One of the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. It's almost like covid just made all their employees even more lazy. Let me just say I am not a handyman and all I was looking to do was mount a TV to my wall and needed 3" screws and a 2x4. The staff was so unhelpful and and rude. Clearly nobody wanted to help their customers and when I did ask for help, they make it clear that it's such an inconvenience for them. One employee even went as far as telling me that what I'm trying to do isn't going to work. And just walked away without any explanation or offering any advice. However I do want to say kudos to the Spax sales rep that was there restocking products. He was the only person that was nice enough to ask me if I needed help and he doesn't even work for Home Depot. read more

I have been a customer for a very long time and the customer service was impeccable. On Friday February 2nd 2018 at approximately 9 a.m. I encounter some really poor customer service. Don't let Doug mix your paint the worst ever brought in a can of paint to be mixed #1050 flat got 2 gallons of the wrong paint #3050 glossy I didn't check it because I've been getting the same paint mix since 2007. So a 5-hour job became 10 hours I had a bad feeling about this guy he had an attitude just some bad vibes and I was right about it. If you just met me and for whatever reason you don't like me because of your belief your race that's fine but when I'm a paying customer I expect to get what I paid for simple. I am about to contact the corporate office in Atlanta to make a formal complaint because this kind of behavior is unacceptable. In my heart I felt like this guy gave me the wrong paint deliberately. I had a very nice experience today. I picked up a few items that I needed for the home nothing major, (I leave that up to my husband!) The staff was pretty visible and friendly.They helped me nagivate the store when I asked about a specific item or general questions. The Home Depot - New Year Goals! - Hardware Stores Near Me - Kent, Washington

I love this place! Although I'm a guy who really loves to go in hardware stores. Regardless of my sort of bias toward stores like the Home Depot, I must say that I have been shopping at this particular location for 11 years now and well a think that should say something in itself. If you knew exactly where my house was located then you would know that technically there are 4 Home Depot locations that I can drive to in 10 minutes or less and although I've been to all 4, the Kent store is the one I choose to frequent at least once a week, every week. I know all the employees and they know me. They are all very very friendly and willing to help you in any way they can. A lot of them can actually be quite intelligible about the products they sell, which is something that you seldom see at retailers in general. Overall I give to this Home Depot store. read more

What a horrible experience!! What a headache!! I ordered in store 6 boxes of laminated wood to do my stairs on 3/10. Waited 3 weeks and went to pick up at the store. 3 out of the 6 boxes were damaged. The associate said she will re-order the 3 boxes for me again. I've been waiting and called in several time. The first associate told me it will be another 2-3 weeks until I get my items. Called in today after 5 weeks of waiting and was told that they don't have a delivery date yet. They are not sure how long and there is nothing I can do. What a waste of my time. I have bought everything for the project and now have to haul them back to return and look elsewhere. read more

I would like to rate home depot negative 5 stars. I bought 2 tool bags that cost $9.97 each. The cashier over charged me $19.97 each. When I asked for my money back she told me that she didn't want to reopen the register to give me the cash I just handed her 30 seconds before. Then she told me to come back another day to speak to someone else. Now I have to drive all the back to Home Depot to retrieve the money that I feel they stole from me. Because she was to damn lazy to push a button to open the cash till. Their customer service is the worst I have ever delt with in 30 years. F**k Home Depot!!! One guy, Karl, was very helpful but the woman(plural) at the customer service counter acted like I was crazy to even expect help. I went to purchase several golf umbrellas for a funeral and Karl was on the hunt for me. However, the woman at the customer service counter just pointed at a display of bubble umbrellas and when I explained what I was looking for they just gave me an annoyed look. Under the weather, so this will be concise. Eh. The few times I have been here, I have come across one of two types of employees: "The He Can Help You Over Theres" and "The Shorts Answers To Get Back To What I Was Doing Before You Cames". Both don't make for the most meaningful experience and the thing is, is that if the people working there paid just a little bit attention and observed then it would probably make for a better experience for both of us. There are knowledgeable people at this Home Depot. I know it. I've heard it. There are folks that know what they're talking about. It just seems like the only time I wasn't being pushed off or rushed was when I was checking out. You know, when I was leaving anyway. There was a gentleman who was covering for the Tools department and I was looking for a certain key. I knew make and model but, because I didn't have any type of reference number (that's usually on the key), he couldn't help me. I thank him for his time and he left to do more...covering in another area. I stuck around, looked online for a few minutes, found their cross-reference notebook, and found my damn key. Thing is, I didn't even need homie to cut it. I just needed the key. I want 2% of his paycheck for that hour. Anyway, purchased, left, moved forward. I haven't been back since, but I also haven't had a need to yet. There's a McLendon's about the same distance away anyway. Eh. read more

