I've been to Kilpatrick's a few times and had a mixed bag of experiences. I'll lay out the good and the bad and hopefully you can make an informed decision. My best experience there was for happy hour and that was awesome. They have a great happy hour with 1/2 off of hard liquor and discounted beer. The place isn't too loud and it wasn't too crowded (even on a Friday). The bartender was happy, knowledgeable and not a drag. A very nice way to spend an afternoon after work. My worst experience was going there to watch the SEC championship game. It was myself and 4 friends and we wanted a place with TVs that wouldn't be too crazy and was pretty nice. Kilpatrick's has two TVs behind the bar and I noticed this on a previous visit so that's why we decided to return. But there were a few issues. The first, and biggest, was that there is a policy that they can't/won't put the volume on for games. It should be explained that there was only one other guy in the bar at the time and he was there to watch the game too, so literally 100% of the customer base at the time wanted the volume for the game. No dice. Second, the bartender wasn't pleasant in the least. I'm not sure if she's had to deal with people asking about the volume on games before, just got up on the wrong side of the bed, or what the deal was. But she wasn't making any friends. So we all finished our drinks and headed down the street to City Tavern where we spent the next 3 hours watching the game. If I had to sum things up I'd say the moral of the story is that Kilpatrick's is good for happy hour but not good for watching sporting events. Choose wisely my friends.

Surprisingly amazing food! This place has a great lunch menu. I had the tacos and was overwhelmed with the delicious flavors. It's definitely a small place but great atmosphere.

Nice little pub. Had a beer and food before heading upstairs to the comedy show. Great service

Nice little pub with a few surprises... there is a comedy club upstairs and a dance club behind. 3-in-1. Three separate places in one great location. Something for everyone.

Sat outside on a Saturday and it took 20 minutes to put in our drink order. The hostess put in our appetizer order. We never got our drinks.

Dennis & Logan are two of the dopest bartenders out there who also know how to make a killer drink. I love coming here for Dennis' expert take on an old fashioned, which he has spent a lot of time and effort refining. And I don't kid when I say that this is Greenville's best old fashioned. The attitude behind the bar is very laidback, which will likely offput people expecting a pretentious, posh atmosphere. But if you want a drink made by people who care about what goes in your glass, trust me, pay Rey's a visit.

One bartender (with a nose piercing) yelled at my brother-in-law for placing a small piece of paper behind the bar because there was no trash can near the dart area. When my brother asked if he would have preferred it be thrown on the floor, the bartender replied, "Actually, yes." It was a clear no-win situation. The overall tone from the staff felt aggressive and confrontational. Another bartender (with longer hair) made a comment to our group saying, "If that bitch blows her whistle again," using derogatory language toward women in our party. That level of disrespect is unacceptable. Because of the staff's behavior, we took our entire group, and our business, elsewhere and will not be returning. This experience left a very bad impression, and management should be aware of how their bartenders are representing the establishment.

It was so dark in there so I could barely see at the end haha. The table we went to was chipping on the side so anytime I moved it caught my dress which I wasn't not a fan of. The double stuffed was more like a soufflé than a cake - the star of that plate was the cheesecake ice cream. The chai mocktail was alright. It had a coffee ice cube which I wasn't a fan of since it was like gritty. 3 drinks and two desserts were $65. I feel like that's insane. Again - I get it, it's an experience but, eh. I feel like I could get better deserts elsewhere and now that I experienced it - I wouldnt be a repeat customer.

We may try again one day, but not too soon. I do love the menu process and ease to view options.

We had made reservations and specifically requested an outdoor table on the side of the restaurant as opposed to the front, main sidewalk. We had great seats for people watching on a Friday, just as the workday was ending and foot traffic was steady. This was great for sharing a nice bottle of wine and appetizers. Our waitress, Lilly, was very attentive and did a great job taking care of us. Even with the beautiful weather, we still didn't want to eat too heavy and we each got the spinach strawberry salad with red onions, goat cheese, crispy prosciutto bites and strawberry vinaigrette with the added protein of blackened grouper. It was as delicious as the picture looks. I loved the sweet and salty contrast in the salad from the goat cheese and prosciutto and offset by the strawberries. The grouper addition was cooked excellently and added just the right balance to the dish. A few months ago we had just a couple of drinks at an outside table here and decided to redo it for a longer drinks, appetizers and dinner, and we were not disappointed in any way. I highly recommend this if you are fortunate enough to get good weather! Edit: Almost every dish offered has a gluten free option available

The mac and cheese? I reached for the table salt. I rarely reach for the table salt at a restaurant. Ehhh... The Peaches & Cream Crème Brûlée had too much makeup and was late to the party. The raspberry topping and wilted apple(?) chip were unnecessary, and it was missing that fresh crème brûlée crack. I did dig the peach preserves hiding underneath--like a Dannon Fruit on the Bottom surprise. Honestly, I'd rework the whole thing as a peach flan. The staff absolutely made the experience. I just wish the food slapped like the staff.

We went for the halibut, and were not disappointed. The fish was nicely seared and creatively served with peach chutney, broccoli salad with shaved almond, golden raisins, radish... We had a wedge salad that was as good as any I have had. Nice touch. Desert was a single Sticky Toffee Pudding covered with Vanilla Bean ice cream. The pudding had no chocolate, yet it convinced both of us that it did have rich chocolate. It's a date based dessert. We enjoyed speaking with two of the owners Chris and his wife Dakota. Both were very engaging people. Chris was seen frequently checking on guests, organizing things, etc. They stopped by and spoke at length more than once. The place is busy and noisy, do be aware.
