This is our second time dining at TKS and the food tastes just as amazing as the first time! Fast-casual food should be real and wholesome and TKS delivers that entirely. Love that they have fuss-free ordering options that let you customize your meals however you like. Their sauces are amazing and nothing is overly salty. I also love that they offer fries - though not always a healthy side dish, it is great for the little picky eaters we have! Visited the new location last night, they're still in their soft opening stage. We tried the halal options - beef kofta & carved lamb beef. As for sides, we did saffron rice, falafel, tabbouleh, and grilled veggies. The tabbouleh was seasoned perfectly & the highlight for me! Their cilantro & dill sauces were our favorites; especially the unique sweet flavor of the dill. The gyro & kebabs themselves were fresh & saffron rice was tasty. For being my first time in The Kebab Shop in Brea. Let me start with the location it's in a nice shopping place on Imperial Hwy. The parking a little busy but manageable. The restaurant it's very clean and it has a sitting area closed to a sauce bar station which I was very impressed. They have different varieties of sauces. Their customer service very nice, professional and attentive. I ordered catering for my company's management and administration department and they love the food. I'm a Kebab Shop Stan and this is the 4th location I've been to in a year! I'm so glad they opened a location in North O.C. as it's close by now. Every Kebab Shop I've been to has always been immaculate, the flavor is consistent and the service is excellent. For me, what sets them apart from other places is the charred flatbread that they use. It's thinner than pita bread, almost like tortilla thickness/texture, but the flavor is different. My go-to order is the wrap with the grilled beef kofta as the protein. The Kofta is tasty and tender and I usually have one of each sauce to dunk it in. I ordered a wrap from this location via their website but went out on a limb and got it San Diego style and it wasn't for me. I prefer the wrap straight up, without the fries as it takes away from the flavor of the meat. If you're looking to switch up your chain restaurant go-to's, Kebab Shop is the place to make the switch. read more

Delicious food. Best hummus I've had in years and the only one I've had that rivals my homemade. Had the falafel plate with tabbouleh, which was excellent as well with a good balance of bulgur wheat, parsley, and lemon. Sauce bar is an interesting choice. I didn't get a picture. I got the basic chicken wrap to go. It was delicious! The chicken is flavorful but a little dry (shredded chicken thigh) and there is maybe 4 ounces of it inside. The fresh romaine lettuce and pickled onions were complimented by just the right amount of yogurt dressing. Everything was perfectly wrapped in a tortilla which seemed long compared to its width. I like it this way though! Nothing falls out while you are driving. It's about 30% more expensive than a Chipotle burrito and about half as filling but you feel like you ate something healthy. It's too expensive for me to pay full price so I'll wait for the next promo. read more

We're thrilled to have The Kebab Shop in Brea, only 8 minutes from our house. In 2022, I reviewed the San Ramon location and asked them to open in Yorba Linda. Well, I will take Brea, that definitely works for me! The Kebab Shop is great for a delicious, fast-casual dinner or an amazing solution to catering for a big group. We came to the Brea location on Monday and enjoyed Kebab Plates, which consist of a Kebab and two sides. I chose a chicken skewer which was chicken tenderloin marinaded in saffron/spices and then I had Greek Salad and roasted veggies for my sides. It was flavorful and with a little OG Yogurt, I was happy with my dinner. Our little guy got the kids box which was carved chicken, and two sides which he chose Greek Salad and fries. It was quite large but I would expect that as it was kind of expensive. I have had great luck in the past using TKS for a dinner party so I'll include some of my tips and tricks below. I'll definitely be calling up this location for a future dinner party. Party tips: ***If you're throwing a party and want the easiest dinner, order the Crave Pack. A Large Crave pack serves 20-30 ($295) and a Small serves 10-15 ($150). It includes Greek Salad, Saffron Rice, Pita, Garlic Yogurt and Spicy Cilantro Sauce. And you can choose either carved chicken, Grilled Chicken or Carved Lamb Beef Doner. ***Add a small catering order of Falafel (serves 10-15) for $45! ***Consider chafing dishes! We used a large chafing dish for the chicken and then 2 half chafing dishes for the falafel and the rice. This kept everything warm while people came back for seconds and thirds. And side note: the falafel is very light so if you're using a chafing dish, the chafing dish is going to float. If you want it to look uniform with the other chafing dish, consider weighting it down. ***Plan for a bit of time to cut the pita: We were given tons of Pita and they are not cut. While there was more than enough pita for people to grab one and pull apart to eat, we hate waste and not everyone wants to commit to eating a whole pita or two. Quick and easy solution was to pile a few pitas on a cutting board at a time and do 2 quick slices so they were quartered. Or better yet, ask The Kebab Shop to cut for you...I bet they would do it. I was excited to try this place as there is a lack of quick and easy kabob type places in the Yorba Linda area (Brea is close enough). It's still soft opening so I'll lead with a couple of quick notes that will probably get ironed out on full open. First, the line situation is awkward because the have a digital order kiosk right beside the regular line so I saw a few people frustrated that they didn't know if they should order at the kiosk or from the line so people got out of order quickly. Next, the order too about 20 minutes which is normal for a sit down restaurant but way too long for a quick place like this. Anyway, now the good notes....food taste was on point. I ordered the beef kofta and my wife got the falafel. Everything was tasty, tasted fresh, was served hot. It's not that serving size were small but when compared to serving size at Cava, for example, the price for size is small. However, it's plenty of food. The ambiance is clean and basic. They had employees bringing in stuff from outside so it wasn't as clean as I assume it will be but I'd say overall great clean level for soft launch. I also feel like the food tastes more "home cooked" and cooked to order in a good way and not like the Cava machine of huge vats of stuff. Prices are reasonable given the area and portions. Staff was friendly. Nice work! I think once they dial in for full launch, this place will do well here. read more