My review is in regard to the delivery and installation, this was easily the worst delivery I've ever experienced. 2 delivery gentlemen showed up right on time then spent no more than 15 minutes trying to install my over range microwave. This new LG microwave is exactly and I mean Exactly the same dimensions as the one I'm replacing. They attempt to install, set it down and say it doesn't fit. They explain that I will need to make cuts to my cupboards for it to be installed. They then proceed to install my dishwasher which after making the plumbing and electrical connection one of them hits start and turns it on, checks for leaks and packs up and leaves. After they're gone I'm searching for the owners manual for the dishwasher because I'm wondering why is it so loud. I call them on there cell phone ( Which is the # they called me from to set delivery time) and he says OH, Its probably inside the dishwasher. It was and so was all the packaging and the noise suppression pad that wasn't installed. All the styrofoam, tape, instruction manual, everything is obviously soaking gd wet. It literally took me 20 minutes to install the microwave by myself, they had hung the bracket incorrectly, which is why it didn't fit. They also left me with 1 bolt instead of the 2 that came with the install package, he did bring it back 11 hours later. I'm incredibly frustrated because we were so excited about our new appliances and it became a delivery and install debacle! The dishwasher is noticeably quieter after I installed the noise suppression pad and removed all the packing materials from inside the dishwasher. The microwave works perfectly after I rehung the bracket and it fits perfectly no thanks to the delivery team. I want my money back for the install of the dishwasher as it was incomplete and I had to complete that install as well! read more

I will say that there are four people there are kind and helpful: Britta in the paint department and her coworker in the same department, the tiny little brunette girl... don't know her name. There is a gentleman in the lumber department who is absolutely kind as well. He is probably 27 and 5'8 with light brownish blond hair. Otherwise, the Asian chick who does returns is an airhead and has absolutely no manners. None. She couldn't figure out how to do a return one day and instead of calling for assistance, she told me she just wouldn't be able to do it: I had to drive to another location. NOT COOL. There are several cashiers I would fire if I could. I have stood and waited 20 minutes after having a cashier and two different associates from other departments try to get a hold of the person who is supposed to be in the department where I need help. Is that okay by some standard? There are even a handful of men who work in hardware and lumber that act like you should just go home and not come back. Wish I had names, but the brunette man who is well over 6 foot and 250 lbs... jerk! The very young guy who strolls around doing absolutely nothing but rolling his eyes... lucky you're not my son, I would be ashamed. The only other males who has been helpful other than the totally nice guy who cut my lumber was the Asian kid who looked to be in his early 20s and the foreign guy who wears bright orange shoes to match his apron. I've noticed some things in three locations I frequent: 1. there are almost no African Americans employed. 2. White men and women over 30 years old who work there are absolutely useless for customer service. Wanna know what else I noticed? A cashier rip up my receipt after a return and then lie to me about it after I walked back for it and say I think I am supposed to be able to keep it in case there are other items that need to be returned. She blatantly looked me in the eyes and said she didn't have the receipt and all I could do is walk away, seeing it sitting on the very top of the trash in the can. I couldn't believe she had the audacity to lie rather than offer to tape the thing or reprint it somehow, so I just left. read more

