Moms getting a new countertop this year! Thank goodness for Lowe's. I signed a contract with HD over 3 months ago now only to have them tell Me a week before the counters were to be installed that they can't do it. Well the installer called and told Me. Home Depot didn't, they didn't bother to contact me, i had to call and then they acted like it was my fault. So thank goodness for Lowe's, their also going to get it done within 2 weeks, not 12 weeks to never. Ohh lowes is also getting my 25 windows and bathroom business too. Too bad not one out of 3 people at the HD store could even say they're sorry. 7 days and still no callback from a manager at that store on a larger discount. The store is not what I am complaining about, but their website and online ordering sucks more than I could have imagined. Can't login, every time I do it won't accept my password, so tried doing it without logging in where they send a code... never got any code. Spent about an hour just trying to buy something. Finally called them and that process is tedious and took maybe 15-20 minutes to complete. They are in the dark ages. Tried to return a door that was rusted. Had 2 more brand new doors waiting to be installed pending construction. Since 1st door rusted tried to return all 3. Purchase was over a year ago so understand difficulty of staff. " cant override system". They tried. My issue is big box store not caring about customer. No way to make it right by taking back the doors or even offering a consolation gift card. Would give 0 stars if i could. No wonder only 2 stars. Knew should have stayed away from home depot. Salisbury MD Forward Air Branch. I'm going to post on every outlet I can find about this joke of a company. The absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. From the customer service to the complete joke of delivery people. We ordered a stove from Home Depot the first week of December. Scheduled for drop off on the 18th(yesterday). First time they showed up over a week early with no phone call. We could not take it then. Second time they showed up this past Sunday night. LATE at night. Still weren't ready and also never got a phone call. The actual delivery date was yesterday. Time frame 10:30 to 2:30. Then 12:30 to 3:30. Then it just said they'd be here. Then, they never showed up at all. No phone call from anyone. This morning I call the Tennessee number for customer service. They say they will reschedule to AFTER CHRISTMAS. So, we now have no stove and lots of family coming for the holidays and no way to cook anything. Home Depot just showed that they are the absolute definition of the big box store that cares not at all about the customer. You have ruined the holidays for our family and i have no doubt you could care less. read more

My cousin went to Home Depot to get paint for her kitchen. The staff was great they helped with choosing a color . Well anyway after her purchase she is leaving the store along with other customers she was singled out to see her receipt and the employee had a attitude. Incompetent. Not helpful. Extremely poor management. Online prices do not match in store prices... nor are they honored in the store.

The place seems understaffed, the customer service is poor, and I have had two bad experiences buying defective and damaged appliances from this Home Depot. Whenever I need some wood cut it seems to take forever before someone is available to cut it for me. I bought an LG refrigerator that was on sale for about $2000. It was defective on delivery. A repairman came and fixed it. This was the first of many repairs. The refrigerator was a piece of junk. There was a class action suit against LG because of it. I decided to stay away from LG products. Recently I bought a patio table and a dishwasher from this same Home Depot. It took about 45 minutes for someone to pull the table out of stock and bring it to the front of the store. The dishwasher had to be delivered. The plumber who made the delivery and installed the dishwasher pointed out that the trim was damaged and made a note on the paperwork. I called Home Depot a week later to report the damage. I left a message but they did not return my call. I called the next week and managed to talk to the person in charge of deliveries. Because I had not reported the damage in 48 hours he said that that there was nothing they would do. It did not matter that the person who installed the dishwasher had made a note of the damage on the paperwork. It would have been nice if the salesperson or the delivery man had told me that I had 48 hours to report any damage. I can't fault this particular Home Depot for selling me the piece of junk refrigerator but I can blame Home Depot for stocking the piece of junk in the first place. The refrigerator has been repaired multiple times and now the ice maker is constantly clogged. I do fault this Home Depot for the poor customer service I have received. The store is well stocked and usually has what I am looking for but If I need something other than being checked out at the cash register I often have a bad experience. I am going to start going to Lowes if I need any customer service. read more
