I must say, I've spend most of my summers in Long Beach and The Inn is the only bar I will never get sick of! I am a huge fan of the live band they have performing on the weekends. The crowd is very laid back, everyone is out to have a good time. I love it when the bartenders let stacks of napkins go flying :) As a restaurant, I've never eaten here except during the summer for their infamous taco tuesday nights... they weren't that great... but I went to hang out, not for the food, which I'm sure is why a majority of people go. Your better off saving your money for drinks and come here for the live band on the weekends! read more

We had a reservation for six for dinner the night of a tribute band we wanted to see. Two of us arrived late after the other four were already seated. They charged us a $10 cover charge each. That is just really poor service. It left a bad taste in my mouth (as did the food). read more

Why I like this place . A Its a bar in a central location in Long Beach and the beer is always cold when riding threw on my Harley . B Staff is always attentive and I like the basic bar food they serve. The raw bar is also quality seafood and goes great with a cold beer on a nice day or night. C I always find a spot for my Harley in front of the bar and sit on the outside seating to watch the Long Beach scene go by. I have literally never been to a restaurant with worse service. I guess there's a reason that this place had immediate seating available on a Saturday night. To start from the top: Our party of five was seated in the upstairs area by a window at a small table in the corner. A little cramped and very hot. We were greeted And then told that a band would be setting up in our area so we would have to be out when they're ready. Although we weren't in the mood to be rushed, three of us ordered the same drink off their cocktail list. After a long wait, our server came back with one of the drinks fixed properly but told us they ran out of one of the key ingredients in the other two... but brought us those drinks anyway. I should mention, the drink only had three ingredients anyway, so losing one is pretty key. She was actually very sweet about giving two of us different drinks when we didn't like the messed up ones and leaving those for our table to drink for free (added a star for this). As the night progressed we were being checked on less and less as it appeared our server was helping the band set up. (Again, not her fault she had to do that, so no star removed). Things really went down hill when we saw our server leave with her bag, appearing to be off for the night although we were still in the middle of dinner. We sat at the table for what seemed like forever when another waitress stopped by and asked if we were ok. She didn't mention that she would be taking over or anything. We did tell her we were waiting on drinks and she said she would check. She never came back. We finally flagged down someone from another section and told them we needed our checks but that our server(s) were MIA. Second waitress comes back once we complain and didn't apologize (or bring our drinks). She dropped the check and then never came back for it. We decided to bring the checks with us and try to find someone to pay (although at this point it wasn't deserved) We ended up paying the hostess and letting her and the bouncers know about our awful experience. Still no apologies and they were laughing about it as we left. To make it worse, we had guests in town for one night and now this is their impression of long beach. I never write negative reviews, but this place is a total joke. Staff is unprofessional, and I should have left without paying that bill last night but my morals wouldn't allow it. On the positive side, the food was decent bar food. Had the service not been so terrible I probably would have gone back. read more

Don't go here to watch the UFC fights. I called in advance to ask if the fights were being shown and if there was a cover charge. I was told yes they were, and no, there was no charge. When I arrived at the door, low and behold, there was a $10 cash-only cover. When I explained what I was told on the phone the guard shrugged and justified the price to me, which was mainly to pay the band. $10 to watch the UFC fights while...a band plays? Check out taco night. It's the absolute bomb diggs. I hear raw bar night is crazy good. Sometimes they have bands playing that are pretty sweet. And everyone seems to have a good time here even tho it's ever so slightly dungeony feeling, aka like a dungeon. Maybe I feel that way because of how it looks from the outside. The super high seats can be strange when you're at a table that's not near other people sitting really high and then you're there 12 feet in the air with your date and you just end up looking tall or sketchy. I have noticed people trashing the types that go to this bar or other Long beach bars and they are somewhat true...not the highest quality of people. Clearly a bar not a restaurant. We thought we would grab a quick bite to eat here before heading out for the night since they have a small outdoor seating area. OMG it is not a good situation. The food was definitely previously frozen and not fresh at all. Looked like it took little to no effort to put together. Staff was nice and helpful but the food did the place in. I am not a drinker but it looks like a place that would be fun to come to to hang out with some friends as it is spacious inside and has a decent looking bar. read more

I want to give this place 4 stars so bad, because the bartenders are all great, and so is the food. You wouldn't think such a large factory bar would have a decent salad or perfectly fried, good-looking-meated chicken fingers, but the place does. Just great people and great food. Just never go here and hang out past 9pm. The crowd is big, loud, and alcoholic. The music is usually an awful sublime or like creedence cover band. And I love Sublime and Creedence cover bands. The ones who play here are just awful. It's like what 92.3 used to sound like when it was KROK, in hell. If you're trying to get drunk and/or laid and bump into 20 dudes with flannel shirts and 3 day old 5 O'clock shadows, this place rules. If you want to find a girl with too much make up, a loud top, tight black pants, and sandals or ugg boots in January or July... this place is great. If you are trying to get Bradley Nowell's spirit to rise from the grave, or just spin in it, pay the cover, some of which will go to the band desecrating his music. The cover charge is reasonable, music is awesome - great atmosphere - cool bands, live music......finally a place where the goal is letting loose and having fun - without all the Britney and Top40 hits that most places play back-to-back...(boooooring) ...girls dancing at the bar table, throwing napkins in the air, the crowd jumping... exciting selection of music - keeps you pumped up and happy. Huge bar/restaurant located in the West End of Long Beach. Each day of the night there is a special. What I love going to is their Taco Tuesdays!!! What it is you get $1 tacos from soft and/or hard tacos with chicken, beef, or beans. Only thing is it requires a 2 drink min but they even have specials for that. I'm looking forward to coming here during the summertime because it will be a great time! read more