Following my previous issue and review the manager contacted me directly to apologize for the breakdowns in communication and inform me that those employees involved were re-trained. The staff here are terrible. They wonder about the aisles aimlessly. When you approach them with a question, they try to walk the other way or tell you something along the lines of 'if it's not on the shelf then we don't have it.' Nobody is really willing to help and the cashiers have no idea what they're doing. This girl tried to charge me 70 bucks for an 11 dollar piece of laminate flooring because she didn't know how to convert square ft to square yards. She also didn't understand what a grout float was, since it was missing the barcode sticker. When we told her, she typed in float and charged me for the most expensive one listed. Then she also double charged me for the shop vac, which was 60 bucks. All in all, with about 20 items, this young lady charged mischarged me over 120 dollars on a bill that was supposed to be 190 out the door. Wtf ??? Took an extra fifteen minutes to correct, and the manager she called over was less than interested in helping. Home Depot typically has bad customer service, but this place takes the cake. I ordered carpet installation from home depot. There was a little misunderstanding between the installers and my tenant. There were lots of small items in one room that the installers said that they can't move. The tenant told them to install the carpet in the empty rooms and then she'll move the stuff to the finished rooms. Initially the message didn't go through well due to english being the tenants second language . I then spoke with the installers and the tenant and everything got sorted out. The installers were very understanding. The problem was when I got a call later from home depot assistant manager Renee. She was extremely rude on the phone and kept yelling the whole time. She started ordering me to remove everything from the room immediately or else they can't do the installation and I will get charged extra. I explained to her 3 or 4 times that I have already talked to both the installers and the tenant and that everything was going well but she just wouldn't listen. I had to tell her to stop yelling. And it was at the end of the conversation that she realized that the house was occupied by a tenant and not me. I have done lots of business with Home Depot at this location but due to the rude behavior by Renee the assistant store manager, I will be canceling all my future orders! read more

Put on hold forever and then can't get an answer. Then when you apply for credit, and mine is good, your denied. For a minute here the service was so good, I thought I was in mclendons. Anissa provided the most friendly good hearted service and i could tell she really cared about her job and the customers. Justin is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. With great employees like these, there's no doubt I will return. I will take a star off however for home depot's terrible review system. I've read some of the negative reviews regarding the service at this Home Depot and have to say I've not had the same experience. For example, I'm on hold right now because Lumber's phone isn't working so a customer service lady is walking all of the way to the back of the store to get one of them for me. And last Spring a lady in garden spent at least half an hour with me giving me advice on how to restore my lawn. Other than one guy in electrical, who is nice enough, but has no clue about his products, this has been my experience with this store. I've been going there since they went in. read more

I asked a lady for help and she said she'd send someone to the section, 10 minutes later and nobody came, so I found another person who also said they'd be right over with a ladder. I'm only giving two stars because the ONE person who did care enough to help me did a good job and got me exactly what I was looking for. The sad part is she doesn't even work here! She's a vendor but she helped me. I asked 4 Home Depot employees at the Kent location to help me find a saw that my husband has been wanting. That says they have 20 in stock but NONE on the shelf. Every single person said ask Annie she should be over there. Well Annie was nowhere to be found. Then I asked again and was told to wait in the isle and she would meet me over there. After 20 minutes and finally getting angry this vendor who's name I didn't catch offered to help and told me if I had anymore trouble to go to customer service. Every single time we go into this store there is always an issue with lumber. We pre ordered lumber and it wasn't set out like it was suppose to be, so we went and got all of it ready and told the lady up front it was paid for and the guy in the back already checked us off for it. She then accused of stealing and had the worst attitude with us. I can understand double counting what we had but for petesake. I don't get why there has to be such much fuss/eyerolling/attitude against customers? And for one of the other employees to say that she treats everyone this way, it's completely unacceptable, I feel very attacked walking in there. I don't think I'll ever go back to this Home Depot. If you value your time do NOT shop here. We remodeled our vacation cabin and wasted 6 trips of our contractor to the Lake Bay store and 4-5 for ourselves. just for buckled flooring. The flooring issue was never resolved. With all the money we spent they could have easily comped our inexpensive floor and still made a ton of money. Delivery crew was unable to get down our narrow road with the larger truck No problem they loaded the stuff in our truck and off we go. Now the crew starts to leave expecting me to carry in the items. I had to call them back to unload. No wonder our contractor preferred Lowe's. More recently we purchased a major appliance. They give you a 4 hour time window - even Comcast does better. Even with the 4 hour window Temco was late. The outsourced delivery crew scratched the appliance. This was just the start of the frustration. We were told to call a number. So we called a phone tree and were disconnected 3 times. We ended up making a visit to the store. Why does the shipping company not start the process of obtaining a replacement? We still do NOT have dryer. Numerous employees claim they can only do one thing. The poor processes and lack of employee training is readily apparent. They has not been any attempt to fix any issue we have. Our neighbor has experienced similiar challenges and is on first name basis with the manager. read more

