Delivered a new Speed Queen Washer. Delivery guy, Emir, couldn't get it to work and asked if I wanted him to take it back or if I wanted to trouble shoot it a little more. He said if it didn't work, he would expedite my order and get me a new one. I offered to trouble shoot it by leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes. That did not resolve the issue. I called the store and they REFUSE to bring me a new washer regardless of what the driver/installer told me. They said I have to find and PAY for a repair person to come out. It took him all of 10 minutes to discover that the install was muffed. Loose wire on L2. All better. It took 12 more days from initial installation without burners to get a quick fix done. We purchased a refrigerator from this location. The first one we purchased was supposed to be a floor model that they showed us pictures of. It had two dents in the back. When they delivered it, it looked like it had been through a tornado. I rejected it and decided to buy new-inbox. When that refrigerator was delivered, it had a dent on the door in the front. I contacted them right away and let them know. They said they would contact the manufacturer and have a new door sent out to replace it. Six months later, I am still getting the runaround from this company. They do not call back after I call and check on the situation and they use excuses that they have not heard from the manufacturer. Having warranty issue. My wife Kim has left 3 messages with no return calls. This has been our experience with any service related requests. Our dryer which is still under warranty caught on fire which is a major safety issue, the service tech inspected and agreed that it should probably be replaced. We had a wonderful first time experience at Appliance Factory in Longmont, CO. Daniel and Jonathan helped us get a freezer for an amazing price within our budget. We attend a pediatric lymphedema camp each year along with other families from all over the country. The camp is put on by a non profit organization with a limited budget. Many of the kids that attend this camp have a variety of different nutritional needs, so this year they chose to make all the food for camp in order to accommodate those nutritional needs (hence the need for a freezer). Jonathan and Daniel took all of the information we gave them and worked with us to find the best freezer to meet all the needs of the camp. Why buy a used one when you're really not sure if anything is wrong with it when you can buy a brand new one for this price! Identical item was $400 more at big Home Improvement stores in town. Appliance Factory / Mattress Kingdom, Longmont, CO Because of my VERY POOR EXPERIENCE purchasing an LG dishwasher from Appliance Factory, I recommend that you NOT USE THIS FIRM. After running the appliance just once, while empty, as recommended by the installer, Matt, I decided to return the dishwasher and upgrade to a more expensive unit. I called the Longmont Store and spoke to the manager, Martin, stating my desire to return the dishwasher and purchase a more expensive unit from Appliance Factory. I was told by Martin that the Appliance Factory does not take returns and that I had been told this by the salesperson. (N.B., Martin did not ask the salesperson given Martin, and I were on the call together). I was also told the invoice clearly states the store does not take returns. 1. The salesperson, Daniel Champion, never informed me of the 'no return' policy. 2. The invoice statement, shown below, fails to declare that the company does not take returns. It states "(1) All cancellations and returns are subject to a restocking fee, at Appliance Factory's sole discretion, of up to 50% of the price of the product." Martin, the manager, said he would submit a letter to corporate requesting an exception. Two days later, I called the store and learned that Martin had left and that Jasmin was the new manager. Jasmin stated that the company always rejects requests for returns but that she would submit a letter and call me back. One week later, having not heard from Jasmin, I called the store. Jasmin did not remember the request. After providing my phone number, Jasmin located the request. She stated that the request had been denied, no reason given. I then asked if I should call the "President's Hotline" listed on the invoice. Jasmin stated that the President's Hotline would NOT go to the president, rather the call would be routed back to her. I strongly encourage others to not to do business with the Appliance Factory because, in my opinion, the customer service is extremely poor, and the store policies, as stated, are misleading. read more

