Dishwasher never arrived and they put the ball in my court to resolve their problem. Stove was not installed or removed when it arrived, I paid over $1,500 for a missing dishwasher, install of dw and range that never happened $144 and haul away of $80 that never happened. When the driver arrived they banged on wrong door, neighbor said it sounded like they were breaking door down and then "Hey chief we got your stuff here!". Then they proceed to my home after I see them at wrong house, the driver's assistant 1 of 2 assistants did not identify himself, but wandered around the living room and stared at a beautiful lit up fireplace and says "this is a tweeker neighbor" not sure it was a comment or question. I took him to the back sliding door and pointed to houses behind mine $750k to over $1m and said "do these look like tweeker houses? and named all the price ranges and "where do you live" ...and "I am pretty sure we all have high level jobs and or incomes, not sure tweekers can afford these homes unless we are the cartel". Spent three more hours working with five of their six divisions needed to get the appliance to my home...they say "we are chasing around the warehouse to locate the dishwasher, give us 48 hours" called two or three remote people who resolve issues but don't work in the warehouse, they say they will put camera footage of the warehouse load to the truck and to give them 48 more hours after the four hours I had already allowed them 4 of my hours, my time normally bills out at $165 on the hour...I was unbillable my kitchen of which I drove from San Diego to Superstition Mtn AJ to meet up for this appliance specifically in person was wasted...I was unable to complete the kitchen project 14 hours drive both ways...no kitchen completed, broken faucet, and not appliances installed and/or removed...and insulted in the process IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!! Spoke to the store assistant manager Andrew, he said they have a separate "appliance.com" part of HD that has all details, he was nice. Relayed my problem again next day in person when changing out a broken "glacier bay" home depot product to store, to the refund clerk and store night manager, they were both sorry but could do nothing, my 48 hours is now up they have not texted me or emailed me or called me about my missing dishwasher or charges for install/remove. Also when at the store I almost broke out into tears over all the stress that evening but contained myself. Then ..to finish the story...which is now on my bank pending a full credit...the driver tried to get me to sign off for a full ordered products, I made him state no dw, no install and no haulaways, then he told me it was his copy when I went to take it after he signed it, and I said "no my copy must state you did not bring me my dw, etc...oh it is not carbon copied..come on dude I know contract law...what is going on here?" So I helped him write it twice what was not delivered on both his and mine deliver pages....SCAMMERS THESE DRIVERS....I WONDER WERE THEY TRYING TO DEAL ME DRUGS? The driver did mention weed I brought his up....so maybe he was being cool? but this tweeker guy comment....really! NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY THEIR APPLIANCES!!! GO TO LOWES FOR THEM over 10 PURCHASES WITH LOWES 100% PERVECTION EVERY TIME....THE STORE DIRECT PURCHASES HOWEVER ARE FINE. Well I have lost over $500 of my work time billable, could not supervise my work crew. And still they don't care to tell me why and they have my money. My bank is in the process of giving me a full credit. Now I will have to wait till that goes through, get my new DW from Lowes before the 9th when their sale ends....and I AM NOT HAPPY. read more

We had an awesome experience with Tim in appliances. We had to order a tankless water heater online since they didn't have it in stock. Tim was wonderful & made the purchase easy. I can't praise him enough...Home Depot is definitely blessed to have such a fantastic employee. Unfortunately, we also had to purchase a fire extinguisher & took that purchase to the front cashier where my Dad tried to use his military discount. He had military ID, but it wasn't the "right" ID. Mind you, my Dad has always used the military ID card at Home Depot before without issue & he uses it wherever we go. Anyhow, Daniel the manager, refused to accept it. It was obvious my Dad is a veteran, he has a tattoo with his dog tag on his wrist & the navy motto on his forearm along with using a USAA credit card. Daniel wouldn't budge on his decision...not the way to treat a Vet. Then he actually said, "Lowe's accepts your kind of military ID" as if recommending that we shop there. Perhaps Home Depot needs to re-train their managers...In fact, have Tim do the customer service training. Tim went above & beyond to help us, especially since he worked in appliances & not in plumbing, yet still stepped up to the plate to help us. If it wasn't for Tim, we probably wouldn't be customers of Home Depot anymore. read more

I went into the customer survive for a simple exchange, the old man al raised his voice when my husband came to met up with me he then raised his voice to him, him being a vet with a short temper didn't handle al being so rude to me. The staff at this location need customer service training 101. They don't approach the customer to see if they can help, rather they are busy talking to fellow coworkers about non-work related topics. When approached by a customer who needs assistance they responded with verbal and facial expressions that leave the customer feeling as though they are an annoyance. I have experienced this numerous times throughout the store - garden, appliances, draperies, hardware, lighting, etc. Today when I left this store I finally asked myself, why in the world do I continue to shop at a store that is so disrespectful of their customers? Very disappointed with our kitchen remodel experience with Home Depot. We started our buying process in October and it's now 2 weeks into January and we still haven't received our cabinets. We would back out and order with a different company but we have already paid. There have been multiple mistakes from HD. Do not buy blinds from home Depot!! The guy who installed them let me know all that was wrong but he could only write it down but not fix it. I tried to get them fixed and they wanted me to spend more money. That's their solution and the blinds still gap and are not fixed and they were not cheap. read more

