Bought a grill at Home Depot yesterday. PAID to have it delivered. Specifically asked if the delivery crew will carry it upstairs to my deck. He guaranteed that yes they would. Well folks, not only did they not bring it up to my second floor deck, but they also did not notify me that it had been delivered right away. They dropped it off on my front porch. And sent me a text telling me it was there. I will not be shopping at Home Depot again. I don't appreciate promises being given and then not delivered. We recently purchased a dishwasher, range and microwave at Home Depot, Lynnwood. Please be aware that Home Depot does not have its own crew of workmen that they send out to install appliances. They farm them out to a huge conglomerate with thousands of contractors who seem to be largely very young and rude, in our experience did not speak English, and have no knowledge of anything except plugging the appliances IN. These contractors have no direct connection to Home Depot, so they are not accountable for their work in any way. I began complaining within a few days of the installations. They installed my dishwasher off the edge of the hardwood floor in my kitchen, leaving a lovely "line" of the previous flooring at the bottom. The dishwasher is slightly narrower than the space, but they did not install any kind of fastener to keep it from vibrating when it runs, so that it ends up falling back off edge of the flooring and crooked in its space. Plugging in the range, they were unaware that there is a component that needs to be added to the plug-in arrangement in houses built in the 1980's. As a result, the other plugs in our kitchen have stopped working and we will have to hire an electrician at our own expense to fix THAT. When installing the microwave, they dropped it, smashing it into a kitchen cabinet and breaking the MDF cabinet coating to pieces. They were unable to find anybody who could fix this without tearing my kitchen apart and removing the whole cabinet. Additionally, they left us with NO OWNERS' (Operating) MANUALS for the range OR the microwave. One of the things that can't be fixed is that, once they got us copies of the manuals, the instructions for the clock on the microwave simply said "some models come with military time only." THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE THAT DISTINCTION WAS LISTED--NOT ON THE BOX, NOT IN THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. We would never have purchased a microwave that only tells time HALF the time, and would have to be removed and replaced to fix THAT. The dept. manager for these kinds of repairs, Rebecca, honestly tried her best to get some kind of action to repair these deficiencies, but in the end, after delays caused by Home Depot's failure to get anything done in a timely manager, the store manager blew the whole thing off, saying "they bought them too long ago" and denied any responsibility. So we have 2-month-old appliances that we have been complaining about for the full 2 months, a crippled kitchen, a microwave on which the clock is not useful--and more money to pay to get it all fixed. read more

So far, this is one of few places I like to go for plants. I love so many selections here. Staff were easy to find and ask for help.

It is just lovely to grab a coffee and browse the garden center. The smells of scented Roses and Jasmine fill the air. There is usually a lovely cashier, Dee waiting to assist with a smile. Today she helped me with the beautiful scented Roses and even grabbed me a box to protect my car on the way out. Dee has been the best associate I have had a pleasure in dealing with in a long time. She is like a Nordstrom quality employee which keeps you coming back. Thank you Dee! read more

Staff is always helpful and will help with ideas to make our lives much easier when it comes to materials for projects, appliances reviews and satisfaction, as well as everything. Prices are also competitive. On the downside, I wish they would take better care of the plants. I have bought several plants and have picked up that were screaming for some TLC. This Home Depot had a price in comparable to stores like Lowe's or Dunn lumber while shopping for some plywood. A huge shout to the general manager David who took his time helping me locate the correct material. The only thing they need improve is the cleanliness and ease of use of their restroom, it's on the store's right corner which can be hard to find. Other than that no complaints whatsoever. read more

The Lynnwood Home Depot is great for small DIY projects such as plants, lumber, electrical boxes, etc. Buyer beware if you want anything larger or technical. We walked away from a $30K kitchen cabinet reface as the salesman wanted 100% payment up front. Past experience has taught me that this in and of itself bad business for the customer, especially contsidering what was to follow for a flooring quote which is the reason for this review. We went to the Lynnwood Home Depot for a $10k quote on flooring our 1,000 sq ft upstairs in laminate and carpet. After receiving the quote we had several questions. After 3 visits to the store, working with a flooring "expert" who knew nothing, actually burped in my face with no acknowledgement, and wanted only for us to sign, pay and go away with no questions. Some of our concerns on the quote was that the square footage of the upstairs was over measured even when adding spoilage %; stairs were left off the quote, molding we did not order was added, several fluff charges were included that were not needed such as 7 door transition strips when there is only 4 transitions. The icing on the cake was the cost of laminate, a special order laminate, clearly states on the Home Depot website that when more than 35 boxes are ordered the price is dropped. There is no mention on the site that this price drop is not valid if you choose them to install. The quote for 44 boxes did not include this reduction and the only explanation we could get was that we were having it installed so the discount didn't apply. ?? On trying to contact people, their defalt is to tell you to call a number, then when you call no one is there and no one will take a message. I had to push to speak to the store manager once to actually get in contact with flooring. Yes, we walked and will not ever consider Home Depot for any large projects now and in the future. They answer any questions I have without me feeling like a bother, they go above and beyond to make sure I have everything I need before I leave the store and ensure me that if I end up not needing something I bought I can return it. It is a new store. I tried to purchase a storm door and was told the installer would contact me in a couple of days. Eight days later they called and said they just got notice of the job. They promised to call back in a couple of days. That didn't happen so after 3 weeks I cancelled it. I guess they don't need my business. read more