I purchased a new oven at the Longmont, CO store. The oven delivered on February 4th had a "blemish" on the control screen. I reported the issue to the store on February 5th and was told that a service request would be issued. On February 10th, a repair company replaced the oven's control panel, but the induction portion of the stove stopped working. Another technician came back on February 12th and replaced the control panel again; however, now the oven will not power on at all and is completely useless. The Longmont store manager informed me that a return is being processed, but there is no timeline for when/if the approval will happen. I spent almost $1700 on a non-functional oven and have subsequently filed disputes with my credit card company and the Colorado Attorney General's and the BBB office but no one seems to care. No one at the Longmont store is willing to help rectify this issue, only saying they cannot issue a refund without approval. I have left voicemails and sent emails to the corporate office and all have gone unanswered. The lack of communication from this company and and unwillingness to rectify this is disgraceful. read more

It broke in June which isn't their fault but maybe they can offer some type of price relief if I order another one but they didn't. I order another one and they call me from the house saying the doorway is too tight to bring it in. They also say the plug is not the right plug (it's supposedly a stove plug) and will be dangerous if we plug the new one in but they just plugged another in there in February?? Not sure how that all works out. I call the manager and they explain we need to get an electrician in there to change the plug but they will install it and not plug it in. OK, I say and get the plug changed. I then find out they just left the dryer in the hallway. After two more calls, the manager asks us to take door measurements and maybe they can schedule to have someone come out and install. They are not problem solvers if you need someone to come in and do a professional job without headaches. Find someone else..... read more

A few years back I went to this location and bought a dishwasher and a microwave. The service and sale person was very friendly, respectful, and helpful. I found the delivery guys to be very great as well. My recent experience was nothing like that. I was looking for a new oven/stove, and refrigerator. I was looking to buy today, and spend anywhere from $4-6k. I like to be able to look around a bit and I'm more than willing to ask for help when I need it. I like to go at my own pace. As the guy that's going to drop the coin I hate aggressive sales people. If I need you I will ask for you. As I walked in the store was empty, other than four sales guys at the register stand. They looked at me like I was a gazelle and they were lions. It was awkward, and only got more awkward. The main lion, I assume,the one with the different colored shirt, couldn't wait to get out from the stand and greet me. I said I was just looking, and would ask if I need something. Then the follow up questions, "what was I looking for", I lied and said I didn't know just to get him to settle down. At this point he is now standing about 10 inches from me. "What can I help you find" still less than a foot from me. I said I'm just looking, again to get him to get away from me. His tone wasn't very friendly, more aggressive. And lastly "what do you need today". I said "nothing" and turned around and walked out. Man, he missed out as I was ready buy. If he would have just given me a bit of space he would have had a pretty good sale to start his month. I gave him all the signs of just get away from me, and he ran through all of those stop signs. The worst part was he said something to me as I was walking out, and I heard one of the other guys chuckle. My boyfriend and I went in here looking for a dryer, the heating component had gone out in ours. A gentleman by the name of Nick helped us and he was very informative and helpful! We were searching in a specific price range since we were not prepared for our dryer to go out and he was very accommodating. We initially were going to have the new one delivered and the old one picked up, the delivery driver showed up and the incorrect one was on the truck. We called Nick right away and his customer service was superior, he told us to come right on down to the store and he had a model in the showroom we could have for an additional small upgrade in price and we could leave our old dryer there as well. This model had some damage such as side dents and so on which we were aware of but cosmetics did not matter to us, we just needed something that worked! We got it home and this one was also not drying the clothes. Upon further evaluation of the dryer, it looked like it had been dropped pretty hard. We called Nick again and he was very understanding and a little embarrassed by the company, he couldn't believe this was happening. He told us to come right back down and he would have a brand new one, out of the box, ready for us to pick up and take home! We got this one home and it worked great! Even though there was a lot of going back and forth, trying to make things work, Nick was an amazing employee to work with, making us feel very welcomed and like we were part of the Appliance Factory family! He was very concerned about making things right and making the customer the very first priority! I would come back here for anything else and definitely ask for Nick again, he was a pleasure to work with and the company as a whole definitely puts their customers first! We called again a few hours later and were