I ordered new Lifeproof Vinyl flooring from Home Depot in AJ. I had previous bought Lifeproof flooring from Home Depot for another home I own and installed it myself. It looks beautiful! I got a text that my flooring arrived and went to pick it up. While there I decided to see how much Hm Depot would charge to install it becuz I wanted to keep some of the existing carpet in the bedrms and living room. They would only give me a quote if I paid $50 for them to send someone out to measure which I did pay. They sent a nice man out to measure. When they called to give me the quote the guy quoted me a ridiculously high price including the flooring which I dont need! Ive already picked up the flooring from Home Depot! I told him I have the flooring stacked up at my house and just need a price on labor. He told me he will not quote labor only! He only quotes entire packages! So therefore HOME DEPOT RIPPED ME OFF $50! The rep at the store KNEW I was there to PICK UP MY FLOORING AND ONLY NEEDED A LABOR PRICE! Why would he take my $50 KNOWING there is no such thing as a LABOR ONLY quote!! What a farce!! Goes to show Home Depot only cares about $$$. I might as well have just thrown my $50 on the 60 Freeway!! What a joke!! read more

I must say The Home Depot #404 has left me extremely upset about the management and service levels on how a consumer is treated. Yesterday at 3:00 am my water heater exploded! It was still under the 6 year warranty. Called G.E./Rheem and was advised the water heater was still under warranty, but I needed to go to Home Depot and take the sticker off of the water heater so that it can be looked up. At 6:32 am, I went to Home Depot and was told by a stocker that he would take the information and have someone call. At 7:12 am, I received a call from Tom, in which he stated "The water heater is under warranty, but you have to call G.E./Rheem back and let them know you have spoken to us, and all should be ok to swap out the Water Heater." Called G.E./Rheem back and all was good, and all that was needed is the serial # and model # to give to the associate at Home Depot. Spoke with Jamie, who than verified again all was good. As the new water heater, in which now was a smaller 40 gallon, and not the original 50 gallon transaction was made.....it was now going to be a prorated charge. The cost was $225. Mind you...I needed to be at work, but was extremely dissatisfied because, Hmmmm...this is not what we were told. I called GE/Rheem, and the associate got an attitude and stated that was the fault of Home Depot and there is nothing he can do. Called Home Depot and was told you did not have the original debit card or receipt, so we prorated it. She stated to get the original card number and they can go back 3 years and fully give the amount. Called the bank and was told the card number has not changed, only the expiration date. Called Home Depot back and spoke with Mike. He gave me attitude from the get go. He said to bring in the card number and he would pull up the transaction, but if everyone who had a house and a water heater went bad, but they had no receipt or way to show when it was purchased would get a free replacement. I also told him.."Why are you guys charging $388 for installation and $100 to move my water softener?" He replied."You probably live in Gila or Pinal county." WRONG I live a quarter mile, if that. He then said. "well Mesa has permitting and blah blah." REALLY?! I go into the store and the Associate stated you would get prorated cause it is just like a car battery, you only get so much based on the time it was used. I told her to get Mike. He then took the card info and long behold all of a sudden he could only track a year. I told GE/RHEEM and 3 people representing Home Depot stated we would get a free replacement. I explained that coaching opportunities needed to be done. He told me he worked until 1 am and that I could go in and talk to Jamie myself at 8 am for getting told it would get covered. He said Tom doesn't work for him either or the other guy. I'm furious at this time. I said this is principle now. When I told him I was calling Corporate, I was told to do what I needed to. I called corporate this morning and explained my issue. She apologized, but stated it would be prorated. She got the manager from store #404 Doug, and he didn't seem like he wanted to hear anything. At this point it is not about the money, it's principle that 3 Home Depot reps told me the Water Heater would be replaced. He stated "you aren't getting it for free, and to come in tomorrow (Sat) and I will give you an additional $25 store credit." I told him I was a loyal customer. Did he care? NOPE! Trying to be polite I said.."Have a nice day" His reply, "Yeah, I'm waiting for you to disconnect the call." I WILL NO LONGER USE HOME DEPOT! I found several complaints with the same tactics of information I was given! I have printed and will take to the store when I get my $25. I wrote this review because Corporations and their people need to understand that they have a salary and income coming in because of the consumers. I may only be one, but make it right! YOUR people messed up, I would highly encourage coaching, but take care of those who take care of the business you are running! Thanks but No Thanks read more

What a let down. I usually love Home Depot but I hate this store. Drove 20 minutes to get more flooring every Home Depot has on clearance except this one. Another Home Depot said they would match but they refused. I hope the $300 you would have lost if you would have matched the other stores justifies losing a life long customer. read more

