Delicious and reliable lunch that reminded me a lot of Cava. To note, only the lamb is halal.

Food taste amazing and the vibe here is chill and I can watch my sports here in peace. The service is immaculate and the food comes out hot and ready. I enjoy coming here often when I have a chance

Love this Mediterranean restaurant! Everything is great but the wraps are my fave! One wrap is about $15 but it could easily be split into two servings!!

Protein Bowl with Chicken Shawarma.
Melinda L.

Did a return visit to The Kebab Shop and the food was just as great as the first. This time, I ordered the Protein Bowl with the Chicken Shawarma and all the fixings with: Saffron Rice, Baby Greens, the Classic Bowl Toppings, with the added Feta Cheese, Tzatziki Dip, and the Fire Hummus. It was all so delicious and the portions are very generous. I also really like their Fire Chilli and Dill Yogurt, which you can actually get at the self-serve area by the soft drink machine. Trust me, you will keep going for more! The staff are pretty friendly, I really like the young lady that's there from my first visit, but my recent visit not much interaction from the staff or really a greeting. Just got my food, dined-in, and stepped out when I was done. Lots of parking either across or behind the shop.

TKS is one of my favorite Mediterranean fast casual spots around. This new location in Brea is situated in a great spot, offering ample parking and spacious dining options, both inside and on the patio. A variety of ordering options are available, including cashier, self-order kiosks, the website, and call-in. During a recent visit, I ordered the half-and-half bowl, which came with saffron rice and baby greens. My protein was the carved lamb and beef, my favorite. I also enjoyed a fountain drink and tried all the available sauces. The bowl was filled generously, as expected, just like at other locations I've been to. The meal was perfect for my appetite. The wraps are also a favorite menu item that are very filling and hearty. The fresh ingredients really stand out and satisfy the hunger. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, and the staff was friendly and hardworking. I definitely recommend and will continue to support this business. Until next time!!

10/10 bowls. No notes. Coming here again with my dog so he can try the amazing chicken shawarma!!

Bright, airy restaurant

If Mediterranean cuisine isn't the prettiest debutante at the ball, I don't know who is... Let your favorite Yelp Correspondent explain- Over the past few years there's been an explosion in the number of restaurants specializing in the lemony-garlicky cuisine of the Syrian/Lebanese/Turkish/Greek diaspora. To wit, within a ten-mile radius of my Diamond Bar home, I can choose from Georgie's Mediterranean, Doner G, Nick's Greek, Spitz, The Olive Pit, Jasmine Grill, Toasty's and DVine. All but the last two I've faithfully reviewed on Yelp. Entering the fray, buoyant after her triumphant run as a powerhouse of the San Diego Mediterranean scene, is TKS. The Kabob Shop. I wasn't super hungry, so I declined a bowl or platter option for a wrap, choosing Chicken Shawarma as my protein. The D-Wrap come dressed with pickled onions, red cabbage slaw, Romaine lettuce, saffron rice and your choice of two sauces: Their OG creamy yogurt sauce or a cilantro-jalepeño if you're seeking a stiffer kick. Pros: -Immaculately clean, airy, brightly lit environs that truly sing "Welcome Guests!" to visitors! -Clever, well-placed marketing- I ran the marketing division for two Fortune 100 global powerhouse firms...So imagine my pleasant surprise and nod of appreciation when I see a "Kebab Your Head to Our Handpicked TKS Soundtrack!" invitation with accompanying QR code for you to scan. Talk about ingenious marketing of your brand! Bravo! -Sacking the pita for a tortilla. Let's be honest, fellow Mediterranean wrap lovers, but the pita has always been an imperfect vessel, riiiiight?! Slightly too thick, crumbly, begins clumsily disintegrating into your anguished hands midway thru your meal. TKS smartly ditched the pita and turned its eyes westward from its Grecian-Syrian base towards Spain and pinpointed the FLOUR TORTILLA, toasted. The result is a snugly wrapped sando that'll stand up to the ministrations of your hands and mouth as you devour your meal. customer service- The young lady, a vivacious Asian woman with bright, cheery smile, was super gracious, asked if I had any questions and even hand-delivered my takeout bag to me when your hard-of-hearing correspondent didnt hear her call my order. Cons: -Only one. Kick up your condiment game, please. My wrap was, even with extra OG yogurt sauce, a little on the dry side. I had asked, up front, if they could apply mayonnaise to my wrap. No can do. So- For folks whose taste buds can't tolerate the jalapeño side of their cilantro-'pena sauce, please expand your available condiments. My bill was $15.51, incl taxes.