Went to Home Depot today at around 8pm. Just like last time when I was there during the day, they were out of carts inside the store. Did the self checkout and the staffs were helpful. More than once, I was there in the morning and saw them doing their meeting by the entrance with warm up exercises, which was pretty cool. May be during the meeting shall remind the guys to keep shopping carts well stocked inside the store. read more

This is a cool location! It's so clean and not crowded which I love, especially in a time of Covid. Being new, it does lack the familiar smell of fertilizer and cut wood, but we'll marinate and get there soon enough! The loss of star is for the growing pain of lack of knowledge. Their other counterparts In the are would also lose a star (or two) but that would be for customer service. However, this store lacks some know-how with, well, home improvements. Had another wonderful Lynnwood HD experience yesterday. I recently ordered several items, including 2 8x10 area rugs. One arrived with a frayed edge, clearing a manufacturing defect and not fixable. When I got to the parking lot, currently using a cane and not moving too fast, I encountered Maria. She loaded the rug into the cart, then pushed it in to the customer service desk for a return. Once there, she had some trouble with the return, and Hanan, Raz (a supervisor) and Liz took over. What should have been a fairly simple matter was made complicated by the new computer system, which has been installed for 1 1/2 years and is still not quite right. No matter, between the 3 of them, I was able to return the damaged rug and order a new one. They handled the frustrating and time-consuming process with grace and humor. Thank you to all of you. I like this location. Easy parking and also close to other places like Costco. I went there yesterday to buy some washers for my tap. The people there really aren't dedicated to help. They should have a measuring tape and maybe a screwdrive to remove the washer, measure it then help me buy the correct item. The person in plumbing looked at the washers that I had picked and he said they should fit. Well they didn't. I will now have to shave off a bit to make it fit. I don't want to drive back to return them for a $4.00 item. Need to hire better people! read more

I ordered appliances refrigerator, washer and dryer and they never were delivered. We went to the Lynwood store and spoke to folks and no one had a clue as to what was going on. After a few visits to the store, they mentioned we need to order panels again and made us pay $400 approx on top of the money we had paid for the refrigerator. Waited for 2 more weeks and still did not get any of the items. Went to the store and spoke to manager Mandel of Lynwood appliances store, she said she did not know what was happening, was very disrespectful and sent us back. Purchased a microwave and paid for microwave, delivery, installation, and 5 year warranty. Total about $700. The microwave was a little less than $400. The crew showed up on schedule and removed old microwave. Upon opening the box, it was discovered that the mounting bracket could not be mounted because it required drilling holes in the granite tile. The lead said his crew was not licensed to drill into granite tile. They said they referred me to Home Depot Home Referral, but a phone call soon revealed that I was not signed up. The rep signed me up and the first Pro wanted $400 to drill and install, twice the cost of the microwave. The Pro told me this happens all the time from all the big box hardware stores. If drilling holes is required, make the crews get appropriate licenses. I had the crew haul away the old microwave. Now I'm stuck with finding a reasonable estimate for installation or hauling the microwave back to the store for a refund. Since today was the 3rd day to cancel my contract and I have no way to safely lift the microwave back into my CRV, I feel I've been ripped off. At time of purchase there was no discussion about drilling into granite tiles. Next stop, BBB. read more

My husband and I walked into the Home Depot before going to Costco and didn't ever need to go there because your associate SAM talked to us right away, assisted us to consider options available for our idea about a new outdoor patio table, and you know what she identified that the best value was a full patio set that turned out to be on sale and that made it possible on our budget to get two smaller cocktail tables too! We are thrilled and she also assisted us to get through customer service to hold the furniture so we could return with our trailer and save on the delivery cost. This was absolutely our very BEST Home Depot experience and I hope that SAM gets both recognized for her job well done and rewarded for her excellent customer service on behalf of your organization.
