WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! STILL WAITING FOR MY $450 REFUND ZERO COMMUNICATION, ZERO RESPONSES FROM THE HOME DEPOT TEAM/ROBERTA THE COS. JUST AN ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. As of this moment, Home Depot Thornton is literally keeping my money and not delivering the product, and I cannot get any help from them. The Home Depot team, namely Roberta, is simply too unorganized to even be able to process my full refund or return my calls. This has been incredibly frustrating. I ordered and prepaid $450 for a security door at the Thornton Home Depot 5 days ago. First of all, after someone came and took the measurements I had ZERO response so I went to the store in person. I ordered a door from Larry, the door guy there, and prepaid over $450 for the door and install. Turns out the door would NOT have fit my door anyways, but no one called to tell me that. AFTER I PAID I HAD ZERO CONTACT for my door. I called to get a refund. I am still waiting for it to show up in my account, and yet Home Depot still did not refund over $250 for the installation charge. I called and FINALLY got a hold of COS Roberta. She refunded only the door, not the install. So, I called back and left a voicemail. ZERO response from Roberta. I now am going in today to see if I can get my money back. What an absolute CLUSTER. I will NEVER shop here again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THORNTON HOME DEPOT. The staff is friendly but no one takes responsibility for any of this order purchase and I cannot even get my money back for a product they could not install (and never bothered to tell me they could not install) in the first place. read more

First time visiting and using the services here. I had rented a 12' box truck to move some stuff. THE ONLY communication I received from their employee, VINCE, about what payment would be like. 29.99 for 75 minutes and 8 dollars for every 15 minutes beyond that. First time I had rented a box truck. They just got my Id and I showed my proof of insurance then signed for payment. They didn't walk me out to the truck or help me figure it out at all. When I return the truck they bring up that they have to charge me for missing gas. I was completely unaware of that and they charge me 10$ a gallon. If I had known this was the policy I would have filled it up. PATRICK straight up lied to my face and said there's a sticker in the vehicle that says that and that the other employee explained it to me. Insulting my intelligence and making me feel dumb. I brought it up to the useless Assistant Manager GABE and he said oh all I can do is train my guy better and give you $20 off of $260. As I had already had a long day driving that stupid truck and moving stuff around I had no more patience to deal with incompetence. So this is all I feel like I can do now. I'd like to get my deposit back even in store credit would be nice. Because that was the most disappointing service I've ever received. That money doesn't even go into their pockets so I don't understand why they're so adamant about taking the little guys. Our plan was to have Home Depot, Home Depot Measuring Services, and HD's contractor HOM Solutions (along with subcontractors) provide turnkey project management for an 850 ft2 hardwood/tile flooring demolition and new hardwood flooring installation. Most of the staff we worked with were conscientious and trying to provide good customer service; however, the staff were severely hampered by antiquated computer systems that are not integrated between HD, HDMS and HOM solutions. Our communications with each of these entities individually was adequate but it was obvious that communications between HD, HDMS and HOM was poor; our role then became increasingly one of keeping HD, HDMS, and HOM Solutions updated on the project. For example, HDMS had to measure the project 3 times because as part of the first measurement a wall that we demolished was not completely removed and on the second measurement a cabinet was not fully attached to a wall - we were told their "rules" for measuring required that the room be 100% ready for flooring installation; thus the first 2 inaccurate measurements remained in the HDMS system and resulted in faulty price estimates. We had an onsite meeting with the HOM Solutions subcontractor and because of additional charges related to dust control, humidity control, and additional costs to cut tile, we decided to cancel the HOM Solutions labor services. We hired our own contractor and saved over $3000 in labor costs that resulted in a very high-quality finished project. We did not cancel the actual flooring material from HD as that would have resulted in an even longer delay in the project. HD's supply chain and delivery "system" was unable to provide where deliveries were in the system and when the products would arrive. For example, we needed to know when the flooring was going to be delivered so we could schedule our installation contractor. We called the local HD several times in February 2024 to obtain the delivery date; we were told they could not find the order or provide a delivery date. When the flooring finally arrived, the pallet was marked with a placard that indicated arrival at the store on 1/31/24. We also had difficulties executing change orders. This is our second failure using Home Depot for a project. We do not recommend using Home Depot for flooring demolition and new flooring installation. read more

The service desk ladies were amazing. The way they returned all my dead plants that I failed to care for and water was outstanding!! The carefully returned the carcass of a plant I brought in dropping dirt all over and even swept up the mess I brought in with it. I would like to post a -5 star. But If you must shop here please avoid the Asst. Manager Nathan. He is rude, pompous and disrespectful. I purchased a new faucet while building our new home. We completed the build and I had a few left over items. I went to Home Depot, parked and walked straight in to returns. Obviously I had the faucet in hand. It's a large faucet and sealed with a plastics wrap and has an Home Depot shipping label. I didn't have my receipt and explained we built a new home and I had just been issued a a new credit card due to a lost card. Basically Nathan said "Nope. Can't be returned. Have a great day". I was confused and again explained that I didn't steal the faucet, I wanted to return it and store credit would be fine. It's only $179... Nathan responded "K. Bye. Have a great day". Super humiliating.... He should have looked at my email and noticed that I have spent over $11,000 there in the last 2 months!!! Being accused of being a thief is wrong and no one should just judge you based on your "cleaning house clothes". I was confused and scared but headed to Lowe's (new one on 287- 5++++ stars there btw) to return a sink. The man at Lowes said "no problem and returned the items. I feel like this is one of the better Home Depots in town. At least the hardware section here is usually somewhat organized. The lumber section is also somewhat organized, more so than many other Home Depots I have been to. The garden section seems to have a good inventory of most everything that you expect to find here. The store is laid out slightly different from most of the Home Depot's, but if you have the Home Depot app or you shop here frequently, everything should go OK. Seems like the staff is friendly enough. I've never had a problem finding somebody to help me out at this Home Depot. There are worse ones in town and there are better ones. read more