The shawarma was worth it!! It was bigger than my head. Everything in it was well flavored.

The wrap san diego style was fire. Analiz provided the greatest service offering to cut the wrap in half as well as giving extra sauce sides that were not self served. She was helpful in providing how it works menu wise as well as giving all the recommendations. 10/10 service for her! We went with the carved chicken which was perfectly moist and the right amount of seasoning. The fries were a nice touch inside tied with the rice and all the toppings that it could come with. Everything felt light but fulfilling. This location has plenty of parking and is located in a plaza with other walkable options. The place was clean, organized and had plenty of seating areas. They have self serve sauces you can grab either to dine there or to take out! I'd recommend coming back to check this place out!

tldr; clean restaurant with many different Mediterranean options - lovely and helpful staff :) Trying The Kebab Shop today after work. I decided to go with the wrap with the new grilled chicken shawarma, I added all toppings plus saffron rice and hummus. SERVICE 5/5 I was greeted by Angel, he was super accommodating and so nice. He took the time to explain the menu to me along with the different sauces they offer which I appreciated. I loved his energy! I would definitely come back again with friends and family. FOOD 5/5 Omg! This wrap was huge, the portions are incredible. I was able to split this into 4 pieces. It was so fresh, filling, and delicious. I loved their sauces, my favorites were the O.G. yogurt and the Cilantro Jalapeño. I liked the Fire Chili but it definitely has a kick to it. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken shawarma, it was so juicy. I want to come back to try more of the meat options. He also gave me dill yogurt dressing and a vinegar oil that usually comes with the salads but was soooo good on the wrap. Overall, this was such a healthy and tasty meal.

Beef plate $20ish

Super excited to have kebab shop in the north OC area! Upon walking in, you immediately get "brand new" vibes. Everything is clean, bright, and well... new lol They have kiosks available if you want to place your order directly, we chose to go to the counter and order with the employee. Analiz was super personable and took her time with reviewing our order (and explaining how the menu works). The menu works like a chipotle/Panda Express. Choose your meal type (wrap, bowl, plate) then your protein, sides, etc. Overall price point is decent depending on what you get. Personal opinion- plates are overpriced for what you're getting. We tried their beef plate (which is a up charge for beef) and their chicken wrap. The plate was about $20 and the wrap was about $15. We waited about 20 minutes for our order. They weren't super busy, had 2 folks working the kitchen, and 1 working the register. They did have folks picking up orders throughout so we understood there were more orders being fulfilled than for just the folks in the restaurant but, 20 minutes for casual cuisine is still too long. The true reason we come to the kebab shop is their sauce. The garlic sauce and cilantro sauce, addicting. You will want to drink this stuff. Overall, a good option for a quick casual meal. In a nice shopping center with Whole Foods, club Pilates, corepower yoga, coffee shops, and other restaurants. A bit pricey but, if you get the right items, still a solid choice!

The San Diego, with Shrimp, this is half! It definitely can be shared.
Tim C.

Ordered the San Diego with shrimp , excellent, comes with fries inside the wrap. Good service and great food.

Lamb gyro plate - delicious!
P K.

We came here for lunch and it did not disappoint!! Everything we ordered was delicious! I got the Chicken shawarma wrap which was so big and delicious!! The lamb gyro plate was so tasty my husband was fully satisfied! Falafel was soft inside and crunchy outside! Dips were all good! Our favorite was the OG yogurt and the cilantro jalapeños dip was perfect!!! Highly recommended!!

Great service, friendly environment and delicious food, what more can you ask for?…read more We got the falafel platter appetizer, solid first course and definitely shareable with 4+ people. The pesto was preferred over the Bolognese. The Mediterranean salad was tastier than the Caesar. The meat lovers is a good option if you're indecisive. This place can accommodate a large party (6+) but it may be a bit snug. Parking can be tough since it's a popular plaza.

