The best thing about this place is the view. It is located on the Hudson and has a really nice outdoor area with cozy couches throughout the space in addition to tables and chairs to dine at. The service varied quite a bit depending upon the staff member that approached the table. Our party was initially sat outside due to a private event wrapping up inside. It was very cold near the water and we were eventually move inside. Most people liked their food which is basically American fare, however others felt it wasn't the best. Issues like the buns on the burgers were somewhat soggy due to the condiments that were spread on them. My order was slightly wrong but I didn't bother complaining. I would return only for the drinks, appetizers and the view.

I enjoy this place because of their views and their drinks. It's a great spot during warmer seasons to sit outdoors and enjoy a good drinks and great views. The service is usually great. This is a 10-15 min walk from the subway station.

Best about this place is the ambience, it's on the marina. Beautiful outdoor spot. Service was ok, There aren't many food options. Some listed on the menu are not available. Drinks are pricey for brunch $18 for a small glass Pina Colada.

I always like to check out restaurants on the Hudson and this one definitely had a nice vibe to it. We went really early so it wasn't crowded at all. Got to sit outside to enjoy the view. Can't really say much about the food because I didn't order much but I'll be back for sure.. We did have the Pork Belly and Cajun Fried Shrimp. Both were really good! Kate was our waitress and she was great very informative and kind!

The location and views here are five stars. It would be an awesome spot to hang out and get drinks, with ample covered and outdoor seating including patio furniture couch seating. Their frozen pina colada was probably the best my friends have ever had. Incredibly creamy and delicious. Afditionally, our server was great, friendly and attentive! But I can't give more than three stars because the food is just so sub par. We had the ceviche, which we didn't care for, it was just baby shrimp, and came with very stale chips. We also had the fried calamari, which was alright, just your average fried calamari from anywhere. Their baha fish tacos were very dry. Their mac and cheese lacked any flavor, just bowtie pasta in a milky sauce that came topped with unmelted shredded cheddar. The hot dog and onion rings were standard.

My job rented this place for an event and the food was okay at best (served buffet style), the drinks were watered down (which is understanding since it was a work event), the workers were overwhelmed by the amount of people there but at least they were nice. My favorite part about this place was the view so I feel like I need to come back when it's open to the public to try their made to order food and drinks and get a good sense of the place. I wouldn't recommend anyone to book this place for their private event (as imo that was an okay experience at best) but I'm open to coming back and seeing the vibes when it's open to the public.

We came here a couple of times since the switch from La Marina. The first in 2018 was a blast. The second in 2019 was fun today we came in at 6:30 on a Wednesday and the place is empty. Should have left. We ordered two virgin Pina Colada for the kids. They wouldn't drink them. Said they tasted like a cross between Sprite and dishwater. Replaced them with Mountain Dew which was from the fountain and apparently no syrup. For dinner the lobster roll was old and stale. The casino clams has no flavor. You couldn't even taste the bacon. When can you not taste bacon? The mussels were dry and stale. My son had a shrimp boil. The shrimp was still frozen in the middle, the sausage - never saw that consistency before. The Birria tacos were bland and I added salt. Then I pulled a glob of fat out like I've never seen. Finally, mac and cheese. Tasted like milk. I don't know what happened here but I know why they are empty. Don't do it. You'll regret it. The view is pretty and no one was in our way!!!!

This is a fairly new establishment. I remember when this space was La Marina and coming here for a lit Yelp Elite event. The place is just as breathtaking with beautiful views of the Hudson River, lights strewn everywhere, and spacious outdoor seating. The menu is quite extensive, and I was debating between BBQ (ribs, of course) or one of the entrée plates. I finally decided to order a Combination Taco Plate, served with coconut rice and plantains. I selected 2 Shrimp Tacos, and 1 Corn with Mushroom Taco. The Shrimp Tacos consisted of shrimp, corn mango salsa, and avocado crema. This was delicious! The shrimp was plentiful, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Corn and Mushroom Taco included cotija cheese, and crema. This was also tasty. The vegetables were wonderfully fresh and cooked perfectly. All the ingredients combined together well to make for yummy bites! I really enjoyed the plantains, which were just the right amount of sweetness, soft, moist, and slightly charred. The rice was also great with strong coconut taste, as well as a nice consistency. My friend had the BBQ Rib Tips, so I got to try some and they were absolutely mouthwatering! These were house smoked and finished with homemade BBQ sauce. They were small morsels of incredibly tender, delightfully succulent, satisfyingly crispy, and deeply flavorful meat! Service was pretty good throughout our time. There were a few mix-ups when it came to the different sushi rolls that were ordered, but our waiter was eager to make it right. We had a lovely experience here. I would be open to returning to have the Coconut Shrimp and Ribs, but it probably won't be for awhile because I live quite far from this restaurant.

