The pricing at Lowe's confuses me. Under 150 dollars for a giant tarp on posts to go over your BBQ *a nice one*. 30 dollars for a throw pillow on clearance. They have recently renovated this location, I believe, or at least moved things around and refreshed the look a bit. It's a good change. I enjoyed the new feel to it. I was disappointed that the garden center's outside doors were locked. But plants were lined up outside. Don't really get that either. So I walked back and forth from the cashier/exit doors, with the approval of a very nice Lowe's lady, and got what I wanted then brought it back inside and checked out. read more

Bought a bottle of Slime sealant to fix leaky tire on a hand truck. I ordered online and picked it up. Seemed painless. However when I got to the location where the hand truck was in the city, realized the small stretch of hose you need was missing from the side of the bottle and the bottle was unsealed. Someone already tried to use this and also found hose was missing. I had to go back to Tukwila, and the Asian lady at customer service with black and gray hair ARGUED with me and said it doesn't come with a hose. She was extremely rude and combative. I told her the instructions on the bottle explicitly stated that there is a hose and you can clearly see the indent area on the bottle where the hose is supposed to be. She only reluctantly gave me a refund. And I'm sure just put it back on the shelf so someone else can buy it and get screwed. This lady shouldn't ever have a job involving customer service. She acted like it was her job to insult and drive away customers. If that's the case, good job. Even though I live a block from this store, I'll get what I need from Target, Home Depot or Amazon. If there's a hell, I'm sure there's a Lowe's there just to make eternal damnation even more painful. read more

​I generally shop at Lowe's for my home needs, but my recent experiences at the checkout have been very uncomfortable. While using the self-checkout, an employee from the front door repeatedly approached me and began pushing buttons on my screen without me asking for any assistance. This felt invasive and unnecessary. ​What made the situation more concerning was that there were five or six other employees standing around the front door talking, yet I was the only person checking out and the only one being "monitored" this closely. It felt less like helpfulness and more like I was being watched or screened. This has happened multiple times now, and it makes for a very unwelcoming environment. Management should ensure that staff respect customers' personal space and that "help" is only provided when requested. read more

Normally I don't do reviews, but this one I have no choice but to expose what i went trough. I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the delivery and installation service I recently received from Lowe's, which has caused significant inconvenience and frustration for me and my family. I purchased a washer from Lowe's for $1,039.68, which included delivery, installation, and haul-away of my old machine. The primary reason I chose Lowe's was the promise of a hassle-free process, especially since I am unable to handle these tasks myself due to work and family obligations. When the delivery team arrived, they made no real effort to move or haul out the old washer, despite this being part of the paid service. Instead, they simply looked at the installation area and immediately called their supervisor. Without attempting to find a reasonable solution, they informed me that I would have to remove the old unit myself before they could complete the installation. The supervisor, who was put on speakerphone with my wife present, was extremely unprofessional and offered me an ultimatum instead of assistance: either I find and pay a third-party service to remove the washer myself -- leaving my new appliance exposed in my carport in the meantime -- or I accept an immediate return and refund. I was not given any realistic options or sufficient time to respond, and the supervisor showed absolutely no concern for my situation as a paying customer. What is even more unacceptable is that, after this forced return, Lowe's refunded only $896.45 of my original $1,039.68 payment. It appears I was still charged for installation and haul-away services that were never performed. To date, my washer has been broken for almost two weeks, and this experience has left me stuck without a working appliance for an additional 5-10 business days while I wait for my partial refund to process -- time and money that I simply cannot afford to lose. This situation reflects a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care on the part of your delivery team and supervisor. It is unreasonable to expect customers to do the work themselves when they have paid for full-service delivery and installation. I strongly believe that Lowe's must take responsibility for this unacceptable service. I am requesting the following: 1. A full and immediate refund of the remaining balance for the services that were not performed. 2. A formal apology for the rude and dismissive behavior of the delivery supervisor. 3. Assurance that this complaint will be escalated appropriately and that corrective measures will be taken to prevent this from happening to other customers. Not sure why it says I live in San Francisco I live in Seatac. I recently replaced a above the fridge microwave and hot water heater and Lowes tried to price gouge me. They were charging almost double what Home Depo half a mile away was charging. They weren't honest about their pricing either they didn't mention alot of hidden fees. I was looking around for a new dishwasher, and previous experience persuaded me to my another Bosch. This was my first experience buying a major appliance from a place that's not an appliance store. It will be my last. I paid for delivery and installation. When the dishwasher arrived, it had mismatched parts. White and black. So we knew that someone had previously opened the box for some reason. The installer proceeded anyway; promising to return when the matching part arrived at our house. A team arrived three weeks later without a clue. A few weeks after that, we finally got the right part. It was then that my wife informed me that the programmable functionality wasn't working right. I gave her some time to work through that before calling Lowes to tell them that we have a defective machine. It took more than an hour on two separate days to get through to people; one passing me to another. This all resulted in Lowes telling me NOT TO CALL LOWES. I was instructed to try to call Bosch. No matter how hard I tried, the people at Lowes refused to try to help, and refused to contact the manufacturer for me. On my third day of phone calls, I reached a very cooperative person at Bosch who has been helping me fix the problem. Never again will I trust Lowes withan appliance purchase. read more

