    Brazil Bowl - must try!
    Nina M.

WOW just wow! Driving through on a road trip and was crazy something fresh with protein and soooooo happy we stumbled upon this location. The Hopper is located in a main part of the town with live music and surrounding restaurants. We grabbed a Brazil bowl and a large serving of tots. The Brazil bowl was mind blowingly delicious and so filling! Steak, rice, corn, beans, and other fresh ingredients that made it flavorful and filling. The tots? Lord the portion size was massive! More than enough for two people and they come with amazing two sauces. They have a good amount of seating inside and many beverage options.

This is a must try adorable restaurant tucked within the beautiful Walking Mall! We were warmly welcomed at the counter by Chelsi who was so helpful & kind!! I asked her for a couple recommendations & decided to go with the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad...I can honestly say it was the BEST salad I've ever had!! My husband ordered the Ribeye Cheesesteak sandwich with tater tots & he ate every bite! It was so juicy & flavorful!! Chelsi not only took our order but delivered our food & often checked in on how we were doing. She was amazing!! In our opinion the best little lunch spot in Helena!!

A delicious experience! We came here for lunch as a group of 6 of us. We were welcomed warmly! Great sandwich options. Lots of drink options. Definitely a spot to come back to again and again.

After 3 nights camping and eating backpacking food. All I wanted was a salad. This place popped up with great reviews and tons of picture of the steak bowl. We decided to come on down to grab our own. The steak bowl was very delicious, probably the best ever. I wish I lived closer so I didn't have to try to recreate it at home. We ordered the large tots, which was enough to feed like 6 people. Would def be back if ever in the area.

Loved this place Atmosphere: clean, modern, and had art hung up which was really cute. It is not full service, you order at the front and then they bring the food to your table Food: i really enjoyed the food here! The goat cheese was to die for, had to order extra balls. Very healthy, and great options. I will say that the falafel dish is under appetizers but it felt more like a salad than "tapas" Service: every single worker in this place, was so nice and went out of their way to make sure you were doing well, even making small talk and picking up empty plates despite it not being full service HIGHLY recommend this place for a healthy meal !

The staff were very friendly and attentive. You order at the cashier and get a table number. Our cashier walked me through all the gluten free options that could be done for items on the menu and was so kind to share what would and would not have cross contamination. The food itself was really flavorful and I will for sure be on the lookout for the hot sauce! As we left we were thanked and told to come back again. Such a cute little diner to hit while at the Gulch!

My favorite new restaurant in Helena! Their Mediterranean bowl is awesome and they are very accommodating for dietary restrictions.

I went with the Korean Beef Broccoli bowl, and it was DELICIOUS, really savory and flavorful (paired nicely with a sweet drink!) The lady who worked the counter was super sweet, and immediately stepped away from cleaning to assist me. She even complimented my name!! Great service, especially since it was pretty close to close. All in all, it was a really good experience. I'll definitely be back again!! (Especially since I really wanna try some more, like the Asian Pork bowl and the Fried Chicken sandwich )

The ambiance was very minimalist, and the dining room was basically empty when we arrived. Again, the food looked better than it tasted. There was nothing objectively wrong with the food, it was just not great if that makes sense. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was crispy, hot, and fresh but the flavor just wasn't there. The breading was good but that is where the flavor stopped. The waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and they even used real maple syrup! But again the flavor was just lacking for some reason. We ended up taking half of our food home with us which is NEVER a good sign. I might give this place another shot on a different day. Also, the coleslaw on the chicken sandwich had no flavor which made the sandwich even less impressive. Nothing to see here in my opinion.

Once I saw it on the menu I had to get the GIGANTIC PRETZEL (GP). It was gigantic and it was a pretzel. Great crispy outside and soft warm perfectly cooked inside. Get it, you won't regret it. We all loved it and the queso and hot mustard were a great match. I had the wings, buffalo sauce, and it came with fries. Both were really good. So much food I only ate 4 wings and 1/2 the fries. GP still weighing heavy in my gullet! The Wife had the Classic Mac and Cheese - nice taste but Luke warm instead of hot. Should have sent back to warm up. Her choice. The Kid had the brisket sandwich and garlic parm fries. The sandwich was so big., she ate 1/2 and hardly touched her fries. The fries were delish, as I had to sample a couple for review purposes. The Friend had a Buffalo chicken salad and The Other Friend had enchiladas. Both enjoyed their meals and had leftovers as the servings are generous. Great Time. Great Food. Great Service. Go! Eat Very Well!! HAVE FUN!!!

The host seated us; informed us of the timing when giving us the menus for dinner service. The menu is vast for dinner with multiple appetizers, salads, pasta options and main courses. Added to that is a great wine list and a 'special' list as well. Unfortunately for me, the timing of our arrival meant the stuffed grapes leaves were not available (they were being made when I requested and needed time to marinate and chill), so..I chose the tapenade with veggies being a GF gal. Delicious choice!! Hubby wanted dessert- our host/waitstaff was able to secure the last piece of carrot cake for him which was absolutely delicious! Wine choice for me was a French Sauvignon Blanc- perfectly chilled, excellent wine. An amazing mid day snack for us with excellent service and food!

Every sauce we tried was bitter -- the hummus, baba ghanoush, and even the tzatziki, which is usually a safe bet anywhere. The baba ghanoush in particular was shockingly bitter, nothing like what you'd expect at other Mediterranean restaurants. The meats were bland and under-seasoned, and overall the food lacked balance and flavor. On top of that, the atmosphere was incredibly off-putting. We could clearly hear cooks and waitstaff talking trash and making inappropriate, disrespectful comments. It was uncomfortable and honestly felt more like being at a Waffle House at 3 a.m. than a sit-down Mediterranean restaurant. It feels like the menu needs to be tasted and adjusted by someone who actually understands Mediterranean flavors, and the staff needs basic professionalism. Even the bread could be good with a small tweak, but everything feels slightly off. We kept coming back hoping it would improve, but after this visit, we're done. We won't be back.
