Horrible customer service with $1900 online lumber order! Got text saying order was ready when really it was not. Then the employees only brought out a portion of the order and I had to argue with them to get the rest that I paid for but didn't receive. Don't waste your time placing an online order. Tried for 1 hour to call rental department because I was told they were the only Home Depot with a lawn AERATOR. No answer or message machine, then went online and see availability and give credit card info and then charged $150.00 . 4 hours later I was called and told machine not available till possibly 1 the next day and that she would cxl today's and the I could come tomorrow. But here is the complaint. 7 to 10 days on today's refund ( it my banks problem) then drop $ 150 again tomorrow, so I asked for a manager. The shift manager MARIA on today couldn't care less and acted like I was a complete bother and why did I have a problem with their process. Well MARIA, you shouldn't ever be promoted to any manager because you have zero integrity or professionalism or problem solving ability. I went into Home Depot on Jackson street. My regular go to place for part and equipment. Today I walked in to get some PVC pipe to run plumbing on my trailer. I was greeted by Ken in the plumbing department. He was so helpful and helped me grab exactly what I was looking for without hesitation. I was able to get home, put everything together like I imagined it and be on my way. I just wanted to say Ken was very nice and very knowledgeable and knew where everything was at right away. Victoria T at customer service helped me get everything I needed today; I had surgery last week and was unable to shop and lift on my own. Victoria helped me put together my large order. It's some of the very best customer service I've had anywhere. I'm a chef by trade, I know customer service, and it's very hard to come by these days. I did interact with two other employees at this location and like Victoria, they were knowledgeable, very friendly and professional. It's clear this location hires well! It's either really good or really bad. Your return policy really stinks! You let people return items that are filthy and do not operate, you don't even take the time to wipe it off you just throw it back on the shelf and sell it as a new item with dirt and mud on it. Horrible consumer service. We called for help to get a nail gun that was on the overstock shelve and locked. We only needed someone to unlock the nail gun. I bought a washer on 3/21/2024 because the website stated that the delivery day would be Saturday, 3/23/2024. On Friday 3/22 I called Home Depot to find out what time will they come. I was told that they don't deliver to my zip code till next Thursday 3/28. Supposedly somebody called me but I didn't answer the phone. The somebody didn't even bother to leave me a message. The rep from Home Depot was polite but just a machine repeating some lame phrases he understands my frustration. I can't be such a incredible science to state on their website what delivery days are assigned to different zip codes. I am disgusted with the lousy customer service of Home Depot! read more

Camping near Joshua tree , came all the way down to Indio to try and find a hook up for my backpacking grill. Couldn't find one as it's a weird mix of propane and butane. No one had it or a adapter to use. But they tried there damm hardest and hooked me up with a charcoal grill and some charcoal to save the day. Angela and her friend joe saved the day. I love this store.. it is HUGE. We were looking for storage cabinets. They did not have what we wanted at the big warehouse store down the street. So we ventured into this place. They not only had exactly what we wanted, but we could get it delivered in two days. For Christmas they have sooo many display ideas. Not to mention all the tools you would need. Ordered custom cabinets. When they arrived, we opened the box--there was no padding to secure the cabinets, and they already had the corners busted. One of the cabinets had come disconnected on one side. It clearly looked cheap and poorly constructed, as well as shoddily handled. Poor craftsmanship and poor warehousing. I am going to get them replaced, and will update this review accordingly. I am hoping that Home Depot does not try to shill more junk with the replacement. read more

Stopped by on the way home from Phoenix to LA. It's located in a very large shopping center. It was busy inside. But Home Depot's usually are. Honestly, we just stopped in to use their restrooms. I brought a chip from the wall to have a quart of paint made. They told me ten minutes, when I picked it up they had made the color based on the back of the chip which was white. I had told them to use the textured side. It was two girls working behind the counter. They seemed a little upset that they made the mistake and told me to come back in ten minutes again. I paid for the new paint and went home. My handyman used the paint to touch up a wall in the laundry room. Well, they made me FLAT paint and it should have had a shine to it. Now it looks totally mismatched. So, now I have to go back and have them remake the paint again. Such a hassle for a little quart of paint. Also, I have to paint it myself now, because the handyman costs too much to come back. read more

Recently went to Home Depot on Jackson in Indio. Walked over to self-checkout area and a young girl saw the "Help" look on my face . She asked how she could help. I explained I needed two new batteries for my car fobs and counldn't open either one to replace the batteries. She opened both immediaitely, walked me over to batteries, installed both, walked me to self-checkout, stayed till i paid-took all of 12 minutes!!! I had to go to store two times to get a key copy and neither copy worked. Shows the incompetence of employees and the fact that their hi tech key copy machines didn't work. I got my refund twice - but a waste of time and gas. I went to Valley Lock a few miles a way and they had no problem making the key and charge me less. I have and extended 3 year Home Depot warranty for my washer and dryer, both LG. wanted to file a warranty claim with Home Depot since it's been a a little over a year since purchase. Home Depot makes you fill out a form on line, then they have the nerve to have you Dona diagnostic with someone on the phone. then to boot they finally, after calling several numbers, they agreed to send a tech to do a diagnostic but not to fix washer. why the heck did I buy an extended warranty with them if they refuse to send a tech to fix the problem? do not buy their warranty for anything . get the compnay one like LG or GE etc!!!!!
