    Prime Rib
    Emilia R.

Lovely resturant, wonderful staff, fantastic food. Truly the trifecta. Thank you guys for making my mother's birthday special. She really LOVED the béarnaise sauce here. My prime rib was seriously amazing. The mashed potatoes were chunky which is not my favorite but I genuinely enjoyed my entire dish. I would come back here and recommend to anyone visiting Toronto. They know good food and good wine!

Good experience at the Keg, we had a reservation for two on a weekday for happy hour which is until 6pm. We got some snacks to share: the cauliflower, blue cheese wings, a Caesar, and eton mess for dessert Originally we wanted the shrimp cocktail but we were told that it was sold out... But an hour later we noticed another table got it which was strange... The food was pretty good, enjoyed everything. The meringue in the eton mess was a little soggy, that is my only complaint. All servers and hosts were accommodating, we requested a last minute switch from indoor seating to the patio which they were kind enough to help us with. Washrooms are clean, and the restaurant is well decorated. Would come back for a meal sometime!

Wait.. The Keg is good? Well the prime rib sure is. Maybe it's just me, but The Keg was mostly a high school / early university memory for me, eating subpar steaks thinking it was the fanciest restaurant ever. And now after a delightful after work event, I'm glad to be proven wrong - The Keg is back on the menu. The Keg kept up with their decor, modern and business-casual stylish, perfect for an after work get together. They offer happy hour up to 6pm, so we were able to sneak a quick drink in at the bar. Nothing special here except for the prices. The main thing to order is actually not necessarily the steaks but the prime rib. Pictured is the 10oz prime ribs served with veggies, fried curly onions, dressed with a light gravy and zingy horseradish. Get the 10oz if you want a meal, 14oz if you want to be full, and 18oz if you've skipped lunch or you're bulking. Either way you're getting a good deal because the cut is splendid. Cooked medium rare, the prime rib exudes premium beef flavours with consistent fat distribution. The meat is succulent and tender, coupled with the dressing to bring up the intensity of the flavours. I was thoroughly impressed by the flavour and the balance brought with the sides, especially at these prices in King West. Come to The Keg, get the prime rib, and enjoy a glass of reasonably priced happy hour red with it.

Love this place , they had a very good service and very cozy atmosphere , foods and drinks are great

Rib Steak is by far my favourite cut.

Must be pandemic related cutbacks, but for some reason, I didn't feel like I was at the Keg that I was use to. The decore was the same, but there was something off. Just can't place it. Was it the pay per item that use to be free? Perhaps it will come to me on my next visit, and I'll update my review. I now relegate the Keg to just a casual dinner place. Better than a diner, but definitely not where I'd go for a true celebration that is worth forever having a memory of a lifetime.

had an amazing time celebrating a birthday here. the summer specials are amazing. our server had some great recommendations and was super attentive. the vibe is more upscale but doesn't feel snooty in anyway. we ordered three apps to share and i got the surf and turf with lobster. everything was perfectly cooked. they're ice cream cake was AMAZING. like nothing i've ever had before. was hard to share ;) pretty expensive but nothing we didn't expect for a steakhouse meal.

Great spot to eat near the Sheraton Centre hotel. Came in for lunch and ordered the delicious chicken pot pie. Yumm! Service was nice - Jennifer was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance is also nice and we have a great time

Had some last minute plans with friends and decided to visit the Keg on King St West as they fortunately had a table available for our group. The interior was beautiful and spacious. We were seated close enough to the bar area where we could watch a game which was nice. Service was AMAZING - Priya took care of us so well the entire time and made the overall experience very enjoyable. Steaks were good, cooked to exactly what I wanted, and wasn't too dry. We had an order that had the wrong side but they quickly corrected it for us. We were celebrating a birthday and got a free dessert as well which was really kind of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this location for those who are looking for exceptional service! Shoutout to Priya again for making the dining experience so superb!

