I actually had a really good time here on St Patrick's Day! It was super packed but that was to be expected! Great pub if your looking for a good drink and quick service! Even with how crowded they were we were quick to get drinks, didn't start a tab and just paid after every drink we got so we could just leave after.

Great spot! Plenty of parking and not overly crowded. Great place to chill or even to go outside to play volleyball and hangout. Service was good too!

I hadn't been to this place in quite awhile - and I must say I'm glad I checked it out again! if you are wanting a great outdoor space with lots of activities and "chill" areas, then this is it! A large rustic covered patio area is front and center with a stage area in back. Two areas for grilling out, two volleyball courts, several places to play darts, two ring toss games, multiple corn hole boards with bags, and even an outdoor "shower" area to rinse off after you get sandy. Tiki bar area provides a great spot for lounging. Pro TIP : the outdoor bathrooms are nicer than the single bathroom inside. And I've heard they are going to be serving apps soon - right now it's just drinks. Definitely a fun place to bring your friends and hang out!

I got fish and chips and unfortunately, I can say I've gotten better at Applebee's. Our adult children were joining us for dinner and luckily they were late so we ordered when they finally got there we told them to go somewhere else to eat. Our tab was $59.08 and we left a $10 tip on the table. I won't ever go back. when you're Irish and you have a mammy and an aunt Katie, you know how this food is supposed to come out, I was raised on it, thought we were going for some comfort food with my people and boy, was I disappointed. They were out of shepherds pie. That was probably a blessing. The staff was pleasant enough, but not very attentive. Somebody did ask me about my food and she even noticed that my husband's plate didn't look right, but she never made a reappearance. if you order tea it's gonna come in a bottle, if I was told that or if I was presented the bottle unopened, I would've declined it and got a Coke. Was it an off night? No, I think that this was standard operating procedure by the clientele that was in there and I guess when you don't know any better you think it's great, but when you know better, you know it's well below par.

Instead of being turned away or treated like a burden, we were immediately welcomed and found a great spot upstairs with awesome views of the village. The food and drinks completely delivered. The beer was fantastic, and you could tell the bartender actually cared about the quality of the pour (you have to try the Blacksmith). We started with the soft pretzels and beer cheese (excellent), but the absolute standout was the Celtic Spice Bag for the entree. I can't recommend it enough--you have to try it. I've been to a lot of Irish pubs around the world, including plenty in Ireland. A lot of places think that slapping some Claddaghs, harps, and four-leaf clovers on the wall while blasting the same five pub songs we all know by heart is enough to make an Irish pub. Boudicca's has the decor and the music, sure, but that's not why we'll be coming back. When you walk into a real pub over on Salt Hill in Galway Bay, what actually makes the place special is the atmosphere. It's the genuine welcome from the people, the care behind the bar, and food that feels unique. Boudicca's captured that exact feeling right in the middle of Tennessee. The staff was fantastic, the vibe was perfect, and we had an absolute blast. Highly recommended.

The pretzels were fresh and savory and the Harp Lager Beer Cheese was the perfect pair to complement the pretzels. For my main course, I went with my ole faithful Irish pub meal, Fish N' Chips. I have tried Fish N' Chips while traveling in Ireland and the Fish N' Chips from O'Hara's is a solid second behind that. Our server was attentive and helped navigate us through the menu. The ambiance was that of a proper Irish Pub. Overall, I will give say O'Hara's was a PHENOMENAL choice for dinner. I will highly recommend to others who may be visiting the area.

Now mind you there were a lot of empty tables with "reserved" on them at that point. Fast forward an hour later, because we didn't get a txt from them, we went in to see what the story was. They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! They said they would take care of us, and walked us over to the bar side, and told us we would have to stand at the counter to eat! I was fuming. The other three from my party walked out, while i proceeded to tell the manager this was extremely poor service! All he could say was they were busy. I pointed out the empty tables that were empty when we first walked in an hour ago and are still empty! They finally gave us one of those tables. We were out in an hour and guess what ...... there were still empty tables with "reserved" on them! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone! My suggestion is to go someplace else!! Like I said, our waitress was extremely nice and couldn't apologize enough.

The pub is in the basement of a building which is not always a good thing but in this case, it worked well! The spiral staircase added character to the pub and the character kept on keepin' on as we entered the restaurant. The inside is brick and wood which gives a pleasant dive feel. The staff was friendly and we were seated promptly. It was around 7:30 pm on a Saturday evening so it was pleasantly uncrowded. We ordered Irish potato soup, fried cheese curds, the Reuben on sourdough bread and fish n' chips. They were all amazing!! I had the soup and it was delicious- it was their take on French onion soup with potatoes and carrots. They always have it so if you like soup- GET IT! The cheese curds were legit- the cheese was tasty and the breading just right. My wife ordered the Rueben on sourdough instead of the offered rye. The sandwich was a classic Reuben which my wife liked so much that I had to have a bite. It was great! Plenty of corned beef and hash with a sauce that added the right amount of tang. My son ordered the fish and chips. The fish was outstanding and my son and I both agreed that it was as good as fish that we had recently had in London- awesome! One note about the fries- the fries were scrumptious and came in a shape that seems like they shaved from a potato rather than the usual shape of a fry. The shape was neat but the taste was no joke- delicious. Oh, and if you like sweet tea, they have it.;) Overall, it was a great dinner in a great place with friendly people at a fair price. Now we know where to go the next time we are in Hickory. If you live in the area and haven't tried McGuires, do yourself a favor and go!!! Thanks, McGuire's Pub!!

That level of disrespect is unacceptable. Because of the staff's behavior, we took our entire group, and our business, elsewhere and will not be returning. This experience left a very bad impression, and management should be aware of how their bartenders are representing the establishment.