If it wasn't for convenience I wouldn't shop here. Is it because I'm not 50+ that I have workers ignore me?? When I don't need any help coincidentally seems to be when I usually receive help. I believe they went through a mass firing and hiring recently because they seem more clueless than 6-10 months ago versus now. My fiancée and I have spent thousands of dollars here in the last year since buying our house. The assistance I have received is beyond horrible. I will say this, there is a few competent cashiers here and that's why I'm giving it two stars. The majority that work on the floor are just bad. Last weekend I ordered about 400 dollars of stuff online. I get there to pick it up and I'm waiting behind a customer in the "internet pick up" spot with a huge sign above it. I called before I came to make sure my items were there. After almost 8 minutes I realize this person isn't picking anything up. I ask loudly if this was the internet pick up. The employee says she's helping this customer order online and I had to get rude to pick up what I already paid for and waited 3 hours to receive. The point is, this customer could have been helped at another computer by another employee...this line was marked to pick up items for those of us that have already paid. There was a family waiting behind me and another customer by this point. The employee was rude to me but I didn't want to deal with her manager. She checked my ID even though another employee literally checked it in front of her 10 seconds prior. I'm not the kind of guy that goes around yelling in businesses and I hate getting upset. However, I don't come to this store expecting any help or expert advice on anything. I come to buy and get the heck out ASAP. I've been to other Home Depots in the past that are much better but I don't want to drive when Kent, 167 and 405 seem to have a lot of horrible drivers on the road. read more

This store and their appliances department have been giving my 90 year old mother and myself the run around for over 3 weeks! First reported a non working dishwasher on Feb 14th (it was less than a month old). Was referred to Samsung who came out 10 days later and told mom that the machine had been damaged on installation. On Feb 24th I went in and reported it to customer service at this Home Depot. It is now March 12th and still no resolution after multiple visits and calls. I JUST WANT MOM'S MONEY BACK!! read more

This outfit employs people who must study to be stupid. All I wanted was a camera battery which was displayed online, had a prior customer rave about and two different options for the content. I drove down there and asked the employee where the batteries were and he pointed me to a kiosk at the other end of the store. I walked over there and found two people arguing over a point balance and not helping me. Turns out it is in the middle of the store and I made my way over there and asked for the battery and sure enough it is not carried there at all and the only explanation was she had seen it there in the past. Poor customer service kent Home Depot. After waiting for 5 to 10 minutes for someone to come make me a few keys, I'm heading to Mcclendons.

We placed an order on June 25 for a top load (5.0) LG washing machine and matching dryer. Delivery date was July 7, 2015. Washer and dryer arrived by your contracted delivery service. The technician started a "practice run" saw that it started and then left. During the draining function, the washing machine dumped the entire load of water onto our laundry room floor and hall carpet. After cleaning up the mess, we contacted your delivery service. Three hours later they came to pick up the machine promising that a new machine would be ordered that day and we would have it by Friday (July 10). I called each day to check the status and was told, LG has 24 hours to respond. Next day, LG has 48 hours to respond. After repeated attempts to get information from LG and your delivery service, I began calling my nearby Home Depot stores in hopes a store manager could help. I first contacted the Tukwila, WA Home Depot and was told by the store manager that there was no record of our purchase and that he cannot assist in issues concerning online orders. He said to call another Home Depot location (Kent, WA). I immediately called and spoke to a store manager, Brandon Harris. Again, no record of our purchase and that Home Depot stores cannot help with anything purchased online. I said repeatedly that when you call customer service for online orders, you are directed to call your "local" Home Depot. He said that information is not correct and he could not help me. I called another customer care number (1-800-466-3337) and spoke to Seanna. She was patient as I explained the issue and transferred me to Alex. Alex spoke to her manager and offered $200 off and that she personally spoke to LG and the earliest they could get a washing machine to me was July 18. I called LG immediately after that conversation and asked if another washing machine would be available because I could not wait until July 18. They said the washing machine was ready and would be at the delivery service on Sunday, July 12. They said the issue wasn't LG, but that Home Depot's delivery service had us on the bottom of the delivery list because of the 4th of July sales deliveries. Seriously? Your delivery service says they haven't gotten the machine. LG says it was delivered. Which story is true? Either way, I'm going on 19 days without a washing machine and absolutely no idea when Home Depot is going to delivery the machine I paid for. It seems there is no accountability for your online orders and no one knows how to provide customer service. The kicker came today when I called your customer service line again to see if there was an update, Samailia (wouldn't provide her last name) was extremely rude and said, "Well, if I could push a magic button and help you I would - but I can't." read more