He had to get a special ladder to get the oversized doors down he made sure he brought down 3 doors for us to view. I'm fairly convinced no one actually works here. Sure, there are people wearing blue vests hanging out, but the most I've ever seen in the store at once is 5. Two cashiers, two customer service staff, and one floater who is ALWAYS tied up with customers. I went to pick up some insulation today and scheduled curbside pickup. I hit "I'm on the way" on the lowes app when I left my house. Drove 20 minutes. Checked in and parked in the spot, notified them I was here. Waited another 20 minutes, nobody came out to tell me the order was getting ready or anything. At this point, I'm already annoyed because before I even left, it said the order was ready for pick up. Went inside to the customer service counter, and informed one of the skeleton crew of the situation. She radios the workers, who say it's being packed. Went out to my truck, waited another 20 minutes. Been running this errand for an hour now. Why the heck does it say my order is ready for pick up, when I've been waiting so long I could have gone in and purchased everything and had it loaded already? This isn't abnormal for this store. They NEVER have enough people here. It's ludicrous. Word of advice, if you're planning on doing literally *anything* here other than going in and grabbing EXACTLY what you need, devote at least an hour of your day to the task itself, and another hour for some yoga or a run afterwards so your blood pressure can go back to a healthy level. I bought a washer/dryer combo because online they said that could deliver the next day.. when I went to the store I was told that I had to wait 7 days and they would call the night before to verify the delivery/installation date. They never called me the night before and all they could tell me at the store was that it was on the way. 5hrs later at 1pm they called and said they be arriving at 2pm... at 4pm I called the delivery number and they didnt answer so I called again and left a message , then at 5pm I called the store in Tukwila and they didnt know why it didnt show up and now the earliest I could get it would be 5 days from now. I dont have the time to deal with people who can't follow through or at least say ,, Sorry, we will be there tomorrow.. so I canceled the order.. Avoid these people! Not a one available. Luckily I had some rope in truck and used it to tie pvc pipe to the top of a basket shopping cart. Cashier says the fella ahead of me, not so lucky as his pipe just kept rolling off. I recently tried to replace a Kobalt 3/8 drive flex head ratchet. The item was broken. Kobalt has a lifetime no question hassle free warranty on their ratchets. No receipt is needed. I get to the store and they tell me that they can't return the item. I explained I don't want a return I'm here to get a replacement. They told me there computer system would not allow them to replace the item. After about an hour and plenty of hassle and having talked to 2 managers the clerk took the item and gave me a replacement. But they made me purchase a new one and they took the old one back as a return. They said that my DL had been blocked for returns. The only other item I ever returned was an electric lawn mower that stopped working within the 5 year warranty. I guess if you use the warranty you get blocked for returns. So much for hassle free warranty. PS It was hassle free to return the $500 lawn mower but a $25 Ratchet was like getting a tooth pulled. read more