I'd say - the best time to come here is mid-day on a Saturday. It's not crowded and filled with college students and you can hang out with other locals and just have a good mid-day lunch or mid-day drink (or both). I have found the staff to be super, super friendly. I don't like going to ANY of these bars in the West End when it's a Saturday night and they're totally crowded. But, like I said, you come here for an afternoon drink and snacks, it's a good time!! Swingbelly's recently roasted a pig and had all you can eat food here for $10 - it was such an awesome deal, all the people that showed up were really cool and the staff was so friendly! We've been to the Inn a few times and always had a great time. However, this last trip I was denied entry due to what they said was a "ripped jeans" policy. I was surprised since we've been here before with people wearing ripped jeans - I believed the denial might have something to do with the fact I was with my significant other (another man) and the older bouncer was not approving. The other bouncer said he would let us in, but the older gentleman insisted that we were denied entry. My fears were confirmed when he called us f******* and gave me the middle finger as we were walking away. I was pretty upset and admittedly yelled back at him with some insults I regret. However, when you're going to be transparent in your bigotry it's hard to feel bad. Needless to say we won't be returning to the Inn. Would recommend going to Minnesota's down the road. read more

Good happy hour. Its a place where the food is mediocre, the prices for drinks and food is affordable. However, the crowd there on the night you are there can make or break your experience. If its just you and a friend or a significant other then your experience might be better depending on the situation. Overall, its clean, its friendly, but nothing special. I visit long beach every summer and always eat here. I love their calamari and buffalo chicken. Something i've never had anywhere else is the Buffalo calamari (calamari with Buffalo sauce). It is yummy! This bar is also great for football. They always lend about 2 tvs to none local games (i'm a Pats fan). There is outdoor seating, 1st floor, bar area, or 2nd floor. 3 stars for the calamari and the kind and patient servers. That's about it. Had dinner here last night with a big group. The one who took our order was very patient and nice. Food was mediocre except for the calamari. Burger was supposed to be medium rare as we requested but came out well done. On our way out the bouncer was either blind or simply rude. Great burger!!! The meat is juicy and the bun fits it perfectly. Anyone who is a burger fan k led the bun to burger ratio is key. The staff is very friendly and always smiling and upbeat. I know this place is known for its Summer nightlife, but my wife and I go to Long beach many weekends during the Summer and eat here all of the time. The food is EXCELLENT. Try the mussels appetizer. Great place! Food is delicious. Love the tuna rolls and avocado and cilantro salad. Wings are also delicious. Love the variety acoustic acts during the week and amazing live bands on the weekend. Drop Dead Sexy is my favorite. ;) Yes, it does get crowded on summer weekends. Was always like this. I'm confused why people give negative reviews when their negative experience has to do with some of the customers in the bar and not the bar itself. And Bouncers have a lot to deal with. I've seen drunk annoying people belittle bouncers because they have to pay a cover? I don't know how they deal with some of these DFD's. If you don't like the crowds, don't go on a summer weekend. The Inn is just as good on a weekday night. read more

The bartender- the elderly 80 year old grumpy lady, was extremely nasty and careless about the customers. I was just here with my bf and 2 other girlfriends we had $100 tap to begin with. 30 minutes and we were out the bar... And never ever coming here again, and I'll make sure all of my friends who come here never show up as well. This place was cool and I had a good time until the next day when myself and two of my buddies who spent several hours eating and drinking there with me noticed that our slimy waitress had double swiped our debit cards and tried to rip us off. Great food, very accommodating, efficient and nice staff. They have plenty of TVs for the games and at night after 10 ussually live entertainment. Better than the average bar. SUCKED! We came here for lunch on Mother's Day... Service was SLOPPY AND SLOOW! We ordered a water with lemon and a soda... We then ordered two chicken sandwiches. One regular, one hot sauce. After an afternoon of lounging on the beach my friends & I decided to grab dinner & drinks. Our meals were good despite my friend leaving his tuna with yellow rice because he said it tasted weird. I had wings with a side of sweet potato fries which was good. Everything was going well until we ordered a 3rd round of drinks; waited about 45 minutes & the drinks never arrived. We asked for the check & to our surprise the waiter charged us for 3 extra vodkas & 3 extra beers. Luckily I decided to review the bill which I never do but, since we waited so long for our drinks that I figured they would over charge us the drinks. Thankfully our waiter was nice & removed the extra charges. Other then that the Inn is a cool & chill spot to grab good/ food after the beach. read more
