The food here is very good. I've really enjoyed the sandwiches and burgers. The wings , which are a combination of grilled/fried are also good. Ive been here a couple times now, and while I definitely enjoy the food, I come here for the environment, the vibe, the bar. This location is the ultimate hangout with a brother or a good buddy. And if you like whiskey/bourbons...the selections are phenomenal! Perfect location to catchup with an old friend, and have a drink.

This place is AWESOME!!! Great food and service. The inside is very cute but only has a few tables with a smaller bar area. So, we sat outside on the patio (in 107 degree weather) where it was very shaded. They had misters and fans which made it enjoyable. Before sitting we were told to come inside and order drinks and food at the bar. The bartenders were attentive and the food came out fresh and SO yummy!! My boyfriend and I ordered the build your own boom boom burger with fries and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time!! My family ordered the Carne Asada Philly, cheese pizza and kids Mac n cheese. We had such a great time and enjoyed every bite! We will definitely be back to try more!! Ps. They have a large whisky menu if you're a whisky fan!!

Checked it out for lunch. Greeted and seated right away. Our server was helpful with recommendations. Burger and wings were very good. Great selection of draft beers. Scan QR for menu and drinks. Outside seating more robust than indoor seating.

Edgy & Quaint..... good things come in small packages. The Hudson Eatery and Bar did not disappoint. The dining room and bar seating area are a little bigger than a garage ... the walls have graffiti with the Cardinals on it and some cool vintage decor. The outdoor patio is bigger than a postage stamp.. The food, was divine. We ordered their onion rings and burgers. I ordered the pastrami burger it was one of the best hamburgers I've eaten, in a while. There was no skimping on the pastrami, I felt like I was eating a hamburger at Togo's. ( Togo's is a sandwich shop in the Bay Area and they are famous for their pastrami sandwiches #9). My burger was really juicy the ratio of PRODUCE to the burger was perfect. Just the right amount of mustard. The french fries that accompanied the burger were fabulous and so were the onion rings. The Hudson makes their own ranch dressing, I am a ranch snob and again great dressing. My daughter ordered a boom boom burger and substituted her cheese with blue cheese and she said it was phenomenal . Their drink options.... Their alcohol menu is five times the size of the food menu. I do not know where they store all of it because again this place is cute and quaint. They must have a hidden storage area. I would definitely recommend this place. The service was outstanding. JOE was our server/bartender and he was very attentive and paid attention to our special request for the BURGERS. You have to try this place

One of the most authentic burger joints in the Valley of the Sun, the ambience was beautiful, the staff were kind and attentive, the burger is otherworldly, the best in the southwest region! Came here after work with a couple colleagues last night. Reviews looked good and we wanted to try a new place so the Hudson fit the agenda. It's a small place and the parking can be tricky on the weekend (very few spots directly in front). While it is small, there's a decent amount of seating options both inside and out...we sat outside. Service was good, we were attended to often and they were very helpful. There are plenty of food options on the menu. We went with the pretzel sticks (good!) to start and shared some wings (pretty good). I tried the Mac & Cheese (with bacon, mushrooms, onions and papers). I'd say the Mac & Cheese was a solid "ok." The additional veggies kinda made it a bit watery, so I'd suggest just the bacon. On a scale of 1 - 10, it's a good spot, it's worth a visit and I'm glad I checked it out. I'd come back again sometime.

TLDR; the Hudson is SOO good and worth a visit. For the long version of this review, the Hudson is incredible and everyone should check them out. Service is super friendly and fast. Food comes out quickly and everything tastes so fresh. It is a very small restaurant-bar and it's located next to a mini mart. You have to go up to the bar to order but they bring the food to your table or seat. We asked for the recommended menu items and ordered a couple of them. I opted for the chips and salsa for a lighter app to have before our meal came out. The chips are freshly fried and they came piping hot to the table! Salsa has a nice kick and was refreshing. It had a nice balance of flavors and they gave us a decent portion of it. The No More Mr. Rice Guy is so good!! So flavorful! The fresh, crunchy vegetables balance out the soft rice and the difference sauces. The chicken is tender and still had a lot of moisture after being reheated at home for leftovers. I was thoroughly impressed. The Philly cheese was good! Loved the seasoning on the Philly itself and the veggies were sautéed with the meat perfectly. Just wish the bread was a little "toastier". The fries? Don't get me started on the fries. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. Super addicting and I kept going back for more. We will come back to try more menu items and to have a few beers another day. So mad at myself for not coming here sooner.