told it was lost. The manager contacted us the next day and was very apologetic... he said they had found it, that it would be delivered the following day, and that he would refund our delivery charge. I was lucky to have been greeted by Lily when I walked in the front door to look for a refrigerator, washer and dryer. I did not expect the level of professionalism demonstrated by Lily when I stopped by an new/used appliance store. This girl knows her stuff, was extremely consultative, and guided me to the right products for my new home. Lily walks the walk- is honest, caring and educated. After I purchased the refrigerator, washer and dryer and set up delivery I went back and measured the space for the refrigerator. Turns out that the refrigerator I bought was going to stick out much further into the kitchen and would look funny. I went back to Lily a week later (but before delivery) and explained the issue. She was "on it" and showed me options with "counter sized" refrigerators and altered my re-purchase with nothing but pleasantries. I ended up buying a bed for my guest room?!! I just wanted to give her my business. Later, when Lily made the price adjustments and after I paid- she reviewed my order carefully with me and identified that she had been approved by her manager to give me a $40.00 reduction for the delivery charge, but failed to generate the reduction on my re-purchase. So she cancelled the initial charge and re-charged me for the lower amount. My purchase was several thousand dollars and I could care less about $40.00 dollars at that point in time, but I cherish Lily's integrity to assure my financial interest was protected. Besides all that, Lily made buying home appliances fun! She is a treasure and I hope The Appliance Factory appreciates her as much as me. We had a super tight timeline to replace our old washer and dryer and we quickly found out that if you go to the mass DYI home merchants, you have to wait about 2 weeks for delivery. We purchased here on Wednesday and they delivered on Saturday. We purchased top of the line products and are extremely happy. We were also very happy with the staff who helped us pick out our washer and dryer. They knew everything about the products and could help us evaluate which brand and model would work best for our needs. I will go back here for our next appliance needs. read more

Possible the worst buying experience of my life. From my experience, any money that you might save will be taken by lost time dealing with their customer service and fixing their installations. I purchased a range top stove and washer from AFO in 2013. The installation team left a 1/8" gap on each end of the range top and told us that they don't worry about how the product looks and that the price just included a basic installation. We paid $300 to fix the installation Now even worse...the washer's three-way valve was over tightened during installation and the gasket leaked water that flooded our basement carpet. After three months of AFO ignoring our visits and requests for resolution, AFO said that our claim was denied and that we could "talk to their lawyers" if we wanted to have any further conversations. From my experience, I would not recommend trusting these folks with any of your business. Please see my case with the BBB for more updated information. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! They don't deserve a 1 star! Buying my appliances from Appliance Factory has been a horrible compilation of experiences and I will never go there again. After over 4 weeks I finally received most of my appliances - however the installation still hasn't been completed! The first range was defective and was 1/2 black stainless and 1/2 stainless (top half of the stove was from a different stove). The 2nd stove was delivered defective and the control panel didn't work. The 3rd stove hopefully is the charm. It took over 3 weeks to get the dishwasher hooked up after it sat in the kitchen for over 2 weeks. The delivery charges are outrageous and then you are charged an extra $25 because the delivery men had to walk up a 1/2 flight of stairs. THEN the delivery crew expected a tip EVERYTIME and they were there 5 TIMES (he kept pointing at the tip line and even said, here is where you put the tip)! Customer service at the store is extremely unhelpful and trying to schedule the delivery is a pain in the ass. Who doesn't have to work and can be available 5 different times for 2-hour windows?? - RIDICULOUS. I will never go to this store again and am telling everyone I know to avoid it at all costs. I planned on purchasing a washer and dryer from there too but decided against it because of how unqualified and inept everyone is there. I went to home depot instead, got the same price for the same set, which also included FREE delivery, and everything was super smooth. UPDATE - We found out that the splice for the water supply for the refrigerator/freezer was assembled on the HOT water, instead of cold. WE PAID $100 for that. Everyone we have dealt with at this store, especially the manager Mike and the sales rep Sean is 100% incompetent. I received a feedback request via