Ordered a freezer and received an email stating the delivery was successful to the store. Never received the pickup email. Tried calling to check status and didn't receive promised call back. Now 10 days past delivery date, in store, they are saying it was never delivered and it's not in stock. This is the worst store, never shopping in the store. I ordered a refrigerator on Black Friday, it never delivered, they changed delivery date twice with no reason. The last day, i called them 4 times, waiting and waiting, the last call told me they couldn't find my order.... On 11/1/24 I wrote a sincere letter of complaint to Ted Decker, CEO of Home Depot, against one of their ProReferral contractors. Never even received an acknowledgement. Their contractor damaged my toilet when they performed unauthorized work, which ended up costing me $100 to repair. Home Depot stands behind their contractor. I have been a Home Depot customer for dozens of years and have made purchases of over $30,000, including a $12,000 new roof, $1,000 fridge, and a $900 washer, plus all of my other hardware needs. Customer service starts at the top. Home Depot does not value customer loyalty. Not only will I no longer shop at Home Depot, but I have no faith in any warranty they provide. Decker's behavior is shameful and unconscionable. Apparently, ProReferral does not even vet their contractors since they obviously favor the riff raff that they referred to me, even though he has numerous negative reviews all over the internet, including walking off a job in anger. Ordered and paid for Corian countertops for a very small casita kitchen on 6/10 (over 1900.00!) and were told 6-8 weeks til they could install. The Monday of the SIXTEENTH week they finally came and did the job . It took them less than 2 hrs. The company they have contracted can't handle the business, and they can't even be honest about it. We had a great experience at Home Depot purchasing our dishwasher everyone was kind. However, their install company has literally punched us around for the last two weeks after buying it. They contract through Barlows, which upon further research has 1 star reviews. I guess our experience is not novel, most people are reporting the same things I experienced. We were in there on a Saturday right before Thanksgiving looking for Christmas lights. There was a lady that working in the Christmas department that was so helpful and went out of her way to help us and above and beyond what she could've done. I have shopped at Home Depot for many years and I've never gotten this Thoughtfulness there any other worker I have run across. Purchased Whirlpool refrigerator, leaking a few days after install. Called Home Depot, they said they couldn't help me, and to call Whirlpool, they "only support items for the first 48 hours, after than you need to contact the manufacture." So much so the employees recognize me and ask how my projects are going :) They have all been super helpful and very knowledgeable about every random thing I come in with. Another plus, they let me bring my 60lb dog in!! If you need help with anything having to do with wall textures, paint or stain find Carmen. I swear this woman knows everything and is more than happy to help you find exactly the right colors etc. In the lighting part is a 50-60 year old guy with his ears pierced that can help with anything electrical and has saved us a lot of headache. I went to this location after doing research on appliance packages online. Our intent was to purchase a package after having questions answered. The young sales associate seemed bothered to help and went to the Home Depot website to look up appliances and wouldn't complete the work order to give us the final price with tax. She specifically stated this is the price and just take 8% or whatever the tax is here. When asking about matching appliance set with range, she stated you could buy it and refuse delivery without trying to find a match piece for us. She recommended purchasing any oven and refusing it if it didn't match. Going to Lowe's or Spencer's even though less options but better service! read more

Ordered a refrigerator on May 29 2022 and still no refrigerator currently do not know where the refrigerator is at. We had a delivery date of 6/7/22 and rescheduled for 7/7/22 Barlows (the company they contract out to deliver) came to deliver and said the valve was corroded and will need to repaired call back to redeliver stated the would come right out. Plumber came out the next morning and said is not corroded and fitting needed tightened. Called Barlows and there system stated it was delivered.. called Home Depot and they stated it was on Barlows...Reminded Home Depot I purchased from you.... complete runaround from both companies...7/16/22 refrigerator found and to be delivered between 1:00 and 6:00pm No call no show. Okay will be delivered on 7/20/22 today. Barlows showed up (no refrigerator) are there for a Service Call. Again nobody knows where the refrigerator is. Each company blaming each other... Poor customer experience for large appliance purchase! Associates are not on the same page as appliance delivery company. We were guaranteed one thing BEFORE we purchased only to find out something completely different when contacted by the contracted delivery company. This huge purchase was dependent on meeting our timeframe. End of a long story... we now will end up paying for two deliveries and separate/additional install. The local mgmt team denied their associates would accept our purchase and delivery timeframe, basically calling us liars. It's also difficult to find help to answer a question unless you are in the garden area. On the plus side, they usually have what I'm looking for if I'm willing to invest the time to search. But he left the panels in the garage roof open so my cold air has been escaping! Also beware! This scam is set up so you cant actually hire the company that comes out - they cannot take on a customer if they came out through this