I went to the store and the customer service lady was very nice. They had nothing in their system so she made a call and all they said was they were BOTH damaged. I attempted to return around $180.00 worth of items with a receipt yesterday. However, for one item ( 20amp breaker, $15.55) I did not have the receipt so I asked for store credit as I have done in the past. My return was denied and I was referred to a company called The Retail Solution who told me I have returned 5 items without a receipt at Home Depot in the last 7 years so that was the reason, granted I had the credit card the item was purchased on at the time of the attempted return, but this didn't matter. I looked back at what I have spent at home depot for a basement finish project I recently completed and it totalled $18,553 in 2020 alone. So all in all, Home Depot will be losing a very good customer as I will make a habit of only shopping at Lowes from here on out. I was a loyal customer who was made to feel like a thief. Probably my worst experience with any retail store. On April 16, 2020 I placed an order online for fence material. I can't move into my home until I have a fence built for my dogs. When placing the order it did not give me the ability to select a delivery day due to COVID19 and said that a member would be calling within 24hrs to schedule a delivery day. I didn't hear anything for 3 days and figured they were having issues due to the current situation. I finally decided to call and the women I spoke with at the N Thornton location said that it was my fault for not selecting a day. I explained what happened and she said that she wouldn't be able to deliver until April 27, 2020. I understood given the COVID19 situation. She set April 27, 2020 with a 14hr delivery window of 6am-8pm. April 26th came and I checked and it showed the same day and delivery window. I took the day off of work as it stated that an adult had to be there. Again, I can't move into the house so I woke up and drove to the house so I could be there for the full window in case it came early. I checked online again and again it showed the same day and times. I called the N Thornton location in the morning to confirm and was told that they couldn't confirm times but that my window was from 6am-8pm. I asked if she could give me a better idea of times and she said no and then hung up on me. I kept checking on the internet and it stayed the same. I waited at the empty house from 6am-7pm. The store was closed at 6pm so I called the 800 number. I was told that the day was changed to May 4, 2020. I didn't receive a call, email, text, letter, absolutely no form of communication at all. This is a $3000 order that I already paid for in total on the 16th as well as the $89 express delivery charge. Worst retail experience of my life. I have been a die hard Home Depot customer my entire life. Myself and my entire family will never step foot in a Home Depot again. They will not receive another penny from me. read more

We live on acreage... and that means we buy a TON of stuff from this company. In addition, we had a major remodel last year where our general contractor used our credit card often several times per day to purchase items that they needed to complete the remodel. Utimately the credit card got corrupted and we had to have the card reissued, meaning that any of the purchases couldn't be looked up on the store registers for returns purposes. Now we had quite literally hundreds of receipts, and finding individual receipts for items was an impossible task... so we returned several hundred dollars without receipts for store credit when it was all done. Eventually at the end, Home Depot blocked any returns for store credit... and I sort of understood. But the reality was that we purchased about 10k worth of stuff and returned maybe 1k, that we didn't need (in perfect condition). So here a FULL YEAR LATER... I go to return an unopened bag of Scotts fertilizer to a store where I know half the employees and visit weekly, only to be told that we're still blocked from returns without a receipt. Well.... here's a gigantic screw you to HD! Lowe's is just around the corner, and frankly Amazon does a pretty good job of bringing stuff to my home too! So you know that brand new $599 Honda Lawn Mower I was about to purchase... I can get that delivered free, right to my stinking door for less than at the store that has such miserable customer care policies. So HEY HOME DESPOT.. you can kiss my rosey red rump from here on out. read more

They said they would reorder but no one ever answered the phone, or called back. Very bad customer service. I've realized over the past several years that your experience with Home Depot depends on 2 very important factors: a) the employees who happen to be working when you walk through the door, and b) whether you're getting supplies or buying services (window instillation, etc.) I've had more than one awful experience with Home Depot installations. I would never recommend them for installing windows, appliances, etc. However, I've had some great experiences when I want to buy supplies. Depending on who happens to greet you at the door, you can get some friendly, helpful service. There's almost always someone on the floor who can help you find what you're looking for. As a mom, this location is particularly awesome. Most Home Depots do a Kids Club on the first Saturday of each month (it's always free). I LOVE that. This location, however, has a craft or activity every Saturday! My kids absolutely love it and ask to go to Home Depot for these activities. If you're a parent I highly recommend checking it out. In summary, NEVER use Home Depot if you want them to do an in-home service. Ugh. But if you're shopping for flowers, wood, hardware, ceiling fans, or anything you can install yourself, this is a good place. read more

I drive the extra few miles to get to this store. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and hugely helpful. My husband and I do a lot of home improvements, and have found that every time we have a question, the associates at this store help. Everything from lumber, baseboards, paint, landscaping, materials, you name it. The associates know the store like the back of their hand, and know the other associates and their strengths. If they cant answer a question, they know who to direct you to. Lastly, the store has hired enough associates so that I am never roaming aimlessly looking for someone. They are all over the store, generally have a smile on their face, and a good spirit. They will price match Lowe's too. read more