My mom and I went to Lowe's during the Memorial weekend sale looking to purchase a kitchen appliance set. We had a guy help us do the paperwork and place the order. Near the time of delivery, we got a call saying that the range that we had ordered is out of stock. That doesn't make sense because we placed an order on it. How can an item go out of stock if we placed an order and it was confirmed? The guy then proceeded to ask us questions, such as if we saw him scan or write down the item number. I don't know... why is he asking us when it's his job and responsibility. Very unprofessional. We ended up having to choose a different range. We're usually patient and understanding that mistakes can happen but not in this case. We had considered canceling the whole order because of our frustration. read more

This is a shout-out to Desiree at the return desk at Lowe's Tukwila. I had just been thru a nightmare with Home Depot trying to get dishwasher I'd paid for delivered to my house. Nothing but run around and not keeping their word to contact me when they said they would. I went to Lowe's Tukwila and had an excellent experience. First of all, everyone is very friendly and helpful. I went to inquire at the returns desk how to purchase the dishwasher I wanted. Desiree found they had quite a few in stock and on sale@ $500 less than H.D. In about 10 minutes time, I had what I wanted and in less than 2 weeks the appliance was delivered and installed. I'm quite sure the delivery/installation would have been much faster but I bought it 2 days after Christmas. I have 2 suggestions for anyone reading this review - #1 try not to make a major purchase around the Christmas/New year time of year. If you do, have patience! #2 shop Lowe's. Wouldn't have made sense, as someone was already in line and I would have had to walk out of self checkout to then wait to be checked out. The tukwila lowes is absolutely horrible. I had three employees here lie to me. All I was trying to do was order an eletric stove to replace my gas stove. Jennifer: While she seemed nice in person. She charged me $160 to have the gas capped for my gas stove. After hearing nothing for days, I called back and was told that lowes doesn't do that work. She said she would call me back to schedule delivery of my stove but she never called back. Sharon: Sharon was the first manager i spoke to on the phone. She said my order was mistakenly marked as a pickup instead of a delivery and she would get with jennifer to change the order and called me back in 2 hours. She never called me back. Doug: Doug was the second manager I spoke to. I explained all of this to doug. He seemed genuinely concerned. He said he would called me back in 1 hour. He never called me back. After trying to get someone on the line... I noticed customer service wasnt picking up anymore and when the appliance department heard my name they hung up on me. I had no choice but to call their corporate line. A nice person there named Nicole finally got Doug back on line and forced him to do his job. I got my stove the next day thanks to corporate. I dont believe this is representative of every lowes as I've had work done by the lynnwood branch for 6 years without problem. However, the incompetence at tukwila is palatable. read more

I have seen some improvements at this Tukwila store. The last two times I was there I got fantastic help in the hardware section and in the paint section. The two young guys that were rude to me in the paint section are either no longer there or I was just lucky to miss their shifts. The addition of the self check out section has helped the flow at the registers and I noticed that checkers appear when a line forms. The manager of this store is improving things at this location. The lady with the multi-colored hair that runs the register in the garden area is very professional, helpful and a pleasure to encounter! read more

