a view of a lake and boats

Service was good. Beautiful view of the lake from the bar.. Drinks were okay. Food was good. Would definitely recommend because of the view.

He stayed at the hotel and the bar was near the lake . Not a bad place but mostly bar food and mixed drink for 12 bucks didn't have much booze in them. But still there's a nice view and good company.. the staff is great and a good time.

Never knew about this place until we heard about it from a friend. There isn't a sign for it at the street. It's attached to the Surfside. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. Will be back for drinks. Seems like a great place to hang after the sun goes down, they were setting up for live music as we left.

How to find the place.

There are dart boards and shuffleboard table, which were not in use. Our server was attentive and friendly, as were other staff we interacted with. Beer menu is extensive as you would imagine from the name, and they also have a separate cocktail menu (but we did try). Food was very good. I had The Cask. As long as you like goat cheese, you should like this sandwich. I loved it. Other meals included the pulled pork sandwich and Reuben. All were good. The order of garlic and rosemary fries are very crispy - good for snack or just pair with some beers. Overall, decent place and service. I would return!

We stumbled in for a late bite on a quiet winter carnival weekend and there were only a handful of patrons, mostly locals sitting at the bar. The bartender (and our server) Edward was friendly and kept an eye on us and made sure we had what we needed. The food is solidly average pub fare, not bad and perfectly serviceable, but it shouldn't be your primary objective if you're a foodie hunter like me. But on a main drag littered mostly with mediocre bar-restaurants charging tourist prices for tourist indifference, I'll take "just fine" as a win. I'm not much of a drinker but my husband liked his can of Copper Legend lager so much that he ordered another one to go. The location is conveniently central especially if you're staying on Canada St. or doing activities at the lake.

We were lucky to grab a nearby high-top, put in a few song requests, and enjoy the live music while we waited for our food. The mashed potato balls were the standout starter, fried perfectly and especially good with the honey sour cream dipping sauce. The cold Reuben was stacked high with flavorful turkey, and the chicken sandwich had a satisfying crunch with a nice zing from the chipotle aioli. We left feeling full and ended up hanging around for a while just to keep listening to the musician, which really made the visit memorable.

This cozy Irish American pub offers a full service bar with seating, table seating & high top tables and covered open air deck seating in the back with a view of the lake. The bar offers 8 draft beers, mixed drinks and cocktails. The food menu offerings include a selection of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, soup, salads, main entrees served after 4pm (fish & chips, bangers & mash, mac & cheese), kids menu and desserts. The prices are moderate. I walked in here on a hot Saturday afternoon and the place wasn't very busy. I could seat myself at any table or at the bar. I sat down at a high top (B&W "Jamo's Pub Lake George" logo) close to the front window next to the bar for natural lighting since much of the place has minimal inside lighting. The bartender gave me a menu and specials flyer. The server arrived shortly after to take my order. I ordered an ice water and the Rachel ($15 plus tax) with fries & pickle, which came out in 10 minutes. The Rachel was cut in half, which had thin roast turkey slices, melted Swiss cheese, cole slaw, thousand island dressing between grilled marble rye bread. The standard golden fries were very hot and lightly salted. I did get a small box for half the sandwich to eat later on. The check was presented, which was $15.48 (cash)/$16.05 (card) with tax and before tip. I was thrilled to see they give a cash discount. The food was pretty good and the service was adequate and friendly. I would stop in again for dinner served after 4pm, so I could order the bangers & mash or the fish & chips.

They also had hot chocolate which was nice on a cold night. The drinks menu has an interesting note where the bartender will make a drink you like or your money back. I didn't take advantage of it but it seems pretty fun. The decor is nice with citronella candles and an antler chandelier. There is a very cute cowboy theme to the restaurant. The booths inside look nice as well and very comfy.

I challenge you to find a better wing! Unbelievably crispy, tender, and huge. The steak fries are crispy, light, fluffy and perfectly seasoned. I could hardly stop eating them to take a bite of burger! I'm glad I did though, because the jalapeño smash burger was great. My husband had a grilled chicken and pesto sandwich. Perfect for a hot night! Fun ambiance, great country music, and the entire staff is friendly and welcoming!