Holy Toledo! We were leaving the airport and decided to grab a bite at a place we found here! Small hole in the wall place but so so cool. The music was blasting the people were laughing & there wait staff was superb. We got the Boom Boom burger & BBQ boneless wings. The wings were hangs down the best I've ever had, so juicy & melted in my mouth good! The burger was a winner too, this double decker is a must try! Jermey was on top of her game with service! Stopped in to try a local bar after work. I ordered the chicken wings with buffalo sauce in the side, Tito's and soda. My friend ordered the burger and a pitcher of Miller Lite. The wings were okay a little on the greasy side. I was disappointed in my second ordered of Tito's and soda but got a Tequila with soda instead. When I approached the bartender she said "that's weird because i made it with Tito's with an attitude". Then pursued to have her coworker smell the drink as they assume I was mistaken. I do not like Tequila and being a vodka drinker I can tell the difference between the two, especially if I was served vodka soda previously. Another disappointment to top the evening off, the staff member handed my friends card to the guest next to us. My friend noticed that his card was being handed to the table sitting next to us trying to pay their bill. The table next to us told the server this isn't my card luckily his card was not charged. Poor service and I definitely would not be back. Another disappoint

I attempted to dine at your restaurant on Sunday, May 21st at around 5:40 pm. I legally parked on the street next to your restaurant and as I approached to sit down, your bartender decided to become confrontational and chastise me about where I parked instead of greeting me. He literally didn't even say hello. He told me that it would make him feel "more comfortable" if I parked in the liquor store parking lot. It's Sunday in Tempe, there is literally no one out and I'm parked on the street along with several other cars. Why is your bartender more concerned with where I'm parked than with serving me? This interaction is disappointing. I live right around the corner and come here often. After this, it's safe to say that I won't be back. read more

Wow...What more can I say? I tell you what folks, this isn't the kind of place you stop by once and forget about. Not the kind of place you dread hearing your friends suggest for a night out or a lunch in the afternoon. NOT a place you think of and go, "eh i guess I could go for a burger". No. This is a place you wake up in the morning and say to yourself, "I'M GOING TO THE HUDSON TODAY AND THERE'S NOT A DAMN THING THAT'S GOING TO STOP ME!". Listen up! When we look at the menu for this legendary Eatery -- what am I talking about? You don't even have to look at it. With these culinary masters just put the menu down, spin it, stop it with your finger, then order what you landed on. LITERALLY anything you order will make you beg for more. With the AZ summer right around the corner guess where you'll find me. Thats right. On the beautiful patio beneath the best mister system in town with a cold drink in one hand and a wing, taco, burger, etc in the other. Finally let me talk about the fine fine folks that run this place. Every person working there is the kindest person I have ever met. You can tell they're always smiling even with masks on and are always there to help with a new drink, an extra order of fries (which you know I always need), and making sure my time there is the best it can be. I could sit here for days and write about how much I love this place, but this review is making me hungry. I know where I'm going. read more

Great food! Ordered a Prairie Tony Esses (sour skittles flavored sour beer) and it was delicious. We ate the bone in wings with Cajun dry rub with dipping sauces, and the BBQ flatbread.m, and crème brulee for desert. Best crime brûlée I've ever had. Expected a typical average crème brûlée but it tasted better than expected. Not disappointed I'll probably come back again with my friends next time I'm back in town visiting. read more

Super solid spot! Pretty good beer selection, big whiskey section and super good food! You can't go wrong with the mr rice guy with chicken or steak honestly l. The wings are super good too! Quiet place most of the time, doesn't seem to get too swamped which is nice. Every time I'm there there are other diners so I'm not saying it's dead I'm just saying it's kind of off the beaten path so jts not as swamped as the other spots closer to Scottsdale road. Bike friendly, although super sketch area to ride a bike not sure why ppl would do that but to each is own. Make sure to stop by and order one of the bowls they are super good! and great prices as well read more

The Hudson Eatery & Bar is a must stop! The building is connected to a liquor store but when you walk around to the entrance you see a cool place. The ambiance is very cool and relaxing. There were 5 of us so trying to find something for everyone's taste can be challenging but Hudson Eatery & Bar stepped up to the challenge. The waitress/bartender was awesome, she provided excellent service with it being only her at the time. Service was fast and friendly. The food was fantastic!!! Between the 5 of us we ordered the Bacon Boom Boom, Chicken Wings, Roast Beef Sandwich, No More Mr. Rice Guy, and a Cheeseburger. The sides were onion rings and fries with our dishes. Everyone raved about how good their dishes tasted! When I'm traveling to the Phoenix area this will be one of my regular stops!!! Fantastic place! Stumbled upon this awesome neighborhood bar & eatery! Loved the open air concept! Great variety of beer, wine & spirits. Not your typical bar menu! Started off with the pretzel sticks. Very unique and best I've had. We loved the rice bowls. My husband got the Curry rice bowl and added chicken. I got the No More Mr. Rice Guy Bowl with no protein. Both were fabulous!! We ended our visit with Sonoran Orange Creamsicle Beer! A must try! Go support the owners. This is a great place! read more