Lowes: "Never start improving". Or, at least that's what we say in our house. We recently sold our condo and moved away, but not without delay all thanks to good ol' Lowes. When we started shopping for someone to install wood laminate flooring in our condo so that we could prepare it for sale, we were drawn to Lowes because of their financing options. We were optimistic about increasing the value of our property so that we could attract more buyers and had no idea of the difficult experience that was ahead of us. From start to finish, this job was a disaster. We ran into difficult problems such as snowy weather and incorrect product shipment, but I think the worst part was lack of communication, organization, and basic customer care. They will not take care of you if something goes wrong and they do not care if it does. Every time something went wrong, we had to reach out, call, and even contact corporate, which really doesn't help either. A lot of problems were blamed on the contracting company that they partner with (Seattle Interior Solutions INC) but don't let that fool you. During the whole project, both companies were constantly pinning each problem on another, when in fact, each problem stemmed from their poor communication with each other and also their inability to source reputable vendors for their services. There were a lot of problems, and I don't really feel like writing a dissertation, so i'll just list them: -Purchased carpeting and laminate in July 2018, carpet wasn't installed until October and Laminate wasn't installed until very end of November- but wasn't actually completed until March 2019. That's an 8 month ordeal for an 1100 sqft condo. -Product that was sold to us wasn't actually available, causing the months-long delay -Lowes rep from distribution center tried to send delivery without any baseboards and would have been sitting in our home for 7 months had we not caught the mistake. -Finally received all product on 11/9 -Contractors showed up on random day to install before our product was even delivered. They were supposed to come back on 11/16 but the contracting company representative did not pencil us in their schedule. When we tried to address this the vehemently denied it until we were able to show our phone records in which they eventually retracted and "did not know what happened". We ended up rescheduling for the 30th, which was the soonest they said they had. I asked for an email confirmation the second time. -They were late for install they day they were supposed to come. They had provided a 8am-10am window, but pushed us back because of another project they had before us that did not get finished on time. We did not receive a call or phone update and we had to track someone down ourselves, which was not easy. - They sent one person for the project and he could only complete two areas of the condo in 7 hours. 7 hours, folks. The whole condo is 1100 sqft and all the bedrooms already had carpet installed. -The contractor did not care about our personal belongings and complained about having to move things around or pick up product that was supposed to be ordered but (surprise) it was not. -Lowes sent the wrong baseboards, which was a completely different color, which is one of the many reasons our project was delayed to begin with. -They ended up not doing the spare room closet during the install on 11/30 because they did not order enough product. Our installer asked me to first empty the closet and get it ready for him before he told me this at the very end of the day. Of course when we got everything for this closet it was a different color because they did not have any matching product left. We had BLUE carpet in that closet, by the way. They ended up rectifying this in February, months after the problem occurred. - We ended up caulking bathroom areas ourselves because they did not do that even though that's something that was mentioned previously. Toilets were also leaking when they were put back by installer. It was easy for us to fix ourselves, but didn't we hire professionals to do this for us? -Spaces and gaps were left between baseboards, flooring in various areas of the condo. At one point they took off our weatherstrip (which wouldn't reattach) and left it gaping and open during the harsh of winter. A new one was not reinstalled until February. These were the pivotal points, although I could go on and on about the mistreatment from contractors and employees throughout this process. We are not difficult people. We try to go with the flow and figure things out. But this experience was too appalling not to share to other consumers who might be inclined to do business with Lowes without knowing what could potentially happen to them. Just had a super experience at this Lowe's - the staff were so helpful pointing me to the product I was searching for, helped me load up some very heavy supplies, and cashier even told me to have a great day on the way out the door and I hadn't even been to her register! I have shopped at many of these stores over the years and now will drive 15 miles out of my way to go here (and bypass my usual Lowe's - sorry guys, but your service is painful!). Never order an item on lowes.com for delivery from this store. They marked my order as delivered even though I was waiting all day and they never showed. I called the 1800 number for Lowes and all they could do was "escalate to the store" who in turn never responded and just kept sending notices that the order was delivered when it wasn't. I had some trouble with an online, in-store pick up order and was connected with the store manager, Shawn. WOW! He worked really hard to resolve my issue, and when he was unable to, he found another way to help me out. He was really persistent and responsive with the issue...and it took a couple of months. I also have to shout out Tony, their AMAZING, delivery team member. He skillfully got a big load of sheetrock into my garage despite a low ceiling height so I could close my garage door with the sheetrock inside. It took a bit of time but he was persistent and made it happen. He was also one of the nicest guys I've met.
