LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the food at the Hopper! EVERYTHING that I have tried here had been DELICIOUS. Just had the Poutine last week and OMG... tasted so good! The Ruben is my Favourite-both the pastrami and the beet are soooo DELICIOUS. I also like the wings, grilled cheese, cheese steak, fried goat cheese salad, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, miso candied bacon BLT, and the list of deliciousness goes on and on!! The grab and go market is great too-good salads, Zesty Kombucha, farm fresh eggs, and other goodies!! They also have wine, draft beer, and other cool libations in a case near the checkout. Super yummy! My friend and I both couldn't decide between the Brazil Bowl and the crispy goat cheese bowl so we split them both. Both were delicious! And they were nice enough to split the plates for us. If I had to choose 1 I'd get the Brazil bowl because it's more substantial. The goat cheese bowl is more like a salad. Friendly service. Fries were great. I had the BLT. Pretty good. I couldn't decide if I liked the tomato jam. It was somewhat like tomato paste with some seasoning. In a great location right next to the Parrot on Last chance Gulch. New and very clean and orderly except for the Made in Montana food display which is actually a bit dreary. Who wants to buy lentils to take home? Where is all the yummy stuff such as candies, popcorn and cookies? Montana produces tons of snacks. Great burger, but the fries are cut too thin for me. When the hopper first opened we definitely had mixed results with the food but I can now say they have definitely perfected their craft. Their Montana Ribeye Cheesestake sandwich will fulfill your craving for an authentic Montana bite with its rich and meaty profile supported by a very nice sauce and bread combo. Speaking of sauce I truly recommend their housestyle sauce on the fries and tots, it is a perfect sauce to compliment their fries and tots. Easily 7 out of 5 experience. With time to explore, a local made this recommendation and it blew me away! I'm generally an experimental eater - I'll always order something I would not eat at home and the menu was filled with tasty sounding options. I ordered the Fried Goat Cheese bowl. It is truly a feast for the senses. Bright and beautiful to look at - all ingredients incredibly fresh and tasted wonderfully. If I could give this place more stars than 5 I absolutely would! We were traveling from out of state and after being turned away from 2 other restaurants in the area because we didn't have a reservation, we ended up here. And in hindsight, I'm so glad that happened! First off the staff was incredible! They were so kind and helpful even though we had a million questions about the menu. They gave us some of their recommendations and we ordered. We also ended up getting some local brews to drink while we waited. Food came out fast and looked amazing! But for how good it looked, it tasted even better! My daughter had the kids grilled cheese and our entire family swore up and down that it was single handedly the best grilled cheese we had ever had! My husband had the fried goat cheese salad bowl and that was mind blowing! Every piece of food that was on each of our plates was better than the last bite! I am so sad to have to leave Montana in a few days mostly because this is THE BEST FOOD we have had during our entire stay in the state! read more

My son and I were excited to try this new place, the menu offers some creative options that sounds great. The food we had was good, the huckleburger was decent, the Bao tacos were tasty but just ok on our scale. The larger issue is the sense of value. The food is pricey but you feel like you are in a fast food place. The utensils are plastic and the tiny ketchup go your fries is in a togo container. With some tweeks I think this place could be great. We will try The Hopper again sometime in the future, but not the near future. read more

I love coming here for dinner with friends. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the service is always great. We have tried a few items on their menu, and I have liked every one of them. There are special touches like the Brazilian bowl with local beef and that chimichurri sauce...yum. The huckleburger and cheesesteak are filling but really good. The place is loud, there is no service to speak of(although they solicit a tip). We ordered the Bao Bun Tacos for $13. They are barely and appetizer. Very little meat and no sauce. The buns were soft but not particularly flavorful. They didn't have much in the way of things to drink except beer. I suppose some might think it a hip place, but I was unimpressed. read more