Easily Top 5 Best Burger in the Phoenix area! Probably the best whiskey selection, at a restaurant, in Tempe, as well. Owners and staff are awesome!! Grab a seat at the bar and chat it up with the regulars and the staff. Check out a whiskey flight or food special. They are constantly creating new items and doing competitions with staff to see who has the best recipe. Great for take out too! Don't skip on the wings read more

Alrighty folks, this place might not be on your radar. I'm here to tell you that it should be. It's a locals type of place. It's small, it's friendly and it's DAMN good. 22 beer taps. Really great beer. Rare and hard to find brews. Then there's the whiskey. Wow. Bottles on bottles on bottles. More whiskey than you can ever hope for. And how's the food you ask? Hell yeah, it's bomb. Get the wings. Dry rub is the way to go. Choose your sauce on the side and dig in. Their food menu is phenomenal. Kyle and Chris run a top notch establishment. This place!!! If you love a great outdoor spot with some delicious food and cold beer this is your spot!! Their food is insane!! Great bar food but they make it taste very unique! They have some of the best wings I've ever had. Also the fries are amazing. They're encrusted with some sort of crispy outer covering and are super tasty. For drinks, I'd recommend the cranberry cider. It tastes like Christmas. You also get ten percent off if you bike there. read more

Great food! Awesome flavors. We ordered quite a few items. I'm not usually a French fry lover, but the loaded fries are great The chicken wings also have a great seasoning and I ate most of them without any sauce (also not usual for me). Their salsa and cheese sauce are also delicious and unique enough to set them apart from other places. Very impressed with the quality of flavor in every dish and have since returned specifically for some of their food items. The owner and staff are just as great, too! read more

Really very good burger! Searched for best burger place in South Tempe/North Chandler area, decided to try this place based on the ratings...not disappointed at all. Our group tried the Boom-boom and the Swiss Mushroom burgers with standard toppings and everyone said 5-stars...all very good! Sides choices of fries, chips & salsa, and salad ordered.....also all very good. Unfortunately, it wasn't an occasion for us to sample their other menu choices (eg. beer list, etc), so this review is specifically for the burgers. Will definitely return for burgers....and to try more. Highly recommended for the burgers! read more

I actually really enjoyed this place. Pretty good bourbon selection, they were missing a couple of my favorites but that's alright. Great beer selection as well. The only food I got to try on my first visit were the loaded fries and crème brûlée. The food was phenomenal! They executed on every single item my bf and I got. I got the bacon boom boom burger with a side of fries and he got the philly with a side of fries.I can't wait to come back and try everything else because everything was equally amazing. The only problem I would have is deciding what I want next time because everything is just so good idk how I'm going to choose. read more

So lucky to have stumbled upon this gem today! You can't miss this place, what with its very distinct design outside (and mist for the hot weather today). You are greeted with very unique interiors that somewhat felt like home (even the restrooms were fun and quirky!). The folks are very pleasant and helpful, which made the visit 100x better. We had the wings (mild rub), and the Boom Boom burger with mushrooms. Both were good, and serving size just right. For drinks, we had the Prickly Pom Cider and Pumpkin Porter. Both drinks were refreshing, and did not have that usual beer aftertaste. What stood out, though, was the Chonk Banana Split Beer. Yes, BEER. Absolutely! My neighbor has a bar, and I love it. There's so much to say about it that it's hard to know where to start. Firstly, their beer selection is incredible. The list is constantly changing, and they always have something new and exciting to try. Despite being a small place, they have an extensive draft list that would make you want to try every single thing on it. Their hard liquor selection is equally impressive, with so many options to choose from. The staff is well-trained and can help you find something you'll love. bartender flicked me off for absolutely no reason, got in my face and accused me of being homeless and 'only using their bathroom' after i paid for a 20$ margarita. POOR taste, culture and integrity overall!!! food and drinks not worth the price,and especially not the vulgarity!! read more

One of my favorite hidden gems, the Hudson Tempe. Everything on the menu is bomb! My favorite is the steak rice bowl. This beer they suggested today has to be my new favorite beer. It's has a refreshing tangy berry smoothie flavor but surprisingly a 7% alcohol. read more

First time at The Hudson Eatery and We highly recommend this restaurant and bar!!! Great drinks and Craft Beer options, Buffalo Wings, Mac & Cheese, and Boom Boom Burger! The food left us speechless! We will definitely be back soon!! read more