Return policy is a complete joke! I have never had an issue with returning things at Home Depot until now. The third party system they are using for returns is going to be the reason I never buy from them again and order from Amazon. I've spend thousands at Home Depot with all my DIY projects and often buy different things to see which works best for that application or extra so I don't run out mid project. After this experience with their return policy/system(The retail equation) I'm done. No one I talked to could give me any reason for my return being denied and the phone number they give you to call is even more frustrating someone who is rude and is clearly b.s.ing you with lies about this magical system that no one knows anything about. I knew maybe I had a few returns without a receipt but when I ask her to list this I had 2 in 2017, 0 in 2018, 1 in 2019 and the second one of 19 was denied. I ask her would you consider 3 returns in 3 years without a receipt is excessive. It is clear by the way the respond they just want you to forget about it and take the loss. At least Walmart is pretty clear about how many returns are allowed per time period and dollar amount. They say 1% of returns fall into this but from the huge response online about this system that is clearly another lie. Fast easy returns like advertised my A** . They can sure take my money quick but if you lose your receipt you can take a hike. I used to have confidence in their customer service I knew they would take care of me face to face. Horrible for anything beyond what's on the shelf. I have been dealing with a bathroom vanity since thanksgiving. Yep 6 months later and still no progress. Had to call the assistant manager to get this resolved. Even that hasn't been fun. He is incredibly helpful but I have to ask, why did it have to get to this point. Generally very good customer service. One of the older employees was a little gruff with my girlfriend but he probably was having a better day and did warm up to her after a little while during a meeting with another employee to hash out details of a service we needed. Overall, the store is fairly clean, well-kept and directions are always spot on when needing to find items. Other people are correct in that there isn't enough help but I think that's normal when it's very busy (which seems often) at any business. read more

Had a broken roof tile due to a "microburst"? on my home. Trying to get one to match the edge tile of my roof, went to the AJ store (404). Dave Rouse at the contractor's desk advised they didn't carry these replacement tiles, but made several phone calls and finally located a "boneyard" in Mesa that thought they might have one. He went above the call of duty and made me a satisfied customer. Kudos to Dave! Got my tile and fixed my roof! read more

When shopping for new flooring, I wanted to find something that would stand up well without costing me a fortune. The staff in the flooring department was very helpful in helping me understand the difference in the various flooring and how I might expect it to hold up in my particular situation. They were also very helpful in working within my monetary constraints. Ultimately they help me choose a flooring that was much more resilient and cost half as much as what the Water Wind and Fire contractors had recommended. Had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE when I purchased a refrigerator. 2 out of the 4 times they were scheduled to deliver, they did not show up. The other two times they delivered a refrigerator with multiple dents. When I call the appliance department, the phone rings so long that the call gets disconnected. I am now so fed up to the point where I am keeping the refrigerator that has the 3 dents in it because I cannot get through to a human to get a PARTIAL REFUND or a decent refrigerator that has , by chance, no dents delivered. I WILL NEVER BUY AN APPLIANCE AT ANY HOME DEPOT AGAIN. read more

Last week we started redoing our family - The Home Depot on Crismon Rd, has been the business of choice to get paint, oak molding, drop clothes and much more. Today we were looking for something to put on our west facing windows to give us privacy and save on electric bills that would work well with our drapes. Brett Noe was a great help to us. He took the time to explain the different features of various possibilities. Once we made our selection Brett cut the blinds to the width of the windows for not only the family room but also for our two guest rooms (if it hadn't been for Brett, we wouldn't purchased the last two blinds). Brett is a fine example of the staff Home Depot hires - experienced, patient and knowledgeable of their products. After waiting for over an hour for 4 sheets of drywall[after I paid for them] to be brought to the door to be picked up I was a bit disturbed. I guess not as much as the employees. Two of them asked me to please call Home Depot home office to complain about the store manager Scotty. Yes he did screw around and that was the reason for me waiting for the paid for drywall for over an hour. Seems Scotty like to play grab ass[yes he was grabbing and smacking employees butts] with the employees while customers wait for him to get a forklift and get the customers paid for merchandise. I have tried to shop at this store 4 times now. I have been overcharged, ignored, chewed out for trying to check out myself and just in general treated very poorly. The Lowes store is only a mile away and as long as Home Depot Corp keeps idiots like Scotty in management I will be spending my money there[over $8,000 so far this year on home projects]. I am a retired Home repaid, painter person that in years past has spent over 5 Million dollars a year at Home Depot doing work for "Save The Family" organization in the Phx. Arizona area so I am not a newcomer to the Home Depot way of life. I wish they would take care of this store. read more

Horrible customer service!! I just purchased a home near this location and I have been there a number of times and have had nothing but problems. I had to wait over an hour to get a vanity taken down and all the employees i spoke to for assistance were rude. Also went to purchase a grill and it was dented so I asked for a new one. While I was in customer service getting a new one set up for pick up on a different day one of the employees I spoke to on the day of the vanity incident butt into the conversation and was extremely rude ! She had no reason to even talk to us the other employee was already helping us and we weren't having any issues. Only reason I come here is because of how close it is but from now on I will be going to the one on power. read more
