seems available. read more

The customer service is bad. Employees have been generally unhelpful each time we have been there but we continued to go since its location is convenient. One employee we encountered today was flat out rude and the whole interaction made me uncomfortable. At this point, the location doesn't make it worth going back. read more

I rarely leaves reviews, but our experience with Home Depot was SO BAD, that I am moved to write a cautionary tale. We ordered new kitchen appliances and their installation people had to come out FIVE times. Every time, they told us there was another obstacle to installing something. Now, our dishwasher still isn't installed properly and our microwave is sitting in our basement. On top of that, they are refusing to let us return the improperly installed dishwasher, so we have to keep it. If you have to buy anything from Home Depot, fine, but for the love of all things good, do not let them install it. Make friends with your handy neighbor. Watch a YouTube video. Overpay someone to do it. Just don't let Home Depot install. read more

This store's return policy is atrocious. I ordered online to get shipped to the store on 4/12/24 a PRIVATE BRAND UNBRANDED 5000 Lumens Handheld Flashlight 7.4-Volt 2500 mAh Rechargeable Replacement Battery yesterday. They don't have this in the store but, they sell the flashlight at the store. I charged it for a long period of time but the red charging light never turned green which means that the battery is fully charged. Letting me know that it was a defective device. It was so bad I had the battery off the charger all morning and the charging port remained hot never cooling off. When I tried to do an exchange today and get the same product the girl told me that I had to get my money charged back to my card. Then order and pay for the product again. It's not about money to me, it's about principles. If I could give this store no stars, which I'm going to try before giving one star that's the plan. This is very terrible customer service and the reason I hate ordering online. read more

I just needed some superglue today for a small repair. Parked and began to walk in the store when an employee who appeared to be on break outside asked me if he could help find something. Told me where the glue was and I knew where it was before even walking into the store. Didn't catch his name but he was older and wore a big brown coat. read more

Of all the Big Box home improvement stores I like Home Depot the best. In general I think they have a wider diversity of the same items in a smaller amount of space. That can be a double edged sword as they have it in all price ranges but they may not carry as many of each individual item. Their website does a pretty good job of matching in-store inventory. If they are low you can call ahead (like I did today) to confirm they have it in stock. I have found the employees at Home Depot to be more knowledgable and helpful than those at Lowes or Menards. I feel more confident making purchases here feeling I won't have to make a second trip. This Home Depot is in a good location, south of 270 to the west of Cleveland Avenue. They have a large paking lot and they keep it clean. I do come to this location for all of my tool rentals; they have a wide variety and offer them at a good price. Today I came in for plumbing supplies, redoing a bathroom, and I found what I needed quickly, got several suggestions for tile, and was in and out faster than some of the drive thru lines I have waited in at McDonalds. I would recommend Home Depot to anyone. read more

My wife had the most amazing experience this past weekend 7/25 with a staff member by the name of Jonathan. He was so helpful with her that she ended up making a purchase that I felt we should have done together. Once she find me how helpful he was, I'm so happy she made the decision. Our new patio furniture was a great addition to our new home. My wife would have continued to look in other places had Jonathan not assisted her. DO NOT BUY KITCHEN APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT if you don't have to. My most recent applicance purchase from Home Depot will be the last time I ever purchase an appliance from this store. The overall experience of purchasing and having an appliance installed has been a stressful experience. I did not receive a call the day before the delivery drivers arrived with an estimated four hour window of arrival. I was also required to hire a plumber to reroute a water line and install a new valve before the appliance could be installed thus adding an additional $120.00 to the overall cost of purchase and installation of the appliance. I will be sending a letter to Home Depot corporate with my complaint and suggestions for making the overall appliance purchase and installation process less stressful for customers. I asked for a tub spout with a set screw and they guy said he doesn't see it but he's gonna get a ladder to get the box down because he thought it was above the shelf. I waited for 40 mins and was walking around to find the guy and he was no where to be found. I personally love home depot but this location always gives me a hard and bad time. read more

Don't use their door install service. They bang up your door on the way to the install. Don't install it correctly then when you try to get them to fix it they don't call you back and generally ignore you just like you would expect from the crappy chain. Worst service ever!!! read more

Your usual Home Depot. Everything is laid out nice and is easy to find. Staff is usually more than willing to help you find something. Prices are pretty much the same as the other stores (lowes, menards) with the occasional good deal. read more

My grandmother and I were both pleasently surprised to see how well the plants in the Garden Center were doing considering how much you can end up paying. There was a nice variety of flowers, veggietables, and trees to appeal to many yards and budgets. I must also acknowledge the individual staff members who assisted us throughout our weekday visit. They were personable and happy to help. We would return to this location. read more

This was my first ever visit to a Home Depot! Ever! I'd always stuck with the blue storefront. It was time to venture into the orange doors. What prompted my trip is that my house was broken into and Lowe's didn't carry the window bars I wanted. Home Depot had something at least closer. A friend let me borrow her car and I embarked on my mission. When I got there I was a little struck by how differently it's laid out than Lowe's. Everything is compartmentalized. Not just sectioned and organized like Lowe's, but like...separated and made to feel like there are distinct rooms. There's way more signange too. It sort of felt like a giant Toys'R'Us for adults!!! I wandered around for a bit just checking the place out when a very friendly associate asked if she could help. I told her what I was looking for and she guided me to it and made small talk all the while. She retrieved someone more familiar with windows when she exhausted her knowledge on the area. While the guy she tracked down wasn't the most helpful (he informed me he was new), he and the other associates I encountered seemed to want to be helpful way more than the other home improvement store. Overall, aside from vastly different layout, not that much different, with the exception of overall better customer service. read more

