My cashier offered me a lot of information and made sure I felt taken care of. I like the mesh of interior colors between the metallic tinge of the kitchen, the beige tabletops, and the red highlights. The Kebab Shop hits the right notes - fair pricing, fresh quality ingredients, GENEROUS portions, and tasty flavors! For this trip, I got their bowl, and I recommend my build: Bowl ($14) with Lamb Beef (+$1.90) 2 base sides: fried & saffron rice Keep "The Original" build: romaine, red cabbage slaw, pickled onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, and O.G. Yogurt sauce (basically an addictive garlic yogurt sauce). Then definitely get extra sides of more O.G. Yogurt sauce and their Cilantro Jalapeño sauce. You get garlicky goodness, tempered by the creamy yogurt, and then a zesty kick plus heat with the cilantro jalapenos. Looks like I'll be adding this place to my rotation of to-go places. From start to finish, this place kept nailing it. IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. The portions were packed! You definitely get your moneys worth. Highly recommend spending that extra amount on steak. You know a place is good when you can see the kitchen. The service was top tier. The girl working on Saturday 7/26 at 1 pm, you were so sweet and accommodating. I had The Kebab Shop today for lunch with a friend. We walked in and the restaurant was clean and the worker that took our order was very nice. I ordered a bowl with steak. I got the saffron rice, hummus, feta cheese, grilled veggies, pita strips, olives, etc. I loved having options. We chose to sit at an outdoor table on their patio and our food was brought out to our table. The food was served hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friend had the steak plate and was also happy with her choice. One of the employees even walked back bye us at one point and asked if everything was ok. My family and I are obsessed with this place! I'm actually so sad I missed the yelp elite event for this bc we go here almost weekly! I joke with my husband that I influenced it to come to this side of OC bc I always saw it and ate TKS in the Irvine/costa mesa side and I loved it so much I wrote to the corporate office to come to Yorba Linda side and now it's close enough in brea! lol We love their wraps! We do the chicken wraps with fries in side and obsessed with the garlic sauce! The kids love it too and even though they're huge they surprisingly eat it all, which as a mom I love to see it! Here's my problem right now. We trusted the reviews so gave this place a shot. And you know when you are hyped up and then it falls short so you feel angry and upset? Yep. Here's my recap: Sirloin steak is ok. Greek salad is also ok. The citrus dressing is nice on my salad and the dill yogurt is also fine. Nothing is 5 star worthy though. My biggest problem is the saffron rice. WTF . Why does it taste like it was cooked with shitass tap water, giving it that weird metal taste when seafood is off. Like, ew. I'm so upset my rice is so off. If this business is reading this, please make sure you're using clean filtered water when cooking. Most of my dinner just ended up in the trash. For what we paid, that's irritating. Should've just gone to CAVA. 3 stars because it wasn't the worst. But as an Asian, I'm so damn offended by the rice. read more

We got 2 wraps and they were so dry , mine had a weird sour taste and the other had a strange plastic taste, almost like the food was stored in a Tupperware for days. We also got a side of pita chips and taziki sauce and they didn't give the taziki sauce. We also asked for a side of dill yogurt and they gave the most ridiculous tiny amount. I've been to their Cypress location last year so when a friend suggested we head to this one, I knew I was down. This location offers indoor and outdoor seating and there's plenty of both. When you walk in, you have the option to order either from their kiosk or at the front. I opted for their salad bowl with a side of falafel. I also added red onions and jalapenos to my bowl. I love how fresh all the ingredients are. The falafels weren't dry and I appreciated how crispy it was on the outside and soft it was on the inside. Right by the drink station are their three popular sauces, which you can get as much of for free! This place would definitely be a great quick lunch spot. Make sure you check out their sauce bar because their cilantro jalapeno and fire chili sauces are delicious! Their OG sauce was a little underwhelming as it was very runny and not so garlicky. Overall, the bowl was great but the portions could've been a little better. Overall, The Kebab Shop is a solid place for a quick Mediterranean experience that serves up fresh and delicious food. Felt like something different and saw there were a lot of people here so we decided to give it a try. It's fast-paced and noisy with the guy barking out orders and there isn't a whole lot of seating space but seems like most of the orders were to go or delivery anyway. We are familiar with Mediterranean food but not experts. I don't think I've ever had the pita bread cooked like that, charred (?), it was so good, it was addicting! But I forgot to order hummus for it. I had the lamb plate with saffron rice and Greek salad, so much food it was overflowing. We tried The Kebab Shop for the first time, and it was a really disappointing experience. I was excited based on the photos, but almost everything fell short. I ordered a wrap while my partner had a bowl. The wrap seemed like a better value since it was nearly five dollars cheaper and seemed to include more food. Unfortunately, the tortilla was burnt to the point that every bite tasted like char. I chose falafel as my protein, and it was extremely dry and overcooked. As for the bowl, the rice was mushy and overcooked, with a texture more like poorly made white rice. What really ruined the experience, though, was the sauce bar. I went to pump some of their hot sauce, and it exploded. It got all over my shirt and into my eyes. My eyes were burning, and I was so embarrassed. While I was waiting to use the restroom, my partner overheard a woman talking to one of the employees about the exact same thing happening to her. She was lucky it only got on her clothes. The employee, who seemed to be a supervisor, asked if I was okay and said he would grab something to help, but came back empty-handed. He said he had spoken to the manager, but all they could do was apologize. No one offered to comp the meal, cover dry cleaning, or even run across the complex to grab eye drops. I just sat there in a sauce-covered shirt trying to deal with the discomfort. The manager walked in later and didn't say a word to us. It's clearly not the first time this has happened. You can see dried splatters all over the wall, especially from their cilantro jalapeño sauce, which is also too chunky for a pump dispenser. If your sauces are thick, maybe don't use pumps. My eye recovered, but this whole thing could've gone very differently. I'm sure the company won't care about losing just one customer or reading a negative review, but I'm sharing this so others can be cautious. If you do decide to eat here, be extremely careful with the sauce pumps, especially the hot sauce and cilantro jalapeño. This kind of incident shouldn't be happening, and I hope they take real steps to fix it. read more

The longhorn plate was disappointing, with the steak tasting low quality, dry, super salty, and small in portion. The truffle rice didn't have any truffle taste, and the falafels were strange. They were weirdly moist/mushy and overly salty. The wrap was decent but really light on protein so you felt like you were eating mostly wrap and lettuce. The plate definitely isn't worth the $20+ and the wrap is definitely not worth $15+. I wouldn't crave anything to return and it didn't hit the spot in flavor.