email where I described the nightmare of dealing with this store and Mike called me immediately to "make things right". He scheduled to have someone correct the water supply for the refrigerator/freezer to come from the cold-water pipe (instead of the hot). The technician shows up this morning and DOESN'T have the necessary parts or supplies to correct it! AGAIN - we reorganized our day to make sure that someone would be home! I worked with Lawrence Valdez this last time and was so impressed. The best thing he said was ," I really love it when its wensday evening, someone needs a dishwasher and only has 150 bucks till payday and I can get them something good for that." This place doesn't even deserve 1 star! Went to this location to buy a refrigerator. Was told by a salesperson by the name of Kent that if we financed the refrigerator, we'd get a $100 rebate. Left with paperwork. Went to their location in Denver, bought a more expensive refrigerator, they updated the financing & we got a delivery date. The following week I called about details on the $100 rebate & left a message for Kent. He called back & left a voicemail stating the $100 rebate is being processed & that we'd get it in a visa gift card. Its been a month, several messages left for Kent with no return call. Called a manager, spoke to Richard who says "we don't offer $100 rebates but I'm emailing with Kent who is at the corporate offc. & oh...sorry he's not returning your calls, he's at corporate 4 days a week" Kent finally calls back and denies EVERYTHING!! I had to do all of the research to find the right stovetop ventilation hood because the salesperson was completely stupid and not listening to my needs. A long time passed and I had almost forgot about ordering the vent, so I called them and lo and behold - it's sitting in their warehouse! Then, after I specified the guy who I wanted to install the hood, someone else shows up at my door unannounced (they didn't even let me know when the appointment was going to be and it was a month after I had called them to find out where the product was). A total fiasco. I asked for my money back but they said it was a special order - so I called Mountain High Appliance and ordered the product and install from them. The worst experience we ever had, they didn't install our dishwasher correctly and after 2 months my drain hose stop working, they crushed the hose and when I called them, they told me to find my own parts and they will come and fix, after I already payed for installation. Bought a Samsung washer and dryer. After removing the packaging it had a dent, which we were told might be possible. Tried to use it in the new house, the dryer makes a horrible sound. Sent pics and emails to the store manager, who said he would replace it either way, but needed Samsung to try first. Samsung saw the damage, authorized a replacement, and two weeks later, Richard, finally responds to my email and says he can't do it! So I'm left to contact a Colorado lemon law attorney. I have emails, phones calls and pictures. Such a BS way to operate with customers. We didn't do anything but support a local business, and now have an $800 piece of trash dryer that's brand new! Buy your appliances from anywhere but here. We've been wrangling with this company and with Brand Source for weeks. Our new stove arrived with 2 burners missing. The installer cut our granite countertops with a saw (and extracted an additional $600 from us), and now there is an obvious gap between the stove and the countertop. That installer left without turning on the stove. He left the blue tape and wrapping materials on it. The next installer arrived a week later, without parts. He removed the blue tape and wrapping materials and left. The third installer arrived 5 days later with the wrong parts. I just ordered the parts we need from Jennair's web site, so we can complete the installation ourselves. DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more

We had a very nice buying experience, and a beyond terrible install process for a dishwasher. The scheduled delivery was two weeks out, and despite calling them multiple times, several days in advance, they forgot to schedule an actual installation window and asked at 9AM the day of our quoted installation day if we could leave work to come home at that moment for the install. When I gave him a window later in the day, he didn't call me back until I received a call from the sales group saying I had cancelled the delivery and had to wait another 2 weeks for installation (note this... they said I cancelled the delivery, not the installation guy, who never called me back). After pushing and basically threatening a refund (which is what we should have done in the end), we were able to schedule the install for the following day. However, the installer was 2 hours late (despite our being the first stop), and he charged us $75 beyond the quoted installation price (making installation half the price of the unit?!?!?). So, all the money we saved by shopping here was spent on the installer. Do yourself a favor and shop ANYWHERE else. This place is the epitome of a bait and switch. read more