Not the best Keg location but definitely high on my list. The interior is absolutely beautiful and spacious. Service was great, too. The only downside was that for a party of four, they placed us in the middle of the dining room on a table thats meant for two people. Plates and glasses kept being knocked over. The food itself definitely took longer than usual but it was a full dining room and it was Nuit Blanche. The Beef Wellington ($43) was on the menu and we all decided to order it. It's such a shame that it's a seasonal menu because it was absolutely delicious and would order it again. The loaded nachos ($21) was a bit stale and bland. Definitely do not recommend it. The birthday cake was decadent and was able to enjoy it with four people.

I find it very hard to order a steak at any restaurant because the majority don't get medium rare cooked right. Let me tell you the last few times that I've come to The Keg they have gotten it right everytime! Order the sirloin oscar as it's the perfect pairing of steak and scallops/shrimp with a rich and delightful bernaise sauce. The BEST!

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary. It was our first time at The Keg. The food was great and Aroussa was wonderful. She brought us a big slice of mud pie to celebrate. Highly recommend .

Great spot to come in for a great dinner, and we were happy to be able to walk in and sit down immediately, without reservation, on a Saturday night during TIFF! First off, this place is absolutely massive. When I first walked in to check out how big it was, I didn't know how far back it stretched. So they have a lot alot of tables. The star loss only comes from the mix up in the beginning upon seating, a communication error happend and left us sitting and waiting for like 20 ish minutes, but it picked up from their. The server was awesome. Very friendly, knowledgable, social, well known on the menu, spirits, suggestions, all of it was great. The food, was good. I wouldn't say it was memorable, but it certainly wasn't bad. Drinks were mixed perfectly though, and Dad enjoyed the beer. Anyhow, we talked to the manager for a bit too, told us the lowdown on the chain, 100 something stores in Canada, lots more info and such. Then at the end of the meal he brings a huge piece of cake for us, on the house because we were first time visitors. Great spot for dinner, come on down!

The restaurant was surrounded in tanks full of lobster, crab, seafood and then a ton of dry aged steaks. Definitely something you don't see in California. Clean and spacious. Service was what you would expect from a Chinese seafood restaurant. Overall the meal was good, for me and a few others at the table the star of the show was actually the fish. The lobster while impressive when they brought it out was not as flavorful as one would have expected. And same with the king crab legs - my favorite have been the ones I've had in SF. Was interesting to come and experience it but I wouldn't come back. I prefer quality food over an IG-moment.

The establishment is famous for its iconic, towering mountains of deep-fried Hong Kong-style lobster and giant Alaskan king crabs.Without a doubt, the food is exceptional. The seafood is extraordinarily fresh--pulled straight from massive surrounding glass tanks--and prepared to absolute perfection with their signature Maggi sauce and garlic toppings. However, the major downside here is the notoriously slow and chaotic service. Due to the massive crowds, servers can be hard to flag down, orders take a long time to arrive, and the staff often feels rushed or inattentive. The modern, chic decor sets a wonderful ambiance, and the service was immediate and welcoming. The food was spectacular from start to finish. We started with fresh, warm bread, followed by a flavorful seafood gumbo loaded with meat, and a generous portion of two lightly breaded crab cakes. For our mains, the 10oz ribeye and 8oz tenderloin were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection--compliments to the chef! They came with a lovely side of baby potatoes and vegetables. We capped off a perfect meal with a warm pecan tart and ice cream. I highly recommend coming here. We noticed they have a pizza oven and plan to add pizza to the menu soon; we already can't wait for our next visit to try it out! There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

Now I can go to heaven, in peace. Place is small, and waiting for a table is de rigor. We placed our name in the Google waitlist, then waited another hour to be seated on Friday night. Based on reviews, got the Singapore chili crabs with the king oyster mushrooms (under the crab it soaked up all the goodness), spicy clams garlic veggies and the beef in black pepper/garlic. All were well done, the veggies had great wokhai, met with appreciation at the table. Clams and crabs were spicy for some and ok for others (our table was Cantonese and Korean). Crab was delicious, and the sauce called for rice to be mixed in after the crab was done. It filled us, but not too much.