At long last after fifteen (15) torrid months of a pandemic, lockdown and closings the City of New York is resurfacing to normalcy or at least as close to normalcy as possible. Wary continues. Formerly known as La Marina which closed and re-opened as The Hudson. It is a waterfront lounge and restaurant consisting of very mediocre drinks and substandard detrimental customer service. There was only one measly bar tender name Jose C. to serve patrons and he was busy concocting drinks for other patrons ignoring my party of two until and inevitable ten minutes later. He did not acknowledge my party's physical presence with a simple "hi, how are you? I'll be right with you." After work to chill in hopes of expelling fifteen (15) torrid months of essential work in-person physically at the office, abject frustration, stress, utter anxiety and sheer exhaustion was rated MEH! My co-worker and I ordered: Watermelon frozen Daiquiri - $14.00 Truly a frozen delight which is a good cool down for a day's end of hot humid summer's day. Pina Colada creamy semi frozen - $14.00 Awful! It was not frozen nor served extremely cold and I had to request cherries from the bar tender name Jose C. who does not by default embedded as industry standard. Fresh cherries are part of this alcoholic drink! It was served with one piece of dried stale pineapple, but not fresh. Patrons flock to The Hudson mainly for the view of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge, NOT for the food, drink nor customer service. The staff discreetly, I believe, intake the view as well which is a big distraction to their work of servicing customers portraying a substandard detrimental food, drink and hospitality service level. There are abundant outdoor seating of couches, high chairs where patrons can relax and eyes affixed to the view of overlooking Hudson River. No comment on the food as neither I nor my co-worker intake any - as the reviews are accurate. I wither from despond - utter slough of despond. Dismay. Discontent. Disappointment. Note: NYC COVID-19 surcharge 3.50% is automatically affixed to one's bill.

Not my first time at The Hudson, definitely my first review. The raw oyster were fresh and delicious. My sushi spicy combo was great. The tuna poke bowl was great as well. Highly suggest these three plates. Despite a private event happening at The Hudson, the staff was great, attentive and explained to us in advance that all waiters/waitresses we first to let us know. One of the bartenders went as far as to ask me if I was ok with the food it was too much sushi for me to eat and insisted on talking to the manager to take off the bill. I had to stress the fact that it was great sushi and (sorry, forgot his name).