program. HORRIBLE customer service. I had a security screen door installed and it is way too short plus the door lock doesn't work. I've called 3 times now with no response. I will NEVER use them for installations again and certainly would never recommend them!! Too many good, reputable companies out there. Normally I get a little frustrated at hardware stores because I often don't even know the name of the thing I'm looking for, so I have to do that awkward "It looks like this and it's shaped like this, and it does this" with hand motions. Well I did that this time and the person who listened to me was very helpful. Then a true miracle happened. I was standing waiting to get a key made. The person making the keys was helping someone else. All of the sudden, another employee of the store saw me, asked if I needed help, and then made a key for me. Bing bam boom. Done. Let me start this review by saying that this Home Depot has to be one of the worst in the state. Generally speaking this store has always been messy, disorganized and had at least mediocre customer service. But my last two visits really exemplified their ability to disservice anyone attempting to make some purchases (at least me anyways). It began with my first quest to purchase some bathroom tile, liner, mortar - you know, all the goods for a bathroom remodel. I had used their handy website to make sure everything I wanted was in stock. Upon arriving to my aisle I noticed the entire section of my tile brand / type was empty! After walking around that area for about 3-5 minutes I had to flag someone down from another department who could flag someone down from this department. Total time to speak to someone: about 6 minutes (I can still live with this timeframe). Unfortunately the person I was speaking to was just "filling in" but could inform me that they DID have the tile I wanted in stock, as the site indicated, but that for some treason no one had restocked it. Cool? He then stated he had to find someone, to locate it and bring it down. I was left alone for about 15 minutes as he "searched" for appropriate people. Not an exaggeration. Not an oversight in my time keeping abilities. But I was left alone for 15 minutes. At this point - I just walked out and chalked it up to a bad experience. Today, about a week and a half after my last experience I figured I would give this store a chance for redemption - plus it's really close to me. As I arrive in the tile area I was shocked to see the exact same products I had come in for last week were still NOT stocked. Again, I ask (a different) the associate if it's in stock, and again I get the "yes it is, we just have to bring it down" response. I ask if this can be done but get a "The person working this area that can do it is somewhere else". Fed up - especially since the store has had the request for this tile, basic white subway tile (for the record), and since both times they tell me it's in stock (and so does the website), I just leave. On the way out I tell the door greeter that the service is atrocious and he should let his manager know in walking out. His response? He chuckled and said "oh, you think so?" read more

I frequent the store about 3-4 times a week. Usually have exactly what I need, which is a surprise because I often go into shopping with only an idea and they usually have something to match it. Customer service is overall very good and I am pleased with the plant selection and variety in landscaping tools and handyman equipment. Just had the most fantastic experience with Richard in the lumbar department. As a woman typically when I go to home improvement stores I get treated terribly and get a lot of eye rolls and talked down to. Richard was incredibly patient and kind he was extremely knowledgeable and so helpful with finding me exactly what i wanted and helping me not only to checkout but all the way out to my car going above and beyond helping me secure my car with long lumbar. I bought a sample of carpet that was installed by Home Depot to try and buy more. I waited patiently while the woman behind the desk was on a 15 minute phone call. I told her I would like to purchase more of the carpet that was installed in my home and she told me I would have to go look through their samples myself. She said "it's not my home, I can't help you". I dusted off the look of bewilderment and rummaged through their plethora of sample boards but gave up. Don't have them do kitchen remodels. Took them 7 months to do a kitchen island. Problem with the contractor. Then it was installed off by 1/2 inch. Messed up my tile floor from the tape when they taped down the paper. Which we ended up tearing that up because it was down for months! Design guy nice but whenever I would call him about an issue it was always, I'll call you back. He never did...Oh, once he did. Had to get my own tile guy, electrician and plumber. They did give me a refund and also a bit back on demo. It's always nice when they call you, leave a message and think they hung up the phone! Then you hear manager and a girl talk about you! She did say I was nice on the phone and then commented on what I told her with the words. BLAH,BLAH, BLAH!! Need all new appliances in my kitchen so they just lost about $7000 in sales! Stopped In today, in need of some items in plumping and hardware. You can definitely tell this is an older location. Not as clean as most locations, aisles are really tight and lighting is not the best. Employees in plumping were not much help and it seemed in new more about plumbing than they did--and that's not saying much. I even ended up finding what I needed myself after searching for some time. Although they ended up not having what I needed in hardware, the younger guy who was helping me was wicked smart and super helpful. On tip is that the registers are north of what appears to be the main entrance, which is a little weird IMO. Either way, if you plan on parking near the garden section or the center entrance, be prepared to walk. read more
