One of the few places open on this rainy, cold day. Came in for breakfast and a dinner. Was OK. Did get crowded with tour groups...because there ain't other options. For a breakfast we had Chelse who had 10 arms and roller skates on her feet as she never stopped responding to the breakfast crowd. Good show, Chelse! Wife and I both had biscuits and gravy ($10.99 each) with coffee ($2.50 each). Nothing real special. Back for dinner the next day and we had Naomi, another fast worker. Could not believe the crowds. She kept up, apologizing along the way for the slow kitchen. We drank beer. Wife had chicken fried steak with a baked potato ($15.99). I had a frozen fried shrimp plate ($12.99). We were a group of 9 walking in on a Saturday afternoon. The place was not crowded and the hostess seated us in a couple of minutes. Our server was very patient with all of us deciding on the order and then ordering. We ordered a couple of veggie burgers, customized grilled cheese (couple of veggies added), chicken tenders and rueben. Everything was well made and tasted great. Came in for a group with my girls for the classic Twilight Forks visit. The hostess was nice and seated us right away. Our waitress however didn't seem as pleasant. Orders were taken too fast and before we could ask for other things we wanted she had turned away. There was no check in once our food was ready to see if everything was okay. The fries were tasty and reminded us of school lunch. The rest of our order was also pretty good. Viviana (another waitress) made her way over to refill our drinks and check in, VERY nice girl! stayed in forks to go on some hikes and see the gorgeous washington coast and was lucky enough to have this spot right across from my hotel. came here both mornings and was not disappointed at all. i had the same server both days and she was awesome- kept my coffee full! had the best biscuits & gravy i've had in washington. will definitely be staying at the same place any time i head out to the olympic peninsula so i can eat here! read more

Wow!! I was not expecting our food to be so amazing! We got the local sea bass special grilled and blackened with baked potatoes. They came with a roll and awesome asparagus. My wife and I just ate at The In Place. We were not enthusiastic based on prior yelp reviews. But it was the only place in town. Well, the catch-of-the-day was sea bass fresh caught. My wife ordered hers grilled; I had mine blackened. I will say they were some of the best fish I've eaten. Very well prepared. Hello my fellow French toast constituents, When I saw that the in place had a 2.8 on yelp I spit out my glass of warm milk (helps me sleep) all over my beautiful wife. The in place had good service and good food. My coffee was never empty and that's all you can really ask for in a world so full of cruelty. Obligatory French toast review: Portion size: 10 Texture: 8 Flavor: 8 After my husband covered me in his hot milk, I spit out my cold milk everywhere (I dislike hot milk). Of the restaurant options available in Forks, WA, I think this was a good choice. Nice diner atmosphere. Food was a little pricey for what we ordered. Stopped here on our way through town last weekend. I wish we had kept driving. The food was ok but everything was luke warm. The portion sizes aren't great for the price and they served chili sauce with the mozzarella sticks and the fried mushrooms. I have never seen that combo and it did not work for either of them. The service was ok she seemed friendly enough, probably the best part of the experience. I did notice on the way out that everyone in the back of the house did not have masks on. On the way out I also noticed the sign on the door whining about staffing issues and blaming it on the government(Not sure I recommend mixing your political beliefs with your business but that's your call). That along with the charge for using a debit or credit card to pay(who does that in this day) and the portions size seems in my opinion that the owner is cheap and does not pay staff well and wants to make the customer pay for it. Decided to give this place a try despite the ratings being low since some of the reviews seemed pretty positive. It was pretty apparent from the start that they were understaffed, as it took us a quite a while to get seated. But the server that did greet us was apologetic and accommodating throughout our entire meal The crazy prices for the small quantity of food we got was ridiculous. The Philly cheese steak looked like it was missing half the sandwich. It was nice to walk next door and get a nice diner breakfast. I enjoyed the French toast with two eggs and bacon. The coffee was hot and my cup was always filled. Everyone cleaned thier plates so it is safe to say we all enjoyed our breakfast. I had a nice old school breakfast for a decent price here while on a fishing trip. I was hesitant when I read the negative reviews, but I certainly had a positive experience. Food was hot, plentiful and tasty. Excellent bacon and hash browns. Service was polite and efficient. This is Forks, people! It's still a logging town and there just aren't that many places to eat. We ate here after a full day of exploring the Western side of the Park. The food was excellent! We had no expectations from this unassuming diner, but were surprised to find local seafood on the daily special. Three of us ordered the grilled lingcod dinner and we ate every bite. The fish was grilled perfectly--moist, tender, lightly seasoned. The asparagus was excellent--tender, but still a little al dente. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and efficient. It was frustrating because we had limited time in Forks and spent a large portion of it being ignored at our table. The staff was rude. We literally had to go find someone to take our order after waiting so long. Then they made annoyed faces while taking our order. Always fails when it comes to me. Every time I come in, I get seated right away but it takes Forever putting in my order and only checked on Maybe once when I get my food. I always hope it gets better the next time I come in but nope! I'm a single person so I usually get looked over as most tables are couples or families (and I get it as I used to work in the restaurant business as well) but dang. it's the only other place in town to have breakfast (and closest if you don't have a vehicle like myself). read more

Service was extremely slow and it was pricey for what you get. Food tasted as bacon and eggs should but there was nothing setting it apart from a run of the mill breakfast place. I enjoyed the artwork from local artists, the coffee was really good. But our orders were wrong - two French Toast instead of three and multi grain bread instead of the biscuit ordered with the big breakfast. We weren't charged for the errors so I didn't bring it up. I was just internally disappointed. I was looking forward to a biscuit with honey. Such is life. There aren't a ton of options in the area, and this place has ample seating, so if you are passing through and looking for a place to eat, the food isn't terrible.