Please don't believe the hype. This place is Cringe! Backstory--my girls planned a surprise get together for my bday here and it was a horrible experience. They all arrived before me & hung out by the bar. On the walk in I'm greeted with blaring reggaeton music, a young crowd of hookah smokers, ppl drunk dancing, and my girls. With that being said it took forever for them to seat us at a table-- excuse being that the whole party had to be there; understandable. After about twenty minutes they come for our party and walk us to the back portion of the venue which is a bit quieter but also poorly set up(imagine the kids table @ a thanksgiving dinner)--collapsible fold up table, fold up chairs. In my mind I'm like wtf is this??? There was another party of 6 seated adjacent to us and shortly after a party of 14 was seated on the other side. (All three parties, ours included, were African American...heavy side eye) Then our server, who didn't speak a lick of English, greeted us. We managed to order drinks and appetizers by pointing things out on the menu for her to comprehend. Upon her arrival with our drinks and appetizers, we inquired about what entrees were good on the menu. Her response was "everything."... like be for real girl! This was your opportunity to sell the place. If someone is asking you what you recommend on the menu you don't say everything; you pick one or two meals from the menu. Honestly, that should've been red flag number two for us. One friend ordered a salmon dish, another friend ordered a ravioli dish, another friend ordered a burger and fries. I had lobster & spaghetti and let's just say what I asked for was not what I received. I will post pictures of what they're advertising on their Instagram page versus what I actually received on the table. #Gag. Before the entrées even came out, they brought out dessert and started singing happy birthday to me. I was so confused and you could hear me ask in one of my snaps. "Why did they bring this out already?" Shortly after the entrees arrive and none of us liked or ate the food. The safest meal ordered was the burger and fries, and the fries tasted like cardboard. The burger was dried out. Everything else was either bland or lacked flavor. SMH ! In planning this celebration, my cousin left a $60 deposit ahead of time which would go towards the final bill. When the bill came, she realized there was no deduction and pointed it out to the server. She and quite a few staff members insisted that it was deducted until my cousin called for the big manager-- It took speaking to 3 managers in total to have things rectified. The staff was very rude and tried to accuse her of trying to get away without paying for food she ordered separately to go. The next day I read through reviews on yelp, etc and quite a few ppl shared the same sentiments--rude/unprofessional staff, subpar food, terrible service, etc. I would never in my wildest dreams drop a dime in this place again or recommend. 0/0. Trash!

My friend and I shared the Bread and Cornbread Basket, served warm with raspberry preserve jam and butter. The Bread was perfectly baked, fluffy, and well seasoned. Cornbread was glazed, giving it a slightly sweet taste, as well as crumbly in a good way. The butter made the breads richer, while the raspberry jam added a nice layer of flavor. For my meal, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, adding Truffle Fries, which were an additional $5. This also came with a small side salad topped with radishes. The Steak was tender, wonderfully juicy, and flavorful. Eggs were cooked over hard, just how I like them and made expertly. Truffle fries had a generous sprinkling of Parmesan and were delightfully crispy, with strong truffle yumminess. Salad gave a fresh element to the dish. Service was lovely. My top tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I came here for a strategic lunch/rest this past Saturday during the Great Saunter (an annual event I would heartily recommend to anyone physically and mentally able - five stars all around). After not finishing the Saunter last year, I decided at the very least it was important to get off our feet for a bit, and this location made a lot of sense, literally a few buildings away from the official route off Isham Street very close to the halfway point of our adventures. Given how we were feeling at the time, this was definitely within a quarter mile of where we needed it to be before people started getting VERY yowly. This area of Inwood is really pleasant; I've been over here now a few times and it's super underrated because most people never bother to wander up past the GW Bridge. But it's super chill and gives off some Brooklyn vibes. And optics-wise, Garden Cafe fits right in. True to its name, it has a great outdoor seating area in the back, which was the perfect antidote on a pleasant day with sore feet. The interior though is dimly lit and very claustrophobic; each time we went through (entering and exiting), we had to wait for other people to pass in the area by the restroom/awkward bar area. I'm not sure how you improve that situation without a full-on reno, but it's not the best. The outdoor space helps for sure in that regard. We needed carbs like the wolf with 16 miles to go on our trek. I went with the strawberry pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs and a vanilla latte (mostly so my chum and I would remain on speaking terms after only having a fraction of my normal coffee intake at the beginning of the day). Everything was fine though nothing to write home about. The pancakes were a little dry and definitely needed the accompanying syrup, and the eggs conversely were wetter than I typically like. They also needed a bit of seasoning but they did what they were supposed to do. In hindsight, the latte might have actually been the best of the lot - it had a visually pleasing design from the milk pour and was tasty. Most of the patrons we saw nearby were on mimosa benders, which sounded fun but we had a job to do. Next time. This place got a lot of points off for the service. Our waitress was not particularly friendly - very monotone and never smiled, and once our food came? A ghost. We rarely even saw her in the patio area and we probably ended up staying an extra 15 minutes because we literally just couldn't find her to get the check. Really odd unforced error and it was actually close to the point where one of us was going to have to go inside to actively find her to ask for the bill. Not good at all. It wasn't a terrible meal by any stretch and I think ultimately you give it a thumbs up for providing a spot to rest and eat, but most people would probably consider that the bare minimum requirement of a restaurant. I'm sure you can find better around here.