I've ordered appliances every Black Friday for the last three years and this was the last. Every order hasn't been right. This time they accidentally cancelled my order, so I'm out of a washer for 2 more weeks instead of 1 week. The first time I ordered a dishwasher and they sent the delivery out to Upper Arlington and I live in Cville, the second time I ordered a refrigerator, the store model had plastic spill proof shelves, the one I got had wire shelves. This time would've been ok because the manager told me they would refund me $50 and I only got $43 because the guy doing the refund seriously didn't have a clue what he was doing. This location is very sad... Today I had an experience with Tom that was very racist and disgusting. He asked me abruptly "where was I going" Huh? So I asked him "how about can I help you." I went to this location to purchase some cleaning products for my car. While looking for Windex wipes and holding my soon to be purchased Mr. Clean sponges here comes Tom. He's an elderly white man that appears to have been groomed to see color over anything else. I say this because there was a white couple near us whom he asked if they needed help after I called him a jackass. Full disclosure! Should I have called him that maybe not but he clearly was being one because I asked if they had wipes and his response was "we don't have wipes in the store". I paid for my wipes and showed Tom after returning to him for his name and I informed him I will be contacting the corporate offices because clearly he needs social education and intervention of how to handle the public. A public that is a mix of various humans. I called the store in the parking lot and spoke to the assistant manager Brandon who apologized for his behavior and I suggested Home Depot offer sensitivity classes to it's employees. I will not be spending my money with a company that isn't interested in changing this behavior. Just be aware if you are a brown person you made not be welcomed too the slogan "how doers get more done" especially if there's a "Tom" waiting to pounce . read more

My husband and I just purchased a home, and we are in the process of several DIY/renovation projects, and having just moved into the area we were looking for a local Home Depot to use as our resource or "go-to". Having worked in retail myself (and understanding it's stresses) I hardly ever leave a negative review but after making several trips to this particular Home Depot, I will NOT be returning. Here's why: 1) Several employees I have interacted with at the paint counter (we have purchased numerous gallons of paint) have been indifferent and aloof... rather rude. Felt like interacting with customers was the LAST thing that they wanted to do that evening. I did not feel welcome, and I wanted to leave and never ever come back. 2) I have also needed to purchase a closet shelving system only to find out that half of the pieces I needed were out of stock or missing, even when I looked at 2-3 systems (trying to see if I could create a "solution" with what was in stock). 4) Not that I expect an employee to "jump" whenever a customer enters their department, but I shopped through 5-6 departments hunting for a variety of specific products for our projects (plumbing, electrical, lumber, shelving, bath acc, tools are a few I recall) looking for help several times and was not able to find anybody. This was frustrating, and while I was able to locate the items I was looking for it took me quite some time and left me irritated. It didn't help that when I did finally find some employees, they were all chatting and (trying not to judge here because we all do it...) but "hanging out" rather than helping customer. 5) When I finally went to check out with the items I had managed to locate, there was only one register open (it was a later evening) and the employee supposed to be working was sitting at another counter and didn't even acknowledge me. I had to wait while, and then ask if they would be able to help me. Oh, and he suggestively "hit on me" which was NOT professional. Overall, it seemed a little encouragement/leadership/correction from the management would solve most of these issues, but I will not be returning for the rest of our supplies. I actually ended up driving to the Home Depot in Polaris, and was treated MUCH better. Very helpful, awesome team at the Polaris location. My advice? Head straight to the Polaris location and save yourself the headache. read more

My husband and I have been shopping at this location for about 2 years now. Every time we visit is hard to find an employee to ask for help, but it's not a big deal because we usually find what we need without help. Today though, my husband was looking for some tools and needed help finding them, an associate was right next to us restocking and not once asked if we needed help, even though my husband was struggling, but as soon as another man walked through the aisle he immediately asked if he needed help. So when my husband finally asked for help the guy quickly reply "give me a minute" in a very rude way, so we waited.. and waited and then the guy disappeared and we never got the help we needed. Finally my husband found what he was looking for and went to check out. I pulled out my military ID to get a discount the lady said "thank you for your service" but didn't apply the discount not a big deal but why you offer discounts if we're not going to get them. Went to Home Depot on Cleveland Ave a year ago and bought 5 windows. They were installed and it was wonderful. Now this summer finished up the house bought 5 more and everything has gone wrong. First the salesman who didn't know how to add the windowsills to the computer program left them out-even after asking him to make sure they were in there. So when the men who came to install came they refused to do any windowsills or to add extra wood around the windows where the wood had gone bad because the salesman didn't put it in the contract. Called new manager 'Jeff' who had to have the salesman come back out the next week and redo the order and basically start over. The crew who came this time we did not care for their attitude so we requested Jeff to send the original crew who still worked there for this install. He promised he would- he did not. These 2 men were sloppy and the wood they put around the window is at an angle so you cannot put trim on it until you trim it. One window is done so poorly you can still see a sliver of light to the outside. They broke one of the window panes and promised to come back and fix it along with some small things they couldn't finish. Well 3 weeks later and I called wanting to know when they were coming and the woman tells me that she had no records of us buying any windows this year. She then calls Jeff who tells her that he didn't know about any of this happening and doesn't know why we are not in the computer. I talked to him myself after the install and he promised it would all be fixed. The woman told me Jeff would be calling me the next day and yup you guessed it. No call. Still waiting for them to come out and finish/fix the install and window. No one seems to care. Will never go back to them. Ever. Very hard to find honest workers nowadays. read more
