I will NEVER buy paint from HD again. I have 25 years of remodel experience, but HD argues with me over my paint order. Every time. When I come in, I know exactly what color and sheen I want, and they barrage me with questions about what am I painting? Where am I painting it? and basically demand that I change the sheen of my paint to match what their opinion is. I have flatly said, I don't need your help, then they're defensive and insist 'I'm just trying to help you!' It's like if I'm ordering a chicken sandwich at Wendy's, they don't ask me where I'm eating it, and insist I should be ordering the burger, because it's cheaper. FFS. home depot order: 4054 313800 cancellation: 7/8/26 2:21p invoice 7972616 - Cust Svc Rep: Wendy reason below: We are originally ordered Harmony Outdoor Brands Harmony Ryegrass Sod (500 Sq Ft Direct Delivery Pallet) from Home Depot and was told it would arrive in 6 -9 days. I think it was the next day that we got a message that JB had the grass and would bring it the following day. We thought that was odd to get the call re grass delivery so fast. I received a message from JB that said they are bringing the product "Sod Type: Pacific NW Blend Instant Lawn" . that same day that i received the text, I returned Home Depot and cancelled the order. On Wednesday, July 9 JB delivered the canceled order anyway. I Liraine at JB and asked them to pick it up because we canceled the order and the product is still sitting in the same spot, 24 hours later as of Fri 7/10. After over 5 calls to various people on Home Depot's team, the problem (cancelled order of raw blend) is still waiting to be resolved (sitting on our curb). The team that I discussed the problem with include April, Colby, supervisor LJ, and finally Manager Wayne, 2x on 7/9/26. read more

Do not use them for installation services. We had them complete a relatively small flooring install. The work of the installer was great, but everyone else involved messed up, and then tried to blame the installer. There are big sections throughout our rooms that have visibly different tiles. When we realized this, we went out to look at the leftover boxes. Just from what was left, we found 4 different dye lots. When we called the store to complain, they said it's installers fault for not checking. That is not the case. When the materials were ordered, the salesperson should have made sure they were all ordered at once directly from the manufacturer. When the materials arrived, the person in receiving should have verified that they were all the same. When it came time to schedule the install, the install coordinator should have gone to visually verify all materials. We went back and forth with the store for months, because ultimately all we wanted was a discount for it not being what we wanted (couldn't take more time off work to have them rip it all out and redo the whole thing). After not getting anywhere with the store, we contacted corporate, and after explaining our situation, they actually asked "what's a dye lot"... So now were stuck with a $7,000 floor that is partially dark brown, partially reddish brown, partially light brown. I'm not even going to go into the nightmare the delivery process and return of extra materials was... Used Lowe's before with complete satisfaction, and will be going back to them for future projects. Note, the pictures don't even do it justice; it's so much more noticeable in person! read more

Make sure you bring your reading glasses and learn how to read the fine print on every "sale" sign you see. This Home Depot likes to leave up signs that tell you you're going to get a good deal if you buy something from there, so you go there to buy it instead of anywhere else, even though it is out of your way because you're getting a $130 item free with purchase. You get your items and go to the register just to find out that in fact that deal is expired and so instead of giving you the $130 battery, they take $20 off, which doesn't even cover the cost of the tax! What a ripoff... Do yourself a favor and go to a different store if you need a tool and they say it's on sale, because it's likely not going to be true... read more

I would recommend avoiding the tool rentals here - go somewhere else. I rented a tool for a day and Home Depot never logged it back in and over charged me by over $800! I have spent hours trying to get the store to resolve this and nobody seems able or willing to help with this. If you do rent a tool make sure to always document the time and condition you check in and out the tool so they don't overcharge you. Huge headache dealing with this store and I will never go back despite the relatively convenient location. read more

I have been a long time customer. I have a pro account and spend thousands of dollars here every year. My pro account said I had spent enough to get a $50 gift card when it came to me I went to use and it had $0. So they say they are giving you money but really are not. I waited for 60 minutes to talk with a manager who finally made things right but I lost a hour of time. My hour was worth more than the $50. read more

Brought in a brand new cabinet door that my client ordered to get a paint match for a custom mudroom bench. I brought in a very well packaged cabinet door, protected as hell. The fella at the paint desk hit the corner of his scanner on the face of my very new, very white cabinet door, and left a decent sized gouge in it that is virtually urepairable unless I putty and repaint the whole door. Other than that no complaints about the store, but whoever was at the paint desk on Saturday April 11 around 7pm can suck a fat one. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service this location provides. I was so surprised how incredibly versed and knowledgeable the young staff were and so polite!! I am grateful that management instilled good customer service practices into the young hires. I had questions on the electrical topic (the toughest topic as I have experienced in other locations); and the young man understood my issue very quickly and suggested the right product for the issue. very happy to see customer service practices make a comeback. read more

Brand new Home Depot near the Renton downtown area. The great thing about this location right now is that brand new feeling. Everything is perfectly clean and in its place and I hope they can maintain that for a long time. This location is laid out like the other Home Depots so I was able to find what I was looking for very quickly. While they didn't have one item I really wanted in stock, I learned they sell car oil...and at a nice price! I had no idea so that was a lovely find! Everything you'd expect from a chain hardware store - great for the standard stuff, though you're going to have to go to one of the funky stores for your weird projects. This location seems like it might be a little smaller, but that could just be because of how the parking layout makes me feel? Self-checkout machine worked like a dream, and I was in and out in record time. Great addition to the area! read more

There is a brand new Home Depot in a large parking lot in Renton Grady way. I checked the vegetable plants and others...but the price was higher than other similar stores, so I didn't buy it. The store is spacious and clean with a wide variety of products and friendly service. I definitely coming back. read more

Amazing transformation of an older Sam's Club. Great job on making a vacant spot which is now filled with so many people who are needing home improvements in Renton. It's great that we now have a selection of improvements stores in Renton and now we have the newest Home Depot in Washington. Super helpful team and Alfredo assisted us throughout the building and he had good advice and he listened very well to us before he helped us find what we were looking for. Impressed. Free TACOS??? After we found out items Home Depot was giving away free food and drinks we even received a Home Depot hard hat. The free taco became a burrito and it was delicious.