It was a great place with a relaxing atmosphere. It was tough to decide between Salmon or Pork Chop. The latter appealed to me because it came with loaded baked potato. I ended up ordering the Wild Pecan Crusted Salmon, which was served with vegetables and white rice. I asked for it to come with roasted potatoes instead. When I received it, there was still rice so I had to wait extra time to get the correct dish. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, tender, flaky, and I loved the crispy, irresistibly nutty pecan crust. The veggies included were green beans and carrots, which were wonderfully crunchy. The potatoes were well seasoned. Service was not the best. I had to order before my table because I needed to leave soon, but the order was not properly prepared, so had to wait longer to begin eating. The rest of the food came in at all different times. Prices were decent, as entrees were under $30. I would consider returning to try the French Cut Pork Chop and some of the desserts, but don't feel the need to anytime soon.

I have been treated very poorly at this place in the past, however the people of At The Wallace told me to go back because servers have been changed and Chad had improved the overall experience. Since I care about the folks at At the Wallace, I decided to give them a chance. The first thing was that the waiter, an apathetic hipster, changed my seat because I was seated in a table for four people, nothing outrageous or out of the ordinary, but then I see him separating the table to allow a couple to sit there. Which made me wonder why I didn't get that treatment, but whatever. I order a medium Spicetown USA burger and a Seltzer. A different waitress brings me the seltzer and basically drops it on the table spilling some of the drink on the table. She didn't apologize for the abrupt gesture, she just turned around and went back to another table. After waiting for 30 minutes for the burger, I call another waitress (this one was friendly at least) and ask the delay, turns out the original waiter didn't even put the order. She talks to him and apologized to me. The burger comes over, but well done, instead of medium. After the two bite check up, I pointed out to the waiter who LITERALLY shrugs and goes to another table. Despite not being my desired temperature the burger and the fries were very delicious, so I will give them that. However, the service here is unforgivably bad. I don't understand why, At The Wallace is right next door, the servers and bartenders are super nice and it's also cheaper. I don't think I will go back to this place again.

Inside is my preferred move since the outside area is high traffic but you will always find a few brave souls happily dining at the two or three outdoor tables no matter the weather. The kitchen sits right in the middle of the action and the team works like a calm SWAT unit trained in gourmet precision. You order your food and it comes out in perfect time and the wild part is everything here tastes good. Truly everything. Most dishes run around sixteen to twenty dollars, unless you feel like leveling up to their specials which are worth every penny. I have had the meatball sandwich, the Truffle Burger with Swiss cheese and French fries Provencal plus other burgers like the Hamilton and California. All excellent. The pasta too. This is the kind of place where you leave full and happy for the rest of the day. Friendly staff, great energy, consistent quality and zero misses. Easily five stars. Cheers.

A bargain on lunch too for a manhattan (Washington Heights to be exact; excuse me my Dominican homies on this side). Burger, fries and a beer for $19 hit the spot after a night out drinking. I like how the bar is in the center surrounded by the tables for regular table service. I'm new to the area so this could be a spot for me to pop into occasionally!! Fernando and Melissa made my first visit worth it!!! Thank you both!!!!! Here again on a Wednesday night and the vibe is so chill and the bartender Ashley was so welcoming; love her soul!!! Thank you for the service Queen!! I will be back again soon especially since living in the area now!! Great staff and hospitality both times here!! I highly recommend!! Meagan is a vibe too!!!! A beast behind the bar while being welcoming & attentive!!!!

I saw some patrons enjoys some games on the screen with their child and was also able to enjoy a meal and drinks. I had a blackberry margarita and my company all had the blood orange margs. They were good and the drinks were flowing. We did order the sampler and was overwhelmed by the size of the thing. The platter took the entire table. It came w curly fries, wings, nachos, mozz sticks and loaded fries...all delicious and we destroyed the platter. Good vibes and chill. It was my first time here but id definitely come back! Highly recommended