I usually love Panini Grill and count on them for consistent food and service, but my first visit…read moreto the Brea location today was a total mess. My friend and I had lunch on the patio and waited a solid 30 minutes just to get water. The service was painfully slow and careless; tables around us were left uncleaned, and when our food arrived, we had no utensils. After asking the food runner and waiting around while our meals got cold, my friend finally had to get up and track down silverware herself. When the waiter finally acknowledged us, he literally threw the utensils onto the table. Then, when we asked for extra napkins, he actually put his hand up to block us and just walked away. I was so shocked by the blatant rudeness that I called for the manager. While the manager apologized and gave us a free dessert, a sweet treat doesn't fix a total lack of professionalism. If employees hate being there that much, they shouldn't be working in hospitality! Management is also to blame by keeping them employed. When reading some of the other reviews, seems like service is really lacking here and the waiters have major attitude problems. The food is always great, but this type of behavior and level of disrespect makes me never want to come back. I will take my money elsewhere.

Bottom Line Up Front: If you like Greek food but don't want…read moreto pay big bucks at an traditional sit-down restaurant, Apola can be your yummy, budget-friendly alternative. The Food: Let me start by saying this is clearly an American take on Greek food, so if you're looking for super authentic food, look elsewhere. But if you're OK with a fusion, Apola will satisfy your Mediterranean craving. There are gyros (pita wraps), bowls, combo plates, and burritos (see, there's that American take I was talking about). All of them range in quality from average to really good. Though I've been here several times, I'll focus on my last visit when we got "the Works" pita wrap and a Greek salad bowl. For the Works, it comes with all the fixings, your choice of protein, and fries stuffed inside (yes, inside, not as a side). I chose beef-and-lamb gyro meat, which came in a huge portion. (Pro Tip: I pulled the fries out and got a "free" side. Of course , there's not a lot of fries, but enough to satisfy my fried food craving.) The gyro was big and tasty. For the Greek salad bowl, we also got beef-and-lamb gyro meat. Once again, they hooked it up with the quantity. Nice! The ingredients (tomatoes, cucumber, feta, etc) were all fresh and seasoned nicely. Side note: I do find it odd that they call this dish a salad bowl when it comes in a rectangular plastic tray. But semantics aside, it was quite good. I also ordered a fountain drink and got a Coke. It was nice a crisp with a lot of carbonation. Just the way I like it. It's not as good as the exclusive Coke blend at McDonald's, but was a close second. I have had some pretty watered down Cokes at other places in recent years. The Service: There were two young gentlemen working the last time I visited, and they were both friendly and knowledgeable. They even brought our meals to our table, which was a nice touch for a fast food establishment. The Setting: It's located inside the recently revamped Yorba Linda Downtown, which has revitalized the area and made it a pleasant place to hang out. Unfortunately, on weekends, it's hard to find parking sometimes. Fortunately we came on a weekday and got parking nearby. Inside, Apola is clean and tidy with roughly enough tables and chairs for a variety of party sizes. The Conclusion: Apola offers good Mediterranean-inspired food for a reasonable price (compared to other restaurants these days) -- just don't expect it to be 100% authentic Greek food. It's not perfect and not super cheap, but with the right expectations set, I plan to return on semi-regular basis.

But where Pita Hot sets itself apart from those places is the community. When you walk in, you're greeted with smiles, a question about how your day is, and if you've been there a few times, a quick "how's the wife and kids?" Although some people may see the price tags and wince, they do not skimp on portions. They will fill your plate to the absolute brim, give you one huge pita, and send you on your way. The flavors on the food are nothing to scoff at either. The hummus, tabbouleh, and beef skewer are absolute hits. Flavorful bites with the perfect amount of balance between the acidity of the tabbouleh, the light and rich hummus, and the meatiness of the beef. The shrimp skewer is tasty as well but not something I think I'd get again. The rice pairs well with everything, and as I've mentioned before, the humongous pita they give you is delicious as well. A three skewer plate is enough for two people! All in all, Pita Hot has been around this long for a reason. Their business model and recipes are tried and true. Overall, 9/10